When I say I couldn’t put this book I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! I absolutely devoured this book and quickly went onto book number 2! Incredible story telling, amazing characters, and so much sass and fire in all the dialogue, it truly made it Un-put-downable.
For those that love the slow burn between two characters-this book is for you.
For those dark hearted souls that like a little messed up love-this book is for you.
For those that love the teddy bear sidekick you wanna climb like a tree-this book is for you.

I cannot say enough good things about this book, but since the cliff hanger has been in my head and I need to know what happens next, I shall stop, and you just need to read for yourself!

I quickly became attached to all 4 characters introduced (5 if we count my boy Creed 😍) and couldn’t stop because the author had me needing to know what was going on asap. I NEEDED to know what secrets were being kept and WHO IS X?!
Warning: the ending is a cliffy but it is SO worth it!!
I literally can not wait for the next book. I have no doubts this story will continue to live in my head until the next release!

HOLY ROLLERCOASTER RIDE! S.F. Rae and her characters take the reader on a wild ride!!! I LOVE all of these characters. Creed is my favorite! Funny, Witty, Strong, Caring...Nyx also becomes a favorite as well! LOTS AND LOTS of twists, turns and clues near the end of the book! Kitten/Wildcat/Princess... The way the scenes were written, it felt like I was there. I was sad, happy and disgusted all at once!
UGH! The romance, bromance and comedy was perfect! I cannot wait for books 2 and 3!

Full of suspense and twists, and ends on a cliffhanger. Starting the second book because I need to know what happens next! Definitely not a standalone book as there is now HEA in this one. Hoping for more steam and chemistry with the MMC and FMC in the second one!

I LOVE Kaiden and Creed. The banter between charaters in this book was so entertaining. The only thing i struggled with was how Nyx hadnt met either one of the men before but was instantly pretty trusting and smitten dispite her constant inner monolog about just meeting them. Otherwise i could not put this down. I didnt figure out X till closer to the end.

This book is full of suspense and unexpected twists that I didn't see coming. The characters were all really likeable (apart from one, but that was the whole point) and I loved the friendship between Kaiden & Creed! My favourite character was Nyx, a fiery, unstoppable woman, not afraid to do things her way.
Everyone is trying to figure out who killed Maria, a well known & loved woman who was in charge of a club called Haven. Until she was brutally murdered along with many of the dancers at the club.
This book has a multiple POV and each chapter switches between characters, all trying to piece together what happened as well as 'X' who is a mysterious, sinister character.
I tried something new with this book as it's also a dark romance as well as a thriller! And I loved it!
A little warning that this book is very intense and there are lots of potential triggers in it such as: murder, kidnap, SA etc.
Overall, I really did enjoy reading this and I loved going out of my comfort zone to try it out! When the author approached me and asked if l'd like to try it, I thought why not, you don't know until you try! And I'm so glad I tried because it's brilliant!
The only not so good thing is the ending for me, I wish there was a bit more to it, but I fully understand why there wasn't as there's going to be multiple books in this series, I'll definitely be picking up the next book to continue the story!

Ok
This was ok. I have to admit, for a book that isn't pn KU and I paid for, I had higher expectations. The first 80% was really slow. You don't really know anything about any of these characters on a deep level, it's all surface level thoughts. I can't explain it but there's a huge disconnect in the way it's written, like you only get to see and know what's at the front of each narrators mind so you get very little background information. There hardly even seems to be any descriptions of the characters. We don't know any of their ages except Nyx is at least 20, and Jason isn't yet 50. There is also a really confusing mix of past and present tense even within the same SENTENCE. Which was very annoying. And as a why choose, we only see romantic interest between Nyx and Kaiden. With Creed it just seems like a platonic friendship and whilst X seems to be obsessed with her they don't interact at all in this book. I was very thankful though that Jason was taken out of the running as that potential was giving me a major ick and I'm unsure why his POV was so prominent other than as perhaps an MMC red herring. I've already bought books 2 and 3 whilst they were on sale so I will reluctantly read them, but this would have been a DNF had it been KU.

If life gives you lemons....
I am a massive fantasy reader but have decided to branch out and read other generes...and I'm so glad I picked this up!
The way the author writes makes it an easy read and even though the subjects in the book are dark, I breezed through it in a day.
Like most who read it, the banter between Kaiden and Creed is a favourite. It brings a touch of lightheartedness that is needed to brighten the dark.
Nyx definitely deserves all of her nicknames; Wildcat, Spitfire...though Princess probably doesn't fit her demeanour as well as the others haha she's feisty and definitely a strong character.
There some very twisted characters in the book that revel in their own depraved pervertedness.
I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next installment.

A quick read that left me craving the sequel! Loved the different points of view and adored Nyx and Jason. I didn’t see the twist coming! This book was fast-paced, violent, sexy, and full of wit. But now I’m dying to know what happens!

This was a great debut .The title ofcourse is blood being shed .The characters in the book were amazing .As I read the book in my mind I could picture what the characters look like .This is book one and I will continue the series .

