As the Dark of Night fades and a new day dawns for Andy and Will, their dream of a happy ending dissolves with the rising sun.

Once the queen of dreams, the only thing Andy Carter wants now is to escape the nightmare set in motion by a heartless ghost from her past.

And even if she can survive that trial, betrayal, secrets, and lies threaten to tear apart everything she and her husband Will have worked so hard to bind together.

In a last-ditch effort to salvage a mission they never intended to start, the Carters team up with old friends and new allies to bring down the most elusive criminal the world might ever know. But that endeavor shakes even the sturdiest of pillars when the villain of their final chapter just might be the last person Andy and Will ever imagined they'd have to fight.

Will they trust God to lead them through the darkness to the light? Is it finally time for the dreamwalker to awaken?

Carrie is a Louisiana born, Texas transplant and recent North Carolina resident. She earned her BA in English from East Texas Baptist University where she met and fell in love at first sight with her hunky husband, Jeffrey Craig Cotten.

After a short tour in Alaska with the Army, Carrie and Jeff returned to Texas to start a family. Fifteen years and four kids later, they answered God's call to enter the ministry, embarking on a wild adventure that led them to the Appalachian mountains.

When Carrie isn't writing, you can find her cuddling a chicken, petting a pig or snuggling a sheep on their small family farm. She loves the freedom they've found in homeschooling and the unlimited opportunities to explore the mountains. Camping, farming, and watching movies are some of their favorite family activities. Carrie and Jeff serve together at a small church where Jeff is the youth pastor.

Her favorite thing to do is steal a quiet moment to sit on her front porch and take in the most beautiful view she's ever seen in her life.

Andy Carter's faith, grit, and moxie are stretched to new limits in the third episode of Carrie Cotten's Dreamwalker saga. When everything she believed to be true turns hazy and the things about herself and her life that were always the most solid are nothing more than shifting sand, Andy has to dig deeper, reach higher, and stretch further than ever before to stay true to the mission and her calling. When you think Carrie can't surprise you any more, Awaken brings more personal villains, more impossible situations, and more faith-growing conviction than you thought possible.

Carrie drops her readers right into the action from page one and never lets up. Talk about. Page turner! Andy and Will’s collective and individual arcs challenged me as a believer and left me utterly charmed. I love the way Carrie reminds us through her characters that as long as there is life, there is hope. The Lord saves! Awaken is the perfect conclusion to the Dreamwalker trilogy.

Not as big of a fan of Teheran 3rd in this series. Maybe because I read them all back and back and maybe I was growing tired of the characters and their personalities. It was ok but I definitely had to push myself through it to finish it up.

“You’ve saved my life more times than I can count.” I offered my hand. “Maybe it’s time for me to save yours.” Without hesitation, he took it. “You saved my life the minute we met.”

This fantastic book is the third in the Dreamwalker series (and really needs to be read after the other two). It starts almost where the second left off. Andy and Will are dropped right into the fight.

I don’t even have the words for this book. The suspense is next level! The twists are twisty! The danger is intense! The faith and biblical truths humbling and convicting. My heart was breaking for Andy with the repercussions of the events of Dark of Night as well as the evil she was currently facing. Her battle with her feelings and her mind were intense. But her strength, bravery, and faith in spite of everything was so amazing. Her growth and desire to show mercy and grace was beautiful. Will! Will faces some HUGE challenges and caused me some major anxiety. His journey to surrender and balancing his love of and devotion to Andy with God’s will was incredible. His protective nature was really stretched and he learned where his true strength came from. Andy and Will’s relationship is tested almost to its limits but their love proves stronger. There were some intense moments when I couldn’t see Andy and Will’s happily ever after ever coming, but God! The last few chapters were so sweet and I LOVED the tie-in to The Huntress!

A few more quotes:
“There will come a time when you will fail someone you love too, and you’ll pray with all your heart they won’t give up on you. So let’s just keep hoping, keep praying, okay?”

“I am still afraid, Lord. I’m still choked with doubt—but I will obey. I will give whatever You call me to give.”

Whew! This book in a word: EXPLOSIVE! 💥 Each installment of #TheDreamwalkerSaga has been a twisting, turning, suspenseful ride, but Carrie really took things to the next level in the epic conclusion to this equally epic series! From page one, we find Andy and Will facing their biggest battle yet. Not only are they facing the culmination of years worth of secrets and lies and finally facing off with the real “big bad”, but they are also fighting foes from within themselves that may or may not be their undoing.

Throughout this series, I would think I had a handle on what was going on, who was behind what, and why they did what they did. But every time, Carrie has proved me wrong! With each book, she peeled back a layer on Andy’s past. Now, she’s ripped the entire veil off and what it reveals is not what I initially expected. 🤯🤯🤯 Carrie is so talented, you guys. I mean, how does she come up with this stuff?!

Every book of the series has held surprising plot twists. Book two almost gave me a full on heart attack. But this one? **takes a deep breath, still reeling from the trauma** I was so close to sending Carrie messages shouting, “HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!” The audacity of her to go out of the country while I was reading this. 😜

As always, Carrie hasn’t just written a mind-bending thriller. She’s written a story that challenges and uplifts the Christian heart. It’s so wonderful to read something that’s as exciting as any crime/action movie or show you’d watch, yet is infused with Christian themes! Instead of only holding darkness, the story holds light and hope as well.

If you love mystery, suspense, light sci-fi, or anything like—read this series!!!

