This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it very much. Mindy Obenhaus includes some pretty powerful themes of forgiveness and redemption. Sometimes it’s hard to show people how sorry you are for past problems. But when we put Christ first in our lives, He leads the way! There was also included here a pretty wonderful surprise. Well done!

My thanks to the author for a copy of this book. The opinion here is my own.

The Cowgirl’s Redemption is a sweet and heartfelt start to a new series set in Hope Crossing, Texas. I really felt for Gloriana as she returned home and attempted to apologize to those she had wronged in the past, while also working to take care of her mother as she recovered from surgery. It was painful to watch as her apologies were ignored by some and doubted by others. Yet, Gloriana truly had changed thanks to the power of giving her heart to the Lord. Her actions and the way she treated others proved her sincerity.

The romance that bloomed between Justin and Gloriana was really beautiful. There were a few moments that made my heart hurt for both of them, but I appreciated the actions they took to make things right. I’m really excited to read more books in this series and revisit the characters that were introduced in this story, too.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

What a sweet story about second chances, redemption, family, love and trusting the Lord. I love how Obenhaus doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to her faith thread. But I think what I loved more was Gloriana’s story. She admittedly ran away from God, even after growing up in the church. She didn’t come back immediately, it took time. I think that’s such a great reminder for us as we watch our loved ones do something similar. Like the prodigal son (only not so severe). Don’t ever stop praying for them – one day they may come back.

Obenhaus also knows how to write a story and setting that really pulls you in. The cowboy, the rodeo, the small town. I wanted to jump right in and become part of the story – which luckily because Obenhaus has such a beautiful writing style, I felt like I was. I think cowboy, romance, and Love Inspired fans alike will really enjoy the heartwarming story.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A moving story of personal and spiritual growth, coming home, and finding true joy . . .

I have had the pleasure of reading several of Author Mindy Obenhaus's previous Love Inspired inspirational romance novels. 'The Cowgirl's Redemption' is one of my favorite of the author's books because of the main character, Gloriana Prescott.

Simply stated, as a teen Gloriana was a young woman who was self-centered who acted without a care or concern for how her behavior would affect her family, friends, or community. Now she is in her early to mid-thirties, and she has definitely changed. She is a new Christian who has a sincere desire to make things right with her family and her hometown of Hope Crossing, Texas. She is a successful broadcast journalist in Nashville when she decides to head home to take care of her ailing mother.

As Gloriana attempts to make amends with some particular individuals from her past, her apologies are met with skepticism, rudeness, and hurtful words. She didn't expect her mission to gain their forgiveness to be easy, but their attitudes and reactions toward her efforts hurt—a lot.

Unexpected events happen, as they always do in this author's stories, and Gloriana's heart and life are opened up to new possibilities that she could not have imagined in a million years.

With a strong cast of supporting characters, this book is filled with faith, love, and forgiveness. The book is completely clean in language and content.

I received a copy of this book from the author as a member of her launch team. All of my opinions and thoughts expressed here are solely my own.

The Cowgirl's Redemption is the first book in
Hope Crossing Series that is written by Mindy Obenhaus. I’m a huge fan of this author. This is a wonderful story. It’s a story of second chances, redemption, and family. Gloriana Prescott has returned to her Texas hometown to make amends. She knows that she may not be welcomed back with open arms. She comes home to assist her mother who has cancer. Gloriana has a new relationship with Jesus and knows that some that she wronged won’t be quick to forgive her.
Her mothers ranch manager,Justin has a teenage daughter. He wants to save the rodeo so that his daughter can compete. I felt the romance built at a comfortable pace. Justin had some hurt from his past.
As always the author did a wonderful job writing this story. This is a contemporary Love Inspired book with a great amount of faith and romance. I loved every bit of it. I can’t wait until the next story.
Thank you to the author, publisher and JustRead Publicity Tours for allowing me to read a copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

I am a fan of books by this author. This novel is about a wayward daughter changing her ways and coming home to help her mother who has cancer. She is hoping to show everyone how she has changed from her wild ways to a more calm and faith filled person. There is a great human element to the plot. It has several romantic relationships in it which are what I would call second chance romances. I really enjoyed how the two main characters initially combat with each other. It makes the story more interesting and it also makes it so you are wondering when that will change. This novel also handles the idea of being a new person in Christ so well. I love that theme in the book along with the theme of forgiveness.

