To deny fate is to deny the love you hold in your heart.
A gentleman smitten with a mysterious lady. A lady in search of a knight to rescue her.
Graham Worthington had spent most of his career searching for a notorious villainess. Now, with her capture near, he becomes distracted by a lady who was just as elusive. While trying to avoid his family’s matchmaking attempt, he meets his mystery lady by chance in a moonlit garden. After sharing a few kisses, his heart declares the lady his soul mate. They share stolen moments, exploring the passion that drew them together. However, he must decide if he would set his honor to the side to secure her safety once he learns of her true identity. If not, then he would distract her from seeking revenge against her stepmother. When his kisses tempted her to abandon her vengeance, the evil surrounding her left her vulnerable to its clutches. Still, she risked every moment to spend in Graham’s company. He gave her the security she craved with each embrace and every passionate kiss. Their time together left her wondering if every sacrifice she made was worth it. Would Sabrina open her heart to trust the gentleman she fell in love with?
A couple who was destined to defy all odds and fall in love. Would they overcome the dangerous obstacles in their path? Or would they fall victims to the evil forces in their midst?

International bestselling author Laura A. Barnes fell in love with writing in the second grade. After her first creative writing assignment, she dreamt of becoming an author. Many years went by with Laura filling her head full of story ideas and some funny fish songs she wrote while fishing with her family. In 2017, she made her dreams a reality. With her debut novel Rescued By the Captain, she has set out on the path of a published author.
When not writing, Laura can be found devouring her favorite romance books. Laura is married to her own Prince Charming (who for some reason or another thinks the heroes in her books are about him) who she enjoys traveling with and binging shows on streaming services. You can usually find her spending time with her children and grandchildren. Besides her love of reading and writing, Laura loves to travel. I have been reading Laura A. Barnes books since 2019 and this is my 17th book by her. I can truthfully say, I have really enjoyed every book I've read of hers. I have never been disappointed. Always great characters and always great stories. I was so excited about this new series!
As with Book 1, 2 and 3, I was given this book as an ARC read in return for an honest review.
I really liked Book 1 a lot and totally loved book 2 and was WOW, blown away by Book 3. Definitely a top favorite. I knew book 4 was going to be great as well.
I have to say I loved this final book in the series. Having to finish up a major story line which included 3 prior books, I was afraid Graham and Sabrina's story would take a back seat or get a little lost. Well I'm glad to see it did not.
I loved their relationship. Their time together was all consuming. You could just feel them wanting every possible moment to mean something and make it last. They had such an understanding even though there were unanswered questions in the relationship. I loved that they never gave up.
Laura just sucks you in to her writing. You just want more and more and for the books never to end. She is such a great writer.
If y'all don't read her or haven't read her you are missing out. All her series have been great but I LOVED this one.
I have to say I have loved this series. I really didn't want it to end, but really wanted the vileness to get what she had coming for hurting so many. I wondered how Laura could bring it all together and she did beautiful. Graham has worked years to catch a very evil women who has been after his family and many others. Somehow, she also managed to slip away. Now that he can finally see the end he runs into a mysterious Lady and falls for her hard. He doesn't know who she is but is determined to find out. He met her at a masquerade ball she was hidden by mask and costume. As it turns out members of his own family know who she is and that she has a lot of painful past and secrets. I love how Sabrina knows what she wants but has been trying to honor her late father for years. He fears and secrets could stand in the way of her happiness unless she can let go and learn to trust. A hard thing for someone who has had nothing but pain and ugliness for so long. Graham, figures out a lot about her but needs her to trust him on her own. With everything in their paths to keep them apart will love win over all ? Can faith and happiness be in their future or will the evil Lady win again ? So much love, passion, understand and faith in this story along with mystery, intrigue and pain. A great ending to a wonderful series. Laura has done it again and given us books we will re-read over and over again. I received and ARC from the author and wish to thank her, this is my honest opinion and am freely giving it.
Wow! That is all I can think of saying. This book has touched my soul. And has left me in a daze. This is the last book in the series Fate of the Worthingtons and it was worth the wait. It concludes the plot from all the other stories, which was wonderful, but it also made me love the story and the characters Graham and Sabrina. Even though I appreciate this book more because I read all the other books in the series, I think you will enjoy it even if you did not read the other books. Graham and Sabrina were made for each other, and you felt this thru the whole book. I am going to miss them and this family. I wonder who will the author write about next? I would not mind reading about DeVille, I don’t know what his story is, but I like him. I wish I can give this book more than 5 stars. I received an ARC from Booksprout and am leaving my honest opinion.
The Siren's Gentleman was a wonderful drama filled, passionate love story. I felt like I was living the story with the characters. 100% recommend reading this story, you'll fall in love with it just as I did!.

Ah, the mermaid and the pirate! You know an author is an expert storyteller when it makes you sad to see her series end…..and oh, what a magnificent ending! Graham, or Worth, as he is often callled, is the second son of the five Worthington siblings, and has been the consummate playboy bachelor for years. That is, until he gets a fleeting and retreating glance of a delectible woman who soon becomes his obsession. Sabrina or Ren, as she is also known, especially when dressed as a boy, has been under the thumb of the evil Lady Langdale and often used in her diabolical plans for revenge. This is the emotional, unpredictable, dangerous and steamy story of Sabrina and Graham’s convoluted journey towards their happy ending. It is full of misdirects, heartache and surprises…..and it is riveting. Many of the characters from the Matchmaking Madness series make an appearance and play active roles in this finale, reminding the reader that not only one, but two wonderful storylines have reached their conclusion. Make sure to carve out some time before you start reading, as once you start, you will not want to put it down. Yes, it is that good!.

