From USA Today bestselling author Claudia Burgoa comes a new best friend’s sister, forbidden romance filled with humor and angsty at times.

It all started on a dating app and a fake name.
Instead of a hot hook-up, I end up face-to-face with Kingston St. James.
He’s one of the most striking and wealthy men in Seattle—as well as my brother’s best friend.
Logic dictates I walk away, but curiosity wins and we follow Myka’s Easy Rules for Healthy
Rule #1: Don’t expect anything.
Rule #2: Never wish for more.
Rule #3: Don’t swoon.
Rule #4: Don’t give endearing nicknames to your hookup.
Rule #5: Don’t be possessive, your hookup doesn't belong to you.
Confession I’m making up the rules as we go.
And surprise, surprise, this casual fling rapidly evolves into a friend-with-pretty-weird-benefits (and not the sexy kind).
Kingston is suddenly breaking the hookup rules. He’s all charm and affection, turning possessive and… probably hoping for more than just a fling.
We accidentally find ourselves tangled in something more than just a fling. It’s something dangerously close to love.
We might be heading into a collision where the most beautiful accident or the most disastrous end might happen.

2.0 stars. Wayyy too many unknown characters, subplots, and timeliness (evidently from other series?). I don't wanna even start with the Archer/Finn thing. 🙄 Then there are the occasional hookups by Kingston/Myka throughout the book that don't add up to any kind of romance or relationship to me. Especially when Kingston says at the 70% mark that he doesn't know her well, but he thinks he's in love with her. 🤯

Frustrating, dull, and confusing.

I love Claudia Burgoa’s stories. She writes complex characters with a heavy amount of angst to accompany the sweetness.

Accidentally In Love is the third installment of the St. James family and continuation of her Against All Odds series. I’m sad to say I didn’t love this book.

3.5 stars

There is so much going on with the side characters it completely overshadows the building love story for Kingston & Myka. I haven’t read the Luna Harbor series yet and felt completely lost trying to figure who all these people were. So much trauma and suffering by Kingston’s brother, sister and Myka without an explanation of what happened was very confusing.
I remember “The Agency” being introduced in another series. Having several characters connected to that organization in this story made this seem like a continuation for another series.

Kingston & Myka meet by accident through a dating app. He is stuck in a small town and decides to find a quick hook up. They are both mid to late thirties and haven’t seen each other in a very long time and decide why not have fun. Kingston is reluctant at first, she is supposed to be his best friends’s little sister and off limits. Neither wants a relationship and want to keep things casual. Kingston finds himself drawn to Myka, sends her food, convinces her to see him again and again.

I enjoyed the banter in their text conversations. I didn’t feel any love connection with them until the end, after her past was revealed and then it was all wrapped up so quickly it just felt rushed. Myka & Kingston needed more time together without all the family drama, to evolve as a couple.

What a mess of people

Unless you have read the previous books in this series, it is a confusing mess of subplots and characters, which are only confusing. Since I had read some of them, I had a vague idea, but really, I didn't enjoy this book. Story did not stand on its own

Accidentally In Love is an OMG and unexpected, I’m so grateful crossover that I was beyond ecstatic about! Kingston St. James and Myka Cantu couldn’t have been a more opposites attract couple and of course Claudia Burgoa created some serious magic here. The gravitational pull, strong connection and undeniable chemistry made this unlikely couple come together in the most amazing way possible.

There are so many things to love about Kingston and Myka’s entertaining, sexy, romantic and beautiful journey and I couldn’t help but bond with them. I liked that they were already familiar with each other considering Kingston is Myka’s brother’s best friend. I also like that they unknowingly hook up through a dating app, Kingston is a hot billionaire, Myka has her own agenda which doesn’t include a relationship and neither one of them is looking for anything solid however, I was hoping from the moment they agreed to this fling, there would be something more. They definitely weave themselves into a web of mind blowing sex just as feelings start to creep in.

Trust me when I tell you that Claudia Burgoa truly did the most with this storyline as it’s packed with all the goodness, a little angst (hello, it’s her trademark) tender and emotional moments and it’s so much more than just two people simply looking for a fling and a hook up. My heart is beyond full and Kingston and Myka are soulmates who truly deserve each other.

This best friend's little sister, friends with benefits, forbidden romance was so swoon-worthy, angsty, and hilarious! I loved the main characters and seeing characters from previous books. Kingston and Myka love story was fully of dirty talk, chemistry, smut, and amazing banter. I could not get enough of these two and the storyline was one I throughly enjoyed.

