I adore both Katie and Nora, I think they are both incredible women, who have experience life events that I wouldn't wish on anyone! Such a powerful and beautiful pairing and my only wish, is to have had more time with them!

I will be reading and reviewing all the content from FtP over on Instagram.
Great anthology of smutty stories for a good cause: women's reproductive rights. The collection features 11 authors with both contemporary romance and paranormal romance. 4 contemporary stories and 7 paranormal.
I love the variety of relationships. You'll find MF, FF, MMF, and Why Choose. Love is love. Reading this anthology is an awesome experience of female empowerment and sexuality. I will definitely read all of these stories again and continue to read future works from these authors.

When she learns Tony has also been working from the inside to bring down Adley, they join forces and contact a friend of Mara's making a powerful team that just happens to also be explosive in the bedroom 😏
Ignite takes place during the events of Rebecca's Progeny Duet. There are some characters crossovers and you will get a sneaky peak at the Progeny Duet plot if you haven't read it yet.

A Siren's Christmas Carol By Salem Cross ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶🌶🌶.5 Why Choose Romance

Fated by the Lights by Scarlett Philips ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶🌶🌶.5 Why Choose
Magical world, 4 dragon Shifters, high heat spice; so good and I want more. Phoebe has a whole magical identity she didn't realize and she comes into her own power along the way and she meets 4 dragon Shifters who turn up the heat. I couldn't really ask for more in a paranormal story, but I certainly want more from this world.
Their Unfortunate Souls by River Starr ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶 🌶 🌶 🌶 FF
Little mermaid retelling vibes 🙌 A Siren and The sea witch come together to right the wrongs of their world. And TENTACLES !

A Theory of Crystal by Nicola M. Cameron ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶🌶🌶 Why Choose
I loved the the characters in this. Yelena is such a strong-willed woman 🙌 , which is not really welcome where she's from. She doesn't want to be forced into marriage, so she takes the course of her life into her own hands. The three scholars she meets are so supportive of her goals also big 🙌

This review is for Ignite by Rebecca Rathe. One of the many stories in the charity romance anthology ‘F*ck The Patriarchy’. This is a ménage romance.
Ignite is a novella that can be enjoyed as a standalone romance. Events and characters from the book do crossover with the author’s ‘Progeny Duet’. To get the maximum enjoyment out of the novella, you may wish to read ‘Progeny’ and ‘Retribution’ first.
Mara works as an assistant for an important yet corrupt man. She’s quiet, unassuming, and a bit of a wallflower. At least, that’s what she leads people to believe. Underneath her mousy appearance, Mara hides the brilliant brain of one of the country’s most powerful hackers. She’s on a mission to destroy the man and company that robbed her of her family and childhood. She’s so close she can almost taste it, she just needs a little help.
Quinn is an experienced document forger. He helps women in distress escape their abusers. He works on the side of the angels. With his surfer’s body and California good looks, the ladies have always come easy to him. Ever since he met Mara, his sights have been set on only one. When she asks him to help, he’s going to make sure that he’s indispensable to her in every way.
Tony is a security expert and amazing hacker in his own right. He works for Bennet Adley, the son of one of the most powerful men in country. When someone has the nerve to hack him, he’s intrigued enough to chance a meeting. When he realizes he’s been bestest by Mara, his mind is blown and he’s smitten. When she introduces him to Quinn, the situation only heats up.
Can these three vigilante heroes work together to bring down a criminal organization? Can they avenge Mara’s family? Will the forces mounting against them, drive them apart or bring them together?
For fans of Rathe’s ‘Progeny Duet’ this is an absolute MUST READ! You get behind the scenes access and extra snippets of your favorite characters. Then there is a HUGE…SURPRISE! But SPOILERS! For new fans, this is a great introduction. This was an amazing read. The characters were witty and funny. The action was dramatic and intense. The story flowed so well that I finished it in one sitting. I can’t praise this enough. It was everything I hoped for and then it delivered more. Fan-Feckin-Tastic! I wish I could give it more stars.
A brilliant selection of short stories and an amazing way to find new to me authors to enjoy.
I initially read this anthology because there was a story from one author I knew and wanted to read, and I stayed and thoroughly enjoyed reading all the stories. As a result I have discovered many new authors to binge read and extended my TBR list even further.
And with the added bonus that it benefits a charity.
Overall review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 I love all the strong females in these novellas! Honestly it was so amazing to read these stories especially with everything going on in the world. I loved how in such a short story I truly fell in love with some of the characters (many I wished we had full length books on) Many of the guys were cinnamon rolls which was a nice change up from my normal reads. Having more dominant a d confidence women really empowered me during this reading. Below I did a quick review of each novella. Highly recommend this book!
Ignite by rebecca rathe review: Mara, Tony, Rutherford (quinn) Corporate espionage, revenge, stranger things vibe M/M/F Quinn and Mara have some hx, Quinn seem fluid, Tony curious The bedroom scene when they first wake up at Tony's 🔥🔥🔥 Love how there love develops in a progressive way. Epilouge ends in a mini cliffhanger but this novella is a stand alone in a universe so the ending makes sense. Favorite quote: "I need you both inside me. I want you to fill me up, to pin me like you’re f**king each other with my body between you.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Remnants By: D.J. Krimmer review Kaitlin, Nora Infidelity, forbidden love, abuse, religious bullying. F/F Kaitlin's abusive husband is James, pressured into getting married. Sister used past to do this. Sounds like she been gay all her life but parents are religious so they covered it up/tried to change her Nora has a limp from her time in the military does a great job in such a short story to address her ptsd and her leg prosthetic. Favorite quote: happy, comfortable and not alone ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 not for writing style or story both were great! this one just pushed some of my triggers a little more than I thought.
