Let’s get into this book! I love romance suspense and have felt t like it’s been harder to find new authors that do a good job showing the suspenseful elements and also the romance but Kailee does an amazing job at that.
The story had me hooked, the tension between these two was so awesome. The suspense story worked well. There is a little humor woven into the book.
I cannot wait to read what is next from this author.

Think SWAT, NCIS: LA or any of those American alphabet shows on TV where you have the feds going after the bad guys. Put front and centre a truly strong female lead. She knows what she wants, and she’ll do what needs to be done to get it. Throw in a traumatic backstory, one in which she’s had her world broken, but still carries on fighting. This is the backdrop where we find Lucia. Her fiancé dies, or so she thinks. We know he’s not dead, she doesn’t. Meeting him throws her but doesn’t stop her. Ramiro had gone deep undercover to bring down a heinous drug boss. She’s got to learn to trust him again, he’s got to earn that trust. I absolutely love these two characters. They have classic chemistry. They have intimate knowledge of each other. The bad guys don’t stand a chance. I volunteered late to get a review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and I’m incredibly glad I did. I didn’t devour the book. I savoured it. The writing style is direct and action packed from the off. This must be the start of something bigger. If you’re after a suspense romance with a touch of occasional spice (no fade to black here), then you will enjoy this book. Kailee has outdone herself, creating a world bigger than the book I got immersed in.

A perfect example of a romantic suspense book, this story is full of twists and turns, leaving you grasping for more!
The pacing was beautiful, keeping the reader hooked throughout the entire time. The plot was unique but still grappling, and the main characters had a fiery relationship that kept you wanting to know what would happen next.
This book is the perfect thing for anyone who loves a good romantic suspense, with a unique storyline and captivating twist. Your definite next read!

I'm so in to Kailee's writing! I read Bitter Bayou and realized I really liked Mystery Romance. With Agave Ridge, I'm a fan of her writing Romantic Suspense! I really liked the story. Ramiero made the ultimate sacrifice for his career. It ends up biting him in the butt when the fiancé he left behind, Lucia, is suddenly plopped back in his life. There is delicious chemistry and tension between them. I liked where Kailee took their story. Highly recommend!

I read Kailee’s first book, Bitter Bayou, earlier this year and liked it a lot. I knew I would like anything this author wrote, and Agave Ridge proves me right. I loved this book. This fast-paced romantic suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. Add in a little self-deprecating humor, a complicated second chance romance, and a very satisfying HEA, and you have a perfect Emily read. I can’t wait to read whatever she has cooked up next!

Another great book by Kailee Saunders. Looking forward to more books. Got hooked from the beginning of this novel and finished reading the same day.