Well, I didn't see this pairing coming!

Imagine setting up a profile on a dating app (or a hookup app) using a fake name and then meeting the person you're matched with, who also used a phony name, and you know them. Well, that's just the beginning of this funny scenario. Kingston is ready to call it off, but Myka being the independent, confident woman she is becoming, convinced Kingston to have just one night of fun. Little did they know one night wouldn't be enough for either of them.

I listened to the audiobook version of this book; Jason Clarke and Vivienne LaRue did an excellent job of bringing Kingston and Myka to life. I loved the fun and playfulness they showed in some of the texts that were sent, as well as the heat they evoked in the sexy, sensual texts as well.

** Audio Review **
Swoon! Accidentally in Love by Claudia Burgoa was a light, sexy, and heartfelt brother’s best friend to lovers romance that I could not stop listening to and left the biggest smile on my face. Claudia brings her signature charm with beautifully written characters with big nurturing families and loveable hearts. Kingston and Myka’s hook-up to forever romance was hot and undeniable right from the start.

Jason Clarke and Vivienne LaRue narrate this audiobook. Both brought a fun, flirty quality to their performances. Vivienne captured Myka’s alluring and passionate persona perfectly. Myka also had many emotional layers revealed about her past. Vivienne’s vulnerable tone made you empathize right along with her. Jason’s portrayal of hunky, confident Kingston was spot on, dreamy, and fantastic! Kingston and Myka have a fiery hot, meant-to-be chemistry, and Jason and Vivienne’s performances exuded this chemistry from
beginning to end.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a brother’s best friend-to-lovers romance with an impressive, charismatic hero, a pink-wearing determined heroine, a trip to Luna Harbor, witty text exchanges, one-night hook-ups, friends with benefits, comforting a sister, take out from your fave Thai restaurant, Hawaii beach getaways, lots of steamy times, twin baby boys, Pinterest boards, a reliable family, and a HEA that was anything but an accident, then you will love Kingston and Myka’s story. I always look forward to more from Claudia Burgoa.

What starts as a hookup becomes so much more. A girl when she was a girl, has grown up to become a strong woman who has endured so much in her life. Welcome back to the St James family, and it is a ride! All self imposed rules be damned.

ARC kindly provided for the author in exchange for an honest review

I've been waiting for Myka's happy ending ever since I read the first book in Luna Harbor series, and I have to say that, like Nydia, I wanted her love interest to be Mitch, BUT I love that Claudia Y. Burgoa made the decision to make Kingston his partner because these two are perfect for each other, their love story was a little lighter than the previous ones by this author, and although it has its touches of angts, it was much more fun, tender and adorable than I expected.

Knowing the truth behind the trauma Myka went through as a young girl broke my heart, but it helped me to understand better her attitude in Finally You and I LOVED reading her as a strong and independent woman who is trying to get her life back on track and find her place in the world, and although she has the love and support of her family, Myka constantly tries to walk away from any possible rejection to avoid getting her heart broken again. One of the things I liked the most about her character was her outgoing, unfiltered and flirtatious personality: I really enjoyed reading her mess with Kingston in the simplest and funniest ways!

Kingston is the eldest of the St. James, the protector of his siblings and who bears all the responsibility for their happiness, is a grumpy man, a workaholic who, after seeing his parents' disastrous marriage, doesn't believe in love, until he is reunited with Myka and his whole world is turned upside down. Together they begin to break all the rules of casual encounters and friends with benefits, little by little they fall in love with the small actions they have with each other and although they try to run away from what they feel, is impossible to both and I think Claudia gave them one of my favorite endings to her stories!

I know, I know... I love Claudia's work and I was so pumped for the next St. James story but I didn't LOVE Kingston and Myka's story as much as I thought I would.

3.5ish ⭐

Accidentally in Love is the third book in Claudia's Against All Odds: The St. James Family series but there is also crossover from Luna Harbor as well as a few of her other series. Now most of the time I love all the crossover and I find it fun to piece all the little details together but it just felt overwhelming for me with this book. Maybe because it's been a while since I read the St. Jameses or some of the others but I don't think that someone who had never read any of the other stories would understand a good portion of this story. I've read many of them and I struggled a bit with trying to place the various family dynamics and details.

