Following a horrific break up with his fiancé, Luke Bennet spends two years as a social hermit, only going to work and talking with Tina, Gina, and Rita, three friends from high school.
Refusing to let him wallow any longer, they intervene and talk him into going on twelve blind dates to get him back in social circulation.
The Trio have not only planned the dating venues but also chosen the perfect guys to lure Luke from his isolation.
Will he find love through these dates? Or will he run for cover again?

This was a cute and fun read that just made me giggle as Luke went through his dates, most of them just a disaster. Mike is Luke's first date and as Luke goes through his other dates, these two start to get closer than just friends. I loved that Luke's friends wanted to help him get out of his rut but man did they did not pick some winners, except for Mike of course. This is short and entertaining so if you need something to make you smile or a palate cleanser between emotionally heavy reads, then pull this up.

Funny, funny story, and well worth the read! I loved Luke, and reading about his 12 blind dates (such a clever idea for JMS's 12th anniversary!) was a genuine hoot. The dates were intriguing, while the men he went on the dates with ranged from nice guys to OMG the worst. His friends, Tina, Gina, and Rita, were the kinds of friends we all could do with.
An all-around fun was to pass an hour or so. Highly recommended!
This is a cute little short story of a 40 year old guy whose 3 best friends (women) hold and intervention to force him on 12 blind dates over 4 weekends to get him hooked up. The first date is fine and the two men end up befriending another gay man and his father coming out in his 60's. The next dates are disasters but he remains friends with the first guy who decides to start coming on his dates with him (along with the other guy from the baseball game) to be back-up if things go badly.
So some of the dates were quite funny and it was obvious the two guys liked each other but were a bit dense, at least Luke was. And eventually they figure it out, after 11 more dates.
I am not a fan of "you must be in a relationship to be happy" and they were all friends from highschool so I'm assuming the women were 40 and none of them appeared to be in relationships so.... This is a non-spice story and it just hops from them realizing they like each other to two years later and married so you don't really get to see them together as a couple. But as noted, some funny moments with some crazy dates.
I really enjoyed this story of 12 blind dates for Luke, instigated by his three female friends. There was a wonderful variety to all the different dates, and I really liked that Luke met some nice guys right up front that he became friends with. In fact there were many more good dates than bad, showing that Luke's friends do have some taste. A couple dates were bad, a couple dates were funny, and there was no insta-love or insta-lust, which made a great change of pace from so many m/m stories out there. Does Luke meet his match? Well, this IS romance after all. *wink*
A delightful and entertaining tale of how sometimes friends, although they mean well, are not the best Cupid assistants. Actually it's more than that, it's freaking hilarious! Who knew so many blind dates could be so disasterous. Poor Luke, having three female BFF's is bound to bring about emotional upsets as they try to re-involve him into the dating world. Great fun to read and a sweet sweet finale.
This book was a really fun story. The epilogue was not what I was expecting in a good way. It was not graphic but I did have to look up some terms which led to graphic definitions. There were also some big words, I would say this book was a more sophisticated reading level than I expected. But loved the story.
