Screaming Eagles MC #1

Taken by the Bikers

Rate this book
A good girl does her duty. A bad girl does the sexy bikers who kidnap her.

To my ambitious politician father, I'm a disappointment. I'm not pretty enough, not thin enough, not radiant enough--not perfect enough to bolster his ambitions.

The Screaming Eagles MC is the largest motorcycle club in the city, and as the mayor, my father has declared war. He blames them for everything wrong in this city, and he's counting on his tough-on-crime stance and his new anti-biker task force to launch him into the running for senator.

But the Screaming Eagles have had enough. To send him a message he can't ignore, they snatch me away from our home in the dead of night. If Dad wants me back safely, he's going to have to dissolve the task force and step down.

The last thing I should be is attracted to my captors. I'm pajamas and hot chocolate while reading a good book--they're leather and grit and the danger I've always been warned to keep away from.

But Wild Child, with his tattoos and piercings, has me crossing limits I had never imagined.

Hero's amber eyes flash as he pleasures me like he knows me better than I know myself.

King terrifies me and has scars where none can see, but when he whispers dirty orders into my ears, I can't resist them.

And when my father decides to use my abduction for his own political gain, the guys are the ones who show me what real integrity and strength looks like.

Maybe it's time I stopped being a good girl.

The storyline for this was really interesting!

The bikers kidnap the mayor’s daughter because he has it out for the MC. Emily is an innocent and naive woman who doesn’t have the greatest life at home, and it’s proven to the bikers when her father makes it a point that the people in the city are more important than her.

I do feel like romantic feelings or any type of romance was lacking in this book, there really only seemed to be attraction. I never actually felt the feelings between the guys and Emily.

Something that would have been great was more POVs from the guys. I feel like I would have been able to better understand their feelings that way.

In most MC books the women that hang around the club are referred to a club bunnies (I think), but in this book they’re called club sluts, and they are referred to as sluts the whole book and it kind of bothered me. I don’t know that’s just me.

Also whenever there’s OW involved in books I’m not a fan of the man/men who are supposed to be the love interest referring to OW as sexy. For whatever reason, maybe I’m too sensitive, but I feel like it takes away from whatever connection should be forming between the main characters.

🆗 Bikers & biker gang
⬇️ Politician
🆗⬇️ Plot: the main ideas are there but it lacks depth and a proper connection
⬇️❌ Too fast paced
⬇️❌ Lacks connection between the characters
❌ Girl drama

❗FMC was controlled and physically abused by her father (not graphic)
❗FMC was kidnapped

It seems Emily connected to the first person (in this case 3) that protect her and took her from an abusive environment.

She got the opportunity to finally experience freedom, being desired, feeling attractive and being able to have a se*ual encounter.

And, from my point of view, the story doesn't reveals how they apparently developed a deeper connection. There is just a couple of talks and confessions but not enough.
Mostly it is just teasing and se*ual remarks, just lust.

Taken by the Bikers is a rough and tumble biker reverse harem romance with a dash of enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and first time themes.

It features...
* Three hot as hell bikers who are more than they seem
* Dangerous action and pantymelting sex
* A big cast of tough guys who are bound to show up in later books
* An adorable boxer pup named Jupiter

I hope you'll enjoy reading about Emily, King, Hero and Wild Child as they fight their way to a happily ever after, biker style.

Taken by the Bikers is the first book in the Screaming Eagles MC series. It is sexy, spicey, chemistry, menage a trois, reverse harem with plenty of action.

Alpha men who will protect you like no other, even if they did kidnap you.

A good read to while away some free time. Oh, and you will need a good, strong drink to get through it. Enjoy!

Rough Knights…

This book was edgier and a little bit darker then any book I have read by Stephanie Brother and I loved it! Emily is the daughter of the towns Mayor, who has an agenda to rid his town of all bikers. He wants to further his political career and he will take down any who stand in his way even his daughter. He is not a very nice man! Emily has suffered from her fathers abuse for years. Stuck under his thumb and made to be his perfect little puppet in front of everyone to make him look good. Bikers King, Hero and Wild Child have had enough of the mayors threats. They concoct a plan to kidnap Emily and force the Mayor to shut down his anti-biker task force. Unfortunately things don’t go as planned. They soon realize that they will do whatever it takes to keep Emily safe and theirs. I really enjoyed this book! King, Hero and Wild Child each had something separately to bring to the story and you want to root for them to get the girl. Emily may have been young and naive but her bikers brought out her fierceness and determination to take down her own father.

