MY BABY MAMA IS A LOSER is another ratchet banger from Amazon bestselling author QUAN MILLZ. Meet DeAndre "Dre" Williams, a determined, single father who finds himself caught up in drama with his no good baby mama, LaTrisha aka Trish. When things go south and Dre is able to get custody over his daughter, he sets out to change the course of his life to make things better for him and his child. Years later, he runs into more baby mama drama, but this time, he's determined to not go down the same path as before. But will he prevail? Read more in MY BABY MAMA IS A LOSER!
Not as funny as Bitch Got Roaches or Pastors Eat Puss but real frustration. Surprised there’s the mom’s POV too so it sounds less bias. She’s still a lame but she has you think for a sec maybe she’s less messy than tricking in a car w/ her kid knocked out in the back. But naw. She justifies everything and it’s funny how she’s always like “I’d never do ___” then slippery slopes into it.
The dude Dre was raised better than to get with her and his mama gives exasperated advice. Before and after he comes close to killing her, breaking out her windshield. Interesting the mom knows the detective and all the neighbors and her own sister knows that girl is bad news. He files for full custody. He bends the truth just enough that the case is supposed to go smoothly.
I just didn’t expect this to be 300 pages and more drama/kinda depressing than comedy. The humor is mostly more so whenever someone is described as shoveling in brand-specific snacks to look the way they do. When I’m about to bail at 10%, we get a new twist. Another baby mama? People getting shot and framed and involved w/ drugs and comas. God and cancer. The dude really steps up all wholesome sometimes but wild women from his past keep muddying the waters.
I didn’t realize so many adults said “cool beans” to other adults, lol.
On the fence... This is my first book by this author and I’m undecided. Normally his titles are off putting so I normally skip over them, but this synopsis made me decide not to judge a book by its cover. I don’t know exactly where he’s going with this story, it’s all over the place. I’ll see what happens with part 2.
What can I say besides that Quan Millz has deserved the title of International Best Selling Author. Going into this book, I didn't know what to expect. How good could a book titled 'My Baby Mama Is A Loser' be? Well, it turns out that it was extremely good and well written. Mr. Millz knows how to write a dramatic, action packed story. Each chapter left off with a cliffhanger that made you waiting to see what the next chapter held.
Incase one is wondering, yes, the baby mama is infact a loser, but also so is the father, to an extent. The book does a good job in showing that one's choice's have a major impact on their life's trajectory. Both the baby mama and the baby daddy make mistakes non-stop, almost to the point that you begin to tear your hair out in frustration. But how they deal with the hardship is what sets them apart. Not to say the baby daddy makes good decisions. Simply that he makes decisions good enough to place him in a position to get lucky. If I was as lucky as the baby daddy in this book, I'd be the president and the millionnaire.
Overall the book was great and written well enough. I cannot wait to read another Quan Millz book and I hope the rumors are true that he is moving into Urban Horror.
I never knew that someone could not have a redemption arc. This baby mama is the true definition of a loser. I pray to the high heavens that this LaTrisha woman was not inspired by an actual person, because my gawd on today. EE-MAGI-NEEEE you do not have 1 redeeming quality outside of *maybe* being able to perform adult acts well enough for 500-2k. And even then… chile.
I was entertained and it wasn't a complete horrible read.
This book isn't as ghetto as most ghetto books. Which is a good thing. But I may be a bit too critical but i do feel as if something qas missing..i don't know what. Maybe more character development or something. Not a bad read like i said.
y’all don’t judge me… tiktok enticed me to read at least one Quan Millz book.
let me just say this, it was extremely entertaining and was packed with a lot of drama- a comedic relief book(which I definitely needed after reading The Nightingale) i ended up reading the book within a few hours.
if you love Tyler Perry films then this book is for you!!
One of Quan’s better works. I do find that Quan struggles to write likeable men and Dre was no exception. He’s a nasty piece of work. Poor Trish (the loser baby mama) just never got a fair chance at life and this is a story of the never ending tragedy she’s subjected to. Trish was a lot of fun and deserved so much more.
this is some shit they read in the boondocks. vaguely funny and ramps up the craziness by the second half but not really engaging on the whole. every woman in the book is an insane ratchet hoe and the male lead is a sex addict prone to threats of violence. quan millz is like aaron mcgruder if he was sponsored by ronald reagan and the cia.
This book was a page turner. I love it from beginning to the end. This book remind me of someone I know... I'm about start part 2 . Please Reader if you're looking for something to read this is the one.😊😊😊😊😊
This was the “safest” title I saw by Quan Mills. I wanted to start off slow. I read it straight through. It is a relatable everyday messy good time. On to the next one…
Wow the ending was shocking poor Dre has more drama then he can handle! I sure hope part 2 is a good follow up and we find out what else could possibly happen!
Yet another GREAT READ, loved it and the fact that it shined the light on FATHERS WHO STEP UP.... The female characters were exactly that, some messed up characters
I genuinely cried when i found out what happened to tanisha, she did not deserve all of that like everyone left her, her daughter thought she was someones old grandma and that her wig was trash, she got paralyzed and had 3 strokes and she had to watch the love of her life marry someone else and she literally pooped herself from shock, and everyone knew about it.
