My ARC review of book #5 by Lisamarie Kade, and what a Hot, Juicy one it is!
Charla comes from money and has a very controlling father who still thinks he can run her adult life and force her to marry Corey. A total womanizer, who wants her and won't stop until he gets her. Well, not until she meets bad boy East who owns The Red Society Strip Club. Bad boy, bad boy, whatchya gonna do? Whatchya gonna do when he comes for you...
According to Daddy, he will ruin her/their reputation and he forbids her from seeing him. (Insert eye roll).
This story has a Big twist at the end and Charla finally has a say in her life and there's nothing her Dad can do about it. So many lies!! Book two in this series will showcase Spencer who is Charla's bf and his girlfriend Scarlett's story. Can't wait to read!

What a great read from Lisamarie. She gave us a great read that was filled with red hot chemistry, secrets and lies, betrayals and family. So much goes on you will be hooked from the beginning to the end.
When Charla's father is trying to run her life and force her to marry a real prize in the shape of Corey. He is awful and not what a father should want for his daughter. When she meets East, the bad boy her father will hate, he gives her the strength to rebel.
Looking forward to seeing what happens next in this series

Absolutely loved this book. Charla is not the normal spoiled rich girl. She's likeable. She doesn't want to live off daddy's money. She has a job working with her friend, Spencer.
East is dark, quiet and sexy. Together they are explosive. I didn't expect the twist the story took. It was fantastic.

This book was so unexpected! I could not put it down! I loved reading about the connection between the characters grow and form. All the twists snd turns were unexpected but I was living for it!

Good book
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. Some very hot hot scenes as well. Ups and downs with the characters and their dynamic but everything is so good. I loved this pairing and the writing was well done. Good read!

"You taste like a drug I can't get enough of. The perfect drug."
I cannot begin to say how much I absolutely loved this book. Lisamarie's books always make me forget the real world around me when I open them up and Shattered Illusion did just that. East and Charla are this amazing couple that have to each maneuver through their own issues in order for anything to work between them. They are from two completely different worlds.
Charla has had almost the perfect life. She has never wanted for anything because her father has always taken care of her. Now that she is older and making her own career she wants to pave her own path but he is having none of that. He is dead set on marrying her off to his potential replacement as mayor. The thing is, this man is not who her dad thinks he is and she wants absolutely nothing to do with him.
East could not be any more different from Charla. Sure, he has money as the owner of a successful strip club but his upbringing is nothing like Charla's. From the moment he sees her he is drawn to her. He knows he is not the man for her yet he cannot bring himself to stay away. Clearly he is a gluten for punishment.
Charla is so drawn to East even though she pretty much despises him unless in their intimate moments. Even with the hate she feels towards him she is equally drawn to him and finds herself running to him when she needs help. She cannot stay away from him, even when her best friend is telling her to, she just can't.
Once truths are out in the open and Charla breaks through East's walls they are unstopable. While completely insatiable for each other the entire time feelings actually get involved and I was there for it. The way East is with Charla and how he lets her worm her way into his heart....I LOVED IT! I will try to sit patiently waiting for the next book in the series but I must say the bar has been set high with East and Charla!!!

Charla and East were not in the same categories. Charla was sheltered and spoiled until her father pushed for something she truly did not want. East had been hurt and found it hard to trust and believe in having better. They were hot together, and both learned what they were made up. With doubts coming to the surface, it became harder to trust, but love held them together. I enjoyed this story.

When I say this book has everything....it has EVERYTHING! I absolutely love how dark and sexy it is but the drama kept me on the edge of my seat. An absolute page turner that will have you sweating! 5 stars all the way
