Our world went up in flames. Hurt. Betrayal. Devastation. In the aftermath of ashes, we're both hungry for revenge. I hate him, he loves to hate me. Alexander Duke is a ruthless monster. Our love is brutal. But my heart is his.
Raven is a dark romance author who writes about unhinged, possessive love interests and the BIPOC leads they are obsessed with. She favors the dark, demented and the deviant. Say her name three times on a full moon, and she might materialize in your room holding a copy of a half-written manuscript.
Oh good god was the FMC so ungodly annoying this entire book!! It was so frustrating reading her inner dialogue about how betrayed she felt and how awful the MMC was when he literally didn’t do any of what she thought he did. AND every single time he tried to talk to her about it, she refused to listen. She is a very very emotional character, so it makes sense for her character , but damn. I’m not saying the MMC was perfect or she didn’t have things to be pissed at him for, but goddamn it was ridiculous. And it was literally the entire book! Hell, even after she found out she was wrong and he didn’t betray her at all, she still was pissed at him! Why? She drove this huge wedge between them for no reason. It was even worse when we got to the MMCs perspective and he’s having all these realizations about how much he loves her and would do anything for her happiness and safety, and she was just so awful to him for no reason.
I loved how the relationships the two mains had with the supporting characters were developed in this book so well. There wasn’t a ton of detail about them and their history, but it sounds like some will be getting their own books, so I’ll hold judgement for now.
I was expecting a little bit more push back from the students after all the drama with the peace treaty in the beginning. Maybe some bullying or something. They were kinda ousted for a bit, but it wasn’t anything crazy. It could’ve added some more stress to the middle of the book where IMO it felt a little too centered on just their relationship and not much else going on.
I hope the main characters finally learn that they need to communicate better. The miscommunication and keeping things from each other are only going to drive them apart. They are stronger and happier together and if they accepted all of that together, they could face their external issues together instead of on such a shakeup foundation.
Well this story sure picked up right after book 1 and took me for a riveting ride. Alexander & Alize's chemistry is still palpable in this sizzling story despite all the hate and revenge schemes that they never seem to do without. Although I have to admit that I grew tiresome with Alize's character development until the end, & I wish Alexander didn't turn so much into mush at her feet. That ending though!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The first book was phenomenal. It left me eagerly anticipating the sequel. I was inexhaustible with excitement. I couldn't wait to read the sequel, until a few pages in, I was totally turned off.
Unfortunately, the sequel didn't live up to my expectations. My initial interest in it quickly waned, and I never managed to get into it.
The characters weren't as interesting, the plot had too many holes and Alize's behavior and naivety towards Alexander was unsatisfying. I feel like the author sacrificed quality for quantity and it shows.
The amount of things Alize was doing was just unnecessarily excessive. The more I read her inner thoughts, the more I roll my eyes. It didn't match the type of story I was looking for. I had to force myself to keep going. However, eventually her stupidity wore me out, and I ended up disliking her throughout the book.
Alize tried to become more assertive, but that wasn't without consequences. Her character deteriorated and she was ultimately unsatisfactory. The hostility she showed towards Alexander was so cringe-worthy. There was so much strain in their relationship, and it was obvious that the author wanted to add more drama to the story. The story is dragged down by miscommunication and Alize's unwillingness to listen to reason.
The result of these issues was evident in the strained relationship between Alize and Alexander, creating an intense and often uncomfortable atmosphere that the author magnified to increase the story's drama. It didn't add anything to the story and detracted from it.
Overall, the second book was a letdown.
In no time at all, Alexander had reduced himself to a whiny, snivelling mess that was unrecognizable. While he had been a strong protagonist in the first book, he had been deprived of all his character development in the second book. It was as if he had been written out of the story and replaced with a completely different character. It was a huge disappointment.
It was a stark contrast to what he had been before. As a fan of this series, I had been expecting something more from him, but this was a huge letdown. And add in the not so shocking twist that I had seen coming.
I really didn't like either of the characters and the side characters added nothing of substance. The story was convoluted and the plot was too predictable. A lot of the pieces seemed to be thrown together too frantically by the writer.
The story on a whole was unsatisfactory and left me unfulfilled.