THE COWGIRL’S REDEMPTION by Mindy Obenhaus is the story of Gloriana Prescott as she returns to her home town of Hope Crossing to take care of her Mom after hears through the grapevine of her cancer. A changed woman from the young girl that couldn’t get out of her small town fast enough some years back, she’s hoping to make amends for wrongs, to rebuild a relationship with her family, and figure out where her life is going next since she quit the high powered job she’d work so hard to get in order to do what she felt she needed to do in her heart - come home.

Having found true faith, she’s determined to become the person she needs to be. In order to do that, she feels the need to find several people in town and apologize for things she uncaringly did in the past. As she figured, she’s met with refusal to accept that she’s changed and bitterness, but she’s determined not to be swayed. She will just have to prove to them that she isn’t the old Gloriana. After hearing about the current state of affair of the Hope Crossing Fair & Rodeo with the low attendance, cancellation of some of the major events and lack of revenue threatening to close its doors, Gloriana is determined to do all she can to save it. Clay Gibbons, rodeo champ, was the original owner and organizer with the goal to give kids in rural communities a chance to test their skills. Gloriana was one of the kids who he nurtured. Through his advice, hard work and determination she had become an award winning barrel racer. Her time with Clay and the rodeo are some of her happiest memories.

Gloriana butts heads with the Prescott Farms manager, Justin Broussard, from the first day she arrived. The one thing they agree on is that the rodeo needs to succeed. Justin’s teenage daughter, Kyleigh, has an interest in barrel racing and Gloriana sees talent and a little bit of herself in her. Justin will do anything to make his daughter happy. Even working with Gloriana to bring the rodeo back to some of its former glory to enable the rodeo to continue for years to come.

Will Gloriana’s past job experience give her the knowledge to pull off the promotions needed to make this year’s rodeo a success with high attendance and a large revenue? Will big name friends help draw in enough people to make it profitable? Can Gloriana find the close family connection she’s been longing for? Will the townsfolk see all her hard work and begin to see her through new eyes? Will Kyleigh find a new friend in Gloriana and convince her to help coach her in barrel racing? After having their heart broken in the past (Gloriana when her husband walked out and Jason when his wife died), can they find the faith to open their heart to the thought of new love? Or will a bumpy ride have them doubting themselves and closing it off? When secrets are revealed, will it make them stronger or drive them apart? Where will Gloriana’s search for a job take her? Will Gloriana find that maybe what she’s been looking for all these years might actually be right back in her home town?

THE COWGIRL’S REDEMPTION is the fabulous uplifting story of faith, forgiveness and hope. From the first page to the last, you will be captivated by Gloriana and Justin’s story. Mindy Obenhause manages to pull out all your emotions in this delightful story that will have you feeling sad, happy, anger, joy, giddy, warmth, despair, compassion, heartache, hope and love. The thread of faith in the story reminds us that God forgives us of our wrong doings. In return to fulfill our part we must forgive those that have done us wrong and also ask forgiveness of those we might have harmed along life’s way. In doing so, we intensify our faith and our understanding of God’s forgiveness. I’m excited that this is just the first book in this series as I can see lots of possibilities of books with the other characters. I, for one, will definitely be watching for them! THE COWGIRL’S REDEMPTION is definitely a FIVE STAR read and I highly recommend it.

While I was furnished a copy of this book by the author, I was not requested or required to give a review. All opinions are completely my own.

I liked that this was a second chance story. I liked that she knew it would be hard coming back to her hometown because of how she treated people but she was willing to so people that she had changed and to make it up to them. I liked the little surprises that were in this story and seeing people have to learn to trust her. I also liked the little romances that were in the story and how those played out. Overall, I enjoyed this book and would love to read more stories set in this town.

