Note: Uncontrollable is book THREE in The Key West Series by CA Harms. This series is made up of inter-connecting standalones, so I DO recommend you read the books in order. All the characters are present in all the books and we get glimpses of their stories throughout the installments. :) All THREE BOOKS are available on Amazon! Read them for FREE on Kindle Unlimited: http://amzn.to/1F2H3EI

Okay… so about Uncontrollable. Cue fangirling.
Upon finishing Inevitable (book 2) I was SURE that Easton was my favorite male character in The Key West Series. I was SURE. Positive. Yep. He was my man! Or so I thought….because then, I started Uncontrollable and really got to know Kade.

AND BOY, I WAS A GONER.

Kade STOLE MY ENTIRE HEART!!!!! In fact, you can all just call me Mrs. Kade from now on. ;) Sweet baby Jesus! What a phenomenal story! CA Harms’ best book to date!! I cannot express enough how much I loved this book. In fact, I read it in ONE SITTING. I was enthralled from the very first page and my attention did not diminish one bit along the way. I even read in bed!! And if you know me, you know that I can’t ever pull that off. I ALWAYS fall asleep. No matter how good the book is, I ALWAYS fall asleep reading in bed. Well, not with Uncontrollable. It was THAT amazing! It’s by far my FAVORITE CA Harms book! :)

“He’s spent so much time in the darkness, I think he can’t remember what it feels like to be happy.”

CA made my heart ACHE and break quite a few times while reading. Kade had been carrying loads of guilt for so many years that he did not know how to live otherwise. A tragic accident had scarred him beyond words, and had made him want to only exist rather than really live his life. Falling in love was out of the question, and Avery did not make it easy for him to keep that promise to himself. The attraction, sexual tension, and chemistry between Avery and Kade was off the charts! But Kade stuck to just flirting (heavily so!) and nothing else. He could not bring himself to have more with her. He couldn’t. He knew that if he gave into his attraction to Avery, there would be no coming back.

The emotional angst developed in this book was a HUGE plus for me. It kept me on the edge of my seat HOPING for a happy ending, needing Kade to overcome his demons and choose the happiness that he – and Avery – both deserved.

“…living without you isn’t an option.”

Good grief, Kade had me swooning more times than not, and the HOT scenes between him and Avery had me squirming! Wowza! That man. He was so passionate, sexy, alpha…perfect! Now don’t get me wrong….there will be times where Kade will drive you insane. He will piss you off, but be patient with him. Trust me…he makes everything WORTH IT.

Oh, lordy, lord! HEA readers, you need to one-click this third installment in The Key West Series. Really, you MUST. I cannot recommend it highly enough! FIVE STARS!!!!

“She was my angel in the darkness.”

Review by Lisa Kane

CA Harms' writing with The Key West series is consistently entertaining. This latest installment features Kade Thomas and Avery. But of course, Jett and Quinn, Easton and Harper and Jude are still present and accounted for-I love see how previous characters have evolved and what's going on in their lives.

Kade and Avery have shared a mutual attraction for the last year but neither has acted on it. Instead they have both friend zoned the other. Five years ago, a fight led to Kade losing his first love, Jenna, and the blame he lays on his shoulders is a weight he has never been able to escape. He deserves nothing more than the one night stands he allows himself; no decent girl would want anything more with him.

But Avery and Kade give in to their attraction and have one hot, steamy encounter on the hood of Kade's car. Kade pulls a total douche move by refusing to make eye contact with her the whole time they are having sex. She feels used and regrets giving into temptation. Kade could kick himself for letting his fear get in the way of what should have been a wonderful night for them both. He knows he feels much more than friendship for Avery, but his guilt over Jenna's death holds him back.

I felt like an idiot. I walked right into this one and had on one to blame by myself for my disappointment.
I wasn't gonna stick around to get the brush- off. Kade had made it perfectly clear I was only a means of release to him.

Avery avoids Kade like the plague. And her good friends, Quinn, Callie and Harper are ready to do a little damage to some of his body parts for him hurting their girl. As complicated as this all is, it's nothing compared to how messy things are going to get.