This author is a serious hit or miss. This is the second book I’ve read that was a complete farce, with also two that I utterly enjoyed…?

This one however, was so stupid, so unbelievable, and utter cringe.

Even skim reading was too much, I just didn’t care enough to bother.
The FMC was a complete idiot, even justifying in a sheltered existence, and naïve personality, this didn’t make sense.

There we’re so many logic holes, after awhile it just became more of a campy joke, except it was set within a more serious framework..

What makes it all the more frustrating is the other books by this author that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Sigh… Hit or miss, next time I stop reading sooner, knowing it won’t improve.

Heavy spice, light on plot.

By the end of the book we don't know what the biker club does for income. We don't even know their real names until the very end.

There were also a few cringy, lines.

The spice is what saved this book. Unfortunately even that is not enough for me to continue to read this series. Need more emotions, back stories, and angst.

Twists and turns with All the feels

Emily is the mayor’s daughter and is sheltered. One night a noise wakes her up and three men kidnap her. King, Hero, and Wild Child take Emily and wants to use her to get the mayor to back off their Motorcycle club. Emily is very attracted to her three captors and they are very attracted to her. Things start heating up with king, Wild Child,Hero, and Emily. She is seeing things a different way than what she was told and things are not as they seem. Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book. So many twists and turns.

just ignore the title

The title is rather lame compared to the very good, straightforward, spicy, HEA story. Makes a great snowy day kind of book.

My father warned me about the big bad bikers. He wasn't wrong 😉

I devoured this book by Stephanie,as I have all the rest. But I was glad that the bones of this story was different. It's refreshing to read this book about our unhappy heroine Emily, stuck in an abusive life with her father who was the mayor ,and mother who seemingly just sat back and stayed quiet on the sidelines. Whilst poor Emily was being turned into a passenger in her own life.
But that all changed on the night she Met,King,Hero and Wildchild.
You can't help but love all four of these characters. Well done Stephanie on her again a great book. Excited for the next trip to meet some more of the characters we've just met.

This was definitely a disappointing book for me. I liked it a lot until about 60% in. 🙄It became clear that the guys weren’t as protective as they were made out to be earlier. I’m just so disappointed in this book because the first half was fireeee. 🔥🔥🔥but it fizzled so fucking fast. I pushed myself to finish it.

Some parts really pissed me off. Specifically I hated that Wild Child let Janey fight Emily. 🤬🤬 He walks in on a 3 against one fight, where the “sluts” (opposite treatment than that of old ladies) are jumping Emily (who mysteriously has crazy fighting skills that she didn’t use to defend herself the first time Janey laid hands on her). Instead of putting an end to it Wild Child is basically like “it’s your fight, not mine”. And he supervises it. 🙄🙄🙄 Emily wins but he also refers to her as a slut in his head. So he’s not even seeing her as an old lady.

And King barely shows his emotions to Emily. None of them tell her they love her. There’s not that emotional linkage I’ve read in other biker books.

Basically it was just under an okay read. I’m mostly pissed at it. Especially since it had actual potential. 😐

What I liked:
Reverse harem
Bikers
Thicker than a snicker heroine
Wealth gap
Age gap
Dark romance
Underlying plot outside of relationship

What I didn’t like:
The lack of emotional investment from the heroes. 😬
The lack of “I love yous” from the guys while demanding she love them
The lack of actionable protectiveness 🙄
Referring to the heroine as the “top slut” when she beats Janey’s ass 🫠🫠
The ending dragged. It had multiple epilogues but none were labeled as epilogues
The fact that Emily’s dad’s trial was done in a few weeks…like no. Those things are never over fast without a plea deal

The MMCs were such loosers and the aggressive club slut coming for the FMC is so damn old. The motorcycle club was also goddamn useless and was not organized at all. Them holding church was laughable.
Honestly, the three MMCs kidnap the FMC without telling anyone or having a strategy. Just hoping for the best. What looser behavior and oh surprise, the strategy doesn't work. So the FMC is forced to hang around the club house. And when her dad talk about her death on a press conference, she cries and they console her by confincing her that fucking them is the ultimate revenge. Disgusting and dumb because her dad will never know.
When three "sluts" gang up on her and one comes at her with a knife one of the MMCs just lets her fight it out and fight for the position of queen slut. Wtf. She didn't want the position and is your captive and not part of the MC hierarchy.
Who would want to touch a man after that?
And of course she comes up with an actual plan so they don't get all executed in a raid and who helps her? The old queen slut and they do it in secret. Ughhhhh.
Come on, the sex scenes were subpar and the MC a bunch of loosers keeping woman around only for one thing.

