One person’s trash is another person’s treasure hunt… or body dump.
When Charlotte volunteers to help with the charity donation drive for the small town of Sweetwater Falls, she doesn’t expect to stumble across a cookie jar whose contents hint at a foul murder. With so many items coming in for the charity drive, it’s hard to tell who dropped off the incriminating evidence, and if they knew what they had.
Charlotte doesn’t know what to think when all fingers point to Frank—her friend who runs the newspaper stand. Charlotte knows she doesn’t have much time left if she wants to solve the murder and clear Frank’s name. The cozy small town of Sweetwater Falls might have a killer on the loose, and Charlotte won’t rest until she brings the guilty party to justice.

Charlotte is a sweet lovable character in the story book. She is surrounded by sweet and wholesome characters that make up her friends, family and customers. I especially love the part where they take Janet under their wing and surround her with love and friendship. The story gives you a lot of options of possible killers to keep you guessing. Plus a little sweet romance doesn’t hurt either right?.

Sweetwater Falls is preparing for its annual charity donation drive, and the whole town is bringing mountains of donations for the drive. Charlotte volunteers to help sort and organize the donations. She is taking a cookie jar over to another table when a pile of donated clothing falls on top of her, the cookie jar flies out of her hands and breaks into a million pieces, and a human hand comes flying out. The question is whose hand is it and where is the rest of that person? Suspects abound as everyone seems to have donated something to the charity drive. Frank, owner of the Nosy Newsy, has just dropped off some boxes – did one of them have the cookie jar in it? His girlfriend Delia is “away” and no one can get in touch with her. Is it her hand? Where is she? With the help of her Aunt Winnie and the Live Forever Club, they start their own investigation of the hand and who it belongs to. You won’t be able to put this book down. Although this is the 10th book in a series, you will have no problem reading it as a stand alone if you haven’t read the others in this series, and reading this will make you want to read the rest of them. I read it in on afternoon, and highly recommend this as your next read. You won’t be disappointed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Author Molly Maple has created such wonderful scenarios in her Cupcake Crimes series revolving around the wonderfully enticing Cupcake Queen Charlotte and her entire entourage of characters. This time around in Key Lime Killer, book 10 in the Cupcakes Crime series Charlotte is yet again drawn to the mysterious crime of finding by accident a severed and rather disgusting looking hand in a cookie jar donated to the local Sweetwater Falls charity event. But when it looks like one of her friends, Frank owner of the local Nosy News establishment could be involved Charlotte takes on the opportunity to solve the crime, even though her boyfriend Logan is a police officer for the local police station. Honestly there is never a dull moment in this quaint small township it seems, with murders and the constant creative battles Charlotte takes on to deliver the newest flavour of the month of cupcake deliciousness. Such wonderful stories each and everyone, which means they are easily read and enjoyed as a standalone story or better still enjoying the whole series. As I said truly wonderful characters each and everyone of them in such hilarous plots. Definitely worth savouring over!.

Charlotte and Marianne have volunteered to help with sorting out items for the Sweetwater Fall’s Charity donation drive. As Charlotte goes through one of the boxes, she finds a cookie jar. A large pile of donated clothing falls over and knocks the cookie jar out of her hands. When it breaks, there is a detached hand inside! Now Charlotte needs to find out whose hand it is and who hid it there! And where is the rest of the victim?
Charlotte and Logan, her boyfriend, start investigating. Will they find out what happened? When no one has seen Delia around, will they begin to look for her as well? Can they narrow down who donated the cookie jar and whether they knew what was inside? Did Frank have anything to do with it? And what happens if the murderer goes after Charlotte now?
This is another wonderful cozy mystery in this series! Great characters we all know and love, along with a fast-paced plot and a mystery to tackle, keep the reader avidly following along trying to figure out who did what and why! Grab your copy and join the hunt for the murderer!
The title lets you know right off the bat, what the flavor of the story is about. I love how each book also has the recipe in the back of the book. Charlotte lives in a town call Sweetwater Falls, with a name like this MURDER wouldn't not be what you would think of. What it happens, you never know what secrets little towns have. Charlotte volunteer to help out this year with the donation drive, she figure how hard can this be. Hard isn't the word that came to my mind when the donations started coming in. Grammy always told us children to be careful what is in someone else cookie jar, as it's not always cookies. Charlotte learned this as she came across this cookie jar in the donation pile. The last thing she figured was Frank taking the blame for this murder. Charlotte goes out of her way to help her friend out, as she knew there was no way he was a killer. So between cooking her Key Lime Cupcakes, handling the donation drive, she is now trying to solve this murder to save Frank.
While I loved this book, I did find it less cozy mystery and more women's fiction. There is a mystery at the center of this book, however, it seemed as though Charlotte, the main protagonist, did a lot less investigating than she had in previous books in the series. For me, the Live Forever Club (Charlotte's Great Aunt Winifred and her two besties, Karen and Agnes) were front and center this time around when they help Charlotte take a young woman, Janet, and her infant daughter, Rachel, under their wing. They are an incredible group of strong and loving women who any of us would want in our corner. The ending surprised the heck out of me which I loved. It's always great when you don't see it coming. This is a great series and, while you could probably read each book as a stand alone, I would highly recommend reading the series in order. Happy Reading!

