Jessa Halliwell is a Dark Romance author who writes about angsty, torturous love, that's a little fucked up and utterly consuming. Her characters are raw and flawed but they always find salvation in each other.

She loves writing romance only slightly more than she loves reading it. She’s been known to binge read novels then spend the rest of the day sulking over the massive book hangover.

Jessa resides in Northern California with her boyfriend and her feisty Chihuahua. When she isn’t pouring her heart out in her writing, you can find her obsessing over her skincare routine, drinking an unhealthy amount of boba tea and probably crying over a really good romance book

A very disappointing ending. The series started out great, became mediocre with the second book and basically sucked in the final book. Everything was rushed and the whole Dimitri drama just felt poorly developed.

Too quick. I wish it was a little bit longer and filled with a more epic ending then what we got. Wish the action and suspense were more suspenseful and action filled. It seemed to be lacking and incomplete for the last of a series.

Dang I'm really disappointed with this. I've had this on my watch list ever since I binged the first 2 books months ago. I was skeptical when I saw that it was only ~150 pages and was concerned that the plot was going to be underdeveloped and just lacking. Unfortunately, that seemed to be the case. There were multiple typos in punctuation that pulled me out of the story. The pacing was so fast and solutions to each of the "problems" in the story just felt too convenient. Everything worked out for Stevie. The ending was very strange and rushed and the relationships fell flat. The first 2 books felt so much stronger and I was genuinely interested in Stevie's story. I'm so confused how this third book just completely fell flat.

I also was very disappointed that the first sex scene in the book (between Stevie and Ezra), there's absolutely no foreplay and he immediately drives into her... uhm, OUCH?! I absolutely hate when authors write unrealistic sex scenes that portray the women as always ready to take dick with no prep. Sigh... for how much time between book 2 and 3, I was really expecting more.

・ 。゚☆:Wrath of The Reapers *.☽ .*:☆゚

Stevie Alexandra (h) regrets leaving The Reapers because she’s been tortured, and they never came for her. She assumed her guys would come for her, especially because she left abruptly. However, as time passes, she realizes that maybe they assumed she left them for good. Atlas, Tristan, Cyrus, and Ezra (H) wish things were different because they miss her but haven’t heard from her in a while. When she unexpectedly returns, they know they won’t ruin this second chance with her.

─── ・ 。゚☆: THOUGHTS*.☽ .*:☆゚. ───

Tell me why I just finished the second book and I started this one right away, so how is it that I am done with the book in almost 2 hours? The book was just rushed; there is no development. They automatically forgive each other. They left off where they started; there was just no continuation of what had happened in the second book, and the worst part was that they’d never even looked for her. They just assumed that she didn’t want to be with them, which was the end of the story; they continued their lives, and to me, that’s shocking. I assume that they would’ve still looked for her, but they seemed like they gave up on her completely without thinking about how she was or if she was okay. How did they assume that she just stopped caring for them one day after the other, no matter what had happened between her and Ezra? I think that they should’ve at least checked up on her. It’s wild to me… that didn’t happen.

I’m honestly disappointed about the execution of this book because I thought that the story had potential. I genuinely like the first two books, and if this had been more thought out, then the series could’ve been great, but the story was rushed. I felt like the writing was just lazy, and there was no thought into the final book. It seems like the author ran out of ideas and didn’t know how to tell the stories till they picked the worst possible ending. How is it that Dimitri gets taken down in the final chapter, and Stevie decides to slit her throat, but she survives. And the worst part is that we could’ve seen an Ezra redemption arc because he had cried for the first time, saying that Stevie was injured, but instead, we get a one-year time jump epilogue. The end of everything: I’m just so disappointed; I can’t reiterate this enough because I feel like this book was just wasted potential.

I also feel like this wasn’t even a reverse harem because all four of them didn’t even ever talk about their dynamic. It was just understood that they shared something between all of them. Still, mostly, she was with Tristan and Cyrus together, and the others had their separate moments. I don’t know exactly what was going on between them because they never talked about the romance. Instead, they talked about how they loved her and how they wanted her to be with them forever, but they never addressed the situation that they had going on with me. That’s strange because typically, it’s a conversation that they have in reverse harem, but for them, it was normal. Even though it made her uncomfortable at first, she was embarrassed about wanting Cyrus and Tristan simultaneously. They just went with it, and they addressed it once and never again.

