When Trigger and Gillian take their twins for a check-up and shots, they also have another agenda. They want to set up a date with their pediatrician Tallulah Rossi and Darren 'Scout' Finch.
It takes a bit of convincing, but Tallulah agrees giving Trigger her number for Scout to call to arrange the date. By the time she's said good-bye them and gotten rid of the persistent Kyle, whom she never should have gone on a date with, she has a missed call and message from Scout. She returns the call, and they agree to meet at Oscar's a restaurant close to her office. She was hesitant at first because Kyle wanted her to meet him there for a drink and she told him she had plans.
They enjoyed their dinner and conversation with neither of them really wanting it to end. However, Scout persuades her to go on another date the next day before they leave the restaurant.
Unfortunately, Tallulah's car has a flat tire, and when Scout doesn't leave her, a car takes off from the parking lot with high beams on. Tallulah thinks it looks like Kyle's car. Scout arranges for a tow, and they continue their evening with conversation about their homes which leads to his ex and how things were with that relationship.
Scout also decides to learn more about Kyle thorough his own connections, the flat tire after the confrontation in the restaurant was just too much of a coincidence.
Not only does Kyle become more of a problem, but also Scout's ex Crystal puts her two cents in as well. Although Crystal is easier to get rid of.
Things escalate from here in an unusual way, Kyle uses his daughter to get to Tallulah, but also to get to his ex-wife. Let me say things get messy really fast.
I couldn't put this book down, the chemistry between Tallulah and Scout is off the charts and they couldn't be more perfect for each other.
I really can't wait to read the next book in this crossover world.

I have really enjoyed every book in this series, but this one was even more special. Dr. Talullah Rossi worked hard to become a pediatrician. Working with children gives her so much pleasure, but at times, the parents can be a problem. One such case is the father of one of her patients who believes that she is interested in him even though she has made it clear that she is not. Darren “Scout” Finch is the beloved son of the wealthy Finch family, but he pursues his own career with the Army’s Delta Force. When his buddy sets him up with a blind date, he soon finds himself falling for Talullah Rossi. She is smart, strong, cares deeply for her patients and is not interested in his wealth. She feels that Scout could be the one; he is protective without overwhelming her, generous and kind. When her patient’s father becomes an irrational threat, she turns to Scout and his “salsas” for help. This fast-paced story was everything I wanted in a romantic suspense story. Loved it! Loved the next installment in the Delta Force series. Talullah has worked hard to become an awesome pediatrician, and has recently moved into a home that she hopes to one day fill with a family. Darren (“Scout”) is looking for someone who will accept him, and not expect him to leave Delta Force. When Gillian and Trigger (Delta Force) decide that the pediatrician for their twins would be perfect they decide to play matchmaker and set them up on a blind date.
Sparks fly, but each of them is dealing with people trying to interfere. Crystal who is Scout’s ex, and Kyle, who is a drug rep that works with Talullah’s office, as well as a parent of one of Talullah’s patients. He convinces Talullah against her better judgment to go out on a date that was a mistake not to happen again, only Kyle is convinced they are meant for each other.
Lots of twists, turns, and suspense as Talullah and Scout get to discover each other while dealing with exes.

The two hit if off well but pharmaceutical sales rep and stalker, Kyle Diel who she had agreed to one date only has other plans for her. Kyle and his wife Elaine are getting a divorce and their daughter Brittany is caught in the middle with Kyle constantly trying to get Talulllah to take his side. Add to the mix, Scouts ex-girlfriend Crystal Manning is determined to get back with him even though he is done with her. When Scout and Talullah get closer the situation escalates. Scout and his team work together to take out the threats being faced.

I love all the books that are set in this world and Jen is one of my favourite authors so this is a win win situation for me and it was fast paced action packed ride that kept me engaged the whole time

Talullah Rossi is a pediatrician who has dedicated herself to taking care of her young patients. Scout (Darren Finch) is part of Delta Force. He would love to settle down and have a family but he needs the right woman who understands that he loves what he does and that she accepts it as part of him. As she agrees to a date with him, she runs into Neil who has been stalking her but she isn’t aware as to the extent. One of the things I love best about this author's work, is her ability to constantly surprise me. A stalker and a protective alpha love-interest aren't new ground to travel in romantic suspense, but the way the author deploys them in this book is something I hadn't seen before. I love that Tallulah is strong and capable in her own right. And that Scout, while desperate to look out for her, still respects her independence and right to make her own decisions. I'm not really sure what the twist near the end is going to bring for possible future stories, but I'm already anxious to find out.