Kissing Under the Snow By: S.J. Ransom Martin, Amaya. Claire is villian M/F Age gap, instant love, protection Martin works at a happy endings massage place its how him and Amaya meet. Everyone at school calls her piggy butt but i haven't seen anything from her description that warrants that. Maybe a backstory I missed? Age gap how old is Martin-mentions owing the business for 18 years. So maybe 36? Ends really abruptly. Honestly it was all over the place. Lots of story lines but no real endings. The ones off the top of my head: We had Bully Claire storyline, Claire's mom bullied the guys. The guys getting their own land/building. Lots of things hinted at. If this was a prequel or an excerpt maybe but a little all over the place for a novella. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just a Taste By: Scarlett Chase M/F Roommates, Domme Roban, Lina Lina is a Domme and Roban is her roommate who works in tech. Love the writing style reminds me of Fleabag we get Lina inner thoughts and they are hilarious Super cute novella takes places one night between roommates and we see them have an amazing night together. Favorite quote: "the kinky sex" ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A Siren’s Christmas Carol By: Salem Cross Paranormal book Why choose book Sero, Citon, Rokin, nixie Dragon shifters Girl interest is a sassy Siren that was in the lake on their vacation property she saves Rokin when he falls into the lake during an ice hockey game Takes her back after saving attraction is instant essentially. They think they are mates but unsure. After a mini conflict with a local they admit they are mates. Favorite quote: “I knew the minute I pulled Rokin out of the water,” she pauses as she considers her next words. “But how do you tell three incredibly attractive men that she belongs to all three of them? Especially after admitting her family likes to eat people on occasion.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Midsommer, but Sexy By: Aletha Faust FF/ Paranormal Jenna, Bruinda Bruinda is a Bear shifter. Our shifters are much more magical based which I love! Much more in tune with their animals vs other shifter books I've read. Very fitting for a Finland setting. They are so intune with their animal wide as well as how they shift and their clothes are unique to their animal. Jenna comes across a shifter ceremony once she does a midsommer ritual. Such a disappointment on the boyfriend end because Jenna seemed invested but lord Bruinda and her have chemistry and fire. She did give him a goodbye and ending but he didn't care not until that Bear came charging 😉 I wish this one was a whole book. I'd love to know more about the rituals, how our shifters are different in this world and honestly if Jenna gets used to living with Bruinda. Favorite quote: “You are bold enough to disobey me, so let’s see if you are strong enough to handle the punishment.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fated by the Lights By: Scarlett Philips Why choose/ Paranormal Phoebe/Ravi/Elio/Rakesh/Zeki On her 26th birthday she wished on the Aurora borealis for a life filled with beauty and grace and four dragon shifters showed up claiming her a human as their mate. She didn't believe until proof and then her twist in all this is adorable. Book just ends at the semi stopping point of the spice. I would have loved to know more about the cabin, why they were so upset with them leaving the training grounds, how is Phoebe now that she has powers. I would love to read a full length of this. And see what else happens in this world. Favorite quote: “My job is done, then. Sorry boys, but I’ve raised the bar. We’re going to have to kill her with orgasms every night for the rest of her life now,” Rakesh gloats. ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Their Unfortunate Souls By: River Starr F/F Sirens and a sea witch Nereida, Csilla Sirens are dying and the king won't help despite it being his guard against monsters. So Nereida using a summoning spell to bring the legendary sea witch to her. Instant attraction. Very much a darker spicy little mermaid. Tentacles come into play in a very hot way. Favorite quote:“I owe you,” Csilla said against my hot skin. “You will not touch me tonight. Just enjoy, little siren. Nereida.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The QT Chromosome By: Sienna Swift Hailey, Nick, Carson MMF Hailey is a scientist running a research project on shifters. Nick is her research partner. Carson she meets in a bar has a one night stand with but ends up being a research volunteer. He is smitten. He brings her flowers daily until she asks him out on a date. After a confusing night Carson drops the bomb Hailey is his mate and they both like Nick. They then agree to date and after some quirky logical thinking everyone is on board. Favorite quote: “Ahem,” I said. “If Nick could please f*ck me now, that would be great. And Carson, please let me s**k your c**k.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Crowns of Unity By: N.A. Jameson Regan, Basil, Paxton, Hawke, Zane, Axl Why choose The boys make a blood pack to have one mate, to unite their kingdoms in the future. They are from 5 Fae kindgoms Once they make this pack no sex with any other fae but humans ok. Now present day we meet Regan at a bar searching for a fix. Cause we are impowered and need lots of love. Hawke is there and they hook up but during something happens and mate bond snaps. Hawke is pissed Regan confused. Regan is a succubus but she didn't know. The boys are all kinds of conflicted they ignore her, try to resist and then finally give in to mate bonds. Again I'd read a full novel on these guys. Favorite quote: Her name is Regan and she’s... f**king perfect. She’s pure light; you’ll see for yourselves soon enough.”...“Of course, she’s also a feisty independent brat too. And right now she’d love nothing more than to rip me to shreds.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A Theory of Crystal By: Nicola M. Cameron Yelena, Ivan, Dmytro, Oleksander Why choose Set in Nicola M. Cameron’s magical Paladins of Crystal series, is the story of Yelena Kozar, and 3 handsome scholars Yelena didn't want to get married so she runs away dressed as a boy and becomes assistant to our 3 handsome scholars. One night during a bath her secret is discovered but they are all supportive. We stan Papa Georg. Like for real. This man is she true mvp of this story. He has supported his daughter since day 1. Favorite quote: “Let me know when you need refills— I’ve got the plants growing in the palace gardens. And if you ever do want to get pregnant, just stop taking them and start jumping all three of your guys at the same time.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Getting smutty for a cause! This anthology is chock full of powerful women who aren’t afraid to get down and dirty with their partner(s). Here’s some tidbits from my favorites without giving up too many spoilers!
Ignite by Rebecca Rathe starts the anthology off, giving us readers a panty melting ménage story filled with action, intensity, and all the spice!
