Where The River Takes You

Rate this book
Perfectionist event planner Blakely Mayfield screws up when a food poisoning debacle puts her career on the line. Battling bad press and her business partner’s “suggestion” to take a sabbatical, Blakely doesn’t think twice when her best friend offers up her mountain retreat in idyllic Greyson Gap, NC.
Armed with the task of stepping out of her comfort zone by her therapist, Blakely quickly realizes that fresh mountain air, roommate chore charts, and Tucker Greyson, the annoyingly handsome housemate she didn’t bargain for, might not fix her broken ego.
Finding herself stuck in between a surreal episode of The Bachelor run by the Greyson Gap Golden Girls brigade, and her hunky housemate wanting to be friends with benefits, Blakely discovers she kind of likes the simpler life—going camping, catching fish, wearing hiking boots, and, perhaps, falling in love.
Ex- baseball star, Tucker Greyson, prefers to be alone in the small mountain town where he grew up. The last thing he needs is a high-strung, clean-obsessed roommate for the summer. He hatches a plan to drive her perfectionist sensibilities into overdrive and out of his house. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for her.
He tells himself to keep it simple and not let his heart get involved, but when Blakely gets called back to her old life, Tucker realizes he has more to lose than just a summer roommate.

I really like Greyson's Gap. I think I want to hang out here.

Sophie Sinclair writes a setting and cast of characters that I just want to spend time with. She is witty and funny and her books read so fast it's like a brain vacation. I really enjoyed the quirky characters that reside in Greyson's Gap. They are the best combination of heart and laughter and I am here for whatever comes next (EDDIE??)

After a major mishap at work, event planner Blakely takes a sabbatical to Greyson's Gap. Little does she know that her friend's cabin already has a resident. Tucker and Blakely do not hit it off and their antics and tension are fun and tender and swoony. And can we get more book dogs, please?

When first I reading the book, somehow I feel relieve, calming and relax. An enemies-lover trope that doesn't feel like it is.

It's a slow burn romance and I enjoyed both MC Blakely & Tucker. their interaction are very adorable and doesn't really over the top. other characters also very well done written and I love the little spice as well..

All I can say this book is really sweet, charming and hilarious. despite there is a bit minor issue with pacing that for me a kinda too long at first but I really love how the author could bring us to picture the small town and be part of them.

If you looking for a lighthearted romance with necessary drama and could pull you in like you are in a small town with nature around, this is a right book for you.

Boring :/ spoiler alert - they get married after like 3 months of knowing each other. The ending was rushed too - as in I rushed reading it because I just wanted it to be over.

Edit - ok I was shattered reading the last 15% and am in desperate need of a nap which may be the reasoning why I rushed the ending. But I can’t be arsed to reread it. Game’s the game.

A new to me author and a wonderful escape read to Greyson Gap, NC. The cover did draw me in, but the words and story kept me reading. I adore the small-town, slow burn story.

Blakely and Tucker kept me entertained with their antics and banter. After getting off on the wrong foot, will things turn around? Can they be roommates? The secondary characters make this story, adding to the enjoyment.

I absolutely loved this low-drama, laugh out loud, romantic comedy! 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨 has all of the best parts of enemies-to-lovers romance: heaps of chemistry, hilarious hate-banter, and so many sparks!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨 is sweet, snort-laughs, and steamy! I absolutely loved Blakely and Tucker. They are the perfect odd couple of uptight city girl and laid-back country boy. And the way these two gripe at each other is everything!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I am recently a bit of obsessed with There Was Only One HOUSE trope. 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨 is the perfect fit, complete with passive-aggressive post-it notes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And, listen up, the steam, bitches. THE STEAM. These two have all the hate— which leads to all the chemistry— which leads to all the hot sex. 🔥 Melt yo kindle hotness.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Seriously, you'll definitely want to put this book on your TBR! It's a light and funny read with a perfect HEA.

Where the River Takes You was EVERYTHING…and I mean, look at that gorgeous cover! I am a huge Sophie Sinclair fan and I have read all of her books. Coffee Girl is still my favorite, but I can safely say this one ranks high up there!

Each of Sophie Sinclair’s series are a little different. They have some of the same foundations, but they are also unique. Where the River Takes You is the first book in the Greyson Gap series and it is the quintessential small-town romance. The town of Greyson Gap is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. As many of you know, I was raised in Asheville, NC so any book set in that area always takes me home.