"I've missed my friend. I've missed your smile." I leaned in and kissed her, then placed my forehead against hers. "I screwed up, okay? I know that. But over the last few weeks, I've really tried to sort out my mind, and I know I want you. Because living without you isn't an option."

I don't want to spoil this story but I will say that Kade steps up to the plate. There are some unexpected events that are happening and both Kade and Avery will be thrown for a loop. Both of these characters have great qualities to them and have lots of depth to their personalities. The plot is interesting and well developed.

There's a bit of a mystery going on with Jude-why does he always sport so many black eyes and bruises? He makes a nice living working for Jett and yet he always seems to need more money. He and Callie obviously are interested in each other, but neither one wants to be the first to make a move. His story is up next and I can't wait to find out the answers to my questions!

"You ready for this?" he asked.
"Ready for what?"
"For me." He chuckled. "For us."
I nodded enthusiastically, even though he couldn't see. "Kade Thomas, I've been ready for you for a long time. I've just been waiting for you to catch up."

Uncontrollable, book 3 in the Key West Series, will leave you in an Uncontrollable state of emotions! Youll fall through the lows of despair, heartache, loss and devastation while soaring through love, hope, joy an beautiful happiness!
Each time CA Harms releases another Key West book I fall further in love with her writing, her characters and her ability to bring a story to life. Every character is true, likeable and interesting and despite all being standalone novels I love the overlapping of the previous stories and characters.
Uncontrollable gripped me from the beginning, I have literally shut off the world and immersed myself in Kade & Avery's story which led me to devouring the book in a matter of hours, soaking up every single word.
Kade has now well and truly ebbed his way into my heart & soul and is my favourite of the Key West men, which is massive considering I'm massively in love with Jett & Easton.
And to then find out we get Jude's story next made my day! Thank you for this wonderful series CA!!

Grief
Starting Over

High sweethearts usually are the hardest to forget

Avery Nolan’s father has never been a part of her life. As a result, she finds herself becoming a caretaker. Always trying to please other people, willing to tuck her own concerns aside for the happiness of others. She is selfless. She is a nurturer. On the outside, it appears Kade Thomas has it all, but no one can understand the guilt and ache he feels daily. He is haunted by his past. Every time he closes his eyes, he finds himself reliving the same nightmare, over and over again. He blames himself for the loss of Jenna. (Amazon blurb)
A senior who has managed to score the big one during a football game, Kade simply wanted to celebrate the win with his friends. His girlfriend of two years Jenna, whom Kade could see getting married and have kids with, wanted the chick flick evening - only to end up in an argument and a horrific accident. Years later, Kade still has nightmares, refuses to have long term relationships with women, yet Avery fascinates him and makes him question his decision. Part of a trilogy, Uncontrollable is so far the third (I have seen authors deciding to add to their trilogies more novels due to their popularity such as the Crossfire Series from Sylvia Day) and I was not disappointed. We get to see the development from both point of view, from Avery and Kade, which brought me so much entertainment; seriously how many times has Kade's sarcastic replies made me laugh so hard that I had people looking at me as though I lost my mind?! Too many times, and I can't even bring myself to feel humiliated about it, only because C.A. Harms has managed to create a relatable couple with chemistry between them and having to deal with an underlying problem that could be the end before they have a chance to start. How many times have we seen commercials on the television showing us and explaining that falling asleep at the wheel of a car is as dangerous as driving under the influence of alcohol, and yet, so many of us still take the chance of driving when we're tired?!? When reading Uncontrollable, your perspective just might change after spending a few hours with Avery and Kade and having to deal with their grief from an accident many years ago.

"It was the same nightmare I’d been having for years. I had relived that night in my head a million times and woken up in a panicked state, leading to me playing out all the ways I could have made sure it turned out differently."

Kade Thomas has spent most of his adult life regretting one night. The night that his high school sweetheart was killed in a car accident after they'd had a fight.

Avery Nolan is the sunshine, bright light, care taking girl that you can't help but love. She sees something in Kade that she can't give up on. What happens when she finds out that the man she has called Dad had a hand in the night that Kade can't stop reliving?