I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors.  A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

The Cowgirl’s Redemption by Mindy Obenhaus is book #1 of her new series Hope’s Crossing. Gloriana Prescott has come home to help take care of her mom as she goes through cancer. She left Hope’s Crossing the first chance she could get and hasn’t been back. All that’s changed now that she’s found Jesus. She has a lot of folks to apologize to, but are they quite ready to forgive her? Justin Broussard is Prescott Farm’s (Gloriana’s family’s farm) ranch manager. His daughter Kyleigh is hoping to compete in her first rodeo later that year. Hopefully, it won’t be the last one. The rodeo has been struggling the last few years and it’s up to a few volunteers aka Justin to help think of ways to save it. Gloriana jumps on board to help save the rodeo that she use to compete in as a teen. Will their efforts be enough to help? Along the way, will they learn to trust one another and trust their own hearts as well? I hope read the book to find out!
I absolutely adore Hope’s Crossing. I want to move right in. I love small Texas towns. I’d be so happy there. I just know it. Gloriana really impressed me. She found Jesus and she started to live the life. It takes a big person to apologize for past wrongs and she did it sincerely. One of my favorite quotes from the book is near the end. Gloriana says, “There’s something I forgot to tell you.” “What’s that?” Her expression softened. “I forgive you.” It was such a profound moment in the book. Of course, I think I was crying tears of every kind of emotion from that moment on. Well, maybe not angry tears. I think I cried all the way to the epilogue and continued to cry until the very end. It was such a beautiful story about forgiveness, finding love again, and going home. I was given a book by the author, but all opinions are my very own!

This is a sweet, thoughtful story about Gloriana, a young woman who has made many mistakes in her life. She’s found new life in Christ; and has now returned home to not only care for her mother, but to try to make amends to those she has hurt in the past. Gloriana walked away from a successful career as a TV newscaster in order to be with her mother, but she’s finding that people are still suspicious of her motives.

As she comes to realize that home is where she belongs, she also discovers that she cares deeply for Justin, her mother’s ranch manager, and his daughter, Kyleigh. Gloriana has a long way to go to earn the trust of her friends and family, but God has blessings in store for her that surpass anything she could imagine.

Redemption is the theme that’s at the heart of this story. There’s a good lesson in this story about asking for forgiveness and walking in God’s love towards others. But the greater lesson for us, as the reader, is that we should be willing to extend forgiveness to others, also.

I voluntarily received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This book was a wonderfully written faith based romance. Turning over your problems and concerns over to Him will lead you on a path that you may not expect.

This is written in a dual POV format. I love getting a glimpse into the character's thoughts. Getting their reaction to a scene really helps me to better understand and connect to them.

The plot of the book was a smooth flowing one that caused page after page to just weave its magically touch and take me away from reality for a little while.

I can't wait for more books set in this delightful location. In fact, I'm hoping it continues for some time! The secondary characters created a enchanting back drop in this story.

I highly recommend this story to anyone. At the one point, I did need to wipe tears from my eyes so you may want to keep the tissues handy.

Thank you in advance to the author, Mindy Obenhaus, for providing a complimentary review copy through JustRead Publicity Tours. A positive review was not required nor requested, and all words are my own.

I have come to expect that when I see a Mindy Obenhaus book – there is going to be a dramatic, emotional, and fascinating story inside the beautiful and stunning cover. And, I’m usually right. In this case – I was right.

I’ve read the last book of her Rocky Mountain Heroes series (I have books #1-#4 on my TBR list).

And, as most people know, I was born in Texas – so, stories featured in Texas are a top draw. Her last series was Bliss, Texas and I enjoyed meeting the characters and seeing their progression of that series.

This is the first book of her new series, and I was delighted to read it. I absolutely LOVE her books; despite the times she’s made me cry.

This does have some sad elements – a diagnosis of cancer (my mom had endometrial/uterine) and Francie needs a hysterectomy – so that was very close. There is also the mention of a traumatic divorce and being forced to give a child up for adoption.