With a steamy and swoony forced proximity and enemies-to-lovers romance, so many laugh-out-loud hijinks, and the large, somewhat crazy found family in Greyson Gap, Where the River Takes You is sure to delight! I can guarantee by the end it will leave you happier than you were when you started. I am already itching for my next visit back to Greyson Gap.

Thank you so much @sophiesinclairauthor for the gifted copy to review!

Synopsis: A Type A event planner has an epic blunder at work which forces her to retreat to a mountain town in North Carolina…where she meets an ex baseball player who she loves to hate- or is it hates to love?
Pros and cons: What a cutie story, great setting, and fun supporting characters! The female lead was a bit much at times and whoa it was spicy in parts 😅 but overall a really enjoyable romance! Can’t wait to read book 2 in this series (hopefully 🤞🏻) later this year!

Sophie Sinclair does it again. I adored this story. Blakely and Tucker had me laughing out loud laying in bed with their antics. I thoroughly enjoyed their back and forth with each other. The town of Greyson Gap had me swooning. I enjoyed all the characters, well except for Bodhi of course.

Get swept away in the currents of this small town country romance flowing through emotions, found family, community, healing, & personal discovery.

Blakely, a perfectionist with a career setback takes sabbatical to Greyson Gap, NC with her best friend’s offer for a mountain escape. She is restless, chore charts and cleaning is her happy place. Insert Tucker, the handsome, annoying roommate, she was not expecting. He’s the complete opposite, go with the flow, and likes adventure.

Quickly from strangers to enemies to “ohhh hi roommie?” to “it’s just a good time, summer fling” …what happens when you find things you weren’t looking for that vary from what’s expected of you?

I loved seeing the main characters evolve out of their comfort zones, their banter and chemistry was sooo good, the whole town of vivid diverse supporting characters had me laughing hard, beautiful scenic storytelling, and heartfelt tale behind the river.

Excited to “meet” and fall in love with another new author’s writing! Can’t wait to read book 2!!

"The Eluewei flows in all of us, son. It's in the quiet where the answers lie. You just have to move the boulder and your heart with beat again."

Sophie does it again! I love this small town, opposites attract love story. There's family with no boundaries, a community that claims you as their own, and enough breathing room for you to find yourself. Paired with Sophie's signature humor, "Where The River Takes You" gave me everything I want in my rom-com novels.

Blakely Mayfield is out of her element in Greyson Gap. But after a disastrous work event, she's forced out of the city with the goal to regroup and let the dust settle. What she doesn't plan for is finding a place where she feels the most herself in years. The only catch is her sexy roommate with a plan of his own.

Tucker Greyson, yes of those Greysons, is the complete opposite of Blakely in every way yet he is drawn to her in ways he can't understand. One moment he wants to bring chaos to her order and in the next second, he wants friends with benefits, to show her how good life could be in the Gap.

"Where The River Takes You" gives you small town drama - is there anything better? - a motley crew of characters that will have you in stitches as you read, and the perfect ending that leaves you fully believing that love can work it's magic in the most unlikely of places.

Honorable mention to Tucker's grandpa, GT. I love a sweet old man and he was just the perfect father figure in this novel.

Sophie is one of my favorite authors and one of my favorite people, so when she said she was writing a small town romance, you know I was so excited!!! She writes some of the most hilarious dialogue and wild side characters that you have ever read (think the movie Bridesmaids) You will be LOLing throughout the book!

What it’s got::
•Small NC mountain town setting
•Opposites attract
•Forced proximity
•Type A, Blakely, needs to learn to chill
•Sweet, patient, former MLB player, Tucker is the dream hero
•Great dog
•Hilarious side characters and the perfect set up for a wonderful series!!

Overall, a sweet and light romance that will have you laughing and swooning throughout! I can’t wait to return to Grayson Gap!

This book has been on my TBR for such a long time, and now I’m kicking myself for not reading it sooner!
Blakely and Tucker were perfect for each other, and I loved them both.

A miscommunication means they find themselves unexpectedly living together for the summer. Sparks fly from their very first meeting and the chemistry between them was strong throughout the book. I loved how they peeled back each other’s layers and you could see them falling harder and harder for each other. Despite agreeing to a casual fling, it was clear all along they both had feelings for each other.

