Katie Horner does it again! The Flamingo Advantage is the second book of hers that I’ve read and highly recommend! Faith Like Flamingos was the first of her books that I got my hands on. Both are full of relatable stories with amazing insights.
Before reading any of her books, though, I took a Business Building God’s Way free Facebook mini-course during pandemic restrictions. It was so great to sit with a Christian sister who just gets it! I was blown away with how Katie throws out scripture and relates it to the topic. I was in complete awe during her course and my hand couldn’t keep up taking notes! Thankfully it was a recorded webinar so I could easily pause and rewind!
Anywho, a couple months ago, I saw Katie ask for people to read and review her latest book. As an avid book reviewer, I was super excited to be part of her launch team for this new book!
The Flamingo Advantage is a spectacular book that all business-minded people should add to their library! It’s easy to read and has fantastic reflection pages for readers to exercise what’s taught and how to implement it into business and life.
Scriptures are thrown strategically into each chapter in such a relatable fashion it’s amazing! After attending a few of Katie’s courses, I realized she writes how she speaks. I could imagine her actually speaking the words in the book! This made my reading experience so much better!
Thank you to Katie and Tap Horner, Handprint Legacy, and the book launch team for allowing me to read and review this wonderful work! I give this book 5 out of 5 tiaras because of all the golden nuggets found within the covers. Maybe for this book, I should rate in flamingos instead!

So many Christians feel uncomfortable with the idea of business & marketing. Because of the worldly examples that we have all around us, it feels like the very opposite of what we should be doing. And it can cause anxiety and/or fear to take that step in our own business life.
However, it is only in contrast to our spiritual life IF we are following the world's examples and not God's plan for us.
Once again Katie Hornor takes a worldly concept & breaks it down biblically. She helps us to see that owning a business is not contradictory to a Christian life. In fact, if God is calling us to serve others, it can be as much in a business capacity as in an actual ministry.
Using Bible verses to clarify God's vision of marketing, we are better able to understand how we too can live biblically. Even when running a business.
However, it is only in contrast to our spiritual life IF we are following the world's examples and not God's plan for us.

A brand new perspective!
I LOVED this book! Katie's trainings have given a whole new perspective to running my business and it's changed my daily approach and my activities. With God as the owner of my business, and me as the CEO, I must be more conscientious of my stewardship. A daily check in with my owner, I can no longer work willy nilly, but with focus directed by the One who knows who and where I should serve. Great book. I highly recommend it for anyone in business , whether you're self employed or employed by someone else.
