Rate this book
Lia Faraday wants justice for Graiden, herself, and everyone the Knight family has harmed. Unfortunately, wizard politics only care about power, and Graiden needs Lia to represent him at his own wake to make sure his sister gets what he left her.

A funeral at the family plot leads to chaos, secret tunnels, and bloody vengeance. It also leads her to discover a connection between a serial killer and a lake dragon.

She didn’t expect to find answers about her own family when people start spilling secrets about the Fae. Why are they watching her, and can she trust what she’s discovered, or is this just another drama-filled weekend of mayhem?

Plot twists keep on coming

It's like the perils of Pauline, Lia's goes from one cliff hanger to the next. Many questions have been answered, but many are still hanging. Problems have been solved, but I daresay she will be in fear for her life, and enough other characters May die that it is a possibility, although I am holding out for a happy ending, and clearly she will last another two books.

A decent story that follows tightly on the heels of the second book. At this point so many enemies and frienemies have died that I'm not sure who the antagonists will be in book #4, other than Cat of course.