Greyson’s Gap is such a quirky small town full of eccentric locals (I liked some of them more than others!) and I really hope we get more books in this series (I think Junie’s is next) and get to see lots more of Tucker and Blakely.

Thank you to the author and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Loved the quirky side characters. Especially Whit and Etta! I would be interested in a book from Whit’s POV.

Blakely wasn’t my favorite MC though. She was a little too much for me.

I did really like Tucker!! And of course Hershel, the dog. – he was the star LOL I actually loved the entire Greyson family and would love more from them!

GT is the grandpa we all want.

This is good, but it isn’t GREAT. It didn’t excite me. It was over the top, but honestly sometimes just TOO over the top that it wasn’t enjoyable. I didn’t want to reach for this one. I wasn’t swept away in the story and anxious to keep reading. The Coffee Girl series from this same author swept me away – I couldn’t stop reading! I was hoping for that same kind of oomph from this story, but I was a little let down. I will still check out a second book if the author continues this series.

FYI – for a small town, wholesome story there are some spicy scenes so be aware if that’s not your thing.

Slow burn romance. They start off on the wrong foot, both making rush judgements about the other person. However, they soon get into a routine as roommates and friends, and both hope for more.

For me, secondary characters make or break a book, and I really enjoyed them in this story. Whit, Jason, Junie, Annie, Etta, Tanya, even Bhodi. Great cast of characters to add to Blakely and Tucker’s story.

If you are looking for a sweet story with some laughs thrown in as well, this is the book for you. Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Where The River Takes You to come out July 14, 2022!

Looking at this cover (which is beautiful, btw), I did not expect this book to be so much fun. It’s a small town, slow burn romance between unwanted roommates. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Blakely and Tucker. I loved all the quirky characters in Grayson’s Gap and I’m so happy I’ve discovered Sophie Sinclair.

I will probably be gushing about this book for a long time to come. This was the perfect small town romance and I cannot say enough wonderful things! Blakely and Tucker start off as enemies but quickly find that they enjoy spending time together and as OCD as Blakely is, Tucker is just a patient and a gentleman.

And can we talk about the town of Greyson Gap and it’s wonderful and eclectic characters. They drew you in and made you want to stick around. There were so many times I was laughing out loud and wanting more! Please read!! You will love it!!

I fell in love with this story and all the characters! It's a sweet, charming, fun and funny story that also pulled on my heart strings a time or two.

This story had me smiling almost the whole way through! (There were a few tearful moments in there as well.) Between the banter, the crazy meddling town, and all the "uh oh" mishaps, there wasn't a dull moment!

I thoroughly enjoyed Tucker and Blakely's story and I can't wait to revisit this small town with the next story.

A lovely small-town romance with plenty of funny moments. I liked the hint of slow burn, which turned into friends-with-benefits. The characters felt realistic, and the town was almost like a character itself. I enjoyed this and will keep an eye out for other stories by Sophie Sinclair in the future!

I absolutely love Sophie Sinclair’s books and I’m so happy I finally read Where the River Takes You.

Why should you read this?
* opposites attract- Tucker and Blakely were complete opposites and their banter was hilarious
* the small quirky town had me giggling the whole time, I never knew what to expect from Etta and her crew
* forced proximity- who doesn’t want to be stuck in a cabin on the water with a sexy ex MLB star?
* an adorable dog- he’s always up to something driving Blakely up the wall

This was such a fun, light romance that I highly recommend you check out! It was a great set up for more books in the series too. I can’t wait to go back to Greyson Gap for Junie’s story!

I just love when a friend recommends a book and you end up loving it! Thank you Andrea for putting this book and this author in my hands!

"Unrequited love is for nilly-willies. Don't be a roadside weed, Blakely. Be a centerpiece statement making flower!"

What a joy to read this one! Blakely is a perfectionist and an event planner. So when her biggest event of the year goes belly up with spoiled mayo, her partner sends her packing. With a summer off she heads to Greyson Gap, NC for some R&R in her best friends mountain retreat.

I am a sucker for small town romance, in fact, it is my favorite setting. Add in a shirtless guy working on a car and I'm sold. I loved Blakely's character so much and could totally relate to her "angry cleaning" which cracked me up. Her color coding schedule and the post-it notes! You guys, THE POST-IT NOTES lol. She was up-tight but the predicaments she got herself into where hilarious! The chemistry between her and local bachelor, Tucker, was spot on! If you are a lover of romance, you need to pick this up!