Are you there Stephanie? It's me, Amanda. WOW. All I can say is wow. Seeing this was a biker romance, I knew it would be good, but oh my GIRL!!! I was blown away by this dark, gritty, & spicy story! Emily is a young, naive, silver spoon type woman who becomes entangled with King, Hero, & Wild Child when their worlds collide. Not only is Emily dealing with a not so happy situation at home, now she's got to worry about jealous women who want to see her anything but happy. This was a gripping, slow burn RH that had my Kindle steaming from the chemistry between her and the bikers. This was different than the normal from Stephanie and she nailed it. Can't wait for the next installment!!!

Emily is the mayor's daughter. He is a wretched man. Wild Child, King, and Hero end up kidnapping her just hours after she saw them for the first time. They think they can use her to get back at her father, but that's not the kind of man her father is. Things start getting more complicated than they bargained for as they figure things out. Between raids and girl fights, where does Emily's loyalty fall?
This book will take you on an over dose of adrenaline, rip your heart out, and leave it laying on the floor, before fixing your soul.

The smut was very hot but other than that I’m not so sure about this one. The thing with the nicknames/code names (what do you call it?) was very confusing because it kinda threw me off that there was someone named Wild Child. Calling someone a Wild Child during a foursome… Not my thing apparently. But hey, that’s just me.
The plot was fine I won’t continue this series, though because I didn’t connect with any of the other characters enough that I want to know their story.

Two of my favorite troupes in one story and the book is well written?! Yes please!!!! I’m always looking for more RH MC writers/series. Often what I find is stuff that isn’t well done or some of the men are not fully fleshed out. I’m often disappointed. Not with this book. I loved everyone. Though I wish Emily had grown a spine a little earlier (her mom too). The guys are all hot and are unique, but they complement Emily and one another. Their complex relationship works well and certain scenes are just so darn hot. The book is fast paced and fun!

fantastic read

This was a great book, strong well thought out storyline that kept me completely entertained. Tonnes of sexual tension and hot AF steamy scenes.
Loved the biker aspects with the poor little rich girl, with the added twists it made for a really enjoyable read.
Overall a fantastic book

...As always.
I haven't read a Stephanie Brother book that I don't like and this is no exception.
Such a great story. There's always hot hot scenes, love, drama and serious topics. When I start a Stephanie Brother book I know I need to not have other plans because I'm not putting it down until I'm done.

Ehh it was just ok. I didn't much care for the fmc and I felt as though a clear picture of the characters was never really given I still don't know what the fmc looked like. I felt as though the author tried so hard to make it a biker book but it fell short and was bland. It was ok but boring too so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to friends but it's a ok time waster.

Three hot bikers, yes please!!!

Emily gets kidnapped by three bikers from the Screaming Eagles MC; King, Hero and Wild Child. They kidnap her in hopes of getting her father, Mayor Kurt Hawthrone off their backs. This is a great read and I highly recommend it!

It's ok, but these are the nicest bikers ever, and this heroine can't stop thinking about sex. She's kidnapped, but they're so cuddly and friendly, she ends up in an HEA with all the kidnappers!

Aside from some super cringy scenes, this was a really good book. I mean I had high expectations going into this one like really high expectations. I really love a good MC reverse harem and this one top marks.

It definitely had its moments of cringe and like WTF about it. I'm not going to lie but the characters are really good and they're really well-developed in my opinion.

Emily is a spitfire. Oh my goodness she is hilarious and I just love the backbone that she has to just stick up for herself to these dudes like they aren't three of the biggest men she's ever seen in her entire life and could probably take her out without even blinking.

King, I really liked his character because I mean who doesn't love tall, dark broody and handsome really? But I really appreciated. You know the subtle parts of his character like he definitely could have been more flushed out. Obviously in a standalone any character can always be more flushed out. You're never going to get like a superbly in-depth character in a standalone. It's just never going to happen unless you're standalone is like 900 pages but anyhow.

Hero was kind of a little bit all over the board for me. It was super hard to kind of grasp his character a little bit sometimes because he was definitely the in between of both King and wild child. But I definitely loved his ability to just be as brutal for her and is caring for her while still being like this is big bad biker dude.

