That cliffhanger ending irked me, but only one volume left to go, which I appreciate, so the drama will most likely be resolved soon.
And I’m sorry, but he is a human for a LOT of this series in her room. You’re telling me her parents NEVER notice/hear someone other than her in her room or ever see any of his things there?
And where is his family? He just lives by himself? Why has he never invited her over to see where he lives?
I have SOOOOO many questions and I don’t think all will be answered in the final volume…

The thing I like most about this series is that they are being more intimate than ever but there is still a wall that they can't break together—which is the transformation. Plus, it's hilarious, and it doesn't really have much conflict. It's a light read with rolling laughs on the side. But lately, I've been just smiling to myself because of the sweetness. AND THERE IS NO FRICKEN LOVE TRIANGLE. I hate that method to create angst. But after this volume, I'm not sure anymore if this will still be love-triangle-free. Anyway, I'll still read it though. I'm super curious who that other cat is...
I might have a clue though. Bet she's a cousin... because she's a cat, you know? Bet, that's the reason why she did not transform either, because they're blood related.

Oh no! Erina’s friends saw Nekoyama turn into a cat when they kissed! Oh, nevermind, easily fixed. Meanwhile, dear old dad gets an eyeful of the family pet, just not in his pet form, and the school festival is basically an excuse to be thirsty again.
This is a basic story elevated by two very fun leads and a ridiculous premise, plus a little love of cat behaviour along the way. And that’s kind of why I love it in turn - the story has enough going on with these things that it doesn’t need to be any more complicated.
Oh, and the thirst, of course. These two are handsy as all get out and it’s not quite the whole nine yards here, Erina’s too innocent for that just yet, but it has no trouble showing you that a couple in love would be stealing affection like mad, which is more accurate than a lot of shojo.
Of course, as established, any lip kissing is strictly verboten or Nekoyama’s fursona shows up, but that does leave them, they quickly realize, with a lot of other body parts to muck around with. Cats have sensitive ears, you know?
The best chapter comes when Erina’s dad lurches into frame while Erina has Nekoyama in a very, uh, submissive situation. She attests that her dad will mistakenly think she was being all dom, but I assure you, there is no room for the word mistaken in the scenario in question. You go, girl!
Naturally this is solved by Nekoyama doing cat things and, well, there’s one universal cat behaviour he’s yet to exhibit and boy does that get milked for all it’s worth. For two cat lovers like Erina and her dad, this does make sense to bring them together again, especially since it’s hardly the most preposterous thing in this story.
The rest of the volume is focused on intense cuteness and flirting. I have never seen summer break homework done like that before and this is a very close runner-up to the dad sections for best part of the book. Dares are made and somebody bites off more than they can chew, let’s put it that way.
The festival chapter is fun because, with the mangaka having an ending in sight, it wastes no time with class voting or whatever. I still have no idea what the class is even doing; it seems to be a cosplay cafe? Maybe?
What it’s really about is our leads fumbling around about their attachment to one another and seeing the sights and learning that they may not be on the same page, but the book they’re talking about is steamy as all get out. Give these two an empty classroom and that’s about what I expect would happen.
Honestly, only the first chapter is a let-down and mostly because of how ridiculously hand-wavy it is about Erina’s friends seeing Nekoyama transform. It knows it’s being ridiculous too, which softens the blow, and the romantic frustration between the two is amusing enough.
Erina is very flustered, yet not enough to not show affection. Nekoyama is faithful and loyal and loves her dearly, but is incredibly reluctant to show that in any capacity, exactly like a cat. It gets his personality just prickly enough without being too much and he’s really thawed out as things have heated up anyway.
3.5 stars - rounded up for general feline affection on my part. With one volume left to go, I feel like this story is getting out while the getting is good and, sad as I will be to see it end, I’d rather be left wanting than fed up with something that didn’t know when to stop.