"Two men I loved were both blaming themselves for something they’d had no control over, and the guilt of Jenna’s death was tearing them apart."

A night of passion. A night where Kade finally let's go and gives in to his desires and allows Avery in ends in a disaster that only Kade can fix.

“It’s time to wake up and stop blaming yourself for things you had no control over,” Harper said. “It’s hard to move past life-changing events. Believe me, I know. But there comes a time when you have to let go of all that anger and blame. The what-ifs will drive you insane, Kade.”

Can Kade let go of the past and fight his demons in order to be the man that Avery deserves? Is Avery strong enough to be there while he fights the battle within himself?

I absolutely love CA Harms books and this book is absolutely no exception. CA Harms writes in such a way that you can't help but to keep going. Her books flow perfectly and have the perfect combination of swoon worthy romance, alpha caveman toughness, and heat. I highly recommend this book, and the rest in the series! I can't wait for Jude's book!!

I was given a copy for an honest review.

Each time a start a new C.A. Harms book I am always blown away, each one better then the last. Uncontrollable was no exception and I was immediately sucked in from page one until the end. Of course I was left wanting more at the end!!

For me this story was a lot more of a roller-coaster ride of emotions. One minute I was laughing and the next I was becoming teary eyed! I absolutley fell in love with Kade and Avery and together...oh man they were amazing! But sometimes things that have happened in the past come back and affect the future! Can they work passed it?

I would without a doubt recommend this story to everyone. It is an awesome story about love and chances, moving on from the past to have a great future! I am dying for Judd's story and can not wait!!!

Uncontrollable by C.A. Harms is the third book in the Key West Series and tells the story of the every intriguing Kade Thomas. Kade Thomas has been a prominent character in the other two books in this series, and as a reader I have always wondering about his story and the guilt that his friends believe that he carries for the death of his high school girlfriend years before. Avery Nolan has watched Kade from afar, slowly loving him but knowing that he had demons that prevented him from being truly happy with his life. Resound to being only his friend, Avery enjoys spending time with Kade, and often wonders if he shares the same feelings for her that she does for him.

Kade Thomas holds himself responsible for the vehicle accident that killed his high school girlfriend so many years before. Not able to let go of the events that took place on the fateful day, Kade has made his life as simple as possible, work at the garage, drink his pain away, and only engage in one night stands. The feelings that Kade begins to develop for Avery scare him, as he doesn't believe he deserves to be happy when Jenna isn't here to experience life anymore because of him.

Avery finally makes a move, taking matters into her own hands, and has sex with Kade, that turns out to be anything but how she envisioned. With the detachment of her friend during the act, Avery second guesses everything she ever felt for him, and decides to only be his friend as it is finally time to let him go from her heart. And just when Avery decides to begin moving on, she gets a surprise she never expected but accepts wholeheartedly all the same.

Will Kade be able to fight through the darkness of his guilt in order to step up and be the man that Avery needs? Or will he succumb to the numbness that he yearns for at the bottom of the bottle? You will have to read the book to find out. This was a 3.5 star read for me and I recommend this series to others as I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I have.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, betrayal, secrets, tragedy, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Unpredictable (Key West #1)
Inevitable (Key West #2)

This is Avery and Kade’s story. Kade and Avery are friends until Kade finds out who her step father is. Kade has always wished he could chance the past. Avery is all about helping everyone and putting herself last. After one night with Kade where is treats her like a whore she is broken. She knows she has to just move on but one thing about that night is about to change everything. Kade knows he treated Avery wrong and is determined to make her understand why he did the things he did. But Avery needs Kade to come to terms with his past before she will allow him back into her life. When tragedy strikes can Avery allow Kade to take care of her and help her deal with her fear and pain? Can Kade overcome the past and be the man Avery needs him to be? Can Avery push him to finally heal from the past and welcome the future?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I love Avery she is selfless. Kade needed to man up and heal which he did just in time to allow Avery to lean on him when she needed someone. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

I have loved every book I've read by C.A. Harms and this one is no different.