For being a small book, and a “first-in-the-series”, Obenhaus introduces us to quite the cast, but in a way that doesn’t overwhelm the reader:

👩🏻‍🦳 Francine “Francie” – Gloriana’s Mom
📺 Gloriana – “prodigal daughter” returned home
👨🏻‍🦳 Bill – Francie’s fiancé
🏡 Justin – ranch manager
🍪 Kyleigh – Justin’s adopted daughter

Obenhaus doesn’t gently guide us into the book – she throws us right in with:
“Gloriana Prescott had made a lot of mistakes in her life, and there were dozens of wrongs she needed to make right, but she wouldn’t let her mother battle cancer alone.”

Obviously, it is clear right off that Gloriana has a past and she is now willing to come back and make up for it. But, there are some who are determined to not accept that.

One is Francie’s fiancé Bill and ranch manager Justin.

What they don’t know is that Gloriana quit her job when she was denied leave to care for her mom.

In addition to what is going on with the ranch and Francie, Justin is also worried about the rodeo event which has had its share of bad years. It is an event special to Gloriana. The problem is that unless this year is a success, it could all end.

Gloriana offers to help and it is clear that with the time-table they have – they’re more behind than ahead. Justin agrees her ideas are good.

After an event at the hospital involving her mom, and Bill’s “tale” of it – Justin doesn’t believe he can rely on Gloriana and states he doesn’t need her help.

Justin soon realizes that Gloriana’s ideas and connections are what the rodeo needs – if the board agrees – which they do, reluctantly.

That isn’t all – Kyleigh’s coach is moving and she wants Gloriana to coach her. Justin is concerned about Kyleigh getting too close to Gloriana, despite the closeness the young girl has with Francie. He’s also still grieving and feeling responsible for the death of his wife, Barbie.

Justin soon weakens his harsh opinion of Gloriana as she proves to be invaluable in not just coaching Kyleigh, but in helping with the rodeo. He’s also beginning to have feelings for her and seeing her in a new light. She isn’t the same person that left Hope Springs.

Gloriana begins to slow win the trust of those around her as she makes amends for the wrongs of her past.

But, it is soon shattered when Gloriana reveals a truth that deeply impacts Justin in a plot twist that had me stunned. And, Gloriana looks towards moving on yet again when a job offer comes around.

As typical of Obenhaus’ books – she keeps the readers reading until the very end for the happy ending.

The Cowgirl’s Redemption was heart-breaking, vividly raw, and realistic. I was in tears towards the end. This was so easy to read, and I jumped right in. It was definitely hard to put down and I read it the same day no less. There were a few typos here or there, but nothing that detracted from the story.

I love how the author worked in the use of social media to promote the rodeo. Within the past 5-10 years, social media has definitely helped businesses and events with promotion and followers.

It was sad that during a hospital incident with Francie that Bill reamed Gloriana a good one. It was clear the incident wasn’t her fault and Bill’s treatment of Gloriana was unacceptable. He did apologize later on, but it was a bit of a rough stretch for me.

There was a moment in the beginning of the book (or rather chapter two) where Justin felt he should’ve stayed in bed – I’ve had days like that myself to be honest. And, I LOVED how his favorite drink was Dr. Pepper. Being from Texas, I often say it is the unofficial drink of the state.

Kyleigh was a delight in that she loved cooking and baking. I can’t wait to see more of her in the series.

As this is a Love Inspired title, there will be elements of the Christian faith in it. This book is a bit stronger with those themes. More so when Gloriana replies to one character’s question of “what got into you” with “Jesus got into me”. There were bible quotes and tones of forgiveness and redemption. Some might consider this “too” much – but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fans of the author definitely will want to add this to their TBR (to-be-read) stack.

I am eagerly (and very impatiently awaiting) my next visit to Hope Crossing.