Myka Cantu might have been one of Kingston's best friends' little sister but these two had this connection on an almost cellular level that once they had a taste neither of them could walk away- but that's not to say that either of them acknowledged that connection in any way other than as a semi-steady hook-up. I loved their texting banter. That was probably some of my favorite parts of this story- they were fun and flirty, a tease of sass all laced with not only lust and sex but an undercurrent of affection.

Intertwined through the flirty fun there was also a heavy component to Myka and Kingston's story- from King having to deal with the aftermath of his sister Teddy's trauma, getting snippets of the Archer/Finnegan debacle, to slowly uncovering all the mysterious pieces of Myka's own past trauma and heartbreak- all while Myka is also in the throws of possibly adopting. I liked how Myka and Kingston both kind of leaned on each other during the hard moments despite trying to ice each other out or the "rules" of their relationship telling them not to- it created a tenderness in the midst of some of the chaos surrounding them and their hearts.

While this isn't my favorite couple or story from Claudia- Myka and King serve as another piece in the big big puzzle connecting some of her worlds together in a way I wasn't expecting.

OMG I adored this book!!! If I could give it more stars I would.
I could not think of a better match for Kingston St James than Myka Cantù.
Linking these two families together made me so so happy.
This hookup come perfect match was an amazing read and so well written.
I would gladly put myself into either of these families and feel like I was coming home... together it was sheer perfection.
This story was handled remarkably well considering the content, it pulled at my heartstrings and the HEA at the end was definitely deserved.
Kingston has a.ways been swoony and protective but this stories just made me love him even more.
Definite must read.

3.5 stars.

There was a lot going on in Accidentally in Love. Kingston and Myka have been in each other's orbit for years, so when they meet up on a dating app they decide...one night couldn't hurt, right? And thus begins their "no, we're totally just hooking up, no feelings, except we talk all the time and spend a lot of time together" game.

I did feel like there was a lot going on in Accidentally in Love. A ton of side characters take up so much space that I felt like the romance between Kingston and Myka was moved to the back burner. And while Myka was super supportive of Kingston (and his sister) and proactively recommending therapy for him, I wanted to yell out "pot calling the kettle black," as Myka desperately needed some therapy too.

At the end of the day, I always enjoy Claudia Burgoa's stories and this is no exception. Accidentally in Love was a cute story with insight into trauma, support, and how family can come together.

Wonderful Story & Listen🎧Charming & Delightful!

Accidentally In Love
Against All Odds: The St. James Family, Book 3
By Claudia Burgoa
Narrated by: Jason Clarke, Vivienne LaRue

“Accidentally in Love” is a charming and heartfelt brother’s best friend to lovers romance and no accident here, I love, love, loved everything about it, from Claudia Burgoa’s wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. Burgoa’s world building and character development is fantastic and so is the way characters from different series crossover and she masters it seamlessly. With all the turmoil going on with his family, it was safer for Kingston St. James to lay low, so he is staying in Luna Harbor. He is bored and lonely, so he signed up for a dating app not using his real name. And when he gets a hit he was not expecting to know her, Myka Cantú, his friend’s sister and who should be off limits, but she convinces him otherwise. Neither was looking for anything serious, just a fling, but the chemistry between them was too strong to deny and they fell into an easy ‘no relationship” relationship. I thought these two were great together and for each other, but her past demons continue to haunt her and she felt once he found her secret out, he would not want her, anyway. Kingston turned out to so much more, and one who had a heart of gold, he surprised me and I think he even surprised himself. Kingston and Myka’s love story is a beautiful one, and I loved how it all played out, the plotting is wonderful and there is a perfect balance of drama, angst, charming humor, witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions and a steamy romance. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another captivating story and emotional rollercoaster.

🎧📚🎧  And for the fabulous narration, Jason Clarke and Vivienne LaRue did an amazing job portraying these characters and did so with a complete understanding of who they were, giving each a voice that fit that character’s persona and was believable in every role they played. Jason Clarke nailed it as Kingston, swoon worthy and all. Vivienne LaRue’s Myka was spot-on, grasping every side of her personality, from her vulnerabilities to her determination and strength. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.  Thank you for another wonderful listen.

Accidentally in Love
Against All Odds: The St James Family #3
By Claudia Burgoa
Narrated by Jason Clark & Vivienne LaRue

Oh what a story! Claudia Burgoa crosses over two series to give us King & Myka's book! Not only do they find each other on a dating app, but they have the same ideas when it come to relationships. They don't want commitment, just fun. So it could not be better! Myka is feeling her biological clock tick though and taking things into her own hands, she begins looking into adoption. Will this fill her needs? Or is there more to her and King? And what will happen when the family finds out? Or if King finds out about her past? This is a spicy, romantic and wonderful story, filled with all the Buroga goodness. Plus we get glimpses of all our favorites as the family pops in! Loved this addition and that Myka and King get their happily ever after!