Kade and Avery have had an attraction to one another for the last year but what happens when one night they give into that attraction? Can Kade be the man Avery needs or will he disappoint her even more?

Kade is still holding on to what he went through 5 years ago with his first love. After a fight everything changed and he blamed himself even 5 years later. Does he finally learn to let go of the guilt that consumes him or will he always be in that state of limbo and feeling like he doesnt deserve avery and she can do better than him?

Avery is a caretaker. She knows Kade is battling something and after their one night together she avoids him. But fate and life have other plans for them. After Avery finds out about Jenna Kade's ex she tries to help him but he must put the effort forward to want to move on.

Without giving too much away and telling you everything that happens or how it ends I will say Kade does redeem himself and I loved him more when he finally pulled his head out of his ass.

So ready for the next book in this series and get Judd's story and what all the mystery is with him.

I was given this book for a honest review
This series gets better with each book and just when I think C.A Harms has given us her best out comes the next book and I fall further in love with her characters and her writing.
This is book 3 and its Avery and Kade's story, its full of emotions, passion and complications.
This is two broken people coming together as one and putting the past behind them rather than living it each day.
Avery is selfless and wants the best for everyone which is why after one night with Kade she avoids him but fate has a way of bringing people together....
Kade blames himself for the accident that killed his high school sweetheart a few years ago and feels he is not worthy of anyone's love ...
Fate brings these two together for a reason will Kade except the accident wasn't his fault and move on and will Avery realize she sometimes needs to but herself and her feelings first.
There is no doubt that emotions and heartbreak played a big part in this book but I was hooked from page one and read it in one sitting. I think that anyone who starts this series will fall in love with it as I have. Can't wait for Judd's story

I was laughing hysterically on one page, then sobbing two pages later...both were related to the same event that was unfolding...what author has the ability to swing a reader's emotions that far from one end to the other in such a short span? CA Harms certainly does.

From the first page, the reader begins to understand what has driven Kade to his self misery for so many years. It's Avery that brings the incentive to begin his healing process...but it's definitely not in an expected way...this will definitely catch the reader by surprise. Those of us who have been following the series and read Jett and Easton's stories have only been given a glimpse into what Kade had and continues to endure. As the story unfolds, and you find yourself more and more emotionally involved, you will ache, laugh and cry for Kade...but through it all there's Avery.

Next up, Jude...can't wait.

This book was provided by the author as an advanced reader copy, the views expressed above are solely my own and have in no way been influenced by how the book was obtained.

I think I may have given my poor kindle a complex with the way I yelled at it at the end of this book.
This is my favorite series by CA Harms. This book about Kade was truly amazing. This broken man who truly believed he didn't deserve love, took all his broken pieces and fixed them. Because he had a goal that he had. He knew he had to get better or he would loose everything that was important. The story really made me understand that old saying " The bigger they are, the harder they fall". I also loved the friendship between Kade and Jett. Easton is part of their posse. But Kade seemed too be closer to Jett. Jett's no bullshit attitude was tested a lot in this story. BUT he stayed true and made sure Kade understood what was at stake.
Avery was a spit and fire, no wonder she and Harper get along so well, lol. The ride she went on with Kade was a hard and rough on. But she knew he was worth it.

This series just gets better and better with each book. This book will take your emotions on a rollercoaster journey. I have laughed and cried both with happiness and sadness. Kade has suffered a loss so great he now doesn't believe he deserves happiness until the feisty Avery comes into his life. The light to his dark. They have a rocky journey together, can they put aside their pasts? Only one clicking will get you the answers. I love all the friends who we have met in the earlier books, love how their lives are changing and adapting. This series is certainly one of my favourites. I truly love it and happily award it 5 stars~ Rosie

3.5 Avery and Kade Stars

I am enjoying this series but this is probably my least favourite book in it. It is still a good read but I didn't feel the connection between them as strongly as I did the others. A lot happens in this story and it felt a bit rushed in places. I liked Kade in the other books more I think.
It was great to see the others featuring strongly. Jett is still my main man...yummy! Jude is next with Callie who is my favourite female character.

