1. Keep things platonic 2. Tell no one 3. No fantasizing about your fake girlfriend
Lucas Wolfe has spent his life trying and failing to live up to his father's impossible standards. When an opportunity arises to finally get out from under the old man's thumb, Luke jumps at the chance to land the account of a lifetime. There's just one problem. The potential client's wife has taken a liking to Luke and won't take no for an answer.
Solution: Invent a fake girlfriend. He just needs to find a woman who'll pretend to be his girlfriend long enough to get the client to sign on the dotted line. He's even found the perfect woman for the job in local coffee shop owner Piper Brooks.
Piper agrees to Luke's scheme on one condition: He has to help her make her coffee shop a success. Should be easy, right?
But when their fake relationship leads them to an island getaway, will Luke and Piper remember the most important rule of fake dating?
What happens when a fake romance starts to feel all too real?
This is the first book in an all-new series of steamy rom-coms from Isla Drake. Come along to the tiny town of Peach Tree, Georgia and follow a new set of characters as they navigate the perils of dating and falling in love. And of course, have lots of steamy fun along the way! Each book can be read as a standalone, but characters overlap among the books of the series.
This book contains detailed sexual situations not suitable for all readers. 18+ readers only
I received a copy of this book as an ARC and honestly didn't know what to expect as this was my first book by Ms. Drake. Let’s just say I loved it from the dedication all the way to the end and can’t wait to read more by her! My Fake Forever has just the right amount of angst (not too much but also not too little), some laugh out loud moments and yes, it’s a slow burn but the spice was placed at the right time to really build the characters and let us get to know them while they got to know each other. I loved that both Luke and Piper are strong, independent people and never lost that as they navigated their way together. I can’t wait for the next book so we can get to know Hannah and Lincoln’s story!!
This is the first book by Isla Drake I have read but it will not be my last. Thanks to tiktok I have found a new author to read. I really enjoyed these characters. Piper's coffee shop is struggling is a small town where she's considered an outsider since she's new to town. Luke is stuck working for his horrible father. When a business deal is on the line these two agree to help each other out. While this book is a slow burn, the wait is worth it 🥵 Looking forward to reading the next in the series.
My Fake Forever by Isla Drake was a fun, sweet romance. The main characters Piper and Luke have great chemistry from the beginning. Supporting characters were also given likable personalities and were set up for future story telling that I am personally looking forward to. This was a slow burn but the pay off was incredibly rewarding. This was an entertaining quick read; perfect if you’re looking for a lighter hearted story. Great amount of spice with a satisfactory buildup. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for sweet and spice this summer.
I received a free ARC for my honest opinion. It is a slow burn but that gives you plenty of time to get invested into these two. Piper is struggling to get customers in her coffee shop and Luke is struggling to break free from tyrannical father. The author gives you plenty of insight into both characters by giving them each their POV chapters. Wholesome but HOT. Glad a took a break from my current regular reads and went back to regular boy meets girl, boy screws up, boy needs help, girl gets embarrassed, boy has to go big or go home.
DNF at 60%. It’s fine but I’m bored. I don’t understand why they aren’t real dating. She supposedly doesn’t have time to real date him but he’s admitted he’s interested and no movement. Add to that, she had time to go on a one-week vacation with him. But no time to real date!?
I received the ARC for this, new to her writing. I am usually not one for a slow burn, but I didn’t want to stop reading this one! This was a fun “fake relationship“ read with a touch of spice. I was hopeful this was only the beginning for this small town, and I am excited to see what comes out of Peach Tree next.
I enjoyed the writing and will be reading more by this author.
And if you don’t already know about it, go look up the water tower…
Absolutely loved reading My Fave Forever. I received this ARC for free for my honest review. The main characters Piper and Luke are the cutest. You get to know both of them and see the story unfold from both viewpoints. This is a slow burn with the perfect amount of spice. It is a perfect quick read that you won’t want to put down. This is one of the few books I have read from Mrs. Drake and it’s easy to say I’ll be back to read more. I can’t wait to step back into the world of Peach Tree and where the story goes.
I received this book as an ARC reader. I really enjoyed this book it was a slow burn but the characters are relatable. My one slight complaint with this book is that I feel like I’m thrown into the characters with little to no explanation on background or why they do things and some things still don’t get fully clarified. It doesn’t take away from the story though. Luke and Piper had great chemistry and the side characters fit well with the dynamic. The end was cuuute.
This book was so good, I could not put it down. I have absolutely fallen in love with slow burn contemporary romances and this book did not disappoint, it has a couple great tropes: fake dating and one bed. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.
I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This was my 1st Isla Drake book.
This is a slow burn romance, but it hooked me from the beginning, they way Luke and Piper are written makes you fall in the with them And root for them throughout the book.