Read if you love:
*Found Family
*One House Trope - I am making it a thing lol
*Enemies to lovers
*Small town settings
*Opposites attract
*A dog as it's own character

Who doesn’t love a small-town romance, set in the mountains, the perfect escape from daily life, for you and the characters! Sophie introduces you into this world of Greyson Gap, with its’ quirky residents, beautiful scenery, and calm lifestyle, but it’s the people that make you want to stay.

Blakely is an events planner, one at the top of her game, until she accidentally gives a very high-profile client, and all their guests, food poisoning. Ousted by her business partner, she retreats to Greyson Gap to gain some distance from the scandal and gain some perspective on what she wants from life. Organised and together always, the possibility of the unknown terrifies her, especially when she learns the cottage she’s staying in actually belongs to Tucker, the mountain man she had an unfortunate run in with on the way into town. Initially Tucker is determined to drive the type A Blakeley back to where she came from, but soon realises that maybe pushing Blakely out of her comfort zone and seeing how fun life can be without a plan is a better idea. With the close proximity, the mountain air, and the attraction between them, will something more than a friendship blossom between them?

Tucker and Blakely took a while to warm up to, unfortunately initially I just found Blakely annoying. But once the reasons for her behaviours were revealed, a lot more made sense. She needed the control because it was something she’d been taught, always having to prove she was the one in the driving seat and made sure everything went exactly to plan, because if not, she wouldn’t get the support of her parents. But nothing was ever good enough, and it took Tucker showing her that it was okay not to be perfect, she could be herself and the world wouldn’t fall apart. Tucker was a bit of an idiot to start with, determined to drive Blakely out of town. It was odd, it felt like he was in a constant battle with himself over whether he should give into the attraction he felt for her, or push his feelings, and her, away so he didn’t have to think about them. Sophie’s characters are always quirky, and the residents of Greyson Gap were no different, some of them were so weird for absolutely no reason! I found myself craving a voice of reason, someone who could actually talk some sense into them, not cryptic hairdressers who dyed people’s hair pink. Overall, I enjoyed this new world of Sophie’s, it wasn’t my favourite, but I will happily return to Greyson Gap to see what other weird tales she writes from there.

After a humiliating disaster with her business, an uptight, need-to-be-perfect woman escapes Atlanta for a small town in the mountains to share a cabin with an infuriating, but handsome man.

Blakely loves organization and Marie Kondo more than most people. When she is stressed, she seeks intense cleanliness and perfection. But after a career ending disaster, her friend suggests she visit a small town where her friend's family lives. The first person she sees is a handsome, and equally annoying, man that is so different from her that she wonders exactly what she has gotten herself into.

Tucker Greyson is the town's golden boy that fought hard to win his chance in the MLB and then retired from it. The death of his father and breaking off of his engagement has Tucker living in a shadow ever since. When a hoity toity city girl his cousin sent messes with his peace, he has to decide exactly how is going to handle his attraction to her.

Blakely is less than impressed with Tucker. Every interaction with him has her irritated and is the opposite of the peace she needs. When the two are in a forced proximity situation, it's clear the two are warring with shared attraction. A fragile friendship begins, as Tucker encourages Blakely to get to know the community and take steps outside her comfort zone. Blakely craves neatness and order and drags Tucker into her insanity. The two grow closer despite knowing Blakely is only in town temporarily. When conflict arises, the two must decide if their future is together or just a casual memory.

I think maybe I'm in a rut. This book was just meh for me. A lot of the secondary characters were annoying. I found myself disinterested in the details and skipping over sections. The story has a slow burn but it is an awkward one. The relationship goes from broken to permanent without any time spent in between as a dating couple. Tucker is frustrating at times and Blakely is immature and red flag mentally unhealthy. The conflict was super awkward and took a long time to correct. Some of the secondary characters really took away from the story, were ridiculous, and felt completely pointless. It was a nice ending and bizarre epilogue.

"I think I would like the river to take me home where I belong."
"And where is that?"
"Here. I belong here."
"Yes, you do."