"RAGE-ING" about the CLIFFY! BITING NAILS for book #3
Yes...I know, I know, people. That's not how you spell the word raging 🙄. But, if you paid attention, it's a play on the author's name 😉. Ms. Raven Rage knocked me on my a*s with this cliffhanger. I have the worst case of anxiety when it comes to waiting for the next book in a series to be released. In order to quell it and prepare myself for the wait (shhh...don't tell, but) I usually cheat and search certain terms while reading the book. (Shout out to my Kindle app for that nifty feature!) It helps me come to terms with the next wait period. But, I must admit....I'm still totally on edge. I really hope the wait isn't too long, because I fear for my manicure....which btw, costs a fortune nowadays 💰!
Blood Money is book #2 in the trilogy and picks up with Alize's secret being media-blasted and now her mere existence is in jeopardy. With the student body on the hunt for blood and Alexander's betrayal, she does the only thing she can. She locks herself away. But, suprisingly, she finds an ally in someone that lends her the courage to step up and find her voice. (I'll be honest. I felt a little stabby 🗡 in book #1 and sometimes in this book, wondering where her lady balls 🤹♀️ were.) When her strength to persevere wanes, her rage over Alexander's betrayal is what fuels her need to survive.
This cliffy is a doozy, my peeps. Now both, Alize and Alexander, are keeping secrets from one another... secrets that could jeopardize their future together. But, more importantly, these secrets could cost them their lives.
I received an ARC copy via Booksprout in exchange for my honest review.
This is book 2 in a trilogy + prequel series. This book gives more insight into Alexander and Alize’s past and their connection. While there are still lots of unanswered questions and plenty of secrets for the last book, I was glad they got things back on track. Cassidy final got what was coming to her and no one is crying over what happened Liam. I am more looking forward to Nya and Vance’s story!
As a side note one of my favorite scene’s is when Alize notices the biracial girl passing for white. It was the only time you got a true scene of her race. Cassidy calling her a racial slur isn’t what let’s us know she’s black. It’s just in the essence of who she is and how she carries herself and that is definitely something another black woman would have noticed.

SYNOPSIS (3 Book Series): FC is the daughter of a powerful crime figure who treats her like a possession. Someone is trying to kill her so she is “hidden” at Frederic University. She meets the MC who immediately becomes infatuated with her. There are a couple of sub-plots, one involving the MC discovering who murdered his mother; another with certain individuals trying to stop the MC from becoming a member of the secret society; and another where the jealous ex of the MC tries everything to get rid of the FC. There are the obligatory best friends for both the MC and the FC, various “dramatic” situations in which the FC finds herself and a HEA.
I will say straight off that whilst I read all 3 books I was majorly skim reading by book 3. Whilst the storyline had the chance to be great the author just failed to deliver. I found the FC completely unlikeable because she was just so weak and pathetic. The author tries to redeem her and make her stronger in the later books but she was truly pathetic. To the extent of allowing herself to potentially be raped without saying a word or fighting back. I cannot get on board with this kind of FC. The author also annoyed me with the constant emphasis on the “white, blond girls” being the nasty, prejudiced ones and those that weren’t being the nice/better girls. Really? Way to reinforce prejudices.
The MC was your typical alpha possessive male but seemed more smoke and mirrors rather than substance. The author kept referring to how bad the MC was but there was no evidence of that aside from him carrying a gun. The story limped through 3 books with not much happening and some truly cringeworthy sex scenes. Apparently the FC likes a lot of pain and breath play amongst other things and the MC is a dom who likes to order her around. This is fine and can be sexy and hot but not the way it is written here where, for me, the scenes just came across as a bad attempt at showing the FC as someone other than just vanilla.
The author spent time emphasising the fact that the FC self harmed (cutting) but it all seemed very by the numbers. Again, it frustrates me when authors write about this type of serious issue to give their heroines depth or darkness or to show how “broken” they are but fail to deal with these issues with the research and seriousness they deserve. This should not just be used as a plot device. If it is going to be then do it justice and explain how the FC is feeling, why she is driven to do what she does and cannot stop. The description in these books is very superficial - she cuts to feel pain and control, end of.
The general writing style I found to be quite basic and juvenile with little real depth of characters or story. Ultimately not for me.