Remnants by DJ Krimmer gets a major trigger warning, but delivers a beautiful F/F love story to come out of dire circumstances and it is just everything!
Just a Taste by Scarlett Chase leaves you dying for more! Scarlett Chase delivers clever and fun banter between characters like no one else can! Linas Domme attitude and empowering outlook on sex is freaking fantastic! And her guiding Roban through their time together is so freaking hott!!
A Sirens Christmas Carol by Salem Cross is an excellent short story! It’s a steamy, hot PNR reverse harem featuring some seriously sexy dragons and the siren that turns their world upside down.
Fated by the Lights by Scarlett Phillips has the super hot dirty talk on lock down, but has such a great storyline, that I’m really going to need a novel out of this!! I want more!
Crowns of Unity by N.A Jameson is a fantastic short story, reverse harem, PNR story. Jameson gives us a female main character who isn’t afraid of her sexuality and demanding what she wants. It has all the female empowerment and all the spice! It’s a complete story that was so entertaining.
A Theory of Crystal by Nicola Cameron has amazing character development that features a FMC doing anything she can to obtain the future she wants - even if that means pretending to be a man. She’s smart, witty, and falls for three scholarly men she meets along the way in this super well written PNR reverse harem story.
There are other fantastic stories in this collection and is well worth the price of admission, which all goes to protecting women’s reproductive rights! What better way to try new authors out than also doing it to support women’s rights!
So my review will focus on Scarlett’s book “Just a taste”. I enjoyed each anthology in this series but I this one was definitely in my top five. I love the change in dynamic, how it’s not a brooding alpha and a scared little omega. Instead it’s one Bad a$$ woman who knows how to work that bed room, and a tame male. I loved the fun banter back and forth, especially the Monopoly comparison. This was a short read but still very spicy. If you like a story line that builds up to the smut this this one is for you. The whole anthology can be for you as well. Thank you Scarlett for showing that woman can be the doms in some cases, and we should never be ashamed of that.
There's so much content in this book so I will organize this by breaking down each story with a separate review and rating.
Ignition Spice 5/5 Storyline 3/5 This is a MMF between Mara, Quinn and Tony. The three work together to take down a BioMed company involved in human trafficking but the amount of times they manage to have sex in between is a bit confusing. When people's lives are at stake, there should be no time to waste and yet the three engage in MANY encounters until their mission is completed. I didn't understand why a relationship wasn't built more between Tony and the other two... Quinn and Mara already have a past so they don't need to establish more but the two hardly know anything about Tony and quickly jump into bed with him.
Remnants Spice N/A Storyline 4/5 A contemporary FF which isn't my taste/preference so I didn't want to leave a spice review. The storyline in itself is emotionally powerful. Kaitlin comes from an abusive marriage as her family pushed her into marrying this man because of his money and status. Nora just moved in across the street and has a difficult past. Nora sees the pain that Kaitlin is in, so she steps forward to help Kaitlin. I admired the love and connection that came from these two, and the convenience of her moving right across the street.
Kissing Under the Snow Spice 0/5 Storyline 0/5 I was so uncomfortable throughout this whole story (MF-just barely legal F). Martin, a massage therapist, meets Amaya who is 18. Let me stress, JUST TURNED 18 THREE WEEKS AGO and Martin is in his 30s (I believe 36)... The amount of times this man growled and called her 'precious' was so disturbing. Amaya doesn't know any better as her parents died and she is being harshly bullied at school. She has a lot of insecurities and very low self-esteem due to her bully, Claire, body shaming and turning most of the school against her. She exclaims what Martin is showing her must be what love is but this is so wrong. He's clearly unhealthily possessive of her.
Just a Taste ⭐️ (My most favorite) Spice 6/5 Storyline 6/5 Love by convenience (MF); Lina and Ro are roommates and are celebrating their one year anniversary together. During a game of truth or dare, they start to learn about each other more and explore topics of sexuality. Lina is an experienced Domme with hidden feelings for Ro; so the game is also a test of his true feelings and comfortability. Together, they end up having an intense night. It's a shorter read of this series but it's just enough to keep you hooked! Lots of kinkiness without anything cringey.
A Siren's Christmas Carol Spice 2/5 Storyline 2/5 I'm not a huge fan of paranormal romances, so this story of a siren and three dragons didn't really bode well. Aside from the romance, the storyline itself felt off. The dragon shifters are looking for a mate to help run their family business. There's not a lot of discussion of what the business is, but when a siren rescues one of them from drowning in icy waters, they quickly mate with her and decide she's "the one". Even if you change it to four humans it wouldn't make a difference in the lack of interest and detail for the storyline overall.
Midsommer, But Sexy Spice 0/5 Storyline 3/5 Again, not really into the paranormal stuff so a bear shifter didn't really do much for me. Jenna is feeling unloved and unsatisfied by her boyfriend Travis. She stumbles upon a shifter world and meets Bruinda (the bear shifter) who changes Jenna's perspective of love and life. I enjoyed Bruinda lifting Jenna's confidence and treating her better than her shitty boyfriend but the romance didn't do anything for me.
Fated by The Lights Spice 3/5 Storyline 4/5 Ok, I know I said I wasn't really into the paranormal stuff but this one was better. Phoebe, an orphan, was raised not understanding her magic. She knew there was a fascination with Aurora lights but couldn't understand why. Meanwhile, Ravi, Elio, Zeki and Rakesh sought out Phoebe knowing she's their mate. The romance was tied in nicely to the actual storyline and it wasn't overwhelming.
Their Unfortunate Souls Spice N/A Storyline N/A Honestly I couldn't finish this one as I was so bored and uninterested. Leaving a review feels biased so I'm just going to leave it as I skipped most of the pages.