I'm voluntarily reviewing this book after receiving a free copy. I found this book to be very engaging. Talullah and Scout are set up on a blind date and it goes very well. However there are some problems with the ex's that intrude on them getting to know each other more and another problem Scout has. Talullah and Scout are getting serious fast but are okay with it. I was surprised by the level that Talullah's ex went to but Scout handled. it. That is not to say Talullah was meek and mild in any way. This is a couple that is very well suited to each other.

Talullah has given everything to her practice taking care of kids. It's been her whole life then she lets Gillian talk her into a blind date with Scout and the sparks fly! But Scout has a hard time letting someone into his life women have wanted him for his family's name and money or the fact he's Delta. When Talullah gets a stalker who will do anything and use whatever and whoever he can to get her attention Scout is there for her. This book has drama, suspense, romance and finding true love when you least expect it. This is a book that when you start you won't stop till it's done.

This was a great read . Talullah is paediatrician doctor who is persuaded to go on a blind with scout a delta force team member(delta team two)by Trigger and Gillian. Both are strong funny independent people who have attracted the wrong kinds of people. When of Talullah's wrong kinds of person starts coming on strong and won't take no for an answer thing begin to unravel quickly. Scout will have to work quickly to neutralise the threat to himself and Talullah.

I loved the story of how Talullah made her own way all of her life, knowing what she wanted and how she would get there. After the grueling hours put in, she became the doctor she always wanted to be, in a practice that she is made for. Her patient's parents are a mixed bag of regular people, but when one of them suggests she meet a friend that would be perfect for her. She decides to take the plunge and see how it goes. Scout and Talullah make a perfect couple but challenges are coming their way. Grab the book and see how the future turns out and if they can have a future together.

But Tallulah has a stalker, a father of one of her patients who convinced her to go out with him once. It was a mistake that never happened again but Kyle has decided they are meant for one another. Scout has issues with an ex-girlfriend as well that threatens to cause problems in their relationship. But when Tallulah’s stalker becomes dangerous, Scout is the one she turns to. What a great read!

A blind date set-up that goes right for both parties startsoff Shielding Talullah. Talullah and Scout have an immediate connection which leads to deep feelings and so much more. There are some surprising twists, an persistent ex-suiter, abuse allegations and un ugly custody battle that keep both Talullah and Scout busy. He's got a couple of secrets that need revealing and she's in no hurry to jump into a long term relationship but the draw between them is palpable and growing stronger by the day.

Talullah made the mistake of going on one date with a patient's Dad just to try to get rid of him. He'd been after her for a while. It didn't help his obsession, it got worse. Thankfully she had a blind date that was actually good. Scout Delta Force and he's not about to let T's stalker get away with harassment and endangerment. As the story goes on, it gets more dangerous with an almost explosive end. No need to read the books in order, they are stand alone's.

An amazing story where the author uses humor to balance out the tragic parts. Talullah and Scout are both smart, strong, and protective, but they have their flaws. Their relationship starts off running and never stops. I love their witty banter. This ranks number one in my favorite books. I received a copy, and I'm voluntarily giving my honest review.

Shielding Talullah: WOW! Excellent story full of suspense, surprises and romance! There was never a dull moment for Talullah and Scout. From the time they met there were sparks and understood each other. They were honest with each other as well. It was a great story!

Fantastic Read
Wow...a fantastic captivating, suspenseful, page-turner with a bit of mystery and some exciting steam. The main characters Talullah & Scout are wonderful, witty and charming. An excellent adult romance that you will enjoy.

Loved Scout and Talullah, what a cute pair. Helped she already knew most of his friends. He adores her so much he can look past her purse fetish LOL.
