After being abducted by the Demon King, Erebus, and rescued by the King’s Guard, Cinder Lavaris has moved to the country of Ashbern, to Castleva Manor.
Being the only person living in the manor that isn’t a member of the King’s Guard, she has nothing to spend her free time on except for the Angel, Cashmere Voland, who has completely captivated her.
Unfortunately, Cash seems distant recently and her sister is busy enjoying her mated life and going on missions, leaving her mostly alone. She now spends her free time hanging out with the servants and baking with another male Angel—one that is giving her the attention she needs.
What she doesn’t know is that the King’s Guard is having secret meetings with the rulers of the lands. Erebus is still out there, and the Demons are still attacking, while everyone is keeping it secret from her on her sister’s orders. Will she forgive her sister when more than one secret comes out?
Dreaming of becoming a vampire, I mean author, since she was a youngling, P.S. Nail finally fulfilled her prophecy by self-publishing her first paranormal fantasy romance novel, with many more to come.
She enjoys playing guitar to soothe the draw of the moon, video games to help pacify her blood lust, reading romance and smut books, since she never sleeps, and having a fangtastic time with paranormal friends. Once a month, when the full moon calls, she and her coven dance naked around a magical blazing fire . . . but don’t tell her we told you.
We think she currently lives in the United States, or possibly Romania, with her shifter husband, three hybrid sons, and their pet demons. She lovingly calls them her immortal family.
She will continue to quench her thirst for writing until death, dismissal, or dishonor.
Emerald Skies is book 2 in the Primordial Gods series. It is a NA Fantasy/Paranormal Romance. Please note that you must read this series in order.
If you know me, you know that I am completely obsessed with Violet Flames which is book 1 in this series. I haven’t shut up about it since I read it in ‘22.
While keeping that in mind, I still loved Emerald Skies, but I wasn’t as captivated by it. I am probably the only person in the world that feels this way, but I was honestly rooting for Cinder and the OTHER guy (no spoilers). This swayed my rating greatly. So, if you think the writing, plot, or whatever else isn’t as good in this book you’d be wrong. It’s still amazing. I just wanted the girl to get the OTHER guy which made me not as happy with the love story. I would still highly recommend this book and am looking forward to continuing on with the series. Maybe this means I’ll get to see my guy fall in love in the next book in the series?! One can only hope.
💚Friends to Lovers 💚Found Family 💚T0u(h Her & D!3 💚Alpha Male 💚Angsty
I was lucky enough to BETA read this book and let me tell you, I will be running to my kindle so fast on release day to read it again!
Violet Flames was amazing, but Emerald Skies was on a whole new level. We got to know more of the characters better and met some new friends with Cinder while also getting so invested in the relationships and drama all over! Cinder and Cash are my favorite couple (sorry Ember/Val)😏 with all of the snark and tension and sweetest little precious love they’ve got 🥰🥰
The spice was perfect and wonderfully balanced and the plot through Emerald Skies had me drawn in and obsessed from start to finish! I can’t wait for the next book!!
Friends to lovers is a favorite trope. I love Peggy’s books for the magic and how she incorporates so many creatures into the story. You will absolutely fall in love with all her characters. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Do you want to read an author who never lets you down!! Read everything by P. S. Nail!
What do you do when the angel you're in love with thinks he's not good enough for you? Well in the case of Cinder she bakes tasty treats...a lot of tasty treats. While Cashmere is trying to avoid her, Cinder is trying everything she can in order to keep them together, despite her meddling sister.
A perfect continuation to the Primordial Gods Series as the Kings Guards try to keep peace and the Demons try to wreak havoc on the kingdoms. There's more of Val and Ember but even more so you get to learn more about Cinder and fall in love with her as she falls in love and gets into danger.
Relationships so electricity you feel the sparks and enemies so evil you can't wait for their demise. I was sad to finish it so fast because I need more of the story!
You get to know everyone a little better, you're already emotionally evolved with the characters because of the first book, the romance is a little more romantic because he tries to stay away from her even though he doesn't really 😅, and Ember and Cinder are thrown into the middle of danger which is exciting and makes for a great story. There's a lot to love in this one. This one just made me feel a lot. I'm excited to see the next phase of the series.
