Good gravy! J. Boote really didn't hold back here at all. Think of it like a mix between the exorcist and the, I believe, 2nd Amityville movie when the demon makes the brother and sister get down and dirty. Really graphic and a ton of uncomfortable sexual content, but it served the story well. Davie is one heck of a lead character. I just had some trouble with the POV shifting around so drastically throughout. I think it all would've been better served sticking with Davie a lot more. But, beyond that, a nice way to gag up my breakfast. Fans of possession and religious-based horror subgenres of horror, in addition to extreme horror nuts, will probably enjoy this.

Another great extreme horror story from Mr Boote

Well this was some really disturbing, but entertaining fun! Had demons, possession, and hypocritical religious people. The descriptions were so well done I could see everything playing my my head like a movie. Even some weird caterpillar like beings crawling up the toilet bowl have been embedded in my brain for life… just ewwww. I think this author does a great job of telling extreme horror stories. I’m looking forward to seeing what he comes up with next.

Some positives about Love You to Bits are the death metal style cover art (that’s such awesome artwork that I’d love on a tshirt!) and how engaging J. Boote’s writing style is. This is extreme/splatter-punk horror to the most extreme degree, Christ I feel as though I need to rinse my brain with bleach after reading. It’s takes a lot to disturb me, I’m good with gore and such, but the plot of this honestly made me feel sick to my stomach… yet I could not look away.
It discusses how some parents will use “religion” as an excuse to pretty much torture and abuse their children, and then wonder why they turn out to be fucked up mentally as a result. Also there is some demonic possession thrown into the mix for good measure.

LOVE YOU TO BITS By J. Boote

Holy fucking……just, Holy Fucking!!!! 😲

Davie is discovering puberty and all the "delights" that that entails! However, his mother is a religious fanatic who is dead against anything to do with sex, and will happily punish her son if caught doing anything remotely sexual. Davie starts to have some extremely disturbing dreams and after another night locked up in the basement, decides to summon a sex demon who goes by the name of Asmodeus to teach his mother a lesson.

And JFC, what happens after the summoning and possession will scar you for life!! 😲 Once again J. Boote proves he can do extreme horror with the best of them! This was shocking, uncomfortable, completely and utterly depraved, cannibalistic, merciless, disturbing, gross, bizarre, horrific, and……funny!! If you are the teeny tiniest bit religious, my God, don't read this! 😂

So well written, and so much vicious imagery and content packed into this story, I absolutely could not put it down, I wanted to, I felt like I should, but I couldn't! It was utter carnage! The ending was fantastic, as was the whole disgusting journey that gets you there! Oh, and I hope it never rains again….ever! 😉

All in all, an absolutely delightful and debaucherous tale of love and worship! Remember….”Jesus loves ya!!”

Davie grew up with an over-the-top religious mom. He’s ate soap and spent days and nights locked in the basement for his impure thoughts and actions. Davie has had enough and summons a demon to show his mother the error of her ways. She quickly finds out all the prayers in the world won’t save her…or anyone else.

Boote takes The Lord’s Prayer to a whole new level. Holy Sh*t (literally)! There is so much darkness, gore, and depravity. You name it and it’s probably in here. The details are vivid, you won’t be left wondering anything because Boote has it covered in many ways. A must read for those who love their horror on the extreme side.

I'm glad I didn't have to read this with a simultaneous side quest of trying to figure out what is based on true events (as with Man's Best Friend lol).

This story is perhaps a bit exaggerated, but nonetheless still emotionally shows what an extreme upbringing can result in.

Boote is thriving well in the extreme genre, writing in a dark foul-smelling dungeon of depravity, gore, and sex; all at the same time.

Thanks to Boote for letting me recieve an ARC in return for my honest review.

I keep giving J Boote 5 stars for his extreme stories for two reasons. 1 - his writing is captivating and 2 - he nails the extreme! This one is even more depraved than Man’s Best Friend and at least this one isn’t based on a true story 🤣

Davie is at that age where puberty has come. He's constantly turned on and has these wild dreams. When his super strick, religious mother sees interesting stains on his bed, she punishes him by throwing him in the dirty basement. Davie is tired of this and so he decides to summon a demon to teach his mom a lesson. But this demon is just as horny, if not more than Davie and things take a crazy turn

...................................WOW!! This was....something! The incest really made me feel icky but everything else was ....great! This is VERY taboo, not for everyone. I love a good demon and playing with that fine line of good and evil and man did this play on that alot! Definitely not for everyone, proceed with caution!

