Gangwars, crime, Station politics, and interstellar espionage. Some can get you paid. All can get you killed.
Gunny has barely survived the last three days, and things are just getting harder. The list of people who want him and his partner dead is getting longer, Station Noir is about to erupt in riots, interstellar forces are preparing to strike, and the money’s not great.
Gunny would love to quit while he‘s ahead and let someone else save Station Noir.
But life on the Station doesn’t slow down… ever.
A desperate plea for help will lead him to risk it all again. It's not like he has nothing else to do. He’s got to finish the gangwar he started, stop a human bent on revolution, and rig a High Council vote.
But nothing is as it seems. Gunny finds himself a pawn in a game where freedom is at stake and the pieces are controlled by an unknown enemy from the shadows.
If you enjoy non-stop action, interstellar intrigue, and galactic crime you will love Gunny’s thrilling adventures in Shadow Games, the 4th book of Space Station Noir. Get your copy today!
And now I have to wait for book 5! Games has less hilarity, more betrayal and vengeance, some real monsters, more twists and turns than a messed up yarn bag, and a massive double surprise ending. Gunny and Clive are awesome; Clive is still distractable and funny. There was a Gladys cameo, but I needed more Gladys. There are no dull moments in this series. Ola and Josephine are becoming favorites. I read this book in KU; despite the body count, I will buy it to reread.
Clive and Gunny continue their attempts to make a decent wage as criminals for hire in a space station where ostrich-like aliens are the ruling class and humans are barely tolerated (and it's still better for us than the alternative). Unfortunately, conspiracies to conquer the station and slap humans in chains are constantly in motion. Clive and Gunny are now reluctantly looking after alien royalty and they're racking up far more enemies than friends. Solid and entertaining series.