Side note to author: when is Zayn getting his own story?! I love him so much! 🥰🥰 I NEED MORE ZAYN! I mean I like them all but Zayn(swoon)
I loved this book. The 1st book is still my favorite out of this series so far though, lol. I did think it started off a little bit slow but I completely understand why. Cinder is more of a quiet character than Ember is and in my opinion a little naive and closed off which is also understandable. But as the story goes on she does grow as a person and does find herself. I really wasn’t a huge fan of Cinder at first but as you see her grown throughout the story I grew to love her. Ember and her are completely different in so many ways but have their own strengths.
I felt for her and with her when she was trying to find her place within Castleva. I love how the author builds on the relationships with each of the characters especially with Cash. You see Cinder struggle and you can feel how she feels in this book. I didn’t think there was as much excitement in this book as with the first one but there is still excitement nonetheless.
I can’t wait to see if there will be more books with this series because I am absolutely in love and addicted and I need more.
After having read the first book in this series, I was really looking forward to reading this one. And I got the amazing opportunity to Beta read it.
The author has absolutely outdone herself. No disrespect to the first book. I loved that one and the powerful bond between Ember and Val is amazing, but the second book is by far my favorite of the two.
The book centers around Ember's sister Cinder and her love interest Cash. This book shows the differences between the two sisters; where Ember is a kickass warrior Cinder is a lot more mentally and emotionally stable than her older sister. Ember is often overbearing and overprotective and Cinder might have just had enough, especially when her sister manages to turn everything upside down because of one of her infamous emotional outbursts that leaves almost everyone hurt and upset.
Without giving too much away.. do prepare for some emotional damage you'll endure when reading the book.
Cinder and Cash’s relationship was the main focus of this book as far as the romance goes, but there were still scenes from Ember and Val’s POV, and the overarching plot of the demons continued. Cinder and Cash were a very sweet couple, kind of naïve at times and unsure of themselves, and it was a very slow burn. Kind of a cozy vibe, with lots of baking. The author even included a cookie recipe at the end, which was a nice touch 😃
We got to meet a few new characters, including a demon that I’m hoping to see some more of. I also want to see Asher and Zayn get paired up with someone, although from the teaser for the third book it looks like the next one is probably going to be Zila. I’m looking forward to it, though! This is a fun world.
“Goodnap, Cinnamon.” Ok, I didn’t think i could say this but Cash has officially surpassed Val. I absolutely loved this book. It has adventure, smut, drama, action, and it will send you on an emotional roller-coaster. PS Nail does so well bringing these characters to life and making you fall in love with each one. I love that there are a variety of species. You get demons, angels, vampires, and casters. Oh and of course the Gods themselves. 🙂 The way this author writes is phenomenal. I love her books. Plan to be immersed into this world and feel like you are there going through it with the characters because this is what will happen. I felt everything right along with them. I cried, smiled, laughed and got mad at times. So good, definitely recommend this.
Cash is INFURIATING 😅 and amazing, and funny, and Hot AF!! The second book in the Primordial Gods series we get Cash and Cinders story as well as learning more about Cinder and her sister Ember. These two bada#& fire casters are not to be messed with.
Ember tries so hard to protect her baby sister and it backfires completely as they are both in great danger from the Demon king. Cinder may not be as physically strong as Ember, but her wits and emotions keep her calm and cool under pressure.
I absolutely LOVE when authors add in back history to the new book without it being completely outside of the read flow. PS Nail does this wonderfully. I’d highly suggest reading Book 1 to get Val and Embers story, but this could easily be read alone without the reader being completely lost.
Emerald Skies is book 2 in the Primordial Gods series of interconnected stand alones.
Another amazing book by PS Nail! I swear every book I read by her gets better and better. She has a way of drawing you into her stories and making you want to continue reading right until the end! The more I learn about the amazing world she created to more in love I fall with this series!
This book follows Cinder and the Kings Guard. You will get more of Ember and Val in the book as well.
