When an EMP decimates the United States, Lori, a former Marine Raider, must embark on a treacherous journey with her daughter across the former United States from Pennsylvania to a rumored sanctuary in Washington State.
Safe Off The Grid
Can what has been lost be rebuilt? Lori, and her daughter Avah, fight to answer that question as they trek across what remains of the United States after a devastating EMP attack. Together with her new family, Lori must contend with armed bandits and roaming gangs who challenge her at every turn.
These books feature the apocalypse from a female point of view which many writers only seem to consider as victims. It was very interesting to me and gave me much food for thought. The first two books are a series that details some of the trials of a mother and daughter traveling across country after an EMP. While the third book tells of a family seeking sanctuary much closer to home. They are all well worth your time and should bring you hours of reading pleasure.
An EMP destroys the world as we know it in this trilogy. Civilization, law and order and the niceties of politeness are gone. Survival of the fittest is accomplished by physical and mental strength . Well drawn characters and settings add to the exciting plot.
I started reading this trilogy, had to put it down a number of times just in the first few chapters as the story comes so close to reality with the sun emitting CME’s. What would happen if the world lost all electricity & technology? Read & find out. For all hope is not lost
Excellent reading.. A 3 bookset. I read book one about a year or so ago and enjoyed again plus the other two books were just as good // really enjoyed this boxxet. If you like reads about temps you will enjoy this set
Here I was expecting a trilogy in this box set and instead got a duet and a stand alone. I also have deep reservations about survival skills used in the last story.
No. Just no. Book three has nothing to do with the first two. The first two were irrationally pollyanna. The third has bad guys that irrationally focus on MC.
