महाभारत की कथा पर आधारित यह एक ऐसा उपन्यास है, जिसमें आचार्य जी ने कर्मयोग के महत्व को बड़े ही रोचक ढंग से प्रस्तुत किया है। राजनीति में पारंगत कर्मयोगी कृष्ण और भावना की साकार प्रतिमा राधा का जैसा चित्रण ‘धर्मोरक्षति’ में हुआ है, वैसा अन्यत्र दुर्लभ है। इसके साथ ही गान्धारी और द्रौपदी के तपे हुए जीवन की विलक्षण कथा वास्तव में यह सोचने को बाध्य करती है कि महाभारत काल की ये दोनों नारियां महान् थीं। आचार्य चतुरसेन की सशक्त लेखनी से प्रस्तुत यह उपन्यास अचरज और जिज्ञासा को अन्त तक बनाए रखता है।

Plain and simple story. Only good thing was the details of hsitorical contexts in last few chapterrs of the book.

This is a book which you do not expect from Acharya Chatursen. He is known for his well researched and gripping books, but all these qualities are complete missing in Dharmorakshati.
It is more of a fast paced television program rather than a well prepared mythological book. Story is very loose, timeline of events is not concrete.
It fails to meet the expectations totally.