There's a big different on being strong and irritating. Unfortunetly Alize come in the latter. When I said I need her to have backbone in book one, being judgie, always angry and bitter, trusting the enemy words without even trying finding out the truth, then doing the stupid with hungry strike just because she finally figure out her welfare is actually matter for Alexander... I'm sorry to say but Alize is a dissapointment at this stage. I'm gonna point out once more here. She finally realised her welfare is important for Alexander, and in her POV, she call it a chink in his Armour. I repeat, she knows he care enough about her, he call as his and she call it weakness. I'll let you decide about Alize at this stage.
One positif side from Alize? She stand up for all of those blond bullies. And her knife play? Well done!
While Alexander, at first few chapters, i see how he let him self go out of heart break for what happened between them. Its picking up when he decide he had enough of Alize hatred and giving her all the smegsi. Knife play, rough and blody, basicly hate f*ks √√√
And the way he handle crazy blond and wannabe rap*st? He use his head this time. Good thing for his besties. Can't say much for Alize's bestie though. Not once do they put reasonable doubt in her thick head that maybe she's wrong.
Unfortunetly, i can see the plot line. Who killed Alex's mom Who is Alize's dad Who and how Alize's secret out
And to make it all the way to 80%ish just to show Alize the truth? Draaagggging!.

Book two picks up where book one ends
Alexander comes to the realisation that he loves Alize, his mind is trying to reconcile these feelings that are swarming inside his mind, but nothing is more insidious than the spitfire that is Alize, when her identity is revealed, she thinks he is responsible, not giving him a change to defend himself, but that is not the only thing she has to contend with, and order has been put out, Alize has broken the treaty, and there are those out to get her, including her room mate Tara, but she comes to the realisation that Tara will defend and protect her at all costs, but what comes more that saving her life, is the sacrifice Alexander makes to keep her safe, by proposing an agreement, there engagement.
But Alize’s predicament lands her in hot water with Hemlock House, and when she is forced out, she has no choice but to turn to Alexander, much to his delight, she then takes up residence at The Kingmaker House, where he can keep an eye on her, but also safe.
Alize is holding onto so much anger, due to Alexander’s betrayal, she feels hurt, her trust limited, but no matter how hard she pushes, Alexander will push back, but twice as hard. He yearns for her, like he has never before, her anger fuels him, setting him alight from the inside, and he is more determined than ever to prove it to her.
Alize and Alexander are more alike than they think. When they have respective conversations with their fathers, they develop a backbone, determined to have their voices heard, to be strong, to be heard, and not pushed aside.
The person Alize has become, before who she was, is a testament to the trauma she has endured, in order to be a better person, she needed to change, for herself. But with Alexander, she is so much more. She holds onto her resolve, but she cannot deny the way he makes her feel, everything about him, sets her pulse racing, giving her a heightened rush of adrenaline that she cannot escape from, for she belongs to Alexander, and he will claim her, every which way he can. Because her darkness speaks to him on a fundamental level and Alexander wouldn’t have it any other way.
Alexander’s limits are tested, with the vote looming for him to become part of The King Makers Society. He does what he can to garner the votes needed, and when he is required to go away, questions are being raised about Alize’s parentage, more specifically her father, and who he was, because he was once part of The King Makers Society, and he owes a debt, and they are determined to collect, for Alexander is given a task, one he must complete in order to secure his vote and he will do anything to secure it at all costs.
Everything that has happened thus far, the culmination of there shifted focus and being blindsided, does Alexander come to the realisation that there is only person who could be responsible, and when Alexander calls in favours, upon makes a startling discovery, the discovery cutting deep, does he take action.
Cassidy’s deceit and deception comes back onto her ten fold. Alexander is determined for Alize to hear the truth, and she does. Alize realises her anger has been misplaced, and that it wasn’t Alexander’s fault. Cassidy can’t help herself, sharing truths neither of them realised, fuelling their hatred and anger for her more, but more-so than when Alize apologises to Alexander for how she treated him.
Alexander fulfils his task, and in doing so he becomes the Head Kingmaker by a very large landslide. And he chooses to celebrate in style, by putting a ring on Alize’s finger, and each having declared there love for the other, Alexander has everything he could ever want, the only thing they still have to content with is his father, and wether Alize follows through with her plan or not.