I don’t know what to say…but wow. I loved this book. I love these characters! The sexual tension, the sibling drama, the friendly rivalry, the drama, the spice, and let’s not forget the twists and turns!
Other than a small slow spot, I had trouble putting this book down. P. S. Nail did such a fantastic job writing this, that she made me laugh and she made me cry. You need to read this book to find out if my tears were happy tears or sad tears!
I loved reading Cinders and Cash's story just as much as I loved Embers and Val's story. So many emotions through this book. I laughed cried and felt joy for them. I truly cannot wait for the next book to be out to continue on this adventure. I'm so so glad I was able to meet and grab all of PS Nails books back in September. These books have quickly become part of my top 10! Excitedly waiting for more! 💜🖤
An easy 5* review for me. A great book with really strong world building that makes you feel part of the story. A good balance of well written characters that you can't help but fall in love with. The spice 🌶️ was well written and a good balance of heat and frequency. This book has it all, it made me laugh, cry happy tears, cry sad tears and need to take a cold shower! Eagerly awaiting book 3.
I freaking love this series!!! P.S. Nail speaks to my soul in these books. She has created a world that I want to live in!
The romance and spice in these books is perfect for the genre. You really can’t go wrong with BA FMCs, the HOTTEST angels, and the most patient and love able vampire.
I can’t wait to see where she takes this story next 🥰
Who doesn’t love a friends-to-lover trope with just the right amount of miscommunication? Emerald Skies is the second book in the Primordial Gods series by author P.S. Nail that takes you on an adventure that involves all of those wonderful things that we enjoy. You will find fire casters, vampires, demons, fae, and even some angels.
I loved this book as much as I did the first one. PS Nail has a way of writing what one would think of as the old world in a new world light. These books do contain some spice so a warning of 18 + is needed.
This book had everything in it that I needed. The cutest, sweetest courting and romance I could ever ask for, the cinnamon-rollest of MMCs, the cinnamon-bunnest of all FMCs (who eventually grew kitten claws) and all the action and adventure I could ever ask for. Overall, 100000/10 and I DEFINITELY recommend it!!
Do you want to be dragged into a world where the characters are your friends and you can laugh with or at them cry for their heartbreak and happiness then this is the series! Violet Flames and Emerald Skies are amazing and I can't wait for book 3!
This was a easy, fun filled ride, and the witty banter continues. I happened to be a BetaReader for this second installment of The Primordial Gods series and love each character. Instant favorite and can not wait to get the physical copy in hand.
This was a very fun fantasy Paranormal Romance book with plenty of spicy and sweet scenes. There were some parts I found repetitive and slow but overall wasn't enjoyable book and I look forward to more in the future.
I love this series. Cash is a dangerous cinnamon roll that a total romantic. And cinder isnt as innocent as she seem. I love there interaction. I do really like cash but zyan still my favorite.
I loved this book so so so much! I just couldn’t get enough much like the first one it was amazing Cash is just 🤤 an Cinder is just so sweet I love her although I craved pie the entire time I read this lol it was still good I can’t wait for more!!
The second book in the Primordial Gods series brings the characters from book one and continues their story while bringing a new love story to you. There's action, adventure, spice and tears, but a happy ending that will leave you smiling!
I love her characters they are all amazing and unique in their own way. Cinder is so loving and sweet I can’t stand it. I can’t wait to get my hands on book 3.
I really enjoyed this second book in the series. Cash and Cinder had its ups and downs with plenty of action. Along with sister problems and demons battles. Can’t wait to read the next book.
Cinders character growth in this book is marvelous. This series has so many wonderful characters, and getting to know Cinder was everything I could have hoped for. I really enjoy the magical world in this series and cant wait for another book
This is the second book of the Primordial Gods series! I thought I loved the first book? Well hold tight because this book was even better!!
Who doesn’t love a friends to lovers trope? Cash & Cinder have their ups & downs (as does EVERYONE) but it’s full of just enough spice and action! I love how it all comes together so well and not all over the place.
Amazing from start to finish! love the fact that it isn't the same characters story from violet flames. I find it refreshing to have different story lines from the other characters.
