He’s a lover. She’s a thief. A magic like no other will bind them together.

After the death of his parents, Anton Bereza works hard to provide for his younger siblings. Love has never been in the cards for him, especially after desperation forces Anton to sell himself for coin. And he has no idea that, beneath the city of Kedaf, lies a place called the Bone Valley.

When Anton’s jealous client plots against him, he is cursed to spend eternity in a world where all that remains are broken bones. There, Anton meets Nahli Yan—a spirited woman who once tried to steal from him—and his cards begin to change. But as the spark between them ignites, so does their desire to escape. All that stands in their way is the deceitful Queen of the Dead, who is determined to wield her vicious magic to break Anton and Nahli apart. Forever.

Marked by Magic is filled with twists and turns, magic, and romance. Both captivating stories are stand alones set in the same world and can be read in any order.

Totally terrific duology!! Loved both books! 5 stars!

The Bone Valley-

Another awesomely unique story from Robinson! Cool bone world setting; love the visuals and skeletons! Sweet skeleton romance! Fun, macabre vibe. Anton finds himself entangled with the wrong person, and Nahli makes a bad decision that leads to some unfortunate events for her. Anton and Nahli team up in hopes of bettering each of their situations. There’s also a witch having her own problems; she knows more than she thinks. Plus, there’s a cute bone meerkat that proves to be a big help. Entertaining!

Merciless Stars-

This was great!! Love some slightly blood thirsty sisters! Like the writing style; this author always has unique ideas, and love the macabre vibe to the story. Cool ideas surrounding magic; an entertaining read! Liked both the sisters, Silver and Afton, and the love interests, Keelin for Silver and Ragan for Afton. Silver and Afton are strong ladies that kick booty! The romances are sweet and very steamy; less about past partners would’ve been cooler, but still enjoyed the chemistry going on. Also, I liked that there’s multiple POVs; it helped me to warm up to Afton by getting her POV. Also, I really appreciate that this is a complete story! Looking forward to the next book by Robinson!

I read and loved each of these books and definitely think you should read this duology! This is the perfect spooky season read, but I would honestly want to get lost in the Bone Valley any time of year.

The Bone Valley:

Oooh this was good. I really loved Anton and his siblings, and I so rooted for Nahli to find her happy. The Bone Valley was such a unique world, and I loved what Anton created there. It just seemed like such a creepy yet beautiful place. The Queen of the Afterlife was definitely diabolical and a formidable opponent. I loved all that happened and was so happy with the ending. Such a great read!

Merciless Stars

This book was so much fun to read. Silver and Afton were the definition of fierce. They were fighters and survivors, and I really loved their bond. I enjoyed their time in Enare, unraveling the mystery of that creepy place and its inhabitants. There were many great characters in this, and so much was not what it seemed. I really love how everything ended up, and I cannot wait to read this again and step back into this world.
