STAHP #4

STAHP in the Name of Love

Rate this book
I'm a simple guy, you know? Point me in a direction, tell me what to do, and I get it done. Life is pretty easy. Until I scent my mate, Parker Donovan. Parker's the father of two and on the run for a murder he didn't commit.

The victim? His abusive ex-husband. The one who pulled the trigger? His youngest, Casey, and he'll do anything to protect her. The big trouble is, it's not the law he's running from--though they're on the lookout for him, too--but his husband's family.

Now it's up to me and my team to protect my mate and his kids and find a way to stop the vigilantes after them, all the while someone's stirring up trouble in STAHP, wanting to turn back to our old ways.

As complicated as things get, I know one thing: now that I've found my mate, I'm not letting anyone take him away from me.

In my emotions

I love all the series from this amazing duo. Though I am sad that Suzi Hawke is no longer present, I hope that the series continue on. I hope that Crista Crown continue the series in her memory as she has been. I knew her presence is truly missed. I know that I'm sad she's missing out on her part of her vision. Okay, if you aren't familiar with any of these series you are truly missing out. I recommend that you start at the beginning with Team Alpha and then work your way up to the STAHP and KNOT series. Proper order is Team Alpha, Alphabits, The Novaks, and STAHP, and KNOT simultaneously. Honestly I hope there's an O'Malley series in the making, there's just so many of them and they're a hoot. But for real not only this book was amazing. And I have faith that if there's any future books they'll be just as great and I'll definitely be buying them as well. Thank you very much Crista Crown for continuing on in you guys wonderful work.

A mate in danger, a found family...can't STAHP loving this series.

I have been waiting for this book for so long. It was so well worth the wait! The STAHP crew is back. But the story belongs to Owen and his mate Parker. And two adorable kids. I admit I may have rushed through the book just to find out what happened next. While there is HEA, the storyline continues. I will be eagerly awaiting the next book. You have got to read this! Crista has done Susi's legacy proud.

OK, I will admit that cover didn't do a thing for me. I also wanted to mention that even after reading the story, I couldn't even begin to describe either MC. This lack of details that I mention from time to time can get annoying... grrr

I just want to state for the record that I know who the "mole" is... and he WILL get his due in the VERY near future, mark my words! *grin*

As always, it is the kids and babies that steal the show with this series, which is probably why I keep reading them!

Awesome!

These two were perfect!

Owen and Parker meet in an unconventional way. Parker's brother-in-law is attempting to capture Parker for allegedly killing his abusive husband, but Parker did not do it. Owen and his partner at STAHP, tank, end up knocking out tge brother-in-law and rescue Parker and his 2 kids.

These two fot so well. Owen listens to what Parker needs and keeps them safe!

Another incredible book.

I love how Crista still has Susi's name on these books, they started the series together, and Crista is doing an amazing job by continuing them on her own.

We meet Owen, a member of STAHP, and he meets his mate Parker, but is Parker in a position to have a mate?

Full of the fantastic teams we know, STAHP and Team Alpha. Mpreg, Shifters, Danger and Protection. What a perfect book, plus we know the stories will continue as there is a story in the background that needs resolving.

So very good love them hate that we have betrayers and yet each person is amazing. I don't know if i want a close person to be the mole . But at the sametime the bad guys need prison or death depending on their crimes . In owen the big muscles men . Know all we need is ian , crash and hector as well as nacho to get mated...

I’m really happy that Crista continued the series. These books & the universe itself is a huge source of comfort for me so I’m glad it’s continuing.
This book is a bit heavier than others as Parker comes from an abusive relationship. It’s heartbreaking and sad. I really liked how Owen tried his best to be there for his mate. It was warming and comforting like all the books in this world.

Escaping

Parker is running for his life and the lives of his children when Owen finds them. Owen, a member of STAHP, knows immediately that Parker is in trouble and sets out to rescue him. Their story is one of love and tragedy.

I feel shortchanged by this short novel

Only 141 pages, and while I liked Owen and his mate, whose name I've already forgotten, their issues were minor and too easily overcome. Yes, happy ending, but over too soon.

Wow

It's been hard to read a book that Crista and Susie were supposed to write forever. I don't know how Crista was able to keep moving forward and not only doing an amazing job but still giving the same feeling as the others. I cannot wait to read the next in this series.

That was wonderful

Thank you Christa for doing that alone without Suzi. It must have been hard to get thru but I’m telling you it will survive. It was a wonderful story! Thank you 🙏

I adored Owen! Finding his mate in Parker gives him the other half of his heart and soul, it also gives him the family he's always longed for. Parker's life before Owen was a nightmare. Owen is the man that supports him and loves him exactly as he is. I liked that Owen let Parker set the pace of their relationship and I loved how much he loved and cared for Casey and Nick.
Highly recommended authors and series

Missing pages?

Everything after the last sentence of the book is missing. No author bio, no other reads: was there supposed to be an epilogue?

I know this says 4 of 4 but I’m kind of hoping there might be more?

Meh. Too many wild swings in one paragraph..."I'm so upset, now I'm fine," kind of thing. Not much drawing me to finish. DNF at 63%.

********** Contains Spoilers**********

I rated this book 4.5 stars, so I rounded it up to 5 stars. I really enjoyed this book. I thought Owen and Parker were awesome together and their chemistry was off the charts. Parker, and his two children Casey and Nick are on the run from his ab*sive mates family. All because Parker’s mate was k*lled and his family blames Parker, but really it was their daughter Casey who sh*t and k*lled him by accident as she was trying to get him to stop hurting her omega dad Parker. Luckily when his a*sehole brother in law catches up to them, that Owen and his STAHP team mate Tank see what’s happening and step in, even though it’s not really in their jurisdiction but Casey is being held by the next by an angry man so they don’t hesitate to save them.

It isn’t until Owen gets closer that he scents that the man trying to plead with the angry man is his true mate. I loved how respectful of Parker’s past Owen was and gave Parker the options on what to do now that they’ve met each other, and that they’ll most likely go into heat/rut. Owen never wanted to do anything that Parker wasn’t comfortable with. Owen was also amazing with Parker’s child Casey and Nick, and basically considered them his from the get go, even if they weren’t biologically his.

Owen’s team is dealing with a mole within STAHP who doesn’t like how Saint has changed how they deal with the bad guys, and is wanting to change the rules back to the old days when Saint’s brother Antonio was leading STAHP. I think that Crista did Susi proud (rest in peace Susi, you’ll be greatly missed). I still think that Crista is a complete and utter rockstar, as she’s planning on finishing this series and the Knotted Paths series by herself. I know that as a fan I’m really grateful that Crista has decided to keep on writing even after her good friend and co-writer isn’t here anymore. I wonder who from STAHP will find their true mate next. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and authors to everyone.
