Books 22-24 (BUT NOT FOREGONE, BUT NOT FOR VENGEANCE, and BUT NOT FOREGATHERED) of the Amazon best-selling Clint Wolf Mystery Series by award-winning author BJ Bourg are now available as a boxed set.
BUT NOT FOREGONE
During his many years of working in law enforcement, Clint Wolf has investigated more than his share of bizarre cases. However, he has never worked a case where a dead man has come back to life…until now.
While trying to help Clint figure out how something like this could happen, Amy Cooke stumbles upon an old newspaper article that details an unsolved case from nineteen years earlier. The details are sketchy, but it seems that a woman went missing after an argument with her husband. The husband’s story is fishy and the woman’s family suspects foul play, but there are no reports or evidence from back then to assist with the investigation, so Amy’s left trying to recreate the file from scratch.
There’s a chance that neither case will be solved, but one thing can be counted Clint and Amy will die trying.
BUT NOT FOR VENGEANCE
Slashed tires. A stolen truck. Three dead bodies...and many more injured.
It's up to Detective Clint Wolf and his team to decide if this was an act of terror or a targeted attack.
With so many injured and a crime scene that drags through the streets of Mechant Loup, Clint will need all hands on deck to solve this crime. That is, if they're able to. Sometimes, the good guys don't always win.
Will this be one of those days?
BUT NOT FOREGATHERED
On a Monday afternoon in July, three Mechant Loup boys leave baseball practice on their bicycles…and vanish.
The plan had been for Cory, Ruben, and Allen to camp in the woods east of town after baseball practice, but when they don’t return home the next morning, their parents call the police and report them missing. The worst part? A monster hurricane is rumbling toward the coast of Louisiana, and if the boys are caught out in the swamps during such a storm, they’ll surely perish.
In a desperate race against time, Clint Wolf and Amy Cooke, along with the rest of the police department, begin a multi-pronged search for the boys. A kidnapping pulls Clint and Amy away from the search, but when good and evil come together in an old camp house during the height of the storm, they seem on the cusp of getting some answers. However, will they survive the killer in front of them and the storm raging above them in order to do anything with that information?

What a game changer. Never expected the killer to be...
BJ is back on his game. These books were fantastic in a very suspenseful way. Just when you think you know what happened another character jumps into the mix. The writer really knows human nature and the way a person can change to violence when driven by events. The way BJ describes a scene you can see it exactly. I like the was his characters keep in contact with each other and therefore keep you involved. Very good book. A thumbs up for these again.
Having previously read books by this author-I was expecting more of the same-I was not disappointed -The action is unrelenting-police procedure -realistic-It is also eye opening to read about a part of the country I have had no personal experience of-. The Bayou and swamps of Louisiana are a world unto themselves -and seem to have a moral code that is also unique to the territory -and culture - Entertaining read
This book is filled with so much excitement that I could not put it down !Though I do not like kids getting hurt, it is part of life. The police department feels like family to me as I have read all of his books. This is one that you will enjoy, even with the hurricane!
It is so good to read about good people. The characters make mistakes, but their intentions are good and they admit and correct their errors. Such a wonderful attitude. Thank goodness so many real people are that way. I read about enough real jerks in the news, I don’t need to read about them in fiction.
I have always been a big reader and I have to tell you, hands down, this series has been my favorite by far! I am so sad I have now finished the entire series. I will be in mourning for awhile! Lol!
Just enough characters. Some books have so many characters I have to list them on a sheet of paper. One book I quit after listing 50 names. This series was not too detailed and verbose. I like to read this series
I love reading this author. These stories put me right in Louisiana. The characters are well developed and believable, the stories are exciting. I highly recommend this author and series.
This reader enjoyed reading these three stories because the characters were solid and the plot lines were very interesting. I highly recommend this author.
These books are not necessarily modern classics but they do bring many hours of entertainment and a little brain stimulation. Extremely good summer reading on the beach