This is a dual POV, but very well written to see each side of the stories from each character. I couldn't put this book down! Can't wait for the next book!
genre: small town romance, fake dating, forced proximity pov: dual pov ♡ triggers: none main characters: Piper (28) & Luke (29)

After moving to Peach Tree to open up her dream coffee shop Piper is struggling with convincing the stubborn town to try out her coffee. But she isn't willing to give up yet.
Luke has to convince a billionaire to invest into his father's business to be free to finally venture out on his own. During the meeting he realizes that it is going to be more difficult to close this deal than he thought. When the investor's wife shows interest in him he blurts out that he has a girlfriend and is about to get engaged.
Now he has to find someone to play his girlfriend to get the deal. Is Piper, the coffee shop owner he stood up a few weeks ago the perfect candidate?
My fake forever has a hot and sweet businessman, a sunshine coffee shop owner, lots of tension, banter, small town vibes, and a week on an island with one bed to share !

“Pretending I can’t keep my hands off you?” he says. “That won’t be difficult.”
I absolutely love fake dating with dual pov. Them trying to convince themselves that it is just pretend and then finally breaking and admitting they want each other always gets to me.
"Piper: Huff? Luke: Short for Hufflepuff. You’re definitely a Hufflepuff."
Ahh when he calls her by a unique nickname >>

This is my first book by Isla Drake and I'm hooked. I can't wait for Harlow's book, I loved her interactions with Linc. And he's a single dad !!! I'm already sold. I really enjoyed the characters and her writing style.
My fake forever was an amazing small town romcom! It is fun, flirty, swoon worthy and heartwarming!
What a sweet book. I don't usually like a slow burn, and this book had me on edge for a very long time waiting for Luke and Piper to realize that they had true feelings for each other. They meet on a dating app, but when they finally make a plan to meet Luke's sister goes into the labor and he cancels last minute. As guys do he doesn't go into detail, so Piper feels rejected enough to delete the app all together. Until Luke puts his foot in his mouth and states he has a girlfriend to get his newest clients wife off his scent, does he end up looking Piper up. Discovering that her new coffee shop is having trouble getting people in the door, Luke proposes a plan to help them both. Piper pretends to be madly in love with him, while he uses his marketing genius to boost Piping Hot Brews sales. However when one or two dinners turns in to a week long trip to Tybee Island, the small kisses and affection just boil over. The waiting was worth it on this one, because they seriously exploded. Their first time was so hot, I blushed. That doesn't usually happen to me anymore, I have read enough romance novels.
This book was perfect for a nice, easy beach read. There were some insecurities that you had to deal with each character but there wasn't any angst that would leave you devastated with a book hangover. The writing was good enough that I could stay entertained, but if I needed to put the book down to deal with other things I could come right back and fall right back into the world. The ending was so satisfying that I left the world of Peach Tree feeling light hearted and happy for the main characters. I even found myself hoping for more books, because the side characters were that amazing.
I received an advanced copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion, review, and rating.
My Fake Forever follows the story of Luke and Piper, two single twenty-somethings on the east coast of Georgia who almost missed their shot together. This is a quick read at just under 300 pages. I like to think of this book as a spicy Hallmark movie.
If you’re from the south, please note that the town discussed, Peach Tree, is a fictional town and not Peachtree City, which is a real city in Georgia. I had a hard time suspending belief that Luke was driving 4 hours to get coffee before I read the information that stated it was a fictional town.
Isla Drake does a really nice job building characters and continuing their development throughout the story. She really made me hate Charles Wolfe from the start and just when I thought I was done with reading about him, he comes back in a WHOPPING way. Her portrayal of all the characters makes me feel like I know them better. The whole book isn’t just about Luke and Piper; it gives glimpses into the others in their life - Harlow, Cole, Lincoln, and Layna.
I like how she gave a backstory before getting into how Piper and Luke meet. The WHY is something that a lot of authors in the romance genre seem to fall short on, but this story made me feel like I understood why and how they ended up in the same book.
How she wrote about Piper and Luke building this relationship when they’re at the beach house is extremely realistic in regard to friends flirting and setting boundaries. The spicy scenes are *chef’s kiss*. Not too much and not too little. Lots of good visuals presented.
Overall, this is a good slow burn book and the storytelling makes you want to root for Piper and Luke. 4.5/5 stars.
*I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
Piper and Luke had great chemistry to start. This was a great, easy read. Piper moves to a small town with a great water tower but has some trouble with the locals welcoming her new business. Luke works for a marketing company under his awful father. Piper and Luke come to an agreement where they’ll help each other. They pretend to be in a relationship in order to gain a man named Art, a wealthy client for Luke and his career. He will, in turn, help Piping Hot Brews, which is her coffee shop.
Great book, great ending. Isla set up the characters and the story line so all the characters in the story have a potential storyline and potentially three books.

