I thoroughly enjoyed reading HIDDEN TARGET by Breakfield and Burkey. The main character, Brayson, reminded me so much of Jack Reacher; tough, good-spirited, not afraid of anyone, and always available to help somebody in distress. In this story, it's Maid Marian.

Marian stole files worth millions from her ex who was using the dark web to do business. When he trashes her place looking for the thumb drive, Brayson takes control and brings his team in to help.

I found the story flowed well with zero errors. It was also "short", leaving readers with thoughts that this might be a prequel to a longer tale that picks up where this one ended.

I've enjoyed all of your short stories to date and look forward to your next release.

With gun powder in the background, chemistry is apparent when Brayson and Marian meet at the gun range. They immediately connect and find that they complement each other in more ways than one. Short and sweet, HIDDEN TARGET is another entertaining tale by Breakfield and Burkey. It isn’t easy to develop characters in a short story, but Brayson and Marian are both memorable and believable The storyline moves along quickly and is just the right length to provide a lunchtime escape.
