These always start off a little whacky and then they pack all their punches in the third act (or in this omnibus’ case: the second and third acts 👏🏻)
Collects volumes 3 and 4 - volume 4 (#20-25) deserves 4.5 stars by itself (#20-24 were a reread in this collection)
The Kraken/leviathan stand alone was so good it bumped the whole collection up to a .75 for me

These HC volumes really show how many plates Percy is spinning at once in his Wolverine and X-Force volumes. They make for some multi-layered stories!

This one seems to focus on Solem, who we get a great intro for, but he's old by the time he returns in a really muddy Judgment Day crossover. There's also a strong Deadpool story, some nice continued use of Logan's intelligence-agency bud, and quite a bit of Maverick, some of which grows on me.

Overall, A Wolverine series that respects his histories!

The first arc with Solem & Sevyr & the one shot issue with Wolverine fighting a sea monster was so good, like freaking good i can't put the book down! But when it comes to the second arc with Wolverine and the team on a mission to find a krakoa device, his missing hand, with celestial on judgment, bla bla bla.. i don't remember what else was thrown in. It's too much of everything & you need to keep up. it's a bit messy. Thank god with Deadpool humour & silly jokes joining the mission, adding a fun to it. I enjoyed his banter with Wolverine & the fight he put up with.

Adam Kubert is killing it here with inventive layouts and plenty of brooding. Percy has a muddled storyline with plenty of room to let the art breathe, and he nails the grumpy, altruistic Wolverine inner monologue.

Do you need to read this book? No. Does it do what a Wolverine book should? Yes.

That's some good reading.

Very fun series. A must read. I enjoyed every issue. Give it a go. Well worth the money. Bring on the next book!
