While this is a practical theology for the church, written to pastors and leaders, I was deeply encouraged by its content. As a homeschooling mom of 3, who deeply desires to reproduce my faith in my children and the women around me, I was motivated and encouraged by Jesus model for disciple making.

I highly recommend this book for all believers who want to learn more of Jesus’ life and ministry, and practically apply His message and method to your life!

This is not a quick read. 😆 However, it’s a worthy read. This book focuses on what it means to make disciples of Jesus rather than followers of a movement.

Disciple-Making Disciples presents a solid and much-needed refocus on the church’s biblical mandate to make disciples who obey Christ rather than simply grow attendance or programs. I appreciated the way the book connects theology to practice, emphasizing accountability, formation, and the responsibility of the local church to actively shape believers. The practical theology framework was especially helpful in showing how doctrine should lead to lived obedience within Christian community. At times the material leans toward structure and methodology, which requires discernment to ensure discipleship remains Spirit-led and not formula-driven. Overall, this book serves as a strong corrective to consumer Christianity and reinforces a biblically faithful vision of discipleship.

Great read! This book challenged my perspective of corporate worship and reaffirmed that those who follow Jesus are His disciples, and our purpose is to make disciples. This work challenges that many of the formally undogmatized doctrines within modern Christendom can be best understood by studying and applying Jesus' model of disciple-making. Dr. Moody does an extraordinary job of explaining these topics in a way that challenges and encourages the Church.