PS: that ending!!! I have so many questions!!! Is there a chance of a spin-off series? (Looking at you, Carrie!) 👀

From start to finish, Awaken is faithful to Andy, Will, Matt, Jacob, and all the characters we’ve come to love. But ultimately, what I find most humbling and admirable about these books is that the romance, suspense, government agency gone rogue trope (it’s a thing), country hopping, and in-depth storylines always ALWAYS play second fiddle to the Gospel messages woven into the plot and the very depths of each character’s arc. When you reach the conclusion, you’ll find yourself screaming at the author: I WANT MORE!
Hopefully Carrie listens. Lionheart Women forever! We want More!

This third and final book in the Dreamwalker series impacts readers on a visceral level.

Awaken will leave you gasping for air and reaching for a rope to catch your freefall from the twists and turns in relationships and the horrors and evils that try to consume mankind.
With nothing left to give Andy and Will continue to persevere against all odds against the evil that is trying to erase God from the hearts and minds of people on its way to controlling the world.
The ultimate realization that this book points us to is we can do nothing on our own, without God we are helpless, and as long as there is breath, there is hope.

4.5 rounded up to 5. This book relies more on the real aspect of the Dreamwalker series than the supernatural. Things are explained that I had questions about, and there is one really big twist (maybe two if you didn’t see the second one coming).

My FAVORITE part was the epilogue. Like what????? Carrie Cotten working her writing magic. I love it!

So this was the last in this series.
I enjoyed it, and especially the Christian content.

However, I have decided...
she ( the author)
must write a sequel...

that picks up
with their twin daughters!!

That is MY story
and I am sticking to it....

Sooooo get busy writing it Carrie!

We readers
( well.....me)

seem to have a big problem with patience... sigh!

Better than any Hollywood action movie!

This series had me hooked from the very first page! If this wasn’t a Christian series, it would be the next big hit Netflix series. The fact that faith and a love of Jesus was threaded through all three books was just incredible. I feel inspired, such faith and bravery under such terrifying circumstances! The lion heart women are a force to be reckoned with! The suspense, I was on the edge of my seat all the way through.

Carrie, I would love more books on Joanne, Will, Annie and Maggie. Or perhaps a prequel where we meet earlier lionhearted women! Please keep writing, this is the kind of book that I have longed to read! I enjoyed every page!

Beautiful

So well written. So much suspense. So many turns and surprises. And yet the ending.... so lovely. I love that she loves Christ. Both the author and Andy. I love that they show the struggle. Because it is. Thank you

great finish!

This was a wonderful series that dives deep into the struggles of life and remembering to rely on God in all things. Such a beautiful wrap up for Andy and Will. Also, a great tie in with the Huntress series that I love sooo much!

So… you know how books usually have an introduction, rising action, climax, falling action, and conclusion? Well, this story had the introduction, climax, climax, climax, and conclusion. lol It felt like this book was the ‘climax’ for the whole series! (Which it essentially is…but I literally I felt like I was barely breathing through this whole book because of the constant action! It was crazy! But so good! A remarkable ending to a good series! Looking forward to the future books connected to this series!

This was a very satisfying conclusion to the Dreamwalker trilogy. I loved the twists and turns this story took, but was still able to bring everything to a close beautifully. The little bread crumbs given at the very end...so good!

This book honestly rewired my brain! My mind was blown 🤯 it feels so strange to make the same mistakes as the characters. When Andy was relying too much on Will’s faith and he screwed up (BIG time) I found myself indignantly saying that “he wouldn’t do that!” So it felt like a punch to the gut when it was revealed that this plot point happened on purpose to showcase Andy’s over reliance on him and his faith. This made me realize once again that people are flawed and God is the only One we can truly put our trust in. The same thing happened when Will realized he had been idolizing his relationship with Andy and she was “his Isaac” (God was asking him to surrender Andy to Him instead of believing that he knew better than God). The ending also felt so well-earned after everything they had been through. My mind is blown! Cannot recommend more!

This third installment in The Dreamwalker series was nonstop action! I enjoyed every page of this book. I liked the overall message of as long as there is life, we have hope. Also, grace and mercy are for everyone. The faith elements in this book were challenging and encouraging.

Andy and Will. I just enjoy them so much. They are put to the test so many times and yet remain faithful to each other. I liked how this series ended. I was kept on my toes throughout this book and I could not wait to find out what happened next. If you like high action, suspense, romance, and faith, this is the book for you!

You won’t want to miss this series!

Superb threads of action (lots), faith, romance and family. Excellence in all aspects! It is so nice to know that I don’t have to be on alert for vulgarity or graphic sexual situations; just ongoing references to our Lord and Savior, perfect!

Ok so I recently lost a very close loved one and Carrie Cotten’s gentle words of faith, hope, grace, believing and forgiveness, truly helped me process some things in my time of struggles. The way that she intertwines her faith throughout the book in some of the characters without making it seem too pushy is so refreshing and Awaken brings home a solid ending and closure for the Dreamwalker Trilogy and the Lionheart Women!

Ahhhh! Will & Andy are back in this explosive finale to the Dreamwalker saga! As with the previous two books, we are plunged into the supernatural world of Andy’s special gift and her ever-faithful protector, Mr. Perfect. But what if Andy doesn’t want to be protected? And what if Will’s need to be the protector, forces him to cross dangerous lines? With twists that keep you guessing, and reminders that God is still sovereign even when all hope is lost, Carrie Cotten brings it home with all the thrill and suspense we have learned to expect!

I made the mistake of reading this after my day was over. The story drew me in so quickly that I lost all concept of time. The characters are well developed and the story was well paced. Its always a win to read a Christian book that doesn't sound preachy. I'd recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading.