The QT Chromosome Spice 5/5 Storyline 5/5 Hailey previously lost her partner, Quinn, and doesn't believe in dating as she already met her one true love. After meeting Carson, he teaches her the heart has room for more than one person. She is more open to the idea of dating and continues a romantic situationship with Carson. In this, her coworker Nick becomes intertwined for a spicy yet loving MMF. Honestly loved the story as each character had their own personality and relevance aside from the romance aspect.
Crowns of Unity Spice 5/5 Storyline 4/5 Regan hooks up with someone who happens to be a prince unleashing a hidden power in her. Zane, Hawke, Paxton, Axl and Basil previously made a pact that they would not find their mate. Once they all connect with Regan, they cannot deny their strong bonds. I enjoyed the storyline behind the romance and there's even an epilogue from Regan's future POV. A spicy combination of MF and MMF.
A Theory of Crystal Spice 3/5 Storyline 4/5 Yelena avoids a forced marriage by fleeing to start her own life. She disguises herself as a man befriending Dimytro, Oleks and Ivan. Once they realize 'Yul' is Yelena, they form a relationship. Sometimes the dialogue was a little awkward and corny. I'm glad they gave Yelena a personality and strong will, but overall not one of my favorites.

I honestly don't know what my favorite story was in this Anthology. Every single author brought their A game to share with us for such a feat and important cause. There was a little bit if everything. It's Thiccc but with short stories so easy to read a little at a time.
If you haven't picked it up you definitely should.
A Siren's Christmas Carol- Salem Cross/PNR WC 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Dragon shifters, a siren...what more could you ask for. For a short novella this was packed with emotion and heat!

This feels like fated mates but everyone decides they would rather not be tied down at all until they don't. It's fun and a fresh take on fae and their world.
Their Unfortunate Souls-River Starr/FF 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Sirens, a Sea Witch and ummm...tentacles. oh yes! Slight Ariel/Little Mermaid vibes but oh so much better!
It was a rocky start into the story since I wasn’t familiar with it but I liked how it developed. The note of romance here and there, the bonding and the falling in love of three people were all wonderful. The action at the side was also interesting and never made a moment dull. I really liked it and I might consider checking out the actual story but I saw that it’s rather about Bennet than Mara & Co. so maybe not. Anyways threesomes are so hot ;)
Remnants — 2 Stars
I couldn’t really get into the story and I just wanted it to end. Maybe I’m just not the contemporary, slow, country love type or whatever and I need at least some action but yeah. It annoyed me and I wanted to punch the husband the whole time he’s disgusting. It also weirds me out that Mac donated his sperm like uhm? but whatever, despite it being w short story I think it did well to include the traumas the two MCs had. It’s not my cup of tea but it wasn’t bad.
Kissing under the snow — 1 star
First of all I was so confused with massages & sex ?? But it was interesting made me continue reading and be invested lol. Then came the “bully” story, the dumb jealousy, the weird character development (audden confidence and then it goes away again??) and Martin being like a creepy stalker lmfao. It made zero sense as well as the random ass plot twists (joseph’s random son) and the mini drama that doesn’t hit anything ??? And Martin’s pov being full of horny shit and raging … and how they have a solution to their problem in 5 seconds. The whole story is just weirding me out …
Just a taste — 4 Stars
I really liked this story and it was cute to see their relationship play out. They are adorable and the spiciness was good (lol). I’d deffo read more of them if there was. Idk what else to say so I’ll end it here but it’s goooooood.
A siren’s christmas carol — 3 Stars
A really cute and adorable story, best read during christmas/ snowy time wrapped in a blanket with hot chocolate. (I’m reading it in summer so rip). It was interesting to see dragon shifters & sirens but I really liked the story and it made my heart warm. The stalker thing was so random and idk why it always has to be part of the plot but it didn’t bother me too much.
Midsommer, but sexy — 3 Stars It’s weird to read about bear shifters and it was confusing but not bad?? Idk ?? The couple is really cute tho and I am glad she left that travis dude for the bear shifter lol. It’s weird she went naked to him to break up but whatever girlie. idk what else to say but it’s a nice story.
Fated by the lights — 3 Stars
It was quite a nice story, I enjoyed it and it was cute, but there was hints to more (the queen?? the “king”?? also does she see her bff again??) that left me wanting more lol but idk if the author has this series written or if it was just an idea for this short story. Anyways the four dragons r so adorable help but the dirty talk was really weird tbh i was cringing. it’s a good story but it kinda ended up with nothing like there’s just too much left unsaid and undiscovered which kind of bothers me
Their unfortunate souls — 3 Stars
A really nice and cute book. It’s like what if Ariel and Ursula fell in love lol. It was short but fulfilling. Also the steamy scenes were hot lol. I enjoyed discovering the conspiracies and diving into the feelings of our couple. The ending was short but still fulfilling. Maybe deeper feelings and longer scenes and more explaining would’ve been better but it’s still good.
The qt chromosome — 4 Stars
A very cute story that easily leads you into the premise and makes reading fun. I really enjoyed it and the slightly deeper themes like Carson’s stand on love. I like the character development and them all realising their feelings for each other was the cutest. I’m also kind of glad that they didn’t have drunk sex it made the situation sm better. The characters are also all unique and I love how they were carefully worked out. A really enjoyable story
Crowns of unity — 3 Stars
This story was kinda random but also cute. The five faes are cool but I wish we would’ve seen more of their brotherly bond especially with Basil being left out for years like hello?? Also the solution to their problems was so… simple and not anything mind breaking but okay. And them being kings & queen must’ve been a struggle too like it abruptly ended and then there was a sequel but like obviously they are all still in some ways immature and reading about that would’ve been nice tho. So it’s cute but there are some things bothering me.