Wow! This is an awesome ending to an amazing series. The Worthingtons are all here and they continue their pursuit of the evil (really) Lady L, and they are closer than ever before. The romance in this story is wonderful, although a little iffy at times. Graham and Sabrina are perfect for each other. He is lovestruck from the moment he sees the beautiful mermaid at the masquerade ball. Sabrina, who has been abused and used by Lady L since her father’s death, yearns for safety and love. She believes she can have that with Graham. A lovely romance. And the enemy? The last time we see Lady L., she is alone and surrounded. Oh, well. The last story in the Fate of the Worthingtons series is a page-turner with wonderful characters, a great romance, and a perfect ending. I received an ARC of this book via BookSprout and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Wow! This has been one amazing series! I hate to see it come to it’s conclusion, but I’ve really been anxious to see this heinous evil doer get their comeuppance . Although each story has it’s exclusive romance, the characters recur as well as the ongoing terror of the enemy, so it would be much more enjoyable to the reader having read the series in order! That being said, Graham and Sabrina’s romance is such a beautiful thing. He has loved his elusive mermaid from afar for so long, that it’s quite glorious when they finally come together. And poor Sabrina has had such an awful life for so long, it is wonderful to see her so loved and cherished. The book is a dramatic page-turner, yet a total delight down to little Mina and her Mrs.Potts!
Wow. I was totally taken with this story from chapter one. I was eagerly waiting to find out when and how Graham and Sabrina would finally meet. These two were definitely soul mates. The only problem with them being together was the danger that lurked for both of them. And would Graham still love Sabrina once he finds out who she really is? And could Sabrina give up her revenge to be Graham’s partner in life?
This is the last story in this series and the Worthington’s will be missed. They are such a fun and loving family. This is a standalone book, but characters from previous stories do make appearances. To get the full effect of the Lady L mystery, it would be best to start from book one in the series. You will enjoy the entire series like I have.
The last book in the series sees Graham Worthington looking for his mermaid. The evil Barbara Langdale is still at large and directing her vengeance on the Worthington family. Sabrina has her own agenda for not leaving Barbara's clutches. Revenge for her father's death. Graham has fallen for Sabrina, his mermaid. All he wants is to protect her and hold the woman he loves forever. This time the Worthington family plans to stop Barbara at any cost. A little long on the read and draws to what I thought was an anticlimactic ending. Open bedroom door. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
The pirate’s mermaid. This book is written in such a poetic style it had a dreamy feel to it. There are moments of danger and drama and such sweet love. The author has constructed an outstanding story. I loved the family banter toward the end of the book large families are just like that I found this part so entertaining. The ending was brilliant who knew about the pirate’s code dealing with a mermaid. I adored this book and I highly recommend it. I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
Graham Worthington had been forever searching for a notorious villainess carrying out her vengeful plans. As he gets closer to her capture, his attention is pulled to another lady who who also eludes him, Sabrina Langdale. But Graham and Sabrina will meet, as they were meant to be together, perfect soul mates. She continues to risk herself to spend time with him as she falls in love. Will Graham love Sabrina when her identity is revealed? Would Sabrina walk away from revenge to find comfort and peace as Graham’s forever lady? Or will the evil overtake them?
The Siren’s Gentleman by Laura A. Barnes is an incredible ending to the Fate of the Worthington Series. Lady Langdale finally meets her demise!
The author brings the “cloak and dagger” to Worth’s and Sabrina’s love story. There isn’t a shortage of nail-biting action scenes. Several of my favorite characters from the past are brought into the mix. There is a twist. DeVille is a fabulous character who adds to the suspense!
The plot, characters, and scenes are excellently crafted. In addition, the romantic scenes are sizzling—four out of five on the spice meter. Five stars!
This is the last book of the Fate of the Worthingtons series, and I believe it’s the best! Worth and Sabrina have quick glimpses in the other books, but to finally have their own story is fabulous! The plot to get Lady L. is continuous and is brilliantly woven to tie everything together. I will be looking forward to the next book by Laura A. Barnes!.

Okay, regency romances are super hot and I loved this book. It had everything I wanted in a romance and it was one of the most perfect regency romances for me. I loved it and I'll surely check out the other books in this series.

The fourth book in the Fate of the Worthingtons series, if you have been following this series you do not want to miss this story. This is Graham Worthington and Sabrina Langdale's story of drama, danger, suspense, a very evil stepmother, and steamy romance. I would recommend. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed Sabrina and Graham's story. She really had Graham on a hunt to find her and once he did, it was magic. But Sabrina has unfinished business and refuses help. Lady L will finally have her comeuppance but she has a deadly plan up her sleeve. The Worthington's all support Sabrina and she has to realize she is worth being loved.
this was a well done finale to the Fate of the Worthingtons series, it was what I was hoping for. The characters were what I was expecting and am glad I was able to finish this series. I look forward to more from Laura A. Barnes.

Oh my gosh! I cannot even begin to describe how much I have loved this series. I have been looking forward to Graham's story the entire way. It was outstanding. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
I loved Graham and Sabrina's story it was full of mystery, drama, family, passion and love. They are two soul mates destined to find one another as long as Lady L doesn't find out and destory them both.
The Siren's Gentleman is the fourth and final book in the Fate of the Worthingtons series. This is a wonderful historical romance with strong characters, danger, and a chance for love.

while not my favorite entry of this series it was certainly a fine ending , it closed all the hanging threads of the other entries and for that i'm glad. the romance itself was fine but awkwardly paced vs some of the others i felt but given the plot that makes sense i guess.
This is a hard book to put down. I was hooked right from the start. The characters are wonderfully unique and the villainess is specially dastardly. Three things, thank god for adorable nieces; I wonder what Deville’s story will be and I have found a new favourite author!.