The Cowgirl’s Redemption by Mindy Obenhaus
She came home to make things right
Will she be given a second chance?
Gloriana Prescott has returned to her Texas hometown to make amends—even if the townsfolk she left behind aren’t ready to forgive. But when her mother’s ranch manager, Justin Broussard, is tasked with saving the struggling rodeo so his teen daughter can compete, Gloriana sees a chance to prove she’s really changed. But can she prove to Justin, and the town, that she’s trustworthy?
This is Gloriana Prescott and Justin Broussard's story.
Gloriana Prescott had made a lot of mistakes in her life, and there were dozens of wrongs she needed to make right, but she wouldn’t let her mother battle cancer alone.
Maneuvering her Jeep Cherokee off the county road where bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush danced across rolling hills, she passed under the arched metal Prescott Farms sign Saturday morning to continue up the long gravel drive lined with crepe myrtle trees that would boast bright pink blooms come summer. She scanned the pastures, silently thanking God for bringing her home safely. Something she’d never done before. Because until a few months ago, God wouldn’t have even crossed her mind. Now, she trusted Him to guide her every step. Even when it meant giving up the job she’d worked so hard to achieve.
She rounded the final curve, her heart stopping as the flashing lights of an ambulance marred her first glimpse of the sprawling ranch house.
Looking around him to her mother, Gloriana said, “Who is this guy?”
“Oh, I guess you haven’t met.” Her mother gestured to the man and his daughter. “This is Justin Broussard, Prescott Farms ranch manager, and his daughter, Kyleigh.”
“Hi.” The girl waved shyly from beside her father.
Gloriana cringed. Why hadn’t she figured that out on her own? She’d certainly heard plenty about Justin and Kyleigh over the past few years.
“Okay, Mrs. Prescott.” The female EMT removed the blood pressure cuff. “Your vitals are much better. How are you feeling?”
I recommend reading.
The Cowgirl’s Redemption by Mindy Obenhaus is a wonderful well written 5 star book.
I am looking forward to reading more books by Mindy Obenhaus .

Gloriana Prescott has been gone from Hope Crossing, fleeing years ago, leaving a cloud of selfishness and disrespect in her wake. She’s back now, though, quitting her fancy job to come take care of her sick mama, Francie. While home, she’s also hoping to make amends to more than a few people in town, hoping they’ll see her sincerity shine through after turning her life to the Lord several months prior.
Widower Justin Broussard is Francie’s ranch manager. He and his daughter Kyleigh have been at Prescott Farms a few years, plenty of time to hear all the stories around town about Gloriana. He has an instant dislike and distrust when he meets her. He feels it’s warranted. After all he’s heard, why should anyone believe she will stick around now?
Justin has a lot on his plate, including saving the town rodeo. Unfortunately for him, the one person that could possibly be a real help is Gloriana, but will she be trustworthy? As they work together and he gets to know the woman she is now, can his own lapsed faith begin to strengthen? Can they each trust what the Lord has planned for them?
I read this book in one morning. I could not put it down. I smiled and cried, already wishing I didn’t have to wait for the next entry in this wonderful new series. Plus it has an epilogue, which I LOVE!

If you’re looking for a story full of inspiration, forgiveness, and redemption, then The Cowgirl’s Redemption, the first in a new Hope Crossing series by talented author Mindy Obenhaus, is perfect for you. With a setting in small-town Hope Crossing, Texas, and an engaging, relatable cast of characters, this heart-warming and touching tale is just right for a lovely evening of reading.

Gloriana Prescott is returning to Hope Crossing to help her mother through her cancer diagnosis and treatment, but she’s also hoping to make amends for all the trouble and grief she caused the town’s residents years before. Her mother’s ranch manager, Justin Broussard, is skeptical since Gloriana’s reputation is well-known. When Gloriana offers to help Justin save the town’s rodeo and also coach his daughter in barrel racing, she gets a chance to prove she’s changed for the better.

I recommend this book to those who enjoy contemporary romance with threads of inspiration and hope. I’m looking forward to more books in this series.

I really enjoy LOVE Inspired books. The books are short, easy to read, and a quick read. I also enjoy reading books by Author Mindy Obenhaus. The Cowgirl's Redemption is the latest book by Mindy Obenhaus that I have recently read. The book is the first book in the Hope Crossing Series.