Uncontrollable is the third book in the Key West series from C.A. Harms. Each book can be read as a standalone story with interconnected characters. The Key West series is also a spin-off of her Southern Boys Series, but you do not need to have read those books in order to read these. While it isn't necessary to read these in order since they are standalones, I do think that you get the most enjoyment from the series by reading them in order as each book sets up the next one and you do get to know the characters better that way. Plus these books are just really great stories, and C.A. Harms never disappoints!

Kade and Avery have both been drawn to each other for the past year, though neither of them has acted on it. Kade has a painful past that he has been trying to forget, but he can't seem to let go of. Avery wants to pursue Kade, but she knows that he needs to let go of his past if they ever have a chance at something real together. So when they finally give in to the attraction between them, Avery thinks that things will finally be different. But Kade scared of what his feelings for Avery are becoming, pulls a jerk move that has Avery ready to move on for good. Kade knows that he messed up the second after he does, but he also knows that Avery deserves better than him and anything he can offer. But when the unexpected happens, Kade realizes that it is time to finally grow up and move on once and for all. He knows that it will take everything to win Avery back after how he acted, but will it be too late for him to get another chance with her?

I really liked these two. Avery was sweet and kind, and always looking out for others. She was stuck in an impossible situation here, and yet I thought that she handled it very well. She was so supportive and caring, and that was exactly what Kade needed. Kade had so much pain and guilt, and his anger had been holding back for so long. Avery helped him to see that it was time for him to grow up and that his anger wouldn't change anything. I really enjoyed seeing the man that Kade was able to be once he finally saw the light, and I really admired the man he was underneath it all. He was so full of love and happiness, and it was so refreshing to see a man that was able to turn his life around and really embrace the ones he loved. These two were great together, and I really felt their connection. They had a lot of chemistry as well and were super hot together, but it was their bond that really made these two so special.

My one complaint here was that I felt like the big conflict here was a bit glossed over and things were a bit too easily resolved. Kade had a lot to move on from and make up for, and while I was glad that things ended how they did, I also felt it was a bit unrealistic how quick and easy things changed. I wanted to see a bit more of the recovery for him and really see that things were better, and I felt like it was pretty instant. Not that I didn't love him for changing and becoming better, I guess I just wanted to see more of the whole process. But I loved these two together and I really love this series. I am really excited to read the next book after how things were set up here. Jude is one of those characters that is mostly a mystery, even to his friends, so I am very interested to see more of him and his story. I am a huge C.A. Harms fan, and each new book I read from her just solidifies her spot as one of my favorites. She always writes such wonderful and emotional stories, and I am always looking forward to more from her.

Uncontrollable is the third book in the Key West series by C.A. Harms and it is Kade and Avery's story.

Avery Nolan is a sweet young woman that cares deeply for her friends and family. She is always trying to help everyone. When she meets Kade, she feels an immediate atraction and soon they become friends, although she wants more.
Kade Thomas is a man that lives in a dark place because he blames himself for his high school girlfriend death. When he meets Avery, he feels something he hasn't felt for years, but decides to be only a friend to Avery because he believes she deserves more than he can give her.
When they find that someone from Avery's life is connected to the death of Kade's girlfriend, Kade goes back to his drinking ways and one night between Avery and Kade changes their relationship, driving Avery away.
But something unexpected happens and Kade has to decide if he wants to continue to live with his past demons or to fight them. Will Avery give him a second chance?

Uncontrollable is an awesome book with an amazing and captivating story. It has lots of drama but also laughter and hot scenes. The story hooked me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading.

Avery Nolan is a very strong woman. She is a nurse and a natural caretaker. She loves fiercely and always wants to help people, especially the ones she loves.
Kade Thomas is a troubled man. He lost his girlfriend after they had an argument and blames himself for her death. He falls in ove with Avery but he's afraid of getting attached to someone again. When he finally realizes he can lose the woman he loves, he changes his ways and shows us that he is a very strong alpha male, very possessive and protective.
Loved seeing the gang together. The girls are amazing and I couldn't help but smile when they were together. I really loved Jett's alpha tendencies. He had me laughing.

