An introduction to a wide variety of sports for kids.

This starts with the "big five" as they call them: basketball, football (US), baseball, soccer, and hockey. Each of those sports gets several page spreads with the basic rules, playing areas, moves, and positions outlined. After that the book has chapters with 1-2 pages on each sport of other team sports, individual sports, winter sports, and the olympics (winter, summer, paralympics, and special). It does a pretty good job of covering all the main sports kids would play around the world and throws in a couple more obscure ones too.