Gloriana Prescott has returned home to Hope Crossing, Texas to care for her ailing mother. She also has the opportunity to show the Towns people that she has changed since she was a teenager. Gloriana understands that many not be willing to forgive her just yet or ever. Upon arriving back home she is introduced to the Ranch Manager her mother has hired, Justin Broussard. Justin and his daughter, Kyleigh, are trying hard to save the Rodeo that might not happen. Kyleigh really wants to compete in the Rodeo. Gloriana sees this as an opportunity to help them and it might be the one thing that she needs to help prove how much she has grown and changed. Will Justin be able to Trust Gloriana? Will the Town forgive her for all her past mistakes?

WOW, another GREAT book by Mindy Obenhaus. The book was an easy read and I couldn't put it down and finished it in about 3hrs. I really LOVE how Gloriana knows in her heart that she needs to ask the Town to forgive her for her past mistakes and sets out to do that. The relationship between Gloriana and Justin was so sweet to read and see how they both grow throughout the book. The book has a Christian message of how a new life in Christ will help us grow and mature and gives us Second Chances. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Romance. WONDERFUL BOOK!

What does it feel like to leave your hometown knowing you have hurt people and return a changed person seeking forgiveness and redemption? That is exactly where Gloriana Prescott finds herself when she returns to her Texas hometown hoping to make amends only to find distrust and rejection. She is unwavering in her newfound faith in God. I appreciated the author’s gentle approach to Gloriana’s attempt to make amends and not give up when her efforts failed. I vote it a surefire must-read!

This is a very good book! I liked the premise of Gloriana returning to her hometown, not only to help her mother who has been diagnosed with cancer, but to seek forgiveness from those she had wronged in the past. It was interesting to read about a character who recently developed a relationship with Jesus. I also liked how she had to earn everyone's trust and prove herself, which she did.

The relationship between Gloriana and her mother's ranch manager, Justin, along with his teenaged daughter, Kyleigh, grew naturally. Justin had to work through the heartache and guilt he associated with losing his wife. Misunderstandings and Gloriana's past made for some bumps in the road for a relationship to develop between her and Justin.

I loved watching people forgive, accept, and believe in Gloriana. I also enjoyed the relationship that grew between Gloriana and Kyleigh. I liked Gloriana's best friend (I hope we read her story in a future book) and Gloriana's mom's friend Bill.

If you like contemporary, inspirational fiction, I highly recommend this book.

When Gloriana quit her tv network job and returned home to help her mother through a cancer diagnosis she knew that she was about to do one of the most difficult things in her life. Show her family and the people of her small town that the girl they knew, the disrespectful, outrageous, and somewhat wild girl of her youth was no more. She had changed through God’s help, lots of prayers – she was a new woman in Christ – and she had amends to make, forgiveness to ask for, and a different lifestyle back home, one she actually missed very much.

The trouble would be that very few people believed in this new Gloriana. They still distrusted her, there was still so much anger over her past actions, and even Justin, her mother’s new ranch manager was ready to paint her with that old brush of a previous life. She would work hard to prove herself to them all… but it wasn’t going to be an easy task. Add to that mix trying to help the town bring in a larger crowd to the annual rodeo or they’d lose that too, and they’d already lost so much that made up the yearly festival. Some misunderstandings, a few setbacks, and still Gloriana held on to her belief that eventually, people would see her differently. That the man she was starting to have feelings for will see those changes as well was something she could only pray for since Justin ran hot and cold in his reactions to her, usually seeing her in the worst light possible before believing anything else. It was all frustrating, but she would not move from her plan to show her new self to those who doubt her, no matter how much it hurts.

The Cowgirl’s Redemption is perhaps the most realistic romance surrounding a person accepting Jesus and all she’d grown up hearing about… and facing the consequences of her past full on with regret but determination as well that I’ve ever read. It is such an emotional story on many levels and for several different people in Gloriana’s life as well. Justin and his daughter Kyleigh will be such a vitally important part of her life… if Justin allows it, and that is up in the air. There are twists to this story that put a slightly different spin on events the more details we get.