Again, C.A. Harms wrote and amazing book with a wonderful story and awesome characters. Her writing style is flawless and very easy to read. Can't wait to read Callie and Jude's story!

4 Stars!

I'm really enjoying the Key West Series by C.A. Harms! I love that even though the new stories that are coming out are about the individual characters, we still get updates on the characters that we have already been introduced to in the previous books. It allows us readers to enjoy the new characters while getting a glimpse of the characters we've already fallen in love with!

I have been patiently waiting to read Uncontrollable ever since I read the sneak peek at the end of Inevitable. From the moment I read it, I had to have it! Kade has been dealing with a past that many people didn't know about. The guilt he has been caring around has been all consuming. He has always blamed himself for a tragedy that he still struggles with and is having a hard time trying to overcome his demons. That is, until now.

Avery has always had her eyes set on Kade. She's been drawn to him from the moment she met him. Avery can tell that Kade is holding back; believing that he isn't good enough to have happiness of his own. Avery and Kade have always been good friends, but have never pushed the boundaries even though they both have underlying feelings for one another.

Kade and Avery story was really cute. It was also really sad when it came to Kade's struggles. I loved that no matter what happened, Avery was there for him. There were so many times that I had tears running down my face throughout this story, but there were parts that brought out my smile as well! It's hard to do a full review without giving too much away, but I was so happy for Kade and Avery by the end of the story. I'm glad that we were able to see a lighter and happier side of Kade!

One thing about C.A. Harms is that she definitely keeps you wanting to come back for more! The sneak peek that she leaves us with for Undeniable has me wishing the process of writing a new book was a lot faster!! I can not wait to read Jude's Story! He has always been so mysterious in this series, so I'm looking forward to finding out all his secrets!

Please note this review may contain spoilers.

I'll start by saying that I've read quite a few books from C.A. Harms and have enjoyed them very much, so it pains me to say that I didn't enjoy UNCONTROLLABLE. Having read the previous two books in The Key West series just in the past five months, I was a little concerned when I realised I couldn't remember Kade or Avery.

Kade is haunted by the death of his high school girlfriend, Jenna, who died in a car accident after having an argument with him. He's spent the years since the accident weighed down by anger, grief and guilt, using alcohol to numb his emotions. He and Avery have been flirting with each other for a year when he learns of Avery's connection to Jenna's death. This, along with an emotionless sexual encounter with her, sends him spiralling again. Avery stands up for herself and I loved that she didn't back down until she was certain Kade was in a better emotional state.

From memory, I wouldn't class the previous two books in this series as novellas, but I would class UNCONTROLLABLE as one as it only took two hours to finish. The story itself moved way too fast and I felt no connection between Kade and Avery at all. I felt like I got mental whiplash from how fast the story moved and from how quickly the characters' emotions did complete 180s. While I don't really expect mystery or intrigue with this kind of story, I was a little disappointed that apart from one event, everything else that happened I could see coming a mile away.

UNCONTROLLABLE is told in dual POVs and we got a sneak peak at Jude's story, which I will say sounds really interesting. So while I didn't like this story, I'm not going to let one bad apple ruin the bunch and I will continue with the series.

Uncontrollable, book 3 in the Key West Series is another great book in this series by the author. It covers a range of emotions that will bring you a wellspring of of feelings-anywhere from happiness to the depth of despair. This is Avery and Kade’s story we get to read about this time. Avery and Kade are fantastic friends until Kade finds out who her step father is and he quits being her friend. Avery is the sweetest person you could meet and would give you the shirt off her back, that is the type of person she is. She knows Kade has issues and she wants to help fix him and make him whole, for Kade believes he is broken but she never realizes in her mind how bad things were. Kade has always blamed himself for a tragedy and still cares around the guilt and the demons haunt him daily.
Problem is, Avery has always had a thing for Kade. She really cares so much for him yet she doesn’t get back the same feelings she gives forth. One night with him ,a night that starts off so perfect and he ends up treating her like she is nothing but a two bit whore. Something she did NOT deserve. My heart was breaking for them both, all due to the demons he is fighting. There are many up and down moments between the two, and there are twists and turns that you did not see coming but by the end of this beautifully written story, you are left sighing and holding a box of tissues wishing you had more time with Kade and Avery. Their stormy romance , his realizing who is true love is and their road to happiness and to each other was fantastic. I loved the path they took to each other. I highly recommend this story.

description

Letting go of the past was the only way….

