Nice Cozy Mystery I’ve read all four of the “Julia Lives in a Van” cozy mysteries. When I saw how she lived in a camper and why, I was intrigued. What a fun premise for a book! Julia adopts a rescue dog, Toby, she takes with her on all her adventures. Julia accepts more and more people into her circle of friends as she travels to different places. Oh, and of course, there is always a mystery that takes place. Julia has the right idea on how to get away from it all. Almost makes me wish I could simplify my life and live the way Julia decided to live. Julia is a strong hero and all her friends just add to the fun. ienjoyagoodbook
The Case of the Notorious Nuthatch, Book Five in the Julia Lives in a Van Cozy Mystery Series
A reclusive Swedish billionaire, hiding from INTERPOL… The location of a wrecked Spanish galleon with over a billion dollars worth of treasure… An island resort for the über-wealthy in The Bahamas… A rare bird that hasn’t been seen since 2019… A body mysteriously found floating in the surf…
In The Case of the Notorious Nuthatch , book 5 in the Julia Lives in a Van Cozy Mystery Series , we find Julia and her friends, Dottie and Penelope, invited to an exclusive island retreat in The Bahamas. The retreat is named Abrams Cay, and it’s supposed to be one of the world’s top wildlife education centers.
What starts out as an idyllic, all-expenses-paid vacation turns into a murder mystery when Julia finds the hotel manager floating in the surf in an out-of-the-way part of the island.
The Bahamian authorities suspect that the island is being used as a stopping off point for drug runners headed to the United States. Unfortunately, they arrest the wrong suspect. Julia, Dottie, and Penelope do all they can to prove the suspect is innocent, but there’s more going on than meets the eye.
It becomes obvious to Julia that someone powerful is behind the scenes manipulating events. But why? Abrams Cay is supposed to be nothing more than a glorified nature center for the super-wealthy.
And, of course, there’s the Nuestra Señora de Santiago , a lost Spanish galleon that sank in the seventeen hundreds, laden with immense treasure.
Don’t start The Case of the Notorious Nuthatch if you have to get up early and go to work the next morning! In this new mystery, Julia finds herself in deep trouble. Will she get out of this alive? What about Toby, her beloved dog?
The Case of the Notorious Nuthatch is the fifth book in the Julia Lives in a Van Cozy Mystery Series . Like the other books in the series, this book is a fun, quirky cozy mystery. This is a safe mystery that anyone of any age can read and enjoy. Follow along with Julia, Toby, her dog, and her friends, Dottie and Penelope, as they match wits with a billionaire sociopath!
In this 5th book of the serie, Julia and her friends Penelope and Dottie are in Bahamas. Of course there is also Julia's dog Toby with them. And they solve here another mystery. The book is nice and well written. I enjoyed reading it and continue to read next book now.
Started with the first one, and am reading them one after the other. A little older than the main character, I still identify with her. I can totally get her adopting a stray dog. I am having fun reading about her, her friends and their crazy antics! Keep up the great work!