Wild child was here for strictly the good times and the good times for the fun times. He honestly had me dying. I want to meet somebody who has this personality in real life. I want to meet them. I want to fuck them. I want to know them. I absolutely fucking love this feral energy that it gives off. Absolutely love it!.

Definitely a good read. I'm really excited for the second book in this world. I can't wait to read that one. Thank God it comes out in a few days.

DNF 38% *review contains SPOILERS*

I had first picked up Property of the Outlaw Sons MC series and it made references to the Screaming Eagles series and all I could think was ooh must read because I really enjoyed the Outlaw Sons MC series. But I just couldn't with this book, I tried, I really really tried but I just... Emily was a terrible character and the guys weren't much better, no real depth to any of them.
If Emily wasn't thinking about doing dirty deeds with her "kidnappers", which was almost constantly, then she was whining about something happening with her "kidnappers" when it actually did. Which up to my stopping point was only twice but frickin hell talk about wishy-washy as all get out. Then there was chapter 12, just dumb, see rant below*.
Like I said earlier the guys weren't much better: King was the one dimensional brooder, Hero the basically boring in between King and Wild Child, & then there was Wild Child, he was basically an over grown toddler. To say that I'm disappointed with this book is an understatement.

*Chapter 12 has Quickshot, a young prospect, getting shot and Emily stepping up to give first aid. It really was a stupid scenario; you mean to tell me some of the bikers don't have basic first aid training for all the fights and shootouts they get into? Dumb. Especially when Hawk speaks up and says he has basic military first aid training, he would know what to do above and beyond what she did. All she did was have them prop him up and apply pressure to the wound, LITERALLY that was it 😒. I found that whole scenario stupid and a poor excuse of advancing the story so she didn't escape. And up to the point where I stopped the guys are constantly referring to her first aid skills as if they're amazing and fascinating cause according to them she "saved" his life, just dumb.

While I enjoyed the writing, humor, and characters, this type of story just doesn’t hold up as a standalone. My star rating dwindled as soon as a switch abruptly flips like the relationships were a video put on 2.0x speed.

The story encompasses the span of two weeks but the characters speak as if it’s been months. Even the typical jealous girl says at one point, “I warned you a while ago!” It’s been a couple days, at best, babes.

The guys all share one vulnerable thing each with her & immediately conclude that they love her because she was empathetic. They all need therapy, but they’d probably leave her for the therapist if they tried.

She goes from being a virgin to taking peen like a pro, even taking it where the sun don’t shine days!! later!! with minimal prep. The author belatedly notes that the way they’re throwing her into the deep end of physicality is from a place of worship of her body. This is during the scene where she’s taking all three at once when it has been nary a fortnight since she’d never even seen a peen before.

And they all want to marry her? Of course they do. She’s a naive little bean two apples tall that listened to them once. It’s just not giving what it needed to give & I found myself wrinkling my nose at parts I might’ve enjoyed had there been more build up & character development over multiple books.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "TAKEN BY THE BIKERS" WOW!!! What a different MC romance loved it full of drama, action, kidnapping, passion, angst, intrigue, entertaining thrilling ride your addicted to the end.
Emily Hawthorne has been rather sheltered by her father the Mayor who's put up get the Screaming Eagles MC to put a stop to his harassment King, Wild Card & Hero sneak into her room one night & kidnap her to use to strike a deal with the Mayor.
Emily finds her captors extremely hot she as attracted to them as they are to her all three want her things start to heat up between them she sees them completely different from what she been told she soon realises how little she meant to her father & swears to take him down for liar he is.
I definitely recommend to get this book see how Emily & Screaming Eagles MC's go about taking the Mayor down will Emily & her guys get their HEA I loved these characters so well worth the read you won't be disappointed. AWESOME AWESOME READ!!!!!

I loved this book! The way it felt fast paced but slow enough were you actually knew what was going on was amazing! I absolutely loved the fmc and the way she slowly started to break free from her dads hold and realized the lies he told. I also loved King, hero, and wild child and learning about each of their individual stories. Especially king. i loved him so much. Wild child was crazy and i loved that about him too but also getting to know his story especially through the journal he kept.

the only thing i didn’t like/could have been better was Hero’s story. I don’t think that we got to see/hear enough of his past besides the little bits with his mom and that still wasn’t a lot. This one’s just a personal preference, but their actual name. I loved the name Declan especially for King. It suits him. But hero? I don’t think craig was the right name for him. or wild child with Ian either. But again that’s just a personal preference. Overall great book! and so excited to read the rest of the series
