There are many comfort recipes in this cookbook, some easy, some more difficult!

If you are looking for healthy recipes, this isn’t the book for you, but if you want to treat yourself and also feed a crowd, this is the perfect book!

Thank you Hachette Australia for my gifted copy.

Ohhhh this cookbook!! 🤤 Where have you been all my life?!!

Caught Snackin’ is packed FULL of recipes to die for, and they all look amazing, I didn’t know where to start!

I went with what looked to be a crowd pleaser, the Banana Bomb Muffins, and it was an excellent choice to kick things off with 😋 They are banging! 🤌

I love that it includes a garage playlist to listen along to while you cook, definitely a bit of me.

Highly recommend for easy, comfort food!

Some unique takes on standard recipes. I made the Cheesy Garlic-Butter Dough Balls and the Greek Yogurt in the dough gave it a really interesting and yummy flavour.

Thanks to the publisher for sending me a review copy.

This cookbook is bangin’! Come for the irreverent Brit take on international foods - stay for the 50 Clove Chicken Kiev. I had this book checked out from the library. It was the kiev recipe that made buy it outright. Also, Gin and Tonic Fish and Chips.

For me, nothing here looked terribly appetising.. However, I did like that each recipe has Veggie/Vegan/Meat/Fish next to it, this would be helpful for folks looking for such things.

Just to let people know, every single one or two star review I have written has either been deleted or hidden. Even if I have 40+ likes they are hidden beneath reviews with no text or likes. I am told this is a coincidence. All my 3, 4 or 5 star reviews are in order of likes. Will leave the reader to work this one out.

I got this out of the library, I must have misread the description because I thought this had lots of veggie and vegan options. It didn't, the few I saw were really weird and involved topping with things like vegan versions of wotsits.

The recipes are amazingly unhealthy, lots of processed meat, deep frying with cheese, cream and packets of crisps, marshmallows and chocolate buttons sprinkled on top, do people really eat food like this?

My daughter pointed out this would have made more sense if it had been titled Party Food. Unless you're doing lots of exercise or physical work, adults don't need snacks beyond some fruit or nuts. To suggest that gin battered fish and chips, tandoori roast chicken with a full roast dinner, creamy vodka pasta or deep fried cheese could ever pass as a snack is a really unhealthy suggestion. At the start of the book it states that home cooked food is the best for us, these recipes certainly are not and in my opinion normalises overeating really unhealthy food.