Enjoyable quick read in this series of Charlotte the Brave, cupcake maker and her family and friends.
Charlotte and Marianne are helping out with Sweetwater Fall’s Charity donation drive. As Charlotte is helping to sort a box of donations, she finds a cookie jar. She’s moving the jar to a table for household items when the large mountain of clothing donations comes tumbling down. She drops the cookie jar and something falls out of it….and it’s not a cookie.
Charlotte and her boyfriend Logan are working the murder case so that they can remove friends of each as suspects. In the meantime, Charlotte needs to come up with this month’s cupcake and then getting backing to fulfill her customers’ orders.
I love the quirkiness of the Live Forever Club ladies both old and young.

A cute little mystery book + a cupcake recipe. What could be better?
This is the 10th book in the Cupcake Crimes series. I have not read the previous 9 books so I don’t know all the back story of the characters.
Charlotte is a baker in the town of Sweetwater Falls. She lives with her great - aunt and is best friends with the local librarian. She’s also dating Logan the cop. It’s time for a charity donation drive and Charlotte volunteers to help her best friend organize the items. A cookie jar falls and out comes a… hand.
Charlotte wonders who the hand belongs to and exactly who put it in the cookie jar. One resident is missing and Charlotte’s suspect goes missing. Charlotte also needs to come up with her cupcake of the month (cough…cough… the book title) and decides to help a town resident in distress. It sounds like a lot, but I promise it’s not!
I love the Live Forever Club ladies, old and young. I love how they embraced Janet and helped her through her crisis.
The whodunit? I didn’t even see that one coming…
I can’t wait to read more of this series, old and new.
Another great book in this series. I love the way a group of older ladies rally around to support each other and many other women in this little town. on to the next book!

Key Lime Killer: A Small Town Cupcake Cozy Mystery (Cupcake Crimes Series Book 10) by Molly Maple is a cute, quick read. While helping out at the Fall Charity drive Charlotte finds a woman’s hand in a cookie jar! While looking for the killer and trying to figure out who the victim is, Charlotte and her boyfriend are led down several dangerous paths. While keeping herself busy sleuthing, she still has to come up with the monthly cupcake flavor and bake dozens of cupcakes. Charlotte and her friends are there to help everyone and they always make others feel wanted and welcome. I love these girls. I wish I had friends like them! Key Lime Killer is a very enjoyable addition to this series. I received a free copy of this book.
I am fairly deeply invested in the lives of the Sweetwater ladies and their friends. I am glad to see Charlotte coming into her own and not being the klutz she once was.
I enjoyed the twists and turns this book took and how it dealt with Delia's mother (as someone who is also dealing with a mother with dementia). Despite knowing deep down that the killer was not a well-known character, my heart was racing when that accusation was made.
For the first time, I might actually make the cupcake featured in the book.
I did not enjoy the focus on the baby and I do fear that Charlotte will marry and have one and it will ruin the whole series.

Karen might have just discovered a new disciple to take under her wings
a new mama returns to the charity drive in search of a sweater she donated from her husband.
the too small sweater was not the only unusual item to appear - and one box had a cookie jar with a gory surprise
when a friend suddenly goes out of town and falls out of contact, the ladies begin to fear she met a bad end.
who and what in this small town is behind the disappearances?
what might happen next?
Charlotte proves herself more than worthy of her nickname Charlotte the Brave in a distressing series of events that also showcase a strong network if sisterhood support.

delightful characters and setting, I'd love to live in this town and meet the live forever club myself.
the only snag for me was in the mystery. i guessed the killer fairly early on, but the clues that axtually put charlotte onto their identity were only discovered by accident.
This is book 10 in Maple's Cupcake Crimes series. While each can be read as a stand alone I'm so glad I've been able to enjoy this each of these delicious reads. Charlotte along side her friends and family finds herself looking for another killer in this small town cozy mystery. A light, easy read with great storyline flow and amazing fun characters that are sure to delight any reader. Delicious from start to finish and I can't wait to see what will happen next and what new cupcake Charlotte will introduce us to next!

