This was an interesting cookbook. The author provides an education on Jamaican cuisine - with a strong focus on Rastafarian ital vegan cooking. I appreciated the insight and the history and presentation of the recipes, but I think Marissa Thompson’s “Motherland” Jamaican cookbook might have more hits in it for my family’s taste. That is not a knock on this book - I think there is a lot to learn and eat in here especially if one is vegan, vegetarian, or pescatarian.