But nothing will prepare for those two shocking twists when Alize discovers that she is pregnant with Alexander’s baby, and when Alexander learns from his brother Graham, the one responsible for what happened to there mother, when he learns who, book three will tells us how it will all unfold for both Alexander and Alize.
This book has it all dark romance, possessive dominant alpha anti-hero, a fiery spitfire heroine who gives as good as she gets, madness, mayhem, revenge, vengeance, violence, deception, adrenaline seeking suspense, jealousy, twists, turns, truths and betrayal.
This story is told from multiple POV, it will take you on a wild ride, having you turn page after page, this book had me from the beginning to the end. Reading this story, it enables the readers to really connect with the characters, and as the story unfold’s the readers see the development and growth from the characters singularly and together. The author definitely knows how to write and I’ll be coming back for more.
And those s*x scenes, including those BDSM elements were steamy, yet sensual, dirty, hot, intense, physical, provocative, it had all the angry angst, hate, jealousy, pleasure and passion one would except when Alexander gives Alize the pain and pleasure she deserve, his possessive and obsessive need for control and dominance, it was off the charts and had all of the feels.
What happened? I do not recognize these characters from Book One.
We pick up where we left off, Alize's secret has been revealed and she's being hunted by her fellow classmates and she falsely believes it's all Alex's fault. When given a knife to defend herself, she suddenly turns into a badass though it doesn't stop Cassidy from once again kidnapping her.
Alize becomes extremely unlikeable and at times I loathe her for her convenient memory loss and treatment of Alex. She somehow forgets that Alex saved her life—and being as fragile as she is, she would not have been able to survive what was in store for her.
According to Alize, Alex's motive for revealing the secret was because she broke up with him, it made me ask myself—What does she think makes her so special? Rightly so, Alex echoes my exact question in the next chapter. Alize is utterly convinced without any evidence except words spoken in anger, it was all Alex and his supposed treachery by Alex gave her major bravado and lady balls, except when it came to Cassidy which was all a lie.
Here's an example of her bravado: That's the secret to a better relationship—keeping him just a little bit afraid of me. —Alize
When Alex comes up with a solution to her major dilemma, she feels coerced, rather than happy she'd gotten a reprieve that no one else had ever received. If she hated the solution so much why didn't she speak up—I'll wait.
Now for Alex, he turns into this lovesick puppy pining after Alize and taking her verbal and physical abuse. Alex is reluctant to share his feelings because people who have loved him, have left him. I just wasn't convinced that there was this undying love between them, they were on the road, but they hadn't got there yet so this Romeo and Juliet trope didn't work for me.
It took too long for the author to resolve the crux at the heart of this book: truth and forgiveness. Lastly, I'm going to state once again for the record—no Billionaire is going to buy the most expensive ring money can buy and purchase a white gold ring—just hell naw!
I'm either a glutton or a trooper, but I gotta see this one to its conclusion.
“We’ll be sharing this apartment for the rest of the semester, so I will have a chance to learn what makes him tick. When I do, I’ll use it to tear him apart from the inside out. I will not break. I may have lost the battle, but I will win the war.”
Ironically this excerpt from Blood Money explains exactly how I felt whilst I was reading. I almost called in a sick day so I could finish reading but chose to do the adult thing instead. I knew where this was headed but couldn’t wait to get there…it’s almost a love of pain when you get to another cliffhanger.
“I had to finish reading those chapters or I wouldn’t have peace, I’m in the third act. You know how the story gets when you hit there.” “Yes, everything comes together just to fucking fall apart again.” She nods fiercely. “Like I know it’s going to happen but it fucking gets me every time!”
It’s an age old saying but in this game of power "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer" is of paramount importance. Beware of what you think you heard or saw as smoke and mirrors are everywhere in this twisted story. Although I think we all expected that cliffhanging ending I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of Toxic Glory.
