After years of living vicariously through so many characters and stories created by others, Emma Nichole has taken the plunge herself.
A Southern girl, born and raised in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains in East Tennessee, Emma is an avid college football fan, a self-proclaimed true crime obsessive, a lover of horror movies and music of every genre.
But her true love, of course, is creating romance filled worlds for readers to escape inside of.
Whether it’s a small town second chance romance, an angsty, high steam forbidden romance, or a fun, workplace romp, you’re sure to find something you love in her swoonworthy smut.
Austin and Parker’s story was a nice slow burn with an angsty love story mixed in. These young lovers get a second chance at love after a 10 year span. Liked the flow of the story, their push and pull, their day to day struggles while also trying to deal with life and the hurdle that is thrown their way. Parker finds herself back in the place she was 10 years ago with memories that make her want to to run all over again. Loved how Austin and Parker battled their past, their love, but at the end they were able to find their ways back to each other.
This novella is a very emotional read. Austin and Parker work through heartbreak, misunderstanding, and loss as they come together to find their HEA. The was a great slow burn with some great witty banter. I really enjoyed this book.
Taurus is a short novella that packs an emotional second chance punch. Parker & Austin were in love when they were young, but something happened which broke her heart so she left him in her rear view mirror. She only came back home after her grandfather passed away, and she learns that Austin runs the business & lives in the house. Will they be able to hash their past out?! Or will they remain enemies that will have her leaving again?! This story is super easy to read in one sitting so to see how it all plays out, you'll have to hit those one click buttons as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Well done. Second-chance is one of my favorite tropes and the newest by Emma Nicole doesn’t disappoint. It has all the angst you expect along with some grief, heartbreak, and the misunderstandings that come synonymous with second-chance. I was immediately drawn into this story and couldn’t put it down. I can never wait to when they finally get back together and I can’t stop reading until they do. This book was no exception. I enjoyed the characters, laughed out loud at some of the banter, and what’s not to love about a pet chicken?!

Taurus by Emma Nichole is quick read but definitely packs an emotional punch. If you’re looking for a steamy afternoon read lounging by the pool, this angsty Second chance is for you. Ms. Nichole sprinkles in lots of chemistry and sexual tension between these well rounded characters. The plot is original and the author pulled me in from the start. I was rooting for Austin and Parker and couldn’t stop reading until the very end. Highly recommend.
Parker and Austin have gone through something tha broke them and now they need to work through this because of being forced together.
Will these two be able to come together and work through this or will it be the end?
The emotions brought out in this book were a full range. The chemistry between these two was well built and kept me wanting more and had me reading until the end.
Discovered this series because it’s Virgo season and I saw Virgo on IG, which I still have to read. Nichole is a new-to-me author and this is a second chance, close proximity because beloved/meddling relative died and wrote a will that forced them to spend time together/get married in order to inherit à la Xeni and Twice Shy.
I always love a angsty second chance romance, especially when they have to work through their past problems to get their happy ever after. It was the case of this book and I loved reading all about it. It was just a super enjoyable reading experience to me.
I received an ARC of this book, and this is my honest opinion.
I’m not sure if it was their loss, their breakup, the years that passed between them, the tension between them but 🄳🄰🄼🄽 if the story didn’t make me cry, which I was not expecting!!!
What I liked: that this romance was set in a vineyard. The two main characters, Austin and Parker were extremely likeable, and I imagine Austin is the guy on the cover. It was well written as the tension between the two mounted throughout. I loved the storm scene and a fat hen called Marjorie.
What I didn’t like: there really wasn’t a great deal to dislike. The lies people tell perhaps, which is what sent Parker running in the first place.
Overall: a good little read. Emma Nicole writes well and romance lovers will enjoy this too. There is a whole collection for all the star signs, and like this one they are all quick reads.
Tiktok did me so dirty with this one. Think Dawson's Creek and The Notebook if they were rated R and you have the over the top angsty drama in this book.
