Will self-proclaimed bachelor Theo eat his words when love gives him a second chance? Commercial airline pilot Theo just made captain, something he’s worked hard for all these years. His relationships only last a couple of dates. He’s comfortable with his life, that is until the power goes out. He grabs his cat and heads over to his buddy’s house. Mistaken for a prowler, the police arrive. When the police question the woman staying in the house, it’s Theo’s old flame, Emma. She didn’t realize it was him when she called the police. She invites him to stay overnight, and he reluctantly agrees. Emma is moving back to the west coast, so Theo declares a truce on their frosty friendship, for their respective best friends’ feelings. Ah yes, feelings. His feelings for Emma resurface and grow. Theo believes it’s a second chance at love but what about Emma? Can Theo prove to Emma she’s the only woman for him? Can he relinquish his ‘last man standing’ crown for good?

Theo – Last Man Standing is a second-chance romance, perfect for any reader to savor. I connected with Theo right away. He’s a sweet guy who has preconceived ideas about marriage. It was such fun seeing him knocked down a peg or two by love. Emma is a heroine you’ll simply adore. In the past, Theo hurt her really bad. She’s tried to protect herself from being hurt like that again, only it kept her at arm’s length in relationships. Not good. When she runs into him again, it’s very awkward. You’ll love their meet cute. How they work through their issues was realistic and heartfelt. The rekindling of love is at the heart of this story and it’s very well-written. The descriptive narration and plot progression make Theo – Last Man Standing an unputdownable romance. Get ready to be swept away in Theo – Last Man Standing. Perfect for any romance reader. Highly recommend!

Theo and Emma get a second chance at forever is this wonderful addition to the Last Man Standing series. They jumped off the page for me and were written in a very real and familiar manner. I felt like I knew them. The author does a wonderful job of immersing the reader into their lives, and the secondary characters only add to the story. I loved how much Theo loved Emma. I expected him to be extremely cynical about marriage given the series, but what I found was a man who'd fallen in love years ago and lost. Now -- he lost Emma because of his unwillingness to compromise, but he's older and has learned his lesson. As the story progressed, I just melted right into the romance of Theo and Emma that I didn't want it to end. There was an epilogue, thank goodness! This was a great book. I highly recommend it!

When Theo is forced to his friend's house because of a power outage he reconnects with the woman from his past Emma. Seeing Emma again opens up old wounds and as they rehash the past Theo sees an opportunity to rekindle what they had but Emma is not the woman of old. Will Theo get Emma on the same page as he and will this time around lead them to a happily ever after? This is a second chance romance that had me in their corner to get their chance for happiness!

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I love second chance romances and this book didn’t disappoint. Theo and Emma were in love, but he chose his career instead of her. It’s now been ten years. They both go to stay at their best friend’s house, Meg and Oliver, not knowing the other would show up. Grab your copy and see if they can get their happily ever after this time around.

This was a clean novella length second chance romance. Theo and Emma thought they would be together forever, but her trauma from an earthquake experience broke them up and caused Theo to be bitter and closed off to love. They get a second chance when they are living near each other and their mutual friends with two sweet young children. But she has a boyfriend and he has to decide if he wants to risk his heart again.

Another great book in the Last Man Standing series. This one is a reunion romance that is a sweet, quick read with the main characters finally getting to be together after years apart. They split when very young and now that they are older and wiser realize there has never been anyone else for them. True love lasts forever!

Theo and Emma parted ways in college but never really got over each other. Avoiding the other where mutual friends were concerned. But when Emma gets the chance to advance her career being in close proximity to Theo won't be a problem, right? Until she calls the cops on him as she's mistaken him for a bulgur. And that's just the beginning...

Another incredibly sweet romantic read!

I loved Theo and his lost love Emma. It was easy to root for them every step of the way. Every character here is engaging and fun. This was not only a great story but a perfect, realistic journey of second chance love. Highly recommend this book and the Burned series if you are looking for more great guys to crush on.

Loved it!

I fell in love with this author from her Smoke and Fire series and was not disappointed with this quick read. It's an easy book to get into and flows nicely. I was just sad I read through it so quickly. Great book!