Picking up where we left off and the cat is out of the bag. Alize Moreau’s lie’s been revealed and with the treaty broken the students want blood. Alexander has returned to old habits since Alize and him fought. Whilst he’s having a pity party for one his enemies are circling in on him and his hopes for entry into the Kingmakers Society are on the line. He’s come to realise that he loves Alize since suffering her absence and wishes he never let her leave that room. When he hears about the treaty and her life being in danger Alexander comes to her rescue, telling the chancellor she’s his fiancé. Alize thinks he’s another male wanting to control her and she blames him for telling the chancellor her secret. He may provide a safe haven and she might have to live in the same apartment but she’s changed and won’t pander to his needs anymore. Alexander sets out to prove his innocence not realising just how close the threat is to him.
Oh I swear these fictional characters will be the death of me. Alexander is like the perfect mix between Zane and Nox. He physically treats her like Zane but denies the love he feels because of his past history with the ones he loves. And then at the end of book 2 is such a huge cliff hanger! Two of them! Really honestly you could have seen both of them coming but we already know this series is gonna have to end with a hea so really at this point it’s just who is gonna die because up to this point no one has yet which is kinda disappointing. They had two great characters who could have taken up that mantel which I get why they couldn’t kill them but oh lord when Ezra beat the craaaaapppp out of the guy and his little stabby stabby tendencies. 🥵🫠 I was all here for him and I want his story next. Because I just know that it is gonna be epic and crazy and deadly and beautiful all in one. Honestly the fmc kinda drives me bananas. I get she has her mental health issues but it just really irks me that she threatened Alex with suicide or having her death on his hands. I think that’s just cause irl that’s just one of my…… I don’t wanna say pet peeves cause that’s not it but I guess you can say it relates to my own trauma and avoidance is how I deal with it when coming from other people so I tend to really not like it when it’s coming from a fmc because I want them to b strong and determined not throwing around blame and trying to make their person feel bad. Either way I’m excited for book 3 because of Alex and Ezra. Let’s see what happens
This book was much better than the 1st and that doesn’t happen very often! Our h, albeit belatedly, finally started acting like an adult and not a whiny child a little more than halfway through this book. Now knowing this is only the 2nd book author has put out?! I have to bow down. She is going to be AMAZING the more she grows and I’m happy to be in the journey. Alize really came into her own, she stopped taking crap and started to stand up for herself. She really grew into herself as a person as a woman as a girlfriend, as a friend. There was a ton of growth for her this book!! She got to get some revenge and learned a bit more about her family. We didn’t get a lot of questions answered but it did set it up for the final book which comes out tomorrow!! Have no idea how I timed finding this author so perfectly! I only have to wait 3.5hrs for the next and final book! Then there is Alexander. Is it crappy to say I liked HIM better in book one?? He was way more Alpha and took what he wanted. The steam in here was 💦🔥🥵 too and Alex continued to bring THAT to the table this book so don’t fret about that at least and yes an Alex in love was just as sexy and him doing EVERYTHING to make sure his girl was safe was hot AF too but he needed to take charge a bit more. Take what I want and ask for forgiveness maybe never way he did in book 1. Lol Together these guys built a relationship I wanted to root for in the end and I seriously cannot WAIT to see how this all comes together.
The first book must be read before starting this one as it begins right where the first one leaves off. There were things I liked and disliked about this story. It was an okay read for me, but it didn't leave me wanting to read the next or last book in the series. The flow of this story was slow for me and there were times where I found myself losing interest in the story. There were also parts that became predictable. Allie still cries a lot but she's starting to fight back. I can appreciate that even if half of the times she loses the fight, at least she tried. I liked the side characters Tara and Nya, and Vance and Ezra. They made me laugh and brought some lightness into this story. Alexander is still protective over Allie. However, he's determined to win the upcoming election. Winning comes with strings attached and betraying someone he claims he loves. The cliffhanger ending of this book wasn't surprising to me at all. To be honest, I expected it to be the person that was revealed at the end. This isn't a bad story, but after reading the first and second book, I know that I will stop with this one. The ending didn't leave me with a feeling of needing or wanting to read the next book, so there's no reason for me to continue with the series. I tried it, but I realized that it's no longer the series for me.
