Audible listen, same as first 9 books.

Well, I'll start with my non-rating. I really like Terry Schott. Follow him on socials and he seems just like a great dude. I don't want to rate this and bring down any rating he might get on average.

For a series I once loved so much, I think at this point I'm tapping out. I don't know what the point of this entire book was. Character growth? Not really. Plot? Confusing at best, entirely haphazard mostly. Likeable characters? meh. I just don't get this anymore. And all the questions I used to have in anticipation for the next entry have turned into, who cares. This has dragged on far too long without getting anywhere. I had to speed up the audible 1.5x just to make it through the book.

I can't believe I'm writing this. I have a red bottlecap sitting on my counter for how much I've enjoyed the series. But none of it is making much sense anymore and I don't care about any character or world outcomes, so I think that's that for me. What a huge bummer.

**Enough's enough. I'm tapping out.**

I was hoping it wouldn't happen, given how hard I tried to keep my head above water and make sense of things. Every part of me was wanting and ready for this to be the final entry of this series so my arduous journey would finally pay off in SOME type of capacity. But my disappointment with the previous entry should have been telling enough that it wasn't gonna happen. And sadly, that ended up being the case. This isn't the final entry at all, a fact that made itself more known the deeper I got into this thing and my patience has officially died. Which absolutely ticks me off because this series was so damn intriguing at first, keeping me super invested and curious even amidst the confusion.

The main storyline is so very much off the rails that it's simply absurd now. I have no idea what's happening anymore. I don't remember who anyone is or why they're important. Frankly, I no longer care. This isn't even a case of simultaneous subplots branching out in wild directions anymore (though that's DEFINITELY still a major problem). This is legit taking the main storyline (or what's left of it) and either tearing it to shreds to scatter into a literal MESS of disorganized "chapters," or bogging everything down with pure nonsensical drivel that serves....no... .PURPOSE (!). At least that's how it feels. It's convoluted mayhem.

There's name drops of characters who are just randomly there in a scene with no introductions or exits. They're literally just THERE, as if they've been there all along. Who even are you people?!? As if it wasn't a struggle enough keeping the established names straight. Now I had to deal with random strangers? Everyone wanders around doing God knows what, getting sidetracked from whatever mission they were on or caught up in a bunch of other pointless things that amount to nothing. Seemingly important situations no longer mattered more often than not, or at least mattered a little less. I've gone and forgotten what ANYONE'S ultimate goal is in this series anymore, no idea what it's aiming for.

So yeah. It's enough already. I've had my fill of this series and will not finish it. Thanks for weighing down what was once such a fascinating premise with a whole lot of nonsense. Sigh.

This has by far been one of my favorite series to read. The simulation theory can be difficult for a person to wrap their head around. This particular entry in the series by far leads the way in that confusion factor.

I really enjoyed that we got to spend more time in Atonement. It seems like an interesting reality and has a ton of potential.

However, this book also talked about literally every reality we know about as well as some new additions. There is a ton of movement between them all by several characters. Add to that the different lives / identities of several characters and it gets real muddy real quick.

That said, I still look forward to the next book. Here's hoping it doesn't take too long to come out. (mostly because I'm afraid I'll forget more details and be even more confused!)

Ten years. (Earth time!) That’s a lot of time invested by an author in a series - and one that has yet to have any semblance of closure. It’s also a staggering amount of time for a reader to invest in a series, assuming they are reading the serialized novels as they are published.

The first book flew by, with an active, intriguing plot line, interesting characters and numerous subtexts about existential reality. However, subsequent editions have gotten foggy, with characters changing names, realities, timelines, to the point where you need Sparx to keep a spreadsheet of who’s doing what, where, with whom and when.

Time and distance will do that. For both the reader, and in this case, perhaps the author. Ten years broken up into bits is challenging for anyone. And I don’t blame Mr. Schott. As he continues down into the rabbit hole of inter dimensional connectivity, things are bound to get a little convoluted and countless possibilities open to explore. But ten years and counting is a long time to wait for all of the threads of a once-promising single storyline to come together.

And that, dear reader, is the only reality we are left with.

Three stars is not about the writing or storyline etc, it's about why I'm afraid to start Book 11 and how much time I spent reading 1-10 and still don't have any 'aha' moments. My basic agenda, besides entertainment and imagining possibilities, is some tie-in to creation, the first uncaused cause and God might not be what we thought he was, sort of thing. There's also the worrisome aspect of....you know how some scifi movies can have so much potential then they ruin it by putting kinda stupid things in? Ok, I need to start connecting the dots between Elliot (Vav?), Tav, Stephanie/devil, infernals, eternals, gold and red eye flecks, shimmers and portals.......
Sigh. I'll probably end up reading book 11. 🙄

Confused

I really had enjoyed this series but had a very hard time with this book. The plot was so confusing to me and it may be due to the fact that I just don't remember the whole synopsis of it. It a series is going to be this long then there needs to be a recap. Don't think I will be continuing on.

love the series

Had a bit of a hard time remembering who everyone was but as the book went along it jogged my memory. I just love the twists and turns Terry writes. He and Shawn Inmon are two of my favorites! Can’t wait for #11!

The MOST AMAZING STORYLINE!

I was drawn in by a buddy who recommended the first book to me a couple of years back, and I'm glad he did because I cannot get enough.. I'm ready for the next one! Thank you Mr. Schott!

Getting there now :)

Racing along now, our vision of this reality / dimension(s) is expanded greatly in this instalment. Anyone following the series will be delighted with the progress here, and no doubt eagerly await book 11.

This will be the end of my journey. I have loved this series so much but this one got so confusing I found myself just trying to get through it. I would love to know where everyone ends up but I don’t think my brain can help anymore

Best Series Ever!!

I can’t wait for the next book. I binge read this series in just shy of 2weeks. I really wish they would pick up this series and make a tv series. Not a movie!!! A whole series. At least 10+ seasons.

I thought this was the last book

Completely fascinated and addicted to this series. Took me 20 days to finish all 10. And WOW! Layers upon layers to this story. I am disappointed to have to wait for the 11th book. But knowing it's title has me anxious to read it