This book gave me goosebumps. We just had our charity drive at church, image finding a body part! I also loved the pun of finding a hand in the cookie jar. Now they have to figure out who left it and who does it belong to. I also loved how they helped out Delia and Janet. This was a very good story with lots happening. I also need to make the cupcake of the mouth. It had my mouth watering just reading the description and Betty’s expression when eating it for the first time. I really like Molly Maples books, not just for the stories but also for the recipes.

Charlotte has volunteered to help with the charity donation drive for the town of Sweetwater Falls. Due to world circumstances the charity drive was skipped last year so the donations this year are voluminous. Her bestie Marianne steps in to help organize the drop offs. While sorting boxes of donations Charlotte drops a cookie jar with a grisly find. She devotes herself to finding the culprit especially after many of the clues point to get friend Frank. Meanwhile her Aunt Winnie and company help a local woman and new friend find her courage. Must read!.

This is the first book in the Small Town Cupcake Cozy mysteries that I have read so I was not familiar with the series. I felt like the characters were well shaped and had great chemistry with one another. I felt like the author spent a good amount of time exploring the relationships of the characters by having several side stories going along with the mystery. While I enjoyed these, I wish she would have spent more time on establishing the mystery and the crime being solved. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy this cozy and look forward to going back and reading the rest of the series.

A two star book is not a bad book, this series just doesn’t have the depth and substance to be five star books.
As usual (apart from the mess of a book “Caramel Corruption”) I enjoyed a quick story from Sweetwater Falls, the small town with a horrifying amount of murder, crime & people who eat cupcakes on a weekly basis.
I love that these books only take 45 minutes to read, and have enough of a plot line from book to book that each one is enjoyable & continues the overall story of Logan & Charlotte (and Marianne and Carlos).
Right in time for fall, Charlotte, Marianne, and the Live Forever Club ladies are on the case again when Charlotte finds a severed hand in a donated cookie jar.
Between finding the owner of that hand, a missing person's case, being there for another lost soul to find her courage, she needs to keep her cupcake shop running and come up with her new flavor of the month.

This is a very sweet and fun read. I thought the characters are realistic and edgy.Ive always loved a culinary theme and this one does not disappoint. I loved the hint of romance and the drama was great. But what was really impressive was the amount of twists and turns the author sprinkles throughout the plot. I thought this was one amazing book.

So someone had their hand in the cookie jar, and it's still in there.
A cozy mystery you're pulled into trying to solve the mystery before you turn the last page. It's well written, flows smoothly, and captivating. The characters are fun to get to know and well developed. They work well together to solve the question of who dun it.

Key Lime Killer Mystery keeps you wondering who the killer is until the final chapters. I love the way Molly has developed the characters and the caring that is displayed. Community is “family” and you stand up and support your own. Love this series and of course a tasty recipe at the end of the book.

Charlotte is back at it once again, solving murders and baking cupcakes. Although this involved a murder, this story was really heartwarming. I love these group of friends, and their new addition Janets fits right in with the group of ladies we’ve all come to love. And I think that is what makes these books so special, the relationships found within the pages.
I love this series so much. Its so cozy and the world building is so fun. I will be so sad when this series ends. I know there is one more book after this, but I hope it isn't the last time we will be in sweet waterfalls.
Also when Logan said "goodnight Mrs. Flowers" I about died with excitement.

This book was so fun to read. I love how the lady got away from an abusive boyfriend like the main character’s best friend did in the beginning of this series. So sweet to follow the story. Loved that they found Delia and helped her clean her mom’s house.
I always look forward to a cozy mystery by Molly Maple, her covers are delicious looking and its always a fun mystery. This was a great entry in the Cupcake Crimes series.

Wow when they said a hand in the cookie jar, I never thought they meant it literally. Charlotte and the hang are at it again. The girls are so supportive I wish I had a crew like that and her boyfriend.
