As always, I love the dual POV writing style. There were some sweet and some steamy moments.
Faith and Michael (the bride and groom) were delightful characters too.
I have read every single book of Kaylee's and I am so happy she has a new series for me to devour.

It was Faith and Michael’s wedding week on Pompeo Island. Faith and Tatum Graves have been friends since their freshman year in college. She and Michael Hendrix have known each other since back in high school. He was Tatum's first boyfriend when they were fifteen. Let's just say she was less than thrilled about going to this wedding and not because she didn't want to be there for her friends, she did. However, her ex had only broken up with her three months ago. As if that wasn’t bad enough he works at the same school she does and the woman he started dating does, too.
To add insult to injury he broke up with her at her favorite coffee shop. Ruining that experience for her. Way to go Aiden. So when she finally hears the call for boarding her flight she is all over that. On top of the two strong drinks at the bar, she orders another one once they are in the air. She got the window seat and her seat buddy is the most gorgeous man she has ever seen. Upon meeting Ben Snyder there was such a visceral connection that she was already thinking about what it would be like to do the horizontal tango with him.
It was probably the alcohol that influenced her libido, but that didn't stop her from ordering that drink as soon as they were in the air. Horny or not, with this gorgeous man sitting beside her, she was feeling slightly less bummed about her single status than she had since she was dumped. Although drooling on him during the flight, as well as, talking in her sleep was not her finest moment. So to add to her bitterness cocktail she piled on embarrassment along with avoidance. However, Ben was not going to allow that to happen.
You see he felt the first stirring for a woman in years. And he wanted to seek it out. She had told him she would be extremely busy while on the island. Little did either of them know that they would be the maid of honor and best man at Faith and Michael’s wedding. They started to figure out that the couple was trying to couple them up. And they were finding it wasn't all that bad. Things start to get hot and heavy, and they are even both secretly hoping for more when they get back to NY. However, it’s now the day of the wedding, and she finds out a secret has been kept from her. One that comes out of nowhere, and she is sucker punched right before the wedding.
Let's just say the Arctic seems warm next to Tatum as Ben walks down the aisle with her during the wedding. He has no clue what’s happened since they rolled out of bed that morning. Find out the secret and how Ben gets himself out of it. This is an emotional roller coaster in a good way. Funny, too.

When the plane lands and she wakes up, she's super embarrassed but thinks she'll never see him again.
As fate often works, of course she sees him again, as he's the Best Man in her best friend's wedding. Sparks fly between the two of them. So the reason that i am giving this book a 4* is bc I thought it needed to be longer. yeah I know kinda harsh but this book was like a short novella and there was soooo much more that i needed from it. everything just jumped in so fast and bam it was done. it was awesome and i loved it but just needed more.
so this is my first book from this author and now i need find out what else she has written. well written, hooked me from the start and lost of chemistry, and some steamy scenes.

Okay, so I actually really enjoyed this book.
More than I expected as it isn’t my usual genre.
The story wasn’t too long or too short, settling at around 180 pages and plus the pacing was great!
The book started of so well, I genuinely loved the beginning ; it really set my hopes up high but the reason I am giving the book 4 stars is because of the smut. The sex and desire between the two main characters. One thing I hated and didn’t like one bit.
For several chapters, the sex/sexual tension really drove and overpowered the storyline and I feel as though if it was removed, there would be little left.
Although, I never have really been an ‘ I-love-a-spicy-read’ person so perhaps that’s just my personal opinion but hey-ho.
All in all I would recommend and I would read it again, to be honest. I can always skip past the ‘dirty’ bits— right??

They met on an airplane but when Tatum awakes from her sleep and realizes that she has drooled all over the handsome man sitting next to her she is mortified then add to the fact that same man will be standing next to the groom at the wedding where you are the maid of honor really gives her pause. Tatum is drawn to Ben, but she is also coming off of a breakup that has left her questioning herself. Ben himself has his own problems with a wife he wants a divorce from who is dragging her feet. Will these two get past the roadblocks in their lives and make it to a new beginning with a happily ever after for them? This was such an endearing story that had me in Tatum and Ben's corner!

Ben is happy to find out where Tatum is so he can pursue her while they are there. Sparks fly between them and its not long before Tatum gives into him. Just as things are going well for them something from Ben's past threatens to ruin what he has with Tatum. Will she give him a chance to explain?
This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. It's a book for any book lover to enjoy.

Would be good for a quick read summer read with a destination wedding and maid of honor/best man trope but i wanted there to be more story nd more development and kinda see them when they are not on an island kinda see them work in the real world.
There were so many moments in this book is almost gave up and it is only 180 pages. The biggest thing for me was the smut scenes description and the cliche moments it honestly felt like a hallmark movie but with smutt.
Ben! The biggest thing for me was the fact that he didn't tell Tatum that he was married. Yes separated and with divorce papers ready for his ex to sign but he was still married.
Tatum went from being a good character to me wanting to shake some sense into her.

