Jayden, my new roommate. Confident. Sexy as hell. Dimples to die for.
Me? Apparently not as straight as I thought I was.
One night, after accidentally peeking on Jayden completely naked on his bed and pleasuring himself, something stirs inside me. I want him. I need him to touch me like that. And it seems he wants me too.
But what starts as simple lust turns into something unexpected and I'm finding myself falling for my roommate.
Falling for my Roommate is a roommates-to-lovers gay awakening erotic romance with a guaranteed happy ending. It's Book 1 in Falling Series and a standalone novel. The book contains sexually explicit scenes meant for mature audiences only.
If this had been given the grammar check it needed before publication it would be a 5 star read. Even with the flaws of incomplete sentences and format, it's a very good story for the relatively short length.
Levi, the main character whose perspective readers are in throughout, is nicely developed with insights into his work/personal life before Jayden doing well to set the stage without taking too much of the story's focus. We don't get similar development on Jayden's character, but there is enough put into him and Levi's perspective of him that their relationship reads as authentic. It doesn't have a forced or instalove/lust feel like some others I have read along these themes and I applaud it for that. There's a real effort here to tell a romantic story and that's why I wish so much that it had been properly edited. Extending it to include Jayden's perspective for a longer, more complete story would have also been nice, but I'm a fan of shorter reads to help me meet my reading goals and this one is pretty satisfying as it is. It fleshes out the title very nicely to show "straight" Levi falling in curiosity, lust then love with his new roommate Jayden. A very nice find on KU and I look forward to reading more from this author.
This delicious quick read is hot! Levi is bored with his job and sex life. He's worked at the same job for a while and was going to parties, booking up with women just wasn't doing it for him anymore. Being a little strapped for cash, he gets a roommate. Jayden is sex on legs and soon Levi is dreaming and thinking about his new friend. After watching Jayden one night, Levi is open to experimenting with men.
For me it’s a good comfort book. Low or no angst, spicy scenes and some basic background information about the characters. Not too much but I can imagine them and their situation.
This specific novel was a nice read and gave me what I wanted and expected. For me it’s a good book and will keep reading the next one too.
The only (2) complaints I have is that, 1) the winking (ughhh) and 2) the shortness. If it was a proper novel it would have been everything I like: roommates, a bit of flirting, hot sex, a new gay discovering the pleasure of gay sex, 2 cute guys liking each other and not promiscuous, etc.
A deliciously sexy but way too short story. Levi, who thought he was straight, needs a roommate. Jayden, who's gay, moves in and the fun, uncertainty, and questions begin. A good tale, sweet read, and sadly over too soon.
DNF at 53%. Just can’t take any more of the typos, missing words, wrong word usage/homonyms, poor and awkward sentence structure, stiff dialogue, and lack of any chemistry between anyone at all. If it were just an occasional or silly mistake I’d be able to read past it, but we’re talking about “hit by lighting” (lightning) and “take my find off it” (mind). It feels like AI wrote this in English, translated to another language, then back to English. Was this written as a joke? That’d make more sense. Bad writing by every metric. I was expecting trashy but this is just plain stupid. Honestly embarrassing but I have to mark it as read so that I know when I see the author’s name again to not bother even if it’s free.
The one negative to this book? The large number of typos. I understand a few, but this was over the top and a bit distracting to read if I'm honest. The story was good - a bit simple maybe, but still enjoyable. Two new roommates - one gay and the other "straight" - find themselves being attracted to one another. Bi-awakening Roommates to lovers
Levi needs a roommate but is a little picky until, Jayden answers his ad. With Jayden at his door, Levi is awe struck. Together they are roommates with benefits but it turns into more and they both like it.
I enjoyed this so much! I wished the story could have continued for a bit longer. Prior to this book, I had never read anything by this author but now I'm eager to. Although it could have benefited from further editing, I wasn't at all distracted by it. The bond between Levi and Jayden is incredible. I enjoyed reading their sweet and extremely sexual story.