[Ezra]

“I hate what you’ve turned me into. What you’ve turned us all into. You had no fucking right to come into our lives and wreck us the way you did.”

“Then finish it.” She insists, reaching for my hand and wrapping it firmly around her throat. “If that’s what you really want, I won’t stop you.”

I knew from the start that Ezra wasn’t the one who killed Alex, but he did it to push Stevie away, and of course, she fell for it. I think she should’ve known that Ezra wasn’t capable of doing that, especially because she had gotten to know him and his background. He genuinely had feelings for her, so why would he do that and push her away if he was one of the few people who cared about her and wanted her to be in his life? This book starts with the elements in the other books, so now Ezra sees ghosts and sees if she is one of them. So when she returns for real, he assumes that she is a ghost, and he tries to choke the life out of her; the other guys have to stop in, and she forgives him. I was honestly surprised by that whole interaction and how she just ignored him. I would’ve been like PAUSE - it’s in character for Ezra to be unhinged, but that was out of pocket. In the end, I think his final straw was seeing her lifeless body, and when he started crying, and his brothers had never seen him cry in his life, that’s what did it for me.

[Tristan & Cyrus]

“God, I’ve missed you, P.” He confesses, breathing the words into my neck. I missed you too, I want to say, but I hold myself back. I can’t say things like that to them anymore.

The twins just missed her and attached to her when she returned. They slept outside her door, and then she invited them to sleep in her bed. They just wanted to be around her because they feared she might disappear if they weren’t near her. They tried to keep her in a little safe cocoon, and she was protected around them for the first time in a while. She left them, but they didn’t hold that against her; they were just glad she was back with them.

“Princess.” He says sternly, glaring down at me. “If you’re going to have a fucking pity party, have one in my arms. It’s cold up here and I need to remind myself that that motherfucker can’t get to you anymore. That you’re with me now, and that you’re safe.”

At this point, Cyrus didn’t care about anything but Stevie being back home with them. All she did was run and make bad choices, so if she was going to continue to make terrible decisions, he wanted to make them in his arms. With Cyrus and Tristan, Stevie was going to be protected at all times.

[Atlas]

“I don’t know why you did it, or if you even meant to do it, but on the night we first met, when you looked up at me, it was the first time I didn’t see the look of fear staring back at me. You saw something else in me. What? I’m not sure, but it felt good and that was… unexpected. After that, something inside me shifted. I found myself wanting to be different. Better. Kind. The type of man that deserves to be with someone like you. I know I’ll never be a good man, a man that wants you for all of the right reasons, and says all the right things, but for you, I’m willing to try. If you’ll let me.”

I’m disappointed with the outcome of this relationship because they had the first interaction, yet this was a lease developed. Did she even love them? She only ever told Atlas consistently that she loved him, and I don’t get it because he was the one who kept secrets from her the most; there was no development between these two even though they knew each other first; they were around each other at least I don’t understand this book for the relationships that dynamics are just not there in this book, and I’m just again disappointed with the execution of a final installment.

¸♡ OVERALL ♡¸.•

It’s just bad I wouldn’t recommend this book.Honestly, I’m disappointed that I even started the first one if I knew it would end like this. I think it’s always so sad when a story has potential, but the final book ruins the entire thing because there’s no closure, it’s rushed, and authors should take into consideration that people wait for these books and they want a good ending. I would rather wait longer for a book and for it to be good than have a book quicker, which isn’t good.

I honestly don't know how we got to this point, but this one was pure ass. I'm actually speechless. Not only did the writing become suddenly ass, but the characters would move on from shit too quickly. LIKE HELLO ARE WE NOT GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT SHE SLIT HER FUCKING THROAT TO SAVE ALL OF YALL%$!$!$@

I just can’t

I tried, I really tried. I finished the series in an attempt to find some sort of redemption in the writing and the weak characters. I’m disappointed that the main character is constantly repeating mistakes, blaming others, and then when tragedy strikes barely owns her involvement before starting the cycle again. It was way too much angst without any character growth.

Any one who rated this book with over 2 stars, is for sure paid to do so. This book was the absolute worst! The chemistry between the characters was the same as my will to live, when I was reading the book- none. The ending seems extremely forced and did not give a good view of how their life was in the end. The main character has the survival instincts of a potato. It would be great, instead of explaining the traits that each character has, to actually show them and act on them. Also, the last two books would be one, but noo let's make it into two separate books, so we can torment people, while spending their money! DO NOT READ THIS.