Rating: 4.5/5

Where The River is basically the plot of a Hallmark movie with more laughs and steam (a.k.a my ideal combo 👏🏻). What happens when Blakely, a high-strung event planner who counts organisation as her most fun hobby is ordered to take a summer vacation and has to share a house with Tucker, an ex-baseball player and cocky small-town boy?

Here's what to expect:
- City girl x "sinfully sexy" small town boy
- Dual POV
- Summer romance
- Enemies to lovers
- Forced proximity (housemates) to heighten that sweet sweet tension.
- Found family
- A mischievous dog
- Small town shenanigans, complete with characters like Etta Bird, GT and Creepy Carl.
- So many laugh-out-loud moments: "You're like Martha Stewart on crack."
- Amazing chemistry: "I'm drowning and I can't breathe, just from his touch."
- Excellent banter, as Tucker knew how to push her buttons!
- Cute nicknames, like Smiles, Blake and Blakely May 🥹.
- YOLO

I just loved these two. It was a delight to see people-pleasing Blakely finally let go and find what truly brings her joy. She was so endearing and relatable, from her honest therapy experience to getting flustered telling Tucker she wants to do casual but doesn't know how. Tucker oozed small-town charm and confidence and I adored how he slowly pushed Blakely out of her comfort zone. The amount of swoony moments I highlighted is concerning 😂. These two were just perfect for each other and their love story was so heartwarming, in case that wasn't obvious ❤️.

Thank you so much to Sophie Sinclair and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book.

This is a sexy, opposites-attract contemporary romance set in rural North Carolina. Blakely is a highly-stung event planner, but when her most important event is ruined by batch of bad mayonnaise and the subsequent food poisoning, she retreats to her friend’s house in the Smoky Mountains. But said house is shared by all her friend’s cousins, and right now it’s also occupied by ex-baseball player Tucker, who is determined to push her out of her comfort zone. It’s written in first person from both Blakely and Tucker’s points-of-view.

There’s lots of snarky banter of the ‘being aggravating cause you’re hot when you’re annoyed with me’ variety, but unfortunately they did a good job of aggravating *me* as well as each other. At one point one of them thinks “I know I’m being a dick, but it’s all part of the master plan” which. No. Please, I am tired.

There’s also quiet a few ‘there’s an old Native American proverb’ etc bits, which felt iffy - I’m not from the US so hey, maybe that’s how rural folks talk, but considering we also get some uncritical family lore about how their ancestors came from Scotland to ‘settle’ their ranch in North Carolina… It just felt very weird to have ‘here’s the Native American story of the local river’ and ‘here’s the time our family colonised land stolen from the Native Americans’ in the same conversation.

Anyway, it’s a sweet enough small town romance, with a classic ‘uptight city lady moves to the mountains and discovers what she really wants.’ It just wasn’t quite for me.

Where the River Takes You was absolutely adorable and it is the most I’ve laughed while reading a book ALL year. I got very strong “The Proposal” vibes from this one. It is full of sneaky, meddling, well-meaning geriatrics and downright hilarious family members who are all desperate for the two main characters to get together. Blakely is a bit of a control freak, who’s hobbies include organizing and stress-vacuuming and her favorite color is white. She is living to work and absolutely miserable doing it, but doesn’t realize this until there’s a big blow up in her career, bringing her from Atlanta to Greyson Gap, NC. I saw a lot of this girl in myself and nothing made me happier than to see her to grab the YOLO mentality and run with it. Then there’s Tucker- an honorable guy who, very willingly, gave up his pro baseball career to move back and help his family. He’s started his own business, comes to his family’s aid on a minute’s notice, and even still maintains their family ranch. It seems like he’s absolutely thriving until Blakely, his unexpected neat freak of a roommate shows up, and changes everything. This guy was determined to scare her off and the things he tried to do to spook her were so entertaining! The way these two fell in love was sneaky… they slowly weaseled their way into each other’s lives until there was no turning back. This was an adorable love story with a few very spicy scenes that were perfection! I highly recommend this to anyone that loves an enemies to lovers, close proximity, small town romance.

Small-town + romcom + one of my fave indie authors = Where The River Takes You 😍
OUT NOW and available through Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.

