Ronnie gets the go-ahead to start up a new bakery in Texas. She finds out that her boss' brother-in-law, the famous Dane, is also going to be working there. They don't get along at first. Things slowly change and Ronnie tells Dane that she wants a baby, but he doesn't have to stick around. Dane is immediately all for having a baby- as long as he is in both of their lives.

I enjoyed reading this novella! It was short, kinky, and sweet. Four stars!

Not a lot of depth to this book...she gets an opportunity to open her own bakery but with a mean Gordon Ramsey type guy but of course he's much hotter.

He wants to bre#d her. Hmph. That's the story. the end 😂🤷

After seeing Dane Carmichael battle it out with Dominic Valenti in Falling for My Holdiate I hoped we get his HEA. I love the way this turned out. Veronica ‘Ronnie’ Ford is a career driven women set on doing life on her terms. She’s even taken steps to ensure she’ll have a family before her ‘clock’ runs out. So imagine how it goes when it comes time to tell a possible heat-of-the-moment tryst that news.

Ronnie and Dane are too cute together. They have each pined for the other for months, but never chose to act on their desires. Seeing them succumb to their wants will leave you breathless and seeking out your partner. I especially love how this wasn’t a typical epilogue baby story. We got to see her go to the doctors, and fight brain fog and fatigue. We also got to meet the little one.

These two butt heads from the beginning, but will Dane help Ronnie with her other dream? This is a well written fast paced story, with undeniable chemistry romance, love, and is a fun, entertaining, and steamy page turner.

Veronica, aka Ronnie has been given the go ahead to run a prestigious bakery in Bourban, Texas. This has been her dream all along with another dream of becoming a mom. Yes she wants a baby too. Since the owner wants the bakery to be up and running in three months he is sending his good friend Dane Carmichael to help Ronnie. At first Dane and Ronnie do not get along very well but they both have been keeping eyes on each other. There is chemistry there and when they finally get a chance to feel it Ronnie blurts out that she wants to get pregnant and Dane should cover up unless he wants to risk being a dad. When Dane finds out that Ronnie wants a baby he realizes he wants to be the baby daddy. But Dane wants to be more than just a dad, he wants to be Ronnie's everything. This is a really fast paced steamy romance with fun characters and a great HEA. Really enjoyed reading this story.

Ronnie worked her butt off and has been rewarded with her own bakery. Dane was sent in by Dominic to help her train the staff because she is known as having too soft a hand. When things get heated between them, he walks out on her after learning she wants to have a baby. He thinks she is with someone else and refuses to be "the other man". When she tells him the first time she is single, he didn't hear her. The next she tells him she plans on having a baby by AI, he tells her no. That she can have his baby, not a donor. Can he talk her into it?

Lots of different characters, fleshed out back stories as much as possible in a short. Needs a touch of editing.

Bred and Butter is the first book I have read by Heather Lauren and I am so glad the Baby Breeder series led me to her! Bred and Butter is a super steamy and swoon-worthy instalove romance. Renowned bad boy chef Dane is tasked by his brother-in-law to help get the staff trained for a new bakery location in three months' time. Veronica is being given the opportunity to run the bakery and be head baker. While they first butt heads, Dane cannot deny how much he wants Ronnie. And when he finds out that she wants to have a baby, he is intent on making sure that he's the baby daddy.

Intense chemistry, a well-written and engaging story, and a swoon-worthy hero and sassy heroine? Check. Check. And check.

Getting more than she wanted....but just what she needs

Bred and Butter by Heather Lauren is part of the multi-author Baby Breeder series. The author is newer to me and I am liking her writing style. This series is exactly what it sounds like but this story is sweeter and more romantic than some of the others. Ronnie has a new job and decides that it is time to also have a baby, even if she does not have a partner. So a donor it is but then a different kind of donor offers....a big, handsome and smexy donor who wants to do it the old fashioned way, with all the fun involved. Dane is head over for Ronnie and wants a future together. When he finds out she is ready to find a donor he offers, with the ulterior motive of also having a HEA with her and their baby. Now he just has to convince Ronnie of the plan.