A theory of crystal — 3 Stars
This story was really adorable and heart warming. Empowering woman is always a good read, the end was a bit idk weird?? it was rushed and out of nowhere the grand empress helps hello what?? but wtv. It’s cute and I really like the writing style even tho it was weird to get acquainted with it in the beginning

This Anthology was written beautifully by all 11 authors, and you’ll definitely feel like all of the FMC’s are empowered. Some of our FMCs are strong within their own right, some need a little coaxing, and others are *chefs kiss*. I’ll breakdown the stories, tittles, and what category they are real quick and below I’ve done a review on each story.
In total there are 11 stories:
4 Stories are Contemporary 🏙 7 Stories are Paranormal 💫
4 Why Choose: A Sirens Christmas Carol by Salem Cross - 💫 Crowns of Unity by N.A Jameson - 💫 A Theory of Crystal by Nicola Cameron - 💫 Fated by the Lights by Scarlett Phillips - 💫
2 MMFs: Ignite by Rebecca Rathe - 🏙 The QT Chromosome by Sienna Swift - 💫
2 MFs: Kissing Under the Snow- SJ Ransom - 🏙 Just a Taste by Scarlett Chase - 🏙

Ignite by Rebecca Rathe- MMF - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💫
This was one of the stories that I was most excited to read about when I learned about this anthology coming out. Rebecca has a series that ties into this book, but it can be read as a standalone without feeling like you’re missing something. If you’re curious as to her previous books it’s called the Progeny Duet.
The FMC Mora isn’t who she outwardly portrays herself to be. Outside, she’s a wallflower, quiet. But on the inside, she is a brilliant hacker, and on a mission to take down the man and company who took away her childhood and family. She enlists the help of Quinn who’s an experienced document forger, usually helping women escaping their abusers, and Tony who’s a security expert, as well as a hacker. He works for Bennet Adley, who is from the Progeny duet.
I loved seeing Tony again, and watching him work with Quinn and Mora was very exciting. The story flowed great, and I really enjoyed this story, and the fun surprise 😉.
Remnants by DJ Krimmer - FF - 🌟🌟🌟🌟 This was my first read by DJ, and it was a very interesting read. I don’t usually read FF books, I am more of a Why Choose fan or menage. That being said, DJ is a fabulous writer, and I loved how relatable her characters were, and the real life issues they were going through.
I liked Katie and Nora, and you could definitely feel through the writing how hard their experiences were on them. They’re both amazing characters, and I was so glad that they got their HEA in the end! This was also a “heavier” read, so double check the TW before reading this novella.
Kissing Under the Snow- SJ Ransom- MF - 🌟🌟🌟.5
I felt like this story was a perfect introduction to SJ Ransom and her writing. I haven’t read her books, but we get to see her creativeness shine through. We also get a snippet of darkness, 🌶, and love in this book.
This couple doesn’t have it particularly easy in this story. There is an age gap, the FMC is 18, and there’s a, very different type of service going on 😉. There’s town drama, OW drama, dramatics, and a few snippets that we could get other books for the other guys that Martin is friends with. Amaya, oh she’s so sweet and innocent but she does have a backbone, when she has the support.
I am glad that they get their HEA in the end, I just wish the story was a bit more cohesive.
Just a Taste by Scarlett Chase- MF - 🌟🌟🌟🌟
WOW, I was pleasantly surprised by this book, I don’t think I’ve read many books with female doms, if any. And I really liked how amazingly Scarlett wrote Lina’s character as well as Ro’s! There is funny banter between the two characters, and I love the outlook on s3x, and how empowering taking control of your sexuality!
This was a great read, and I loved reading something new and different for me from a new author! I hope that she writes more about this couple, or something similar!
A Sirens Christmas Carol by Salem Cross- WC - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💫
The reason I originally found out about this anthology was because Salem informed her group that she was working on a story. And I have read almost every book written by Salem, her stories, world building and creativity never ceases to amaze me. By the title you can guess that our FMC is a Siren, Nixie is half human half Siren, and she is in the right place right time when she meets the guys. Citon, Sero & Rokin are on a bit of a holiday retreat, to gather themselves before they must get “serious” and settle down, per their father’s words.
The Cage brothers are habitually single, don’t take work seriously, but their father forces them to get serious quick. It’s a cute, small town happenstance meeting, with city boys and a Florida girl. Since Nixie is half human, she came come out of the water unlike her sisters, and can turn “off” her calling power.
I loved how things finally came together for all of them, it made me laugh, and it was perfect. The guys balance each other out, and their animals (I want you to read what they are). I truly hope Salem writes a full novel on them, balancing life, the guys taking on responsibilities, meeting the families, etc.
Midsommer, but Sexy by Aletha Faust - FF- 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Whew, the 🌶 in this short story was definitely at a high level! So I’m just going to say that Travis is an ass, and doesn’t deserve Jenna, at all. When Jenna plans a romantic getaway for her and Travis, to reconnect, she got a bit more than she bargained for.
We meet Bruinda, who is a bear shifter, and after doing a ritual to find her mate, which may be Jenna. She feels a connection with her, but being a shifter, she was a bit worried about it lasting. It would be interesting to read more about these two, or see other characters in this shifter world.
Fated by the Lights by Scarlett Phillips- WC 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💫
This story along with Salem’s & N.A. held the most promise for the possibility of a complete book of the characters. This was one of the most lighthearted stories, and I think it fit perfectly. The FMC Phoebe is a human living in a shifter town, and is completely obsessed with Aurora Borealis even her job involves showing tourists. We see a bit of the guys before they meet Phoebe and we get a bit of a backstory about them and how they find their mate.
Her mates, Ravi - golden dragon, Rakesh (Ravi’s twin) - silver dragon, Elio - red dragon, and Zeki - black dragon. They are are so excited to have found their mate, with their pack link they keep each other in balance (sometimes 😉). The inner monologue of the characters is so funny especially Phoebe when she first sees them. Also, if you love dirty talking guys, these guys are IT 🥵. I truly hope that their story is continued on in another book.