Sophie Sinclair has a way of pulling her readers in with her quintessential rom com writing, but underneath there is always a heartfelt story to tell, with lots of laughs and poignant moments along the way.
Set in small-town Greyson Gap, meet Blakely, escaping from Atlanta and an event gone wrong, and town hero Tucker. These two are thrown together for the summer as roommates, forced proximity in the best kind of way! Total opposites in character, Blakely and Tucker navigate a personality clash, quirky neighbours and townsfolk through their time spent together.
Blakely, very much in control and organised to a T does not appreciate Tucker’s laid back ways or his cute, but messy dog Herschel.
I laughed at the antics that go on in this town, Etta, Racquel and Tanya to name a few, and I’m fully invested in the rest of the Greyson family and what comes next!
Blakely is at the core of this book and I loved her personal growth throughout the pages, her journal writing, her self-awareness and discovery of the acronym YOLO!
Can you tell I just love this book? 💜
Romance fans, I totally recommend Where The River Takes You as your next romance read!

Where the River Takes You is a small town romance filled with humor, sizzling chemistry and characters that you will fall in love with. After a disaster at work, Blakely takes a break, leaves the city, and finds herself in the small town of Greyson Gap. She unexpectedly ends up with a roommate who she is constantly butting heads with. Blakely and Tucker are complete opposites but over time they start to fall for each other.

Enemies to lovers is my favorite trope which made me even more excited to pick up this book. There were loads of sexual tension between Tucker and Blakely. Their banter and chemistry was fantastic. The part of the book where they were "enemies" was the perfect length for me. They are now added to my list of favorite couples.

Blakely was such a fun character. She got herself into these awkward and hilarious situations that are making me smile now just thinking about them. But she did have some things she struggled with. She showed a lot of growth throughout the book. Her journey to happiness and really living her life added a layer of depth that made this so much more than a rom-com.

There's just something about Sophie's writing and humor that I've always connected with. She's one of the few authors whose books I read that make me literally laugh out loud. After not reading any of her books for so long, the second I started this one I remembered why I enjoy her writing so much. She creates characters you care about and a fictional world you feel connected to.

This is the perfect summer rom-com read!

The opening scene proves that Mayo is an abomination and should be forbidden. Utter and complete chaos from Mayo. What an opening that had me alternating laughing and covering my mouth in horror.

I loved this book and it was just what I needed. Low in drama, high in humor and steam, and a small-town setting that made me feel right at home. After finishing it I was sad that Greyson Gap, nestled in the mountains of NC, doesn’t really exist. It felt like home.

I loved the enemies to lovers banter between the 2 MC, the forced proximity from having to share a house, and all the found family. Bhodi had me snort laughing because he was just so over the top clueless and in his own world, doing his own thing. He’s the neighbor that would grate on your very last nerve and cause a perma eye twitch, but as an outsider, I found him quite comical. And I petition all small town romances must come with an adorable dog.

The dialogue between Tucker and Blakey was snappy and humorous and kept the story flowing while waiting for the payoff from the slow burn. The wait was well worth it because the author did not hold back on the steam.

I’m sorry I waited so long to review Where the River Takes You. It is perfect for a lazy summer afternoon with a glass of ice cold sweet tea and the sound of running water nearby. It’s available in KU. Even though summer is coming to an end, I encourage you to pick this one up. It will leave you feeling refreshed and smiling and would be a great pick me up.

Exactly what small town romance should be like! This story has so many golden moments…

With a slow and gentle start we meet Blakely and to be fair I wasn’t sure how I was going to take her. She’s pretty uptight and judgemental and that’s putting it mildly!!
Then as we get to know her and her personality unfolds we are treated to the most wonderful of characters. With a pure heart and such a caring soul she is the perfect book heroine.
We also meet Tucker, he isn’t to be ignored that’s for sure! Wow! He is all gruff cowboy and rugged edges…romance reader catnip!
To say they get off on the wrong foot wouldn’t be a lie!! He can’t get his head around this bonkers woman with some seriously compulsive traits, and she can’t handle his carefree, free spirited attitude….

I loved the way Ms Sinclair paced this story. As Tucker and Blakely get to know each other, so too does the reader begin to understand each of them, their attraction and you can’t help but grow to care for each of them. With a ring side seat we are taken on the tour of quirky small town introductions with Blakely and treated to the closeness of family and sense of belonging with Tucker.

An absolute joy of an introduction to this new series from Ms Sinclair. Hot, heartfelt and humorous….I can’t wait to go back to Greyson Gap!