I really struggled with this book. The first chapter had me intrigued about the crime and overall story....so that is why I rated it 2 stars. The characters all seemed so flat. Not one character seemed fully fleshed out and I know this is a first book in a series, but the characters were lacking so much so that I didn't find myself caring about any of them. The strength of Kaiden's feelings towards Nyx when he literally DOESN'T KNOW HER...and he is saying things like "she makes me want to be a better man"... that just feels so out of place. It didn't even feel like a real insta-love vibe as the chemistry is NON EXISTANT.
The other thing that really bugged me was the bumbling detective. You are telling me that you see a literal BIBLE VERSE TITLE/NUMER CARVED INTO A BODY...and you think "hmmmm seems bibilical" and then find yourself at a church (not even an official stop in the investigation) and decides to ask a priest about the bible verse....GOOGLE IT DUDE!? wtf?
Really had trouble with this one. Core story could have been rad, characters left too much to be desired. Won't be continuing the series.

Wow this one really took hold of me and wanted me to have sleepless nights, in a good way. Honestly couldn't stop wanting to read it. Where to begin on how amazing this book is, I guess the characters, the writing, the imagery it weaves so well together making you feel like you're there with them, living out the moments as they are. The part with Nyx and her parentage, well I had my suspicions which did turn out correct. And the character X, he's my favorite, dunno why but the little psycho drew me in from his first introduction. Can't wait for more of him. As for the killer, well up until he was just about to be revealed, well he never was on my list of persons of interest. I must say I thought at first when the killer was revealed it would turn out to be someone impersonating him, though glad to see it wasn't Andi hope he gets his just *desserts*. And also I'm hoping we didn't loose our jester of the group. Can't wait to read book two, hope the momentum keeps going all the way through this series!

Ready to sit at the edge of your seat waiting to know what’s next? Bloodbath will have you doing just that. The story is told from four separate points of view, so you get to see all the necessary angles of who did it in a murder mystery.
Throughout the book, I tried to figure out who the murderer was. Who will become lovers? Who did this and whom did that, and I must admit that I didn’t always get the answer right?
I will also warn you that the book ends on a pretty big cliffhanger. And now I can’t wait until book two is released in 2023.
Finally, I have to tell you that you will probably fall in love with Creed. As a side supporting character, he brings laughter and fun to the story. I must be honest and say the only other support character that I love as much as I love Creed is Oberon, the Irish Wolf Hound from the Iron Druid Chronicles.

This book was very good. Right from the first chapter it hooks you right in. It’s not easy to put this one down to go back to real life as you’re kept guessing throughout the entire thing. If you like a dark book that has a great plot with a splash of romance I suggest you give this a read. The inner monologue was brilliant. The characters relationship building was great. The suspense was amazing, I love when it’s not predictable. I got to do character casting with the author which was also really fun. I will be reading the second book asap as this one was unfortunately left on a cliffhanger.

This book was gifted to me for playing a little game on her Facebook. I am open to discovering new authors so long as the book is entertaining and gets going from page one. Greed, corruption, alpha male MMC not forgetting our sassy minx MFC This did not disappoint! It’s starts off really gory and bloody, but leaves so many unanswered questions. We get to meet some very shall we say colourful and diverse characters they make the story flow. The story just gets going when it finishes on one hell of a cliffhanger !! Well Alice little rabbit let’s go down the rabbit 🐰 hole for book 📚 2

I really enjoyed this book. I read the Hollows Row by Trisha Wolfe and loved it so much, so I searched for more books that has a dark Romance / murder mystery Vibe...and I found this.
I suspected every second character, even the poor priest🤣🤣
The ending👀👀👀👀Some shit's gonna go down in the second book and I can't wait to start reading it!

Like none of it was a suprise.
And i can't do insta love/lust after getting kidnapped. The MMC & FMC is in love at first sight. and she only sees that one MMC, so I can't understand how any one else can be a love interest too at least not Creed if he is, he will just be an after thought.

Deliciously dark, twisted and a fantastic sense of humor!
I didn't knew this author but I'm impressed!She weaved an addictive dark tale with several triggers (all mentioned by the author) that only make the story more intense.
A very special mention to how much I loved the characters sense of humor.
For those who love dark romance ,I highly recomend!
And definitly an author to follow!

You hardly get any descriptions of the characters which was a bit weird. It's like one man has green eyes, one is tattooed and one is old(er) with "salt and pepper" hair and female has dark hair. That's it. Rest is up to you. Creed was my favorite character (and he was side character with no POV) because he seem to be the one with personality. Not sure how this is going to play out with "why choose" trope. Anyways, I'm interested reading the second book to see how it goes.

This book is intense, dramatic, and full of surprises. From the first page, it’s clear you’re in for a wild ride bloody, bold, and impossible to put down. The mix of secrets, revenge, and sharp-edged humor (yes, even the lemon zester!) makes it stand out. How is this the authors debut novel a dark delicious novel that had me wanting more. A trigger shopping list for all dark romance lovers. With some twisted characters i cannot wait for the next book.
