Where is God when we cannot seem to hear or see Him? He is with us. He is working providently in all things to accomplish His plans and purposes. And nowhere do we see this more clearly than in the book of Esther.
Esther is a 3-week study that will:
•Show you how to find God in Esther •Help you see the ways God is working in your life even when He is seemingly silent •Give you confidence in God's faithfulness to fulfill His plans and purposes •Teach you what it looks like to stand courageously for God right where He has placed you
Really appreciated going through this book for devotions this past month. Great reflections on what we can learn from Esther, and the workbook exercises stirred up helpful engagement with the text.
I am a huge fan of Daily Grace Co.’s studies. This was no exception! Great perspective and good depth in Esther. I have studied Esther before so I was hesitant going I to it, but the Lord reminded me of so many things, especially the season I am currently walking through. My I my complaint about the study itself is that the reading amounts are not consistent Day-to-day. But I loved how the questions and commentary would have cross-references to other areas in the Bible. I also never realized how heavily Esther mirrors the gospel story of Jesus and our redemption through His sacrifice. Definitely recommend!
Such a great devotional read! I love these books from Daily Grace. They provide deep dive into the book of choice and to chapter by chapter to really get into the message. Also allows plenty of space for writing notes, thoughts, prayers. So good!
I just love these studies. I actually don’t love having to write each day, I would prefer to read more commentary, but I think it’s good for me to have to think things through.
I really enjoyed this study on the book of Esther. I appreciate the focus being on God's providence and not on fasting, which is what most studies typically focus on as it relates to Esther.
This has been a wonderful three week study. It was a timely encouragement that God is sovereign over evil, and that He will always provide a way of deliverance for His people.
This was my first study by Daily Grace Co. The book is beautiful, the pages are glossy which causes the ink and highlighters to smear though. I love the beginning of the book, it has a “How to Study the Bible” page, an “Attributes of Gods” page, a timeline of scripture, historical setting and more great information! I did this Esther study along with another Esther Bible study book and I’m glad I did bc they both touched on different aspects of scripture! I bought another one because I felt like this Esther Study was very quick. By the end of the first week you are already on Chapter 4, and I wanted to dig a little deeper in to each chapter. My takeaways: 1. Reminder of how God is always at work behind the scenes in our lives just as he was in the lives of those in the Old Testament. 2. In the same way King A. made a new decree to save the Jews, God made a new way for us through Jesus Christ. We are no longer condemned by our sinful nature, we have been saved by his blood! 3. We do not fight holy wars the way they did before Christ. Our wars are spiritual and we are told in Eph 6 how we are to equip ourselves to fight these wars. Be alert always remember our ultimate victory is through Jesus Christ! God is in control!
took me forever to get through… still my favorite company for bible studies this one was just harder for me! jumped around a lot to other books instead of diving deeper into its focus book like others i’ve read did. still a good study on a very packed book of the bible!
Great study!! The book of Esther is different than most. Jesus is never mentioned once in the entire book of Esther so in general it is different BUT the study does an excellent job of pointing to how God still is present within the book of Esther
5 stars because it gets you in the Bible and gives you a better understanding of scripture. Teaches you that God is working even when you can’t see Him!
This book is a true representation of faith and fulfillment in this life. With constant reminders of trusting and praying, it is exactly what I needed to read.
I LOVED this study. It's a pretty looking book and an extremely powerful study. I loved that it deep dives into Esther and cross-references so many verses and themes in the Bible.
Wow. This study is LIFE CHANGING. I did this with a small group of women. I always knew the basic story of Esther, but when we dove in deep and studied the details, her story becomes more inspiring and uplifting. This study helps you realize that there is so much hope in the quietness (and even in the loudness); that God always has a plan even when you feel like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. I highly recommend this study regardless if it’s with a group or just by yourself.