Incredibly silly as always. One of my favorite aspects about this series is how conflicts never go the way you think it would. For instance, Inui would've been the obvious choice as a rival in a love triangle. Instead, he's a super enthusiastic guy who just wants to be friends. There are a couple of instances like that in this volume. I'm not worried about that cliffhanger, because I'm sure the mangaka would come up with some wacky explanation for it.

Das war einfach zu viel für Erinas Freunde. Nachdem sie Kous Verwandlung zum Kater gesehen haben, sind sie vor Schreck in Ohnmacht gefallen. Können die Beiden es ihnen irgendwie erklären ? Aber eine brenzlige Situation jagt die nächste und plötzlich taucht ein Mädchen auf, das Kou wohl sehr gut zu kennen scheint !
Meine Meinung:
Eigentlich mag ich diese Reihe sehr gerne, das habe ich bereits in meiner Rezi zum vorherigen Band angemerkt, aber es macht mich schon etwas wütend, dass mit dem vorhandenen Potenzial so gut wie kaum etwas gemacht wird und viele interessante Situationen wieder schnell beendet werden. Das habe ich hier stark gemerkt, denn nach dem letzen Cliffhanger war ich so gespannt darauf, wie Kou und Erina mit ihrer Entdeckung durch ihre Freunde umgehen würden. Leider wurde das super schnell wieder aufgelöst und beendet. Stattdessen dümpelte die Geschichte erneut vor sich hin und außer einer erotischen Annäherung zwischen Kou und Erina passierte nicht viel.
Warum gefiel es mir dann dennoch irgendwie ? Das lag zum Teil an Erinas Vater, den ich einfach zu herrlich fand. Gegenüber Kou war er abweisend, schroff und wollte sogar, dass er sich von Erina trennt, aber bei dem Kater zeigte er so verschmuste Seiten, was zu lustig war. Mir gefiel auch die Annäherung zwischen ihm und seiner Tochter und es war toll, dass auch mal ernstere und gefühlvollere Momente aufblitzten, die retteten echt viel. Denn abseits davon gab es nicht viel. Nur das Ende und der Cliffhanger wussten wieder einmal, wie sie mich richtig kalt erwischen konnte. Da hatte ich dann auch wieder viel Hoffnung, dass sich die Geschichte doch noch wieder fangen würde.
Den Zeichenstil fand ich gut und gerade die Tiere waren so niedlich, aber mich störte es immer noch ein wenig, dass die Charaktere anscheinend nur einen Gesichtsausdruck parat hielten und permanent die Augen weit auf rissen. Zwar habe ich mich mittlerweile daran gewöhnt, aber es passte manchmal nicht so recht zu der jeweiligen Situation. Ich mochte es auch nicht so gerne, dass manche Szenen zu detailliert gezeichnet wurden und so eher wie ein Seitenfüller wirkte.
Fazit:
Es war schade, dass erneut das vorhandene Potenzial nicht genutzt wurde und viele Seiten wie Füller wirkten, anstatt die Handlung mal vorranzubringen, aber dennoch machte es gerade wegen Erinas Vater Spaß und ich fand diesen Mann einfach zu herrlich. Das Ende und der Cliffhanger machten viel Lust auf den nächsten Band und ich hoffte, dass es sich wieder fangen würde. Von mir gibt es knappe:

No és ni mig normal com m'ha arribat a agradar aquesta sèrie!!!!! :3 la premissa semblava una xorrada (que en realitat ho és), però la relació avança d'una manera molt natural i la TENSIÓ SEXUAL és espectacular!!! ♥ M'encanta que en els comentaris la gent deia que tant de bo fos smut, amb això ho dic tot ^^' Adolescents horny falling in love amb un petit twist de fantasia shapeshifter, què més es pot demanar???

Still very funny how cat like he is and that she loves the cat version of him. We have a n old romantic interest appear so that will add some conflict in the last volume. But I love the active interest and communication on their feelings and wants. This is a fun series. And I love the doggie!