I can’t believe it’s coming from me but this could’ve been 50 pages longer bc I feel there we’re still some loose ends. So I was a little disappointed since this is the last book from them

I am disappointed. Not just in the ending but the entire series. The story has so much potential. What bothers me the most is that their relationships are not properly explored. We don’t see their journey from captive/ captors to lovers. It is mentioned but not shown.

“Because no matter how much you try to change them, no matter how much you think you love me. A monster is still a monster. They can’t love you back. All they’ll ever do, all they can ever do, is destroy you.”

I must admit it, Stevie is a Survivor. She was a warrior. She went through a LOT, and I am proud of her. I felt relations between Stevie and each of the Reapers must have a little longer time to develop cause it felt rushed. In Queen of the Reapers Stevie really frustrated me, girl let me tell you that everything can’t always get your way and she doesn’t seem to get it. Luckily She was able to fix and improve in the last book, the ending did leave more to be desired. Overall I love this story, I enjoyed reading this series.

This book starts, for the last one ended, with Stevie, being held captive by Dimitri. Stevie is tortured for information, and in the hopes of Dimitri, forcing her to marry him. Once Dimitri realizes that she will never agree, he decides to kill her. He douses her in gasoline and sets the building on fire. He starts the fire on the other end of the building though. Stevie excepts that she’s going to die until she hears somebody breaking to save her. They pull her out of the building and drive off with her. Stevie slips out when they stop at a rest station because she doesn’t think she can trust them. This is when Violet’s character comes in to the book. Stevie gets away and slips into the bathroom to clean yourself up, while cleaning her self up, Violet comes into the bathroom and ask her why she left, she soon realizes that Violet is actually her sister Alex. She finds out that Alex is working with the mercenary‘s that the reapers hired to find her, but they never told the reapers that they found Alex due to Dimitri being a DEA agent, and they didn’t know if they could trust Stevie. Stevie stays away from the guys until all of her injuries heal. Once Alex convinces her, she needs to tell them she shows up at their club, and they take her home after hearing everything. She starts to build relationships up with them again, and they slowly start to trust one another. They come up with a plan on how to get to Dimitri and they work the rest of the book trying to catch him. Along the way of trying to find Dimitri. Stevie gets her revenge on the people that hurt her while she was held in captivity with Dimitri. They finally catch up to Dimitri and he holds her hostage, knowing that she has no way out of it Stevie slices her own throat and the men think she’s dead. Stevie even thinks she’s dead until she wakes up in the hospital surrounded by the guys and they ask for their happy ever after, and she agrees.

Great ending to Stevie & The Reapers

Seeing Stevie grow and learn how to trust, especially The Reapers was amazing! Stevie and The Reapers’ growth through the series was nothing short of amazing! It was great to see all of the different connections and people we’ve met during the series and see how they’re doing and also interact with everyone! The surprise character had me teared up a bit, I was so happy. As for Dmitri and Zombie - they deserve the absolute worst. There were some decent spicy scenes but not too many and not too detailed so it really focused on the story. As much as I love the spice, the story was well worth it! I enjoyed the epilogue but maybe we can get a spin-off or follow-up with some of the other character groups and see how Stevie & the guys are still doing even further out? I’d love to visit this world and characters again.

I am honestly proud of myself for reading this series in one day. But this book was kinda rushed at the end. It was unnecessary for her to stab herself in the neck to “protect” everyone. Dimitri was still alive and Ezra had to kill him. All the dark romance mafia reverse harem always has the same line, “And there is no place I would rather be.” But the pros are is that Stevie knows how to punch and that is it. Stevie was an ahole most of the time and she was shitty yk the guys.

Like they would stay for her but she would leave? Whyyyy…what was the reason🙄🙄 Alex’s story is the next book in this series and I’m not so excited for it, cause Stevie’s situation is making me not want to read Alex’s “ love story” but I like Alex.

Honestly I never leave reviews just a rating because everyone experiences the book differently but this series has got to be the worst written books I’ve ever read.
With that being said this last book was all over the place.
This series had so much potential but went downhill in the second book. The main character was extremely annoying. This was her villain story?
With only 115 kindle pgs the book was so short that we were left hanging with the rest of guys. I thought Atlas was the main guy yet we saw more from the twins and the epilogue was utter trash

I don’t recommend reading this at all, it’s a waist of time