The secondary characters, some seen more often than others but all of them add another layer of believability to Gloriana’s quest to prove herself changed for the better. I kept thinking when is this girl going to get a break? I enjoyed this romance, and would definitely recommend it, and while I had hoped some people would change their attitude sooner, well, I understood their reasons as well. It’s a complex story, one well worth any reader’s time.

I own a Kindle edition of this title.

Distant, guarded, fearful to the point of paralysis.  So afraid of getting your heart broken again that you build up walls, waging an all-out war between your mind and your heart, the torrent raging internally, only the perceptive ones are able to glimpse the fight.  It’s something we all can identify with.  Unimaginable heartbreak at losing someone you love so fiercely, how can one ever trust again?  These are the thoughts that raged in Justin Broussard’s mind for the past three years, a man stuck in his sorrow after the sudden death of the love of his life. He pushes these feelings aside, putting all of his focus on raising his daughter, Ky, while being a rancher on Prescott Farms.

What Justin doesn’t bargain for is the connection he feels with the ranch owner’s wayward daughter, Glory Prescott. Glory hasn’t always been the best person, but after finding her faith she is a changed woman, and is coming home to help care for her mother, while also making amends for the sins of her past, hoping for forgiveness, and that everyone will see that she’s truly changed.

I devoured this book like a sweet treat that you can’t get enough of. There are so many details that tied me to the story from the get-go. The Texas tie is a strong one, as I was born and raised in the DFW metroplex, which is where Justin’s from, and Justin’s late wife had type 1 diabetes, which my youngest son also suffers from. Reading the account about her complications with this disease are literally my worst nightmare, so these moments hit me hard.

The overall vibe of this novel is intoxicating. I loved all the scenes with Glory and Justin, especially as you watch them work together to build something amazing for the local rodeo, while also witnessing their faith being strengthened, and seeing the growth of each character, as one challenges the other.

I loved the little twist that was thrown in for a touch of mystery near the end of the story, even if the outcome was predictable. It was that perfect little sprinkle that added more sparkle to a gleaming narrative.

I cannot tell you enough how much I enjoyed The Cowgirl’s Redemption. It was a quick read that I hated to see end, one that I devoured, and savored every moment.

I'm still thinking about this book and its characters days after reading it! The main reason? It was real. Glorianna had done many things wrong in her life. Those things hurt many people. Some things that changed lives for the worse. She was looking for attention, especially from her father and she didn't really see the consequences of her actions at the time. She left town to go to college and pursue her dreams but then "life happened" and it was her that had some difficult things come to her. However, those things led her to rediscover her faith in Christ and change her life. She hadn't been home in a while but she's going home to help her mom and make amends with those she hurt. I liked how she found it was difficult to make those amends because the people she hurt were NOT quick to forgive her! That is real life! Sometimes we can hurt people really bad, and they are not going to forgive us quickly! However, I liked that Glorianna still went forth with her life and didn't become depressed about it! Also, she met Justin (the foreman at her family ranch) and the up and down times she had with him were realistic too. I loved his daughter! She was so special! A great story in many ways and I loved it!

Second chances, rodeo, and romance in the heart of Texas.

Gloriana Prescott returns to her hometown to help her ailing mother and make amends. She offers to help her mother's ranch manager, Justin, run to rodeo that has been struggling in recent years. But is she here to stay or will the cowgirl ride away?

A heartwarming contemporary western romance, with an engaging plot, likable characters and a charming small town setting. I liked that Gloriana wanted to go the extra mile to show that she had changed and make amends for what she had done, as well as the growing relationship between her and Justin.

Overall, a very enjoyable read with compelling characters, and great secondary storylines. Justin is a wonderful father and I admired his faith and strong work ethic. I especially liked Gloriana's mother. A heartwarming read, with twists along the way, and an excellent start to a new series!