I just got out of the shower. I took an extra long shower today because I had just finished the newest extreme horror story by J. Boote... and it made me feel unclean on the inside and out! As I was sitting down to read the 37 pages, I thought to myself, how is Justin going to gross me out. I've read some pretty extreme shit this year, and I'm pretty desensitized by now. Yeah right! Justin has now ruined rain and crucifixes for me. Thanks a lot man, hahaha.

This was a fun fast paced little story. Be on the lookout for it next week. Just make sure you have a strong stomach. Thanks again Justin for letting me check this one out early!

If I had to reduce this extreme horror novella to a grocery list: mommy issues, lust demon, gore, possession, exorcism, and blasphemy.

Davie is a socially awkward kid/adolescent/adult (at this point I don’t even know) who has dreams of sleeping with his mother (I'm toning this down btw). Horrified by his fantasies and furious that she keeps shaming him for having a wet dream, he summons Asmodeus, demon of lust, so she can suffer the same 'carnal torment.'

Spoiler: Summoning a sex demon never ends well.

Boote leans into every taboo.

The description of Asmodeus is full-on depraved: think graphic, porn-level torture in Hell that’s equal parts disturbing and hypnotic. I had to keep turning pages just to see how much worse it could get.

Toilet scene? Burned into my brain forever. Tampon scene? Gold. Cockroaches? Unforgivable (there is a limit, people).

It’s Freud’s Oedipal complex on bath salts, complete with a pious mother who views sex as sin, a son AND mother drowning in shame, and a possession and exorcism that explodes into blasphemy and body horror.

I'm showering after this.

It starts with a teenage boy getting caught in the middle of a very private “hallelujah solo session” by his over-the-top, fire-and-brimstone Christian mother. The type who probably thinks microwaves are powered by witchcraft. Naturally, she loses her mind, starts quoting scripture like she’s trying to speedrun the Bible, and acts like her son just summoned Satan through his penis….

Which… plot twist… is *exactly* what happens next.

In a fit of teenage rage and poor decision-making, he literally summons a demon, because sure, that’s a normal way to deal with parental abuse. But instead of just giving Mom a spooky scare and vanishing into the smoke, the demon’s like, “Nice body, I’ll take it,” and moves in like a demonic roommate with zero boundaries.

Basically, it’s a demon-possession revenge fantasy soaked in teenage rage, religious trauma, and way too much creative writing energy. Read it if you like your horror completely unhinged with a side of “What did I just read?”

Davie through his hatred, rage and embarrassment of confessing his sins of wanking infront of the church, his mother a raging religious maniac who would lock him in the basement with no food or water, his only friend a Bible, he decides to summon a demon. The demon had 4 massive black furry dicks. His mother started to have obscene and filthy thoughts driving her to depraved and incestuous vile sexual acts. Davie is taken control by the demon and starts to eat cockroaches and dirty tampons. Davie will shove a crucifix into a throat, splashing arterial blood through the air. He rips of a head, the sound like champagne popping. This is a sick, disgusting book. Not as good as Buried.

What can a 15 year old boy, who has been humiliated by his ultra religious mother do when he starts having wet dreams that don't involve the cute girls in the neighborhood, but they do involve his mother.
Caught several times by his mother, punished by being locked in the basement and humiliated when his mother tells the entire church what he has been doing and receiving no support from his father. He decides to find a sex demon to take over his mother.
But the demon decides it would have much more fun if it took over the boy.

Well damn.

This story is taboo as f**k, but at the same time, I couldn't help but feel sorry for Davie in some parts because puberty is a natural part of life.

Davie's mom, on the other hand, is very religious. I'm mean over the top religious! I'm pretty sure she's obsessed with blood being the end result of any type of punishment she wants Davie to inflict on himself.

But throw in Davie's not so natural thoughts and actions towards his mother along with her thoughts and actions, and we get the taboo aspect of this book that is definitely disturbing.

And if that wasn't enough, do a little "self-care" while repeating an incantation to a demon of lust with 4 *ahem*, and it's going to be one hell of a party!

This was my first read from J. Boote, and I was far from being disappointed. He's extremely descriptive, has the ability to create different types of reactions, includes gore, humor, a whole lot of questionable sh*t, and the story flows very well.