This is my first read of a book by Isla Drake and I have become a fan. I received a free advance copy in exchange for an honest review and I recommend this book. Its not as spicy as some of the books I have read lately, but it was honestly a little refreshing, a great palette cleanser I didn't know i needed. It had well-rounded story lines with a lot of detail but not so many details that you try to rush through it. Fell in love with both main characters who both deserve happiness with each other. I was hooked after 2 chapters and read it in 2 days. Stayed up extra late just because i couldn't put it down. Give it a read and you won't be disappointed.
Talk about a Slow Burn!! My Fake Forever took me a little to get into because there was necessary information that you needed to know before getting to the good stuff. Isla Drake acknowledges that she didn't intend for this one to become a slow burn but what she did with this book is fantastic. There were many laughs, almost a tear or two, and heat!! While I prefer to read books that have a bit more spice to them this one did not disappoint. I had no idea this would lead into other books when I first read it which is kind of a bummer, only because I now have to wait to see where Isla goes with these characters that I have fallen in love with and can relate to on several levels.
I received and ARC of My Fake Forever and I'm going to start this off by saying, I'm generally not a person that enjoys a slow burn romance. It's just never been my thing. That being said, Isla Drake did it RIGHT! This book had me hooked from the beginning. These characters are so fun and the banter is written beautifully! Their slow romance is perfect and beautiful to watch happen, and when things get going to spicy town... DAMN! Isla Drake knows what she's talking about when she said it was worth the wait. It was a slow burn romance but with how it's written it really doesn't feel like a slow burn. Its fun and quirky and has a found family element to it that I loved. It was the perfect slow burn rom-com that I needed.
This was the first book I've read by Isla and I can't wait to read more. This book builds up the tension between Luke and Piper until you feel like you're going to explode and that's just what happens to when the two of them make it to the bedroom. The story line is fun and keeps you right at the edge of your seat wondering and hoping that they go from the fake relationship to making forever real.
I loved this book! I have loved everything I’ve read by Isla Drake (also, Mary Wallace). Her previous books have been very entertaining, and sexy. She has a way of letting you know the entire family, and leaves you wanting more. I mean, you KNOW these people and are so happy when it all works out. Cool thing- I knew one of the main characters of MFF! He was a minor actor in a previous book! My Fake Forever goes way beyond sexy! This read is hot!!! The buildup just held me in place, waiting for the big bang, if you’ll pardon the pun! And, man, it was so worth the wait! Definitely eligible for rereading! Isla has gone from very talented to superb in just a few books. It’s gonna be tough waiting for the next book in this series. She has set the bar for sexy romances very, very high!
This was my first Isla Drake book and I was not disappointed. Luke and Pipers story is a slow burn but man those spicy scenes were worth the wait. This was my first small town rom com and I loved it! Can't wait to keep reading this series (but each book is a stand alone) So excited I was given the chance to read this ARC ❤
I received an ARC copy. I hadn't read anything by this author, but I will be going through my kindle unlimited and reading more. I started it on my last break of the day at work and didn't want to put it down. So after work I sat and read inbetween trying to cook dinner and eating. No part of me wanted to put this down, I love how its cheesy romance but not too much that you're bored. I loved it.
Stumbled on Isla Drake on TikTok, and I love finding new-to-me authors. My Fake Forever is a fun read with relatable characters, a storyline with a nice pace to it, and a slow-burn romance that really delivers! Luke and Piper are great together and do exactly what you want a female and male lead in a romance to do for each other. Can't wait to see what else Peach Tree and this author have to offer!
I received an ARC copy for an honest review. This is my first book by Isla Drake and I'm hooked! This was a story about Piper who really wants to live the small town life and has opened her own coffe shop. However, the small town folks are not buying what she has to sell. She quickly makes a friend in Harlow, the small town beautician. Luke is from the small town, but is now a big shot marketing guy in the city. He works for his father and needs to prove himself by landing a big deal. Enter, the proposition for Piper to be his fake girlfriend. This is a slow burn, small town, fun, steamy book. Highly recommend you check it out!
I received this book as an ARC after coming across Isla on Tiktok and I was not disappointed! Fake Dating ✅️ Slow Burn ✅️ Spicy ✅️ All the great tropes and all the great characters. I can't wait to read the next installments!
I received this ARC for an honest review. Honestly, I went into this book blind and it was deliciously good. This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I can’t wait to read more from her! It is a slow burn which I tend to steer away from BUT it was completely worth it. It was witty, sexy, and had all the swoon. Luke and Piper are a perfect pair and their journey was so fun to read. Also, I think we all need a best friend like Harlow!
I received this as an arc and let me tell you it did not disappoint! I can not wait to read more from ms. Drake
“When we’re together like this, I want all of you here with me” “Say it. Piper. Say you understand” “I understand” I whisper “Good girl” …. Now, tell me what you want” 🥵
I received this as a free ARC read for my honest opinion.
This is the first book I have ever read from Mr. Drake but it will not be the last. My Fake Forever is based off Piper and Luke’s story that starts off as a slow burn that turns into an inferno later on in the book. This is a great small town love story that sucks you in and makes you want to keep reading.
