Elle Cooks is obsessed with the idea of falling in love with her Mr. Right. The problem is, everyone on campus knows it.
Maybe it was the time she bought anniversary balloons for a guy she wasn’t even dating. Or maybe it’s her tendency to ask about marriage on the first date. Whatever the reason, most steer clear of this stage-five clinger. But Elle knows that her happily-ever-after is right around the corner. And luckily, she’s about to be granted a helping hand from the most popular guy on campus.
Steve Towers is different from Elle in every way. He’s not only sworn off relationships for life, but the well-known ladies man has no trouble when it comes to the opposite sex. After witnessing Elle’s latest rejection, he offers to teach her the ins and outs of dating, and how to finally play “the game” and win.
But as the two turn Elle into an irresistible, eligible bachelorette, she may not be the only one with hearts in her eyes...

I read Lovesick in practically one sitting - it is that good! It’s such a page turner and I just had to know what happened next. The main characters are so likable and endearing, and such thoughtful touches are incorporated throughout the entire book, giving them great character development. I don’t want to say too much and give anything away, but if you are looking for a fun story to suck you right in, I encourage you to give this a read.

“And I won’t ever settle again.”
Elle is in love with the idea of being in love. So much so that she cannot read the signs with a man and tends to leap before she looks. She is often landing flat on her face. When the campus hunk decides he can help Elle calm down her love lust, the last thing either of them expects is finding love.
This was such a fantastic book. Not only did it heavily feature one of my favorite musicals ever, but it has such a sweet storyline with delicious character.
Elle was seriously beyond adorable. I love that she wore her heart on her pink, frilly sleeve. Elle is the eternal optimist, and when she commits to something, she commits fully whether it is a role in a show, her dad, or a boy.
Steve was the most perfect leading man. He was both funny, charming, smart, sweet, and imperfect. I liked him from the start, and he was the perfect guy to change Elle’s life.
Beyond sweet, endearingly charming, and filled with so many comical moments, this was such a delightful read. I enjoyed the characters, except Tom and the Devons, so much.
I loved Elle’s growth throughout this story, and how she blossomed into such a bold, brave, strong character. Watching her come into her own, and own center stage, was brilliant.
While the steamy scenes were well done, I loved the comedy, emotion, and development each character went through.
If you are looking for the perfect romance to make you swoon- here it is!
I actually won this book in a giveaway, it wasn’t on my radar before, but I really enjoyed it! I’m a sucker for a good friends to lovers story, and this one delivered in a totally unique way!
Elle is lovesick and completely clueless on how to behave around the opposite sex. Enter Steve, a lovable goofball who doesn’t do relationships but offers to be her friend and teach her how men work. While I found Elle initially irritating, her growth is admirable and the relationship between her and Steve is adorable!
I won this book on the Goodreads giveaways. I’m so glad that I did. It had me smiling, giggling, hearts in my eyes and tears as well!! It was a perfect read! I opened it on the 8th but didn’t start until the 9th and was already 78% done by the end of the day. I couldn’t put it down!!
I won an eBook copy of Lovesick via Goodreads Giveaway. I wasn't originally going to enter. I read the synopsis and typically I stay away from books where characters habitually put themselves in embarrassing situations. It is the same with TV shows or movies. I find it very difficult for me to watch or read (in this case). However, I am a sucker for a good book cover, so I entered and won. I am disappointed in myself that I waited so long to read this one. I absolutely loved it. It is my favorite read of 2025 so far. The writing was great. The storyline(s) progressed well. It was funny, light, but still very sexy. I binged over 50% of it until 130am and then finished the rest the next day. Highly recommend! Can't wait to read more from this author.
Wow !! New to me author and what a great first impression!
I found this book on the Weink app , and it surpassed my expectations. This book is a short one compared to others but still I finished within the day.
I loved this book! From start to finish it drew me right in, not one part bored me or had me uninterested. The story plot itself is not something new to the romance world but the story itself made me fall right in love!
I loved Elle’s character she is so giddy and cute and is uniquely herself ! I loved her relationship with her bestie Nikki and of course can’t forget Steve and Joel.
Reading along and seeing things progress into more just got me saying Eeeeeeee ! And the spicy parts …. Ouff! You can never go wrong with those chapters .
If you are looking for an easy , fluffy , cutesy romance book I say give this one a try. Bonus if you love grease!

I would give this book 3.5 stars. It was a very cute story & quick read with a little spice. Elle reminds me of myself when I was younger so I really related to her.
All Elle wants is to find “the one” & fall in love but she fails to see how guys treat her in that moment. She always is over the top with her infatuation & her most recent hook up totally embarrasses her in front of his frat brothers.
The next day the hot guy on campus, Steve, says that he will help Elle overcome her love sickness so she won’t be so overwhelming in future relationships.
It’s a very Hallmark story just in time for Valentine’s Day!
This book was cute! I did have a bit of trouble getting into the beginning because I thought it was going to be overly sappy, but it wasn't. I had so many great laughs during this read! Elle(main character) was just looking for her one true love and believed it would be like a fairy tale, so why couldn't she just find the one? She always poured her heart out and maybe a little too much at times. When Steve sees her run another guy off, he decides to help her. He's her best guy friend, but what if it turns into more? What if they are friends with benefits? But he doesn't date girls! And she wants to be in love.

This book was super cute. Really liked the storyline and all the characters. Enjoyed that the plot wasn't only focused on the romance, but that it dealt with other things going on in the characters life's. Found it cringe at times, but that's just because of the main character's personality and simply because she acted differently than I would have in some situations doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it.
A solid romance story, deserves more recognition.
Thank you to Goodreads for giving me a copy of this book.
A fun and quick read. I liked the book, the story, the chemistry, the obliviousness. But it sometimes confused me.. like ‘he’s going away for two weeks’ and then ‘weeks pass by’ which give me the feeling that it’s more than two weeks, and it happens often. It was a bit irritating for me to be honest. Elle is a lovesick girl and a bit much, but Steve is there to help and they become best friend, it’s lovely. Also the T-shirts, loved that! 3,5 stars ⭐️
Lovesick was an okay book. It felt like something I would’ve read on Wattpad years ago but I’ve also read Wattpad books that was better than this. These characters aren’t memorable but I think I’ll always remember how “lovesick” she was - character set up just wasn’t as believable but I think many people may be able to relate to her yearning for true love. This overall was predictable and a boring cliche.
3.5 stars- This book started off just a little rough- it felt kind of rushed, but got better as things went along. I wasn’t sure I’d identify with the main character when I found out she’s an actress, but it didn’t really end up making a difference. I wish there was a little more romantic interaction between the main characters, but it was still a very cute love story.
I won a copy of this book. I have never read anything by this author but was a little frustrated with the lack of development in characters and plot. Good fluff book
This was so cute and fun and I couldn't put it down once I started it. I really liked the story, it was fast paced and the characters were great and well thought out. Great job, Kayla!!
I won lovesick in a giveaway for an honest review. I pick this book up when I was in a reading slump. lovesick was a quick read for me I couldn't put it down once I started.