Their Unfortunate Souls - RIver Starr - FF - 🌟🌟🌟🌟
If you’re thinking of a popular song from the little mermaid, your spot on for what this story plays a twist on. We do have a siren instead of a mermaid and a sea witch. The Sirens are dying, and unfortunately the king isn’t looking to help even though they are his protection against monsters.
Nereida (our siren) used a summoning spell to bring the sea witch to her, and they have instant attraction. It’s 🌶 than the original telling, and some tentacles come into play. Csilla and Nereida make a great story and it was so fun to read this story.
The QT Chromosome by Sienna Swift - MMF - 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I loved meeting Hailey, Carson and Nick! It was a great fun read, and I like how their relationship really compliments one another so nicely. Carson may be my favorite from this trio, his outlook on life and how he’s so dedicated to Hailey.
When Hailey first meets Carson, she was just looking for fun, just for a night. But Carson doesn’t want just one night, and tries to change her mind, giving their relationship a chance. Her best friend Nick, helps her go out with Carson again. And things change over.
Crowns of Unity by N.A Jameson - WC - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💫
This story, put me through so many emotions while I was reading it. N.A. Jameson really draws you in and makes you want more, even though we have a HEA. I really want to read more about these characters! I did not get enough with this short story. The FMC Regan is a sassy woman who takes charge of her sexuality, and isn’t afraid to show it. But there’s a huge twist, she isn’t as she seems, and neither is the guy she meets at a bar.
After she meets all the MMCs, Pax, Basil, Hawke, Zane and Axl, we are in for a bit of an emotional ride. I was SO glad to be seeing the guys POV in this book cause MAN, they were freaking MEAN. Obviously, you’ll see why they do what they do, and how Regan copes. Once you read this you’ll see what i’m talking about.
A Theory of Crystal by Nicola Cameron - WC 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💫
This story was the most intriguing one, we’re set in a completely different world called Magical Paladins of Crystal. Where certain women are very fertile and the men must marry in groups of 3 if they wish to carry on their bloodline. Our FMC Yelena does not want to be used just to wed men, have babies and take care of the household. But, her mother won’t hear it, she’s one of many children and all of her sisters are happily married off, having babies. After leaving, and disguising herself, 3 scholars come across her and ask for her help after she shares that she can write, and is intelligent. The MMCs, Ivan, Dmytro and Oleksander have different quirks, and the cutest one is that they get “blinders” on when they’re excited about a discovery or the possibility of one.
Even though this was my first read by Nicola, I was immediately drawn into this world, rooting for Yelena to gain her freedom, and so much more. The plot comes completely full circle by the end of this and I love how it was written. These 3 men are all amazing, and them being so supportive of her was great to see. There are a few twists and turns, and a surprise visit from someone you won’t see coming.
tldr; this is an amazing collection of short stories. It’s also a great way to dive into new categories of reading that you may have never tried before. I found new authors that I’d like to read more by, as well as hoping that authors I already love will hopefully be writing more about the stories I fell in love with. Plus, this supports an amazing cause! F*ck the Patriarchy 😉
Review for “A Siren’s Christmas Carol” By Salem Cross
Is a cute spicy novella about three brothers who have no wish to find a mate. Due to the pressure of finding their mate from their father they end up visiting their childhood Christmas cabin, while there they get a Christmas surprise of finding their mate.
I really enjoyed this novella so much I read it twice! The story was satisfyingly sweet and spicy! I would say it gives off hallmark but spicy vibes.
F*ck The Patriarchy: Getting smutty for the cause is a charity anthology with short stories by different authors. Here are some of my favorites from this book: Just A Taste By: Scarlett Chase A Sirens Christmas Carol By: Salem Cross Fated By The Lights By:Scarlett Phillips Crowns Of Unity By: N. A. Jameson
Great anthology of smutty stories for a good cause: women's reproductive rights. This book contains 11 different authors with both contemporary and paranormal romances. You'll find many different story lines from MF, FF, MMF, and why choose. I will definately be reading all these stories again.
Ignite by Rebecca Rathe. This novella contains alot of MFM, MF, or MM.
The main female character is awesome. She ends up joining forces with some men to take down Jackson Adley and his company. Tony is who she meets first and they end up teaming up once they realize he also has been working from inside the company to take it down.Lets leave the third character to surprise, he definitely brings the heat inside and outside of the bedroom.
Remnants by D.J. Krimmer FF Romance
Two ladies who show the many different sides of strength and who make each other stronger.
Kissing under the snow by S.J. Ransom MF Age Gap Virigin FMC
this novella was short, sweet and spicy from the beginning. The main character is my favorite as she learns to navigate her strength.
Just a Taste by Scarlett Chase MF Romance
This was spicy from the beginning, and the FMC brings the heat with her roommate and explores her Femme Dom kink with him.
A Sirens Christmas Carol By Salem Cross Why Choose
Three dragon shifter brothers who dont see themselves setting down with a mate anytime soon, come across a Siren when she tries to save one of their lives.
Its definitely spicy with the right about of banter from the characters.
Midsommer but sexy by Aletha Faust FF Romance
This one is my favorite paranormal novella in this book. The main FMC doesnt feel the love from her boyfriend while they are on this amazing trip, she encounters a female bear shifter and the female bear shifter finally sees who for who she is.
Fated by the lights by Scarlett Phillips. Why Choose
Magical world, four dragon shifters, the spice level was off the charcters. The main character comes into her magical powers having no idea what she was. She meets the 4 dragon shifters and the spice just rolls off the pages. I would love to see more of this world with them.
Their Unfortunate Souls by River Star. FF
Defiantely gives off little mermaid vibes. A siren and the sea witch comes together to right the wrongs of whats left in the world.