This saying truly describes Alize and Alexander. This book had me on the edge of my seat with angst because of how the two protect themselves and because of this, end up warring with one another. I loved seeing the impact of the break up between Alize and Alexander on Alexander as this made him human for me. I loved watching Alize grow into herself, standing up for herself against the blonde idiots in her dorm, and I loved how she embraced herself by dying her hair back to a colour closer to her natural hair colour. This series is so much deeper than just a dark romance. I love how this author interweaves multicultural characters into the story without it being obvious. I also loves how she demonstrates the realities of racism and internalized oppression without overtly pointing it out. It just occurs, just how it does in life. The way it’s written forces people to think twice and realize that this situations are wrong and hopefully it will help people recognize it’s wrong in real life as well.
I digress, however. I loved this book! I’m a little mad at having to wait for the next book but that’s only because these books are such a great read!! When Rave Rage promises you dark, you get dark; when she promises you smezy scenes, you get off the charts high velocity heat!!!
.... Spoilers.... No specifics or details but can be considered spoilers by others. Definitely read all the trigger warnings. This book has very dark themes!!!
I really want to give this book 5 stars, but I can't. The FMC (Alize) was annoying. Her hatred and closed-mindedness were irritating, especially since it took almost 95% of the book to break. Even in the end when she found out she was wrong, she still didn't give up the hatred. Yeah, I can understand she's traumatized and this helped mold her into her "new" persona but it lagged on too long. The MMC's (Alex) growth was adorable but out of character, I found him too mushy (well not during the smutty parts) compared to book #1 but I was ok with it. I wanted (and expected) a bit more action, but it was more on the mellow side. It kept me locked in and picking it back up whenever I got a chance. I loved how this story included more of the other characters because I really want to read their story now! The two surprises at the end were predictable but I still enjoyed them. I can't wait to finish their story and get the HEA they deserve.
I love Alexander and Alize, but this book had me wanting to strangle both of them! They are both so headstrong and neither one wants to bend. Alexander's unwillingness to be a little softer for her, and her unwillingness to listen sometimes irked me. That is one thing that frustrates me with characters I love and want to be together; their lack of communication and willingness to listen. Now, this doesn't make me hate them together, it usually makes me root for them more! I root for that "ah-hah" moment when they realize how royally fucked up for each other they are. For how royally they fucked up! Alize's moment is great!! Now as for getting some answers, we do and we don't. I really have a even more questions than when I started. And OMG that cliffhanger!!! I won't spoil it, but damn!! I'll be honest, I had an inkling about Alize, but the bomb that was dropped on Alexander is not one I saw coming! I so can't wait for book 3!! It's definitely going to be a wild ride!!
This is seriously the best series I've read in a long time. Just so well-written and well-developed and such a page-turner. The wait for the final book is going to be torture, especially after that double cliffhanger ending. My only criticism for the author - if you can call it that - is the fact that she keeps reassuring us that the hero Alexander and the heroine Alize will have a happily ever after ending to their story at the end of the series...I mean don't get me wrong, I do want an HEA for them more than anything but Raven girl...keep your readers guessing! Like as a reader when there are so many issues and secrets and obstacles standing between the two main characters, I'd like to at least pretend to believe that there might be a possibility their love story might not end well after all especially if you consider that these characters live in a dangerous, deadly criminal environment. That being said I highly recommend this series.
I received this book as an ARC. When I read the first book of this series I absolutely loved it! As well as the other book, Ruthless Temptation (Tara & Professor Holmes). This book did not disappoint. I could not put it down. The chemistry between Alize & Alexander is 🔥🔥🔥, although she did get on my nerves a bit at the beginning because she wouldn’t listen to anyone or give Alex a chance to explain. She just stayed in her own thoughts & crazy assumptions. But I understand that it kinda set the stage for the story. Alize did come around & redeemed herself when she gave Cassidy what she deserved. I was also glad when Ezra took care of Liam. I’d really like to know more about his & Vance’s back story. This book does end in a cliffhanger but I’d recommend anyone reading the series to hold on. Alexander’s & Alize’s story is just getting started & It looks like it’s going to be very spicy 🌶🌶🌶. I can’t wait for the next book!!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
The first book in this series was hard for me to get through but it had enough intrigue in it (not to mention it ended on a cliffhanger) that I decided to take a chance and go for the second book in this series. I was way more impressed with this chapter of Alexander and Alize’s journey. I feel that this author is really hitting her stride and could continue to build on this world she’s created. I’m definitely going to buy her third book and can’t wait to see how this story ends. I’m hopeful we’ll also get to explore the other characters’ lives and relationships.