Jason Clarke and Vivienne LaRue bring all the feels to this story with a fabulous narration. These two dive into the characters and bring them alive. Clarke is the aloof King at the beginning, but we can feel his change as Clarke's voice takes on different nuances. LaRue too holds Myka at arms length in the beginning. She keeps her there a bit longer as she deals with her past and her future. I love how these two meld the characters together and bring out all the love. It's a wonderful performance.

Another fantastic read/listen from Claudia.

Kingston and his family have experience some trauma and he’s looking for a release…literally. He gets more than he bargained for with a quick fix.

Myka is full of sass and is a tough girl…it’s all a facade covering for her past experiences that have left her damaged.

There is so much going on in this story, not only the relationship between Kingston and Myka, but a lot of family drama. What starts out as a quick fix, turns into a wonderful romance. As usual, Claudia takes your heart through the wringer but then makes it all better.

Kingston and Myka’s banter, text messages and overall interactions are so funny and entertaining. The cameos from other characters/series was great.

Jason Clarke could read a phone book to me and I’d be happy!! His voice is so smooth, smexy and perfection for Kingston. Vivian LaRue is a new to me narrator and I really loved her voice - she gave depth, character and the perfect emotion to Myka. Both Vivian and Jason’s performances were amazing!

Kingston and Myka have some serious chemistry from the very beginning. It is easy to see how the two of them are meant to be more despite the fact that he is best friends with her brother and that it was only supposed to be casual.

Myka is a strong heroine who definitely went after what she wanted when she realized the app had matched her with Kingston. It was interesting seeing the two of them navigating their friendship to friends with benefits to real relationship.

The story moves at a good pace and is an easy, engaging read. There are a bit of angsty/emotional moments, but overall this isn't a heavy or dark story. I loved seeing some familiar characters from other books pop up too.

Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.

Truly loved Myka and Kingston's story. These two were a match on an app which turned into so much more. They were accidentally in a relationship while refusing to call it a relationship.

I loved all the rules that Myka had but basically every one of them were broken by Kingston. What was supposed to be just a fling developed into so much more than they bargained for.

Jason Clarke was the perfect person to play Kingston. This was the first book by Vivienne LaRue that I have listened to but I absolutely loved her performance. These two truly made the story of Kingston and Myka come to life.

This was just the perfect fake dating/brother's best friend romance.

Accidentally in Love was a fun filled, quick listen that pulled my heartstrings. Myka and Kingston are two lonely blackened souls before a fortunate accident brings them to partake in fun smexy times. Despite all odds they get along and start to see each other as more than just a benefits kind of person.

Jason Clarke and Vivienne LaRue are absolutely outstanding as Kingston and Myka.

I absolutely loved Accidentally in Love by Claudia Burgoa; it is an incredible best friend’s little sister love story. It is the third book in her Against All Odds: The St. James Family series. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Claudia Burgoa showed that she is an amazing storyteller and is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. She has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love all the characters in Accidentally in Love, they feel like family! Accidentally in Love is an incredible love story, which has filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions, and it was impossible to put it down, and I loved every moment on every page. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? I love how Claudia Burgoa always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong, sassy woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy man. I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. Accidentally in Love is filled with the heartbreaking and heartwarming moments that I have come to love and expect in a Claudia Burgoa love story. I was not disappointed with the delivery of poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Accidentally in Love is the love story about Kingston St. James, owner of Earth Field Markets and Myka Cantu, jack-of-all-trades, working at a tattoo parlor, brewery, and a serving at a bar and grill. Myka and Kington are in Luna Harbor for their safety, because of the events that occurred in her Covert Affairs series. Kingston created a profile on the WildMatch App as William “Willy” Davis to find someone to hook up with while he is in Luna Harbor. Instantly he is matched with Sofia Hernandez, only to discover that she is really Myka, who is off limits to him because she is the little sister of his best friend, Iskander. As Myka and Kingston begin spending time together living with one another things change between them. Conversation between Myka and Kingston flows so easily, with innuendos and playful banter, and Myka and Kingston constantly flirting with one another. I love how the happenings in Covert Affairs impact the storyline. I love the unexpected plot twist that changes things between them and everything that Kingston does to help Myka realize her dreams. I loved that Accidentally in Love is more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Myka and Kingston are facing that need to be resolved. Neither one believes that they want a relationship, but their feelings prove otherwise. I love how the storylines get so beautifully resolved. I love all the changes that they were willing to make in their lives to have a life with one another. I love the ending and how it went above and beyond the happily ever after, how the St. James’s are all reunited, and how the name of the book was incorporated into the love story with a simple statement in the epilogue. I loved catching up with the Cantus from the Luna Harbor series and the characters from the Covert Affairs series. My favorite part of the book was Kingston’s proposal to Myka. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Accidentally in Love, the characters feel like family and friends. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I enjoy all the interactions among the St. James siblings and friends, it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I thoroughly enjoyed Accidentally in Love, who does not love a best friend’s little sister love story. Highly recommend this incredible love story and am so looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

