Hi my name is Iris Walker and I am an independent woman who has never been married and never had children. I live my life as I see fit.....I am so excited as I am a Landscape Architect and I have just been given the most amazing property to redo. The Veridian Hotel is one of the most plus and amazing sites around the area. Everyone who is anyone wants to stay there and I have checked in with a crew and no limits on spending, able to live in the hotel while I am working, all expenses paid. No better deal on the earth.
So why am I now beginning to wonder about this job. Could it be that a body washed up on the beach, maybe because the owner and contact at the hotel has vanished or is it because someone is doing things to set my nerves on end.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book one and am on to book two. Will keep you updated as I go but if you start the first book be sure to have the second one ready. I have up to 5 with a total of 6 in the series.....Great read during the hot months, beach read or if you want get all 6 books and read in the fall by the fireplace.

Entertaining mystery listening 🎶🔰

Another will written paranormal mystery short story adventure thriller by Sage Parker (Cozy Mystery Romance book one). Iris has spent her adult life landscaping properties. She gets an email asking her to accept the landscaping of a hotel. She accepts and arrives at the hotel. The owner of a hotel disappears and strange things are happening. The the landscapers find a body. Continued in book two. I would recommend this novella series and author to 👍 readers of mystery novels 👍🔰. I noticed in reviews a number that did not realize that this is a six book series. You should do your home work before starting a series. I joined kindle unlimited a read close too $100+ of books a month for $9.99 or less with specials. Because I read a very wife variety of books it works well for me.

This is the first book in The Old Hotel Series which features Iris Walker, a landscape architect who accepts a new job renovating the grounds of the Veridian Court Hotel. Iris meets and is attracted to Neil, a businessman planning an extended stay at the hotel, but mystery surrounds him. As Iris tours the hotel grounds for her upcoming job she learns the hotel has been experiencing suspicious problems from low reservations, disappearing individuals associated with the hotel including the owner, mysterious communications, and dead bodies. This book is an excellent introduction to this new series. It does end in a cliffhanger and I am eager to continue reading this great series.

Good beginning to the series.
Iris is a landscape architect, but at forty-two she was alone with no romantic possibilities in sight. She has agreed to renew the landscaping at the famous Veridian Court Hotel. She arrives shortly after a body washes up on the beach.
She meets the mysterious Neil while looking around the property. He peaks her interest. She also becomes acquainted with another guest, Genevieve.
Low reservations, employees not showing up to work, desperation to redo landscaping. What’s going on at the hotel?.

This was a great start to a new mystery by Sage Parker. Loved meeting Iris and the very mysterious Neil. Cannot wait to read about more of them both. There are some very strange happenings at the hotel and it looks like Iris will be caught in the crossfire. Is it a disgruntled employee or a competitor out to create havoc? Only time will tell until we discover the truth but until then I am going to enjoy this wild ride as only Ms Parker can write.

Great start to a new mystery series. Iris is a landscape architect and a workaholic. She was due for a long awaited vacation until she is contacted to renovate her dream job at the 5 star Veridian Court Hotel. She arrives after a body has washed up on the shore by the hotel, but Iris is so ecstatic to start! But strange things are happening at the hotel including the hotel owner going missing the very day he was to meet with Iris for planning the renovation. What will happen next?.

I was immediately drawn to the story and the character. Iris is chosen to renovate the landscape at the Veridian Court Hotel. She has always had a fascination with this hotel. When she arrives to work, she observes a lot of odd occurrences and behavior. It is a great mystery that will keep coming back for more.

This is the first book in the Cozy Mystery Romance Series; it is the beginning of another series of short stories. The story continues into the next book and needs to be read in order.

This is a well written book with a cast of strong characters centering on Iris. It's the first book to an intriguing story that had me glued to the pages with the mystery man, Neil and all of the strange happenings at the Hotel. I can't wait for the next book after the cliffhanger ending.

Love the settings of a small town and hotel. There are a few twists and turns and some drama too. Interesting characters that help tell the story. Good start to a series. Good read.