The QT Chromosome by Sienna Swift MMF
The main character of the book is a female, she is very smart and driven within this novella. The whole book of characters just complemented each other
Crowns of Unity by N.A. Jameson Why Choose
Fae chooses spice, but they dont want to settle down anytime soon. Cool world to live in.
A Theory of Crystal by Nicola M. Cameron Why Choose
Yelena is a strong willed woman and when she meets the three scholars they take support in her goals and make use of their big hands.
Ignite- Rebecca Rathe 5 stars. Ménage (MMF). Multi POV. This was fun and hot. I don’t think I’ve read this author previously but I will definitely be reading her books now. I haven’t read Progeny yet and had no trouble following this story though it does have major spoilers for that duet and I am planning on reading it now. ** This novella is a standalone accompaniment to The Progeny Duet. You do not have to read Progeny or Retribution to enjoy this story, however it contains spoilers if you choose to read them in the future**
Remnants-D.J. Krimmer 4 stars. FF. I did have to skip/skim some parts because I could not deal with it and wanted to punch him but he doesn’t exist so for my peace of mind I skipped those parts. Disabled rep: Nora has a prosthetic (army incident), PTSD. Major trigger warning for dieting, fat shaming, weight control, SA, physical abuse, emotional abuse. There is cheating but you want her to cheat (read the synopsis).
Kissing Under the Snow- S.J. Ransom I skipped this one. Just wasn’t in the mood for a major age gap and trembling MC.
Just a Taste-Scarlett Chase 4.5 stars. Woman domme, roommate situation. Very hot friends to lovers. It’s just the one chapter (decent length though). A very apt title 😂.
A Siren’s Christmas Carol- Salem Cross 4 stars. RH. Instant attraction and basically instant acting on the attraction. Pretty cute. Dragon shifter brothers and a siren.
Midsommer, but Sexy- Aletha Faust 5 stars. FF. Bear shifter and human. A good story line and some steamy scenes.
Fated by the Lights- Scarlett Philips 4.5 stars. RH. Dragon shifters, mates. An entire plot line but it is a novella type story. There are steamy scenes too. Unclear if this is a small snippet of a larger book because it did seem like there was hints at more things.
Their Unfortunate Souls- River Starr 4.5 stars. FF. Little mermaid-ish but the sea witch is hot and the good guy? Whole plot in this short story and some steam.
The QT Chromosome -Sienna Swift 4 stars. MMF. Shifters and humans (just normal steamy scenes). Cute
Crowns of Unity- N.A. Jameson 4 stars. RH. Multi POV. This was good but would be great as a full novel. Like can you imagine the pining and tension and groveling that would be needed??
A Theory of Crystal- Nicola M. Cameron 4 stars. RH. multi POV. Another good one and it’s set in a world she does have other books in.
I loved what this book stood for and the 11 stories each resonated with me for different reasons. If you're looking for a read that hits you in all the feels this book is for you. These authors took some awesome FMC's and created stories that could have been full books. Instead we have short stories that pack a punch and each one also deals with a problem that we may have seen or dealt with in our everyday life. I'm not going to break each story down but the book deals with everything from bullying, s3xual abuse in a marriage, to gender identification. Taking charge of one's sexuality, being incharge of when you have children, having access to plan B, Why-Choose, FF, menage. I loved the idea of the book being contemporary romance and PNR WHY-CHOOSE. You can choose which story to read or skip a story if you're not comfortable with the trigger warnings. I loved the honest conversations that were had with in some of the stories and how open the females were about their sexuality and their wants and needs. I will say that two specific PNR WHY-CHOOSE RH stories I would love to read more of. They would be A Siren's Christmas Carol by Salem Cross and Crowns of Unity by N.A. Jameson. Both stories were complete and had HEA, but I wanted to know so much more about the characters. My hat's off to each and every one of the authors Rebecca Rathe, D.J. Krimmer, SJ Ransom, Scarlett Chase, Salem Cross, Aletha Fraust, Scarlett Philips, River Starr, Sienba Swift, N.A. Jameson and Nicola M. Cameron. Some of you were new to me authors a few I've read before, now I will be checking out more of your work. Thank you for these works of art.
I really enjoyed this anthology and bonus that it was for a great cause! Scarlett Chase and Rebecca Rathe wrote my favorites, Just a Taste and Ignite.
Just a Taste - Scarlett Chase Love a Dom female teaching the male. I'm used to the opposite and this is just empowering. I loved that they are roommates about to explore their attraction and kept the rules simple. I want to know more about Lina and Roban and how their future together turns out.
Ignite - Rebecca Rathe This MFM grabs you from the start. The attraction is immediate and I love the dynamic between Tony, Mora and Quinn as they navigate taking down BioCere. They work so well together and reading their story was intense. I'd definitely read more about these charaters.
Overall, the stories in this anthology were well written and I enjoyed different genres such as paranormal that I normally do not read. Definitely worth a read!
This was a wonderful collection of short stories from multiple authors. I enjoyed reading through each. They are all stand alone stories and are not connected. I love that these authors came together to raise money for a good cause.
This is a fun read. I found some new authors and enjoyable stories by authors I've already read. It is a phenomenal read. They really outdid themselves with this book. It just goes to show you what you can do with determination. These stories are all beautiful and unique.
The main characters, Roban and Lina are celebrating a year living together. The scenes in this are nice and spicy. Their hot game of truth or dare changes their relationship 🔥
I was lucky enough to get this as an ARC and overall I really enjoyed it. There’s a wide range of different stories here, both contemporary and supernatural, with a mix of gender pairings (plus some poly groupings). I liked some of the stories more than others - I’m not a personal fan of MF age gap romance. Some stories had more plot than others, some were more steamy. One thing they all had in common was being well written - a couple of times I was like “where’s the rest of the story! I need more!” Overall, I think there’s a little something for everyone in this anthology.