Love you to bits by J Boote

Holy shiz balls 🫣 Eeesh this didn’t wait for any introduction before the crazy started 😳 by chapter 2 I was reading about furry demon d’s 😂 i bloody love this genre so much 😅

Davie has had enough of living with a religious Mother. She punishes him for his erm “natural urges” everytime she sees those stained sheets, locking him in the basement with no food or water for days on end. So he turns to the dark web to summon a demon that’s going to teach her a lesson & let him release 👹

Oh this was goooood!! Brutal, like probably every trigger you can imagine but so freaking good! I can’t believe this was my first from Boote! I’m definitely adding more of his books to my list ASAP! 5⭐️ from me!

Check your triggers!!!

It's Blatty's "The Exorcist" meets Von Trier's Antichrist.

Boote takes us through Davie's journey as he's slowly loosing himself to the great king of Hell, Asmodeus after a very sticky and wet invocation went "wrong"

The book doesn't hold back from page 1 and gets you ready for a plethora of blasphemy, brutality and a spice of religious commentary.
Cherry on top, tampon on the butt. Who would've known that's an effective way to stop demons, I guess for Asmodeus wasn't enough.

Great, fun and short demonic possesion story.

Let me start by saying this probably wasn’t the best book choice to read before headed off to church 😂 but it was so worth the read.

Love you to bits is the best dark romance book I ever read(it’s not a dark romance) this is a extreme splatter punk horror all the way through to the very extreme… its a sick twisted nasty disgusting little book that made me laugh one to many times I’m probably going to hell with Davie. It’s full of very graphic gore and sexual content.

The best things about this book were the cover art (very cool) and when it was over 🙃

Definitely not my jam. Not enough plot. Graphic gore and sexual content don’t phase me, just not enough actual story going on for me personally.

Love You To Bits
Five Hairy Demons...

This story was um... uh... **this is why it's taken me a few days to collect my thoughts after finishing this deranged, demonic, filthy story, and apparently my brain has tried to wash it away. Please bare with me...

#helpireadjustinbootesbook

Asmodeus the demon possesses Davie's body after he summons the demon to help him fix a problem with his mother, and all h-e-double-hockey sticks commences. Davie's parents will NEVER be the same again, nor will the community...

The ending was NOT was I was anticipating. If you enjoy your religion, do NOT read this... I can see Davie's point, because his mom was messed up and his dad let her "try" to "fix" Davie's teenage habits. lol But the way Davie handled it was just WOW!

I feel bad for Jessica... Poor woman should have listened to her husband when he sad it was a normal thing teenage boys go through. And now... Now there's, well, you'll have to read it bits like I did. And yes, I'm being punny.

My favorite quotes:
"Something to chew on later in case he got peckish."
"Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'love you to bits', doesn't it?"
"There, if that didn't scare off the exorcist, nothing would."

I'll leave you with a Question my husband asked me while I was reading this...
Hubs: "Why does your face look like that?"
Me: "I'm reading a disgusting book."

Title: Love you to bits

Genre: Extreme Horror

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gore level: 💀💀💀💀💀

When I started this book, Justin wished me good luck and yes, that was very much needed

Love you to bits is a captivating read. We meet the Simpsons (yes, I know 😅) A very, VERY religious mother, a father that’s more like a zombie submitted to his wife’s will and the son Davie who suffers her mother’s punishments, because he’s “filthy” and a “sinner”.

Justin wrote a book so vile, disgusting and yet so fascinating that I couldn’t put it down until I finished. To say that I devoured this book is an understatement. I’m not a religious person by any means, and I must confess that some parts made me think, “this is another level of blasphemy” and I couldn’t care less about things like that, but dude! Justin has some fire in him.

The writing, the pace is engaging, makes you want to know more. The description of the events that lead to the unholy events is flawless and gives you the insight you need to understand why Davie did what he did.

On a deeper level, this book shows in a very “over the top” way, how some families have some very unhealthy dynamics, based on religion and how that can affect their kids and themselves. So it’s not horror and gore for the sake of it, it has an underlying text that makes you think and reflect.

The gory parts are graphic, gruesome and ugly, just like we like them. This book is meant for people who have some experience with this genre. If you’re new at this, proceed with caution.

For everyone else? Happy reading!