What stopped me from giving this book 4 stars? My biggest pet peeve when reading is coming across spelling and grammatical errors and I will admit there were too many in this book. When I come across a glaring error it takes me out of the plot. Proofread!
I was so excited to read the second book in this series because we were left on such an emotional cliffhanger in book 1.
Ruthless Money was a twisted, intricately written story with Alexander and Alize fighting to see if they could find love once again. It was an emotional roller coaster ride that had me on the edge of my seat with their super hot chemistry. They’re both evolving and there’s definitely growing pains as they adjust.
I love how all the side characters got page time and I honestly can’t wait to get all their stories. Especially Nya and Vance but Ezra’s darkness definitely intrigued me in this book. What is his deal??
Once again, we’re left with a cliffhanger and more plot lines to untangle. I cannot wait for more Alexander and Alize! Bring on the next book!
The first part of the book really was a letdown for me, I was like... oh no! I really loved the first one, so I was a little concerned. Then, I was encaptured in the love-hate relationship Alex and Alize had.
But the part that sold me right away was the ending. I don't want to spoil anything but I am SO excited for the third installment.
Blood Money is a must-read if you love smut, story, and mafia. If you love twists, turns, and darkness. If you love mean girls, bad boys, and dual POV... this book is for you.
Don't say I didn't warn you. This book is not for you if you can't handle any of the above. Also... when is the next one Raven?
This is Book 2 in the Ruthless Society Series and my first read by this author, and I must say that I quite enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It is the next installment to the dark, enemies to lovers romance between Alexander and Alize. Their thrilling journey continues with more drama, suspense, betrayal, secrets, steam, conflict, and enough action, twists and turns to make it an intriguing read. Frustrating and bittersweet emotions abound. The secondary characters are engaging. A page turner with no happy ending yet. Reading Book 1, Ruthless Chaos, first is recommended.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was very enjoyable! I was frustrated throughout (practically the entire book) with Alize! I understand that she was trying to protect her heart but she was being unfair to Alexander! He showed his love for her time and time again but she refused to see it and blamed him for her predicament after the revelation of her identity. Anyway, I do not feel sorry for the two troublemakers and their endings! They truly deserved it! LOL! I also hope that there will be books for Alexander's buddies (Vance and Ezra) and I cannot wait for the third book and for the HEA for our couple! A good read!
I gave this two stars mostly because Alize WOULD NOT listen to Alex the whole time!!!! Majority of this book was about how much she loathed him, even stabbed him because she didn’t listen to him and hear him out. She thought he betrayed her but he didn’t…. Honestly why would he? He constantly tells her he loves her. ALSO ALEX didn’t speak up either!! He didn’t tell her enough that he didn’t do it.
Of course he eventually gathered evidence and proved it to her. And she forgave him and now they both love eachother… predictable.
A few other things happen that were super predictable as well… her being sick… Alex’s mothers killer… definitely called it!
I have been waiting for this book to see what happens between Alexander and Alize, After Alize thinks Alexander told everyone who she was she hates him so much
When Alexander finds out someone has told Alize a secret he will do anything to save her, when he realises Alize thinks it's him Alexander will do anything to show her it was not him.
This book has so many twists and turns you can't put it down and omg the end of the book what a twist and wait for the last book.
Whew!! I'm so invested in all of the characters. That rarely happens for me so the author did a really good job of bringing them all to the front at one point or another. I see a lot of wild reading rides in my near future. Alize has grown strong and Alex has grown softer for her only. I couldn't wait until she smartened up and caved and that's all I'm going to say. I can't wait to read the next book! If you are a dark romance reader and don't mind cliff hangers...what are you waiting for?? This series is a must!.

Wow! This next book in this trio didn't disappoint! It grabbed me from the first paragraph and kept me glued to the pages till the very last word! The characters were further developed in this book which I loved. The relationship of Alize and Alexander gets more complicated and murky and the book goes along. Alexander is the ultimate bad boy character to fall in love with! And Alize is perfect for him so independent and full of spirit. The author has outdone herself on this series!!.
