Book 2 of 5! There’s Instalove magic in the air as five best friends arrive at a destination wedding in the mountains.
MOLLY - I can’t stand Lynx Lodge! Rustic and romantic? I’d settle for boring and normal. Except for Rocky. He’s rushed to my rescue more than once. Me? I’m a wallflower, not a prom queen. And now I’m falling for the smoldering black eyes and sizzling embrace of the billionaire best man. But I have to face it. We’re just too different.
ROCKY - I admit it. I’m a total workaholic. But coming out west to Lynx Lodge was the best thing that ever happened to me. Correction. Molly was the best thing. She was perfect, and I was wild to get closer to her. But there was just one problem. And that issue was almost as big as the mountain outside the front window.
Molly and Rocky might just make the perfect couple. But not unless they can share a vision of the future.
Molly needed help. She's had a shower emergency. Luckily there was a knight in shining armor near by. Rocky is the best man in her friend's wedding. He's successful, and handsome. Rocky is able to see the real Molly. Fate has thrown them together. They become close as they talk and share their life stories. I was surprised that they bonded so quickly. Rocky is a great guy. He had a rough time growing up. Molly is a very inventive baker. Her mind is full of ideas and plans. Her father has helped her start her business. Molly is amazing. Even though they just met I knew that they were meant to be together. Lynx Lodge is a magical place. The atmosphere here nourishes romance. I love how this group of friends have such wonderful a wonderful bond. Anne Louise has written a sweet romance filled with love and joy. The stories make me smile. I'm ready for Sage to find her HEA.
I usually don't read very short fiction because I like to watch the World Building that goes on in long stories. Similarly, I tend to find Inspirational fiction to be lacking in the psychological depth and development of the characters and storyline that I so enjoy. However, something about this book caught my attention and just wouldn't let me go. And I am glad to see this book broke my knee jerk reactions to both these categories. I enjoyed this book immensely and will be picking up the next books as they become available.
Anne Louise writes a good clean story, but she ensures that there is enough tension and solid back story to keep the narrative moving. This is true for the new characters that are being developed and the ones we have already met. Although these books are designed to be part of a great interconnected storyline, each can be read as Stand Alone HEAs. All stories run concurrently during a Wedding in the Mountains, and it's fun to see where action happened 'off the page' in the previous story, where each of the bride's wedding party gets her own story.
I was happy to see that, despite clocking in at only 77 pages, I had a story with quite a few chuckles, some great laughs, and good tension. The storyline can be a little transparent in places, but with a target of being a 2 hour read that is to be expected. Louise's writing style will pull you in from the first line and, as with all good short writing, is brilliantly crafted so that in places I have just highlighted sentences to go back to and savor. With a tight, clean, prose style; solid, well developed primary and secondary characters; wonderfully vivid writing style; and an ability to transport the reader into the rugged outdoor setting, you'll be signing up for a stay at the Lynx Lodge yourself and hoping you will meet the human and non-human characters who reside at The Lodge.
Anne Louise earned a full FIVE STAR review for the time and care she put into crating this excellent short story.
NOTE: Although this is listed as an Inspirational Romance, a genra that really isn't my normal go to genera, this was not preachy in the least and was a great fun read. Clean and Wholesome, but still engaging. If you usually dismiss this category out of hand, do yourself a favor and pick this book up and check out Anne Louise's other books.
As the series continues, book two is centered around Molly and Rocky. Molly, who works in the hospitality field, was asked to prepare the wedding cake for Lisa and Mark. Rocky was the best man and wheels and deals in real estate but his company recently expanded into the hospitality market.
It begins when they meet in an unusual situation. He was walking around the lodge, hears a woman scream and goes to investigate. He saves a damsel in distress and he appears as her white knight. From that moment on, the sparks start to fly between them. Molly and Rocky start to build a relationship until she discoveries that his company is trying to buy her company. Things get a little tense between them. Will they put their differences aside or go their separate way after the wedding has taken place? Join Molly and Rocky as they work out issues with not only the issue with the pavilion, the baking issue, but also their relationship.
What a great story. As with the previous book, everything appealed to me. The characters and the surroundings are wonderful; makes you feel like you are there celebrating with the bride and groom. Again, a perfect cozy with just the right amount of humor and adventure that will keep any reader completely engaged. I highly recommend the series!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It's Mark and Lisa's turn to get married with their destination wedding at Lynx Lodge. What better place where you have the mountains and the great beautiful outdoors at a quaint mountain lodge. And Molly is not only a bridesmaid but also since she is a dessert caterer extraordinaire, Lisa asked her to make their wedding cake. Being a workaholic hospitality entrepreneur and always looking to get ahead wouldn't stop her from her friend's wedding. Isn't a wedding a great place to find romance? But Molly is not interested-doesn't have the time-she just wants to grow her incredibly successful family business. And we have Rocky, Mark's best main, who is a successful real estate mogul billionaire who is a total workaholic looking to grow his business into the hospitality field. Can you fall in love by looking across the room and finding the girl of your dreams? That's what's got Rocky and Molly baffled. It seems so right, but how could it be so wrong? Since they both have opposite ideas on how to build success how could they find happiness together? Well...you have to read this wonderful book in this series to find out. And I highly recommend the First book, Tilly as well. A fun, clean romance series it books you can read in one sitting! I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
Wedding at Lynx Lodge novellas: Tilly, #1 - Sweet with good humor, fun friends and good story lines. The only complaint: Tilly following the "Head Game" instead of talking things out with others or Ryan. 4*
Molly, #2 - Cute and sweet. A nice getaway for an hour with a cuppa and a fur baby. It is Molly and Rocky's turn to be highlighted. Rustic is not her thing and she has a few frights waiting for her. Rocky can handle rustic or Toronto, which is Molly's choice when a beach isn't available. I kept looking for Betty to make another appearance. 4*
Sage, #3 - Another lovely, sweet addition to the series, BUT Sage has problems. She always went negative and nasty, even Jonny had already proven himself. But the story ended well. I would have thrown her of the mountain, but she did right in the end. 4*
Zoey, #4 - A quick, fun read with Zoey and Nick. Good characters. Good story lines. Well written. Entertaining. 4* Wedding at Lynx Lodge novellas end.
