Throughout Demon’s entire life, all he knew was darkness and pain. However, during each trial and tribulation, there’s been one person who’s been by his side, Silence. Even though their co- dependency towards one another is unhealthy, toxic, and dangerous, it’s also unsafe for anyone to try and come between them.
Demon’s on a dangerous mission to eliminate anyone in his way of gaining complete control over Paterson. He uses his desire for wealth to mask his feelings of heartbreak.
Silence is on a mission to secure her place as the woman by his side. Instead of helping him heal, she encourages his rage, which leads to numerous deaths.
In this last installment, we will see if Demon and Silence’s love can withstand all the secrets, lies, and murders they have accumulated together and separately.
I write based on experiences and to help prevent others from going down the same road as me. Each novel I create will focus on different aspects of street life. My mission is to bring awareness to modern-day drug usage, imprisonment, and other issues.
Wow, what a way to end this series! Silence was still the same hating, selfish and grimy chick. She hasn’t changed one bit and never will. Like for real, she disgusts me. She is really the devil himself! Demon pissed me off so much throughout this read. The signs were all around him and he still refused to believe them. His relationship with Silence is toxic af. That girl is pure evil. His hardheaded behind didn’t want to listen to nobody and severely paid for it.
Now as for Ice, he is just as responsible as Renee is. Like for real, why not tell your son the truth when you found him. A lot of this mess could have been prevented, especially that ending! I was sooo mad at him for that!! What made him think Demon would even want to read that letter!?
I felt so bad for NaNa. She did not deserve the hate & drama thrown her way. What Silence did to her made my blood boil.
I wish the ending could have been different for some characters. Overall, this was a great series that I highly recommend. Again, I only gave it 4 stars because of grammatical errors.
This was a great book and I believe you did justice for the sequel. My only thing is that I wished there was some type of closure between Silver & King. I wished that he was able to talk it out with her before immediately jumping to conclusions. As far as that dirty bitch Silence, I personally feel like she took the easy way out. Her death reminded me of Cersei from Game of Thrones. You know how when the most hated character dies an easy death? It was wayyy too easy for that evil bitch, but King came through at the end. I’m glad he came to his senses, but it was too late. Silence never deserved a man like him & Silver deserved more. Overall I really loved this book because it kept me on my toes. Besides missing the scene between Silver & King (I loved that plot twist btw), I feel like this was a great book. This is definitely top 2 book I’ve read this entire year. Good job Ms. Reese Laflare!
Everything this author has released has been nothing short of amazing but this one here has become my favorite. As a book lover of all genres I have found myself gravitating more toward complex storylines with characters who society deem to be nothing but worthless menaces. However, for me, I feel differently. Many times these individuals have a dark past that they try to escape. They are products of their environment and live by the saying, kill or be killed. Demon is a perfect example of this. Misjudged by his actions, most would consider him heartless, but the truth is, that man had a big heart and he protected those that he allowed to enter it, at all costs.
Don't let the cover or title deter you from reading this completed series. It's not your typical pimp tale, I promise you. The twists and revelations that gets discovered will knock you off your feet
How old were these people again? There's SO much to unpack in this story but I'm trying to get over the fact that it was about teenagers. I'm sorry, I don't care how you slice it Ice should be given just as much blame as Renee. She acted off feelings. He acted by choice. And at the end of the day he held the power to change the cards EVERYONE was dealt off he'd only been honest up front. As far as Silence, well honey that lil girl was always a lost cause and her fate would've eventually led her down the same road.
This my first time reading this authors work well series..this is differently a page turn I couldn’t but the book down.. I love me so demon he didn’t play. I’m glad Renee wasn’t his mother with her messy self .. Silence was a trick and really jealous , she got what she deserved.. All in all this book has a lot of action going
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Wow what a ride!!! A wild one!! I can’t even believe the ending though!! Silence got off too easy and that makes me soooo angry!!! Poor King(Demon) finding out that type of information was mind blowing! He really deserved that love from Silver! 🤧This book was so good! I wasn’t ready at all! Whew!!! Bravo Reese!!!! This was my first but definitely not my last read from you!
This was definitely a crazy ride that had you waiting for more. Demon had to learn the hard way that love can make you blind. All this time Demon was Huntington devil and the devil named Silence was right by his side the whole time. Didn't expect the ending which makes you have a WOW moment.
Whew waiting for Demon to learned the truth about Silence was a bit much she took so much from him especially Silver, Demon had to read that letter Ice left him it was the only way he would know the truth about his in tire life !!
If I could give this book a hundred stars I will it was worth the wait plus some didn’t except that ending but like all of her other books it goes out with a bang a must read
I must say both installments were bomb. The ending was truly sad all his life was a lie and painful. If only he had time to find out the truth I wonder how things would of turned out.
This book is not what I was expecting. I went in thinking this was another pimp ho story like I read before. And it’s not. This book is dope asf. The only way you won’t like it if is it you want some unrealistic cookie cutter bs
I loved book one and didn't know how Ms Laflare was going to close out the story. But, she did her thang with this. Kept me guessing and wanting more. I can't wait for her next project ❤️
I loved reading this series. Silence was a jealous and treacherous woman and I was so glad she got her krama bc she was doing too much. I was angry hat he killed Silver without knowing the truth but at least NaNa pulled though and had his son
I'm start out by saying. Why did Ice and Silver have to die?. I knew Rene and Keisha were going to get there's tho. I didn't care much for Silent at all she was very messing. I really liked the book.