Well, the title is not altogether accurate--the best man and the maid of honor deliciously tempt each other. They meet on the plane to the destination wedding of their friends, and Tatum is embarrassed about falling asleep on him. Ben is a real sweetie. Everything seems headed for happily-ever-after, but there is one thing Ben overlooked, and Tatum is furious and gives up. She soldiers on through the wedding, after which Ben explains all. There is minimal time lost to angst, and love conquers all. Sex helps too!

Ben was such a sweetie - not a player looking for a hookup but a nice guy looking for a forever partner. Despite his poor previous relationship, he was open to finding a stable, long-term love. Tatum was coming off a bad breakup and initially was in walled off, self-protective mode but her chemistry with Ben was immediate. She opened up about her pain and fears and Ben SHOULD have done the same but instead caused her further hurt. Despite the pain he caused, he immediately set about mending Tatum’s heart. Sweet story.

I've read several books written by Kaylee Monroe; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

A fun summer read! This novella is the first in the series. Ben and Tatum are the best man and maid of honor in their best friends wedding. A few sparks fly on their initial meeting on the airplane taking them to the destination wedding and more sparks follow as they spend more time together. Both have had unpleasant breakups in the past. They manage to get past these and rediscover love with one another. I look forward to the next books in the series! Tatum Graves and Ben Snyder meet on the plane heading to Pompeo Island for a wedding. Her best friend is marrying his best friend. They are attracted to each other and don’t fight the urge. Ben is hiding a huge secret that could destroy Tatum. I enjoyed their character development and their storyline. I was yelling at Ben to come clean while reading this book. I love this story. I think Tatum is a woman that most can find something in common with or relate to with some real life experiences and Ben is the man most are dreaming to meet and fall in love with. Their story was a joy to read, it adult steamy combined with the warm happy feelings this all worked out to be a very fulfilling romantic story. This is my first book by Kaylee Monroe and I’m a new fan. Tatum and Ben are attracted to one another when they are seat mates on their flight. But they go their separate ways upon landing. Until they realize that they are best man and maid of honor in the same wedding. It’s like it is meant to be.
A great story about two people trying to get past their previous heartbreaks to take a chance on love again.
I highly recommend this book.

loved watching someone fall in love
Tatum has been hurt in recent past, but is immediately attracted to Ben, but afraid of bring hurt again—afraid he might also play with her heart. Altho Ben also has baggage, there has been time for him to heal & put things into perspective. And he really cares. Fun to watch how each part is played . And the universe put together what is meant to be

However from their first meeting on the plane to the end of the wedding they were attending, they fell in love. There was a brief moment of doubt and hurt caused by Ben's ex but it was cleared up by their wedding toasts. It was a nice proposal at the end.

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Ben and Tatum and does not let go. They have an instant attraction, but Tatum has been hurt and is in no hurry to begin a relationship. Can Ben convince her otherwise or will his secrets tear them apart?

An insta love story. I usually don't like them. However it worked for this story. Short n Sweet and to point. Great characters. Some parts seemed glazed over. It went from friends wedding to two years later. Would have like to read more about them after leaving the island. All in all great book

This was such a great quick read! You feel so bad for Tatum and Ben and what they had to go through with their Ex's before them. The connection between is magnetic and the way Ben is instantly just makes you swoon. Oh the chemistry between them was soo steamy! I highly recommend this book!.

Tatum and Ben met while flying to a destination wedding. She thinks they're having a vacation fling, he decides he wants more than that. But he failed to tell her something fairly important and it might end it as quickly as it started. This was a light, quick read. I read it as part of a box set I got from Booksprout.

Tempting the Best Man is a sweet, dreamy story that kept me glued to the pages all the way to the end! A wonderful story, that you fall in love with.
I do recommend this book to others, I think it is a good start to the series.

Easy, fun, steamy read. The only thing I didn't care for was how quickly everything at the end fell into place. It felt too fluffy and left out what I imagine would be more real-world conversations. Then again, I read books like these for the smut and to be entertained with a happy ending - so Monroe definitely delivered there.

This was a cute, light read that I really enjoyed and binge read it overnight. Tatum and Ben are a fun couple, and I had fun following their story. I was very happy with their HEA, and look forward to reading more by this author.

The passion was strong with these two as much as Tatum may not want to admit it! They both have some past issues they need to get over and they are exactly what the other needs to do it!
I love the humour laced through the story to keep you entertained.
