Alpha geek book 18.
Pilar is hired to protect a scientist that is trying to find a cure for a awful disease.
Maverick is trying to get to know his protector better but hasn’t quite figured it out yet.
After been attacked he’s poisoned and dying. Pilar saves him and they become mated and have a HEA.
Absolutely love Milly Taiden. She is the queen of paranormal romance and I would definitely recommend PDA series

Maverick & Pilar
She'd taken care of her sister for some time. Even though she was getting older, Pilar didn't want to let go. She was a female alpha protector. Since she could actually leave her she agreed to a job that could take some time. Protecting a scientist from some unknown danger. When she met him she remembered what she'd been told about the team finding something special with their assignments.
THEIR TRUE MATES! Sure enough!
Maverick was delighted to have her as his personal guard. The more personal the better! The attraction was strong and immediate. They fought it because both knew the danger he was in needed their full attention. Maybe when all was settled...if they lived to get it settled.
The enemy was strong with an unending supply of men--shifters to go after him. Will they take down the enemy? Will they live through it? Is there a future for them?
Lots of action, intrigue, steam, and romance, along with the danger. As expected and always received a story to capture your attention from beginning to end.

Lion shifter Pilar Douglas works as a bodyguard while she supports her younger sister and is allocated an assignment to protect scientist Maverick Wilcox but what she did not expect was to walk into the roof and find her mate. Maverick is working on a cure for the disease that killed his sister but he has been noticed by the wrong people a local group wants him to use his brain on their schemes but he just wants to get closer to Pilar so he can date her. When Maverick is poisoned he is ready to die rather than agree to help the bad guys with a cure. Pilar has the agency's special serum on hand to save him and neutralise the poison. Now Maverick is a big bad alpha shifter and he is the one calling the shots!
I enjoyed this story with the fated mates, the bad guys and the desperate battle to save the geek so that he can continue his important work. I enjoyed the way that even before the transformation he was attracted to her in a major way. Full of danger and drama there were also some tender moments too. Easy to read and understand. Contains some mature content.

Wonderful read, enjoyable characters I thoroughly enjoyed the scenario
I thoroughly enjoyed the read it was very enjoyable and the characters Maverick and Pilar and I found it to be a totally riveting read, she was there to protect the scientist from danger without actually realising that the man was actually her Fated Mate.
Maverick is amazed to discover that the person guarding him so diligently was in fact her mate and that she would do whatever he needed to keep him safe.
I guarantee that you will be captivated by the characters and the plot has been written wonderfully and you will see another fated pair come together.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Another great addition to the Geek series. Love this series!! Full of adventure, intrigue, action, and steamy encounter to keep you hook from beginning to end making it a helluva read. Can't wait for the next installment in this series. Another fabulous Alpha Geek shifter romance. Maverick, the geek, was a doctor who was working on a cancer cure that someone else wanted. When Maverick needs protection, Nick sends him Pilar. Sexy, lethal lioness shifter Pilar is just what the doctor ordered. And as for Nick? He's not only running a protection agency but a mating one as well! Another great addition to the Alpha Geek series by Milly Taiden!

He is almost kidnapped for his smarts and calls Nick for help. In come Pilar and yup you guess it he is her mate. This one is a good addition to the series with drama, suspense, action and a HEA. Love his aunts reaction after he is changed.

Love this series. This was so good. I enjoyed the storyline it was exciting and full of adventure and romance. Maverick and Pilar are a prefect match and complete each other. I am excited to read the next story.

It was ok
It was an ok story. I liked it until it stopped being about him finding his cure and switched to having to take care of Hal. I think the professionals should have taken care of Hal and he needed to keep his science stuff.

I really love the Alpha Geek series, and this is another fantastic addition. I love the interaction between Pilar and Maverick. There's the instant attraction, the action, drama, and hot sexy scenes.
