bittersweet! greatest regret in life is never being able to go to a con where peow was tabling.

This was as darkly funny as the first instalment. There were some pages where the humour went completely over my head because I'm not that familiar with the world of conventions, nor the works by other Peow artists, but Jane Mai got everything else so very, very right. The way she observes the world with such simple but gorgeous artwork is second to none; the comic about food ordering made me laugh out loud and I loved the darker comics about her struggles with mental health. Just gorgeous.

The Animal Crossing-inspired comic in the second half of the book was also wonderful - although I do wonder how and if Nintendo is letting Peow get away with it.

A fantastic summary of PEOWs antics throughout the years. As a fan of their work, having not attended a convention, or really being aware of them until post-Covid, this comic is an absolute treat. A hilarious and honest self-interpretation. The chaos and adventure of running a business and organizing a community. Great stuff.

More hilarious autobio, and I like the longform piece in this one - a meta, gonzo, 4th-wall-breaking Animal Crossing-themed fanfic of PEOW's own operations - better than the last volume. Really sad that I only discovered this publisher shortly before they shut down, but this is a poignant send-off.

A true gem. At times shockingly honest, and at others it made me involuntarily laugh out loud. Pond Smelt conclusion was worth the wait.

Didn't like the PEOW stuff, found it not relatable and not funny.

But I liked the Pond Smelt stuff a lot more. It's very weird but I liked it.