Anne Louise's 'Lynx Lodge' five-book summer series covers best friends who travel to their friend's destination wedding. Each book is about one of the women. 'Molly,' the second book, tells the story of Molly, an entrepreneurial 30-something who started a bakery that's evolved into a family business, which is constantly fending off takeover bids. She is single, beautiful and totally involved in her business. When she meets Rocky, the groom's best man and a wealthy entrepreneur himself, sparks fly, and each encounter raises the romantic temperature. But when she discovers that Rocky is behind the takeover she's currently fending off, their fiery attraction turns to ashes. Will Molly and Rocky find a way to combine their talents and find true romance? Will Molly's wedding cake make it to the ceremony in one piece? Read this fast-paced, entertaining romcom and find out!
As like the first book, I enjoyed this book! Of course the scenery is awesome and the characters are realistic. This is Molly's story. Molly is a baker that owns a successful business. She meets Rocky, a friend of the groom. She is a friend of the bride and is going to bake the wedding cake. She finds out that the oven at the lodge won't suit her needs, so Rocky offers his kitchen at his condo. Molly finds out that someone is trying to buy out her business but she's not selling. Does Molly find out who is trying to take her business? Does Molly and Rocky get together in the end? Find all these answers and more when you read this book.
I loved this sweet and clean romantic comedy that centered around Molly and Rocky who are in a wedding at rustic Lynx Lodge. I knew as soon as I started reading that I would not put the book down until I read every word because it was such a great escape from everyday stress. This is book two in the Wedding at Lynx Lodge series and I can't wait to see what happens in book three. I received an advance reader copy of Molly and am voluntarily leaving my review. If you enjoy well written rom-com, don't miss this one!
You aren’t supposed to find love at a destination wedding when you aren’t the bridal couple.
Molly doesn’t expect to find love at a rustic lodge which isn’t her usual cup of tea until she meets Rocky. He is the charming best man who sweeps her off her feet. But there is a slight problem they want different things in life.
Can they be able to make things work out or will it just be a bitter sweet memory? A delightful romance in this series.
Molly is book 2 is the short story series. A group of friends all come together at Lynx lodge to celebrate their friends wedding. In book one we met the maid of honor, Tilly, and went on her journey of finding love at first sight. In this book, Molly, is one of the brides maids. Two people that are tops in their career fields, instant electricity and misunderstandings. So far Molly and Rocky are my favorite couple in the series, and I can't wait to read book #3.
Oh my! What a wonderful read from the first page. This book had me laughing and loving the courtship of Molly and Rocky. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series and I absolutely loved that the book didn't end with a cliffhanger but we were able to get to the HEA in one book. If you are looking for a good clean romantic book, this is it. I received an advanced copy of this book and I am leaving my opinion of the book voluntarily and without influence from the author.
This, the second novella in the series, is just as much fun as Tilly but slightly more risqué. The love lives are hotting up and it’s great. The only thing missing is Bruce, the dog. Can’t wait for Sage, the third of these sweet romantic tales, which take place in the most beautiful of settings.
The second short story is a replay of the first book only told from the perspective of Molly and Mark who have their own relationship with the bride and groom and formal relationship between themselves. It’s an interesting way to write a short story on character development and relationships between people. I think the author did a very good job of building those relationships.
Molly was a mess when a hornet was after her. Rocky heard her scream and grabbed her. He thought someone was hurting her. After everything calmed down, she was afraid she would never see Rocky again. She was wrong. They hit it off (most of the time) and really got to know each other. I enjoyed this short story of Molly and Rocky.
This 2nd book at Lynx Lodge was just as good as the first book! Molly & Rocky are so great together. Molly keeps finding herself in situations where she ends up being "rescued" by Rocky! Molly & Rocky's story is what kept me reading & enjoying this book. I laughed, cried & thoroughly enjoyed reading this story.
After Tilly and Ryan, we have Molly and Rocky. She's a baker with a flourishing business based on a close-knit family. He's a mega-rich and hard-headed businessman with a soft centre. Perfect summer reading. And I love the way the events leading up to the wedding are slowly being revealed. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Love this new clean and romantic series by Anna Louise. The story which is short is perfect for a summer evening read. BOOK 2 focuses on the relationship that Molly and Rocky develop during the couple days that they are at Lynx Lodge and the adventures that they. The outcome for them is perfect.
Holy moly!!!! Its shocking how this book is written. Love this group of people!!! Shows how friends are there for each other and makes sure to make your important moments extra special. Molly Molly molly!!!!! She is strong and great and proud!!! Rocky is a character and strong and makes them special!!!!
Molly and Rocky's first meeting is quite comical. Sparks are flying. Loved seeing these two get together but of course there is a bit of angst. Great ending. Looking forward to book 3.
Great surprise couple meet cute. Lots of wedding activities. Delightful happily ever after. Thanks to the author for providing a copy. My review is voluntary.