Avery Nolan had loved Kade Thomas for a long time. They were both part of a circle of family and friends that had them crossing paths for years before Kade suddenly saw Avery in a different light.

“My gosh, you two, just give in already. The heat between you guys is stifling.”

Not realizing that their pasts interconnected in a tragedy that affected him to this day, they finally came together. Unfortunately, it was not so easy for Kade to look into the future. Realizing that his behaviour was going to cause him to lose Avery, Kade had to make changes or he was going to lose it all.

This is the third book in the series and I was really looking forward to Avery and Kade’s story. I liked Avery. She wasn’t going to settle for less than she deserved so was not afraid to walk away from Kade – even if that was the last thing she wanted to do. Kade was completely tied up events of the past, I mean really floundering in guilt to the detriment of any relationship he has ever started. The funny and supportive friends and family are the mainstay to the series and had a wonderful outing here as well. The ending felt abrupt to me but it didn’t take away what really was an emotional and satisfying read.

There’s a glimpse into Jude’s story which I cannot wait for!

Oh, and this? This just made me laugh out loud…

5 Stars!

I love this series. I love this author. Everything about this series screams passion, intensity and forever love. Each book is a standalone but I recommended reading in order for back stories as the characters blend from book to book. This author has a great knack for creating a long-lasting, deep, and emotional love story that will speak deep in your soul and make your heart happy.

I loved this book. This is probably the best in this series in my opinion. In this book, we finally get the Kade and Avery story. Two broken people, in their own ways, looking for forgiveness and healing. Two people who deserve happiness with each other. This book was intense and kept me on my toes. I devoured this book whole and it stayed with me long after the pages quit turning.

This is Avery and Kade's story. Their story is full of passion, steam, complications, intensity, and unforgettable moments. Kade and Avery have always been "just" friends. But when the lines become blurred, boundaries cross, and the past comes creeping back in, Kade and Avery will have to find out if they are strong enough to fight for the future and each other. Will they find a happy ending?

I highly recommend this book.

This latest book in the series is Kade and Averys story.
Kade and Avery are friens though they attracted to each other they haven’t took it any further.Kade is haunted by a tragedy,he lost his girlfriend Jenna and it haunts him everyday of his life, the guilt ,the pain and sorrow,he feels he doesn’t deserve to find love and happiness so all he will allow himself are one night stands. When Kade and Avery can longer deny the passion between them they give into their desires but it doesn’t go as Avery had hoped and she regrets it.Kade feels guilty for the way he treated her.Avery knows Kade is battling his demons and after the night they had she avoids him. When she finally finds out about the past she vows to help him but does Kade want to be helped? Can he deal with past.put the demons to rest and maybe have a future with Avery?
I love all of CA Harms books each one has me hooked from the first few pages. Her writing is always flawless with the right mix of passion, romance ,emotional angst and heartbreak once you start these books you wont want to put it down.cant wait for the nextbook in theis brilliant series.

Favorite Quotes:

“I loved finding ways to make her smile, because her smile makes my heart feel like it’s been jump-started.”

“I have every intention of consummating the hell out of my marriage at least twice before we make it to the reception.”

“‘Table sex.’ Then a thought occurred to me. ‘You are going to bleach said table when you get home, right?’”

“Kade Thomas, I’ve been ready for you for a long time. I’ve just been waiting for you to catch up.”

My Review:

Uncontrollable is a more intense and angsty read than the previous books, due to the tragic history of the main character who appears to suffer from PTSD and nightmares. But I felt the full range of emotions as there was also humor, steam, and banter between these interesting, likable, and varied characters. Despite the angst, I continue to find Ms. Harm’s story-line to be enjoyable and entertaining.