A fun, but very long, anthology with a decent amount of variety. I liked most of the stories but really struggled with "Kissing Under the Snow" which felt unpolished amd poorly written. Some of the RH stories get a but repetitive. Each author had solid world building in the paranormal section.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This anthology was full of the Frack you energy and I was totally here for it! Overall I really did enjoy this book even though there was a few stories I wasnt quite fond of.
1. Ignite by Rebecca Rathe 4/5 -Loved this cute little MMF. The relationship that developed between the 3 main characters was amazing to read about. Unfortunately it was hard to keep the side characters apart. (i.e. the guys that were around Bennett apart, at least for me it was hard.) I did love the plot.
2. Remnants by DJ Krimmer 5/5 -This was an amazing FF story to read. even though it touched on some very dark subjects it was done in a way that you dont focus on it. You focus on the 2 main females and that you root for them.
3. Kissing Under the Snow by SJ Random 3/5 -I love age gap. And stories about finding yourself. This book did that for me as we got to see Amaya Blossom. Unfortunately I just couldnt get into the book. The characters just didnt seem genuine and the story didnt pull me in like it was supposed to. However I did like the background of Martin. That was an amazing profession.
4. Just a Taste by Scarlett Chase 3/5 -This one kinda fell flat for me. It wasnt really entertaining but the plot was decent and it had good bones. The smexy part just wasnt very smexy.
5. A Siren's Christmas Carol by Salem Cross 5/5 - This was a very nice over the top alpha-hole dragon fated mates story. I loved. Wish the story wrapped up a little better but the premise was really good and the background of all the characters were nice.
6. Midsommer, but Sexy by Aletha Faust 3/5 -I loved the beginning, but then I was lost after she stumbled onto the fae. Its like the second part of the story was written by someone else, or they were trying to merge two ideas together and couldn't really get them to merge really well.
7. Fated by the Lights by Scarlett Philips 5/5 -*Okay just revising my review a little bit since I got to talk to Scarlett about the story* YES GOD YES. I can't wait to see how this story plays out. Honestly. Scarlett did a fantastic job bringing in the PNR and weaving the love into the story perfectly. She set up the story to lead you into the series perfectly. The antho leaves on an HEA so you dont have to read the series when she writes it, but when you realize it, its a HFN ending. :) I've said this before just change the dragons to gargoyles and this would have been *chef's Kiss* (i love gargoyles, dragons too but gargoyles are number 1)
8. Their Unfortunate Souls by River Starr 4/5 -This was a decent story. As long as I ignored the tentacles i got through the story and it was good. The plot, the lore, the retelling. How the author shaped the story around all the stories that we know about this particular "Tale" was beautiful.
9. The QT Chromosomes by Sienna Swift 3/5 -I unfortunately couldn't really get into this story. I don't know if its because of how the author brought the relationships together or what. Being a fated mates story and bringing Nick into the relationship really hit a nerve and bothered me enough to take a step back and really think if I wanted to finish this story in the antho. I get it, but in a sense. It seemed wrong.
10. Crowns of Unity by NA Jameson 5/5 -Who doesn't like a little Succubi in their sex life? lol I really liked this one. The only negative was that the story didnt wrap up really well. The epilogue just didnt do it for me. I will say that all the other chapters were on point for me!!!
11. A Theory of Crystal 3/5 - Couldn't finish this story. Names were confusing (couldnt keep them seperated), it seemed like it was a historical romance (which is not my jam).
F️*ck The Patriarchy is a charity anthology featuring 11 brilliant authors coming together to create something special with ALL proceeds going to #NARAL. It is stunning anthology that will leave you breathless and fulfilled
SJ Ransom is becoming one of my favorite authors of all time. It’s always a love story but the range of dark and just spice and love in this overall romance stories is mind blowing.
This story is about a young lady who meets and falls for gentleman who is quite older than her. It’s not a smooth relationship she has some drama that follows her from her past. He has drama that gets brought up. But it’s all about their love overcoming and them being their best selves.
My first read of SJ Ransom was with their debut book psychos in love, that is extremely trigger heavy they have another book coming out in a couple of days she’s a mad hatter which is also dark and has lots of triggers. And then I found that she participated in this anthology. The story has minor triggers in my opinion but very good the love story is it like the basic romance story but also not dark and offputting like her other books. This book is very open to almost every reader base there is versus her other books you have to make sure you read the triggers and that you’re OK with that.
I was happy to see a couple of my favorite authors: Salem Cross and S.J. Ransom as well as being introduced to a score of new authors to me.
If you're looking for a book that has it all look no further. This book has something for everyone. Contemporary Romance, Bully Romance, Syfy Romance, Paranormal, Reverse Harem and FF. There were some stories that made you want to defend the FMC. There were stories where you said "Aww" then you had stories that made you cheer "Girl Power" or "You Go Girl".
River Starr is a new author to me, and her storytelling was refreshing. I have to admit I love Reverse Harems with a MMF, MFM, MFMMM trope but to read an FF story was a little out of my comfort zone, but the overall story "Unfortunate Souls" did not disappoint.
Will I read another FF book? Nope, but will I read more work from River Starr? ABSOLUTELY!!!!
What a great anthology! There is truly a story for everyone included. It has a mix of contemporary and paranormal stories for your reading pleasure!
Every story has a strong FMC with different varieties of relationships (MF, FF, MMF, RH) all centered around female empowerment and growth. You will not be disappointed with any of the stories included. They are all different, but beautifully cohesive.
I had not read a majority of the authors that participated, but have since added several books to my TBR (why does it never get smaller).
I'm also hoping that a few of them get turned into a full standalone (Scarlet Philips I'm looking at you)!
If you love women supporting women get this book today!!!
This book got me wanting to go to Polaris. I need some Dragon mates. It was short entretaining and interesting it got me wanting more. I want to know more about the story and her background.
If by my next birthday I don't get my mates looking for me to take me to Polaris I'm going to be really mad.