This was such an amazing book. Ronnie, Veronica, is a chef and was just given her first bakery. The catches are that she has to have it up and running in 3 months and her boss’s brother-in-law, Dane will do the training. They both respect each other as Dane is a chef as well with more experience than Ronnie. They also both Java an attraction for each other.
I completely enjoyed reading this book. The way Ronnie progressively became assertive was wonderful to watch. Seeing Dane transform into a happy, content person was interesting as well. I have only read a few of this author’s books, I have enjoyed them all. She turning into a one-click author for me!.

I loved this steamy breeder romance with great characters, tons of heat, and a happy ending. Dane and Veronica meet when she’s offered the chance to run her own bakery and Dane is brought on to help train. He’s a master chef in his own right but is doing a favor for her brother-in-law. There is an instant connection between them and it’s written really well so the reader can feel their attraction. I liked that Dane didn’t go caveman until he found out she wanted a baby and he realized that he wanted to be the one to give it to her. Then he is full on breeder caveman mode in an OTT but also fantastic way. If you like possessive males, breeder romance, and OTT instalove than this should be your next book.

Ronnie's boss gives her one of his new restaurants to run that's in Texas. She's excited about it and starts making plans for her future once the place is up and running. Dane is her boss's brother-in-law, and he is coming to help get the staff ready for her. Sparks fly between them and once he learns that she plans to find a donor to have a baby Dane plans to be that man. Will this be the beginning of something between them?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. It's a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I loved Book 7 of Baby Breeder. This time we have Dane and Ronnie. Ronnie decides after her sister has a second baby that it’s time she stop waiting and have one as well, a donor will do. Dane will not have that, he will be the donor and they will love happily ever after. Now he just needs to convince Ronnie and he won’t stop until he does. This has a good story and likable characters. It is a quick read, not to long. I would definitely recommend this book and the whole series.

Hot, steamy and yummy romance that will grab you from the start. Ronnie is a successful baker who is hoping to get her own shop. When the time comes, there is a bump she did not expect, Dane.

Dane is a well-known chef whose care took a hit after his behavior on a show. Now he is opening the store and there to balance Ronnie's softer side.

Talk about heating things up in the kitchen...Ronnie and Dane story is the perfect mix that has you from the start.

I loved this installment of the Baby Breeder series. Ronnie and Dane are each on a serious emotional journey around family and what each needs from others.

Dane's growth during this installment is heartening to see. It elevates the book from just a work about breeding to a full romance, even as a slice of life.

Ronnie has her own struggles that she addresses with Dane.

The parts just fit really well with this story.

I recommend this for those who enjoy a quick and good breeding story.

It happens quickly

Dane, a celebrity chef reminiscent of Gordan Ramsey, helps Ronnie with her new bakery. Ronnie wants to have a baby. Since she’s been focused on her career for so long, having a baby has been delayed. She doesn’t share this information at first, but when the situation with Dane requires her to do so, he is all in. “Bred and Butter” is a novella, so expect everything to happen quickly, which I don’t mind. Readers should expect a lot of spicy scenes, d¡rty talk, some laçt/ @t¡on talk, and, of course, br33 /ding.

Oooooooo I was so pleasantly surprised by Ronnie not being meek and tiny - she’s compassionate and kind while also being a good boss and able to take charge running the new bakery. She’s got her dream job now - her own professional kitchen - and now she’s ready to start a family, even it’s by herself. Enter Dane, who starts off dominant and rude, who learns to back off, let Ronnie have her place, and wants to give Ronnie that family she wants. Mmmm so good! 5 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

Two chefs starting a new restaurant give into attraction that immediately turns into more when he finds out she wants a baby and he can think of nothing he wants more than to keep her and make the baby she wants with her. Ronnie is feeling that "urge" for a baby and Dane is all for helping her get what she wants, only the old fashioned way. I wasn't sure I would like Dane at first but he grew on me and I ended up loving him. This was a cute, quick and steamy read.
