Violet Bloom is a thirty-something woman who discovered her love of writing later in life. It wasn’t until after going to college and receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and working in health care for close to a decade that she realized she had another passion—writing.

Spice with spice and more spice AND I GOOBLED IT UP !!!

Okay so hear me out, this was really good, and really spicy, and really good spice😂 like it has something for everyone, that is a promise, it’s all so well executed by the author and VERY inclusive, in more then one way🫣 no but seriously it had a really good representation which is something a value very much. And this was such a nice easy read with a guaranteed happy ending which made it very enjoyable. I really liked the writing style just as I liked it in A Hate Like This, it’s very easy to forget that your actual reading words on paper and not living in the scene playing out which also makes it a real page turner!

Every story individually was really good and one can choose to read it all in one sitting or read one story for thirteen days, or mix it however you prefer! What I also loved about this was that some of the story’s was new in the sense that I haven’t read anything like it before, the story developments could be something completely new, there’s also a small town story in there, part 2, that I wish was turned into a whole book because that would be AMAZING, I really enjoyed that story. same for part 9, that one was very interesting! Oh and part 8 had the perfect build up!!!

Okay I can seriously go on for ever, so with other words, I really recommend this book!

okay listen if you like to have a quick and good spice read and when I am telling you good spice, i mean lots of spice, you should definitely read this book!!
It contains 13 short stories with different kind of tropes and vibes and a LOT of spice!! (always make sure to check the trigger warnings)

Madeline and Weston were definitely my favourites, not only were both definitely meant for each other but also their connection was absolutly beautiful and had a deeper past!!

However, you need to keep in mind that these 13 short stories are based on spice rather than a plot, but a few parts as for example Madelines and Westons gave in my opinion a good basis for a good story.

This collection of short stories are the perfect combination of all the best steamy tropes! Desire is the perfect name for this book, as it’s the exact book needed to help explore different desires/fantasies/kinks. I found myself enjoying tropes that I would normally steer away from, while not really enjoying the (tamer) tropes I typically go for with romance. There were a few of the stories that were interconnected, within the same world, in which we were introduced to main characters as side characters first, which is something I really enjoy when reading a book series. It’s like getting literary breadcrumbs that you are able to enjoy bit by bit before you get to devour the full story. Desire is defintely a page-turner, but once I got to story 6, I found it exceedingly difficult to put this book down, because I was so eager to read the next story, to discover the next desire to be explored.


I rated this book an overall 5 stars, but also broke down my ratings for each collection based on my interest in the individual story and its trope/tropes (couldn’t help myself):

A great anthology of short stories, there is definitely something for everyone here with themes covering a range of different kinks and tropes! Fab for a bedtime read and discovering what kinks float your boat!