This is book six in The St James Family Against All Odds Series and it is Kingston and Myka’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Kingston and his family are staying in the small town of Luna Harbor instead of his home and business in Seattle because of a threat and until the threat is eliminated nobody can go home and Kingston is getting so frustrated and edgy because of the situation so he decides to open the Wildmatch App that connects you to people in the area without any strings attached only Kingston is shocked to realise that it had matched him with Myka who is his best friends sister but when she propositioned him even though she is off limits Kingston can’t say no. Myka is shocked that she is matched with Kingston but whet she said to him shocks her even more and she is determined to take him home with her even though this is something that she has never done before and because neither want a relationship it suits them both just fine but it is a one time thing only. What starts as a one time thing ends up with them be unable to keep away from each other which is now causing even more problems and complications but what will the outcome be for them especially if feelings start to become involved. The chemistry between Kingston and Myka gets stronger and more intense the more time that they spend together and there connection is something that only happens once in a lifetime but will it be enough to give them the chance of the happiness and future that they both deserve. Wow wow wow this book takes you on a big rollercoaster ride of emotions and I cried and cried some more with everything that Myka had gone through in her past and how she kept relationships, feelings, emotions and family at a distance and I loved how Kingston was there for her and supported her every single step of the way regardless of how much she tried to push him away he just kept coming back and wouldn’t leave her too face everything on her own. I couldn’t put this book down and loved how there family’s were so supportive about everything that was happening and was there for her and have her back for anything that she needed. There are twists and turns along the way that had you on the edge of your seat while turning the pages to see what the outcome would be for them and it was so addictive that I read it in one sitting and the storyline pulled you in and wouldn’t let you put it down. Claudia Burgoa is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will not be disappointed.

There is so much to love about this forbidden/friends-with-benefits/to lovers romance! It is hilarious, heartfelt, hot & steamy, and a swoony hero that you can't help but fall in love with. Kingston and Myka's story is beautiful, complex, and irresistible. Kinsgston and his family are staying in Luna Harbor for protection. Kingston is not used to being so isolated, and tries a new hookup dating app. What he didn't expect, was to be matched up with his best friends sister, Myka. Myka surprises him with a carefree attitude towards relationships and he begins to see her in a whole new way. They have a night of clandestine, explosive passion, not expecting to repeat it. But one night turns into two, turns into three, turns into.... You get the picture. Myka has a heartbreaking past that made her build strong walls to protect her heart. Kingston comes from parents with a bitter marriage, and was the one who took care of and protected his siblings. He has enough on his plate with them, and doesn't want a relationship. But as he spends time with Myka, he sees someone who is perfect for him, and begins to want things he never imagined before. But now he needs to convince Myka that she can trust him, and they can build a beautiful life together. I loved Kingston and Myka together! Their banter and texts were clever, fun & flirty, their chemistry was explosive, and I loved Myka's rules for hooking up. But they also understood each other, helping each other heal, and learn they are worthy of love. Both of their families love to meddle, give each other a hard time, but also are protective, and love unconditionally, making this story even more fun and heartwarming. I love that this story takes place during the timeline of past stories, allowing us to see events from a different point of view, while still being a standalone story. My heart broke for Myka, and Kingston's sister, Teddy, who each survived something horrific, and I appreciated how Burgoa wrote about it with honesty and empathy. It was so much fun having crossover characters from different series, with a story that intertwines.
Jason Clarke and Vivienne LaRue were wonderful bringing these characters and story to life. They magnified the doubt, fear, heartache, joy, and passion of this story and I was totally lost in this world. This is a beautiful, breathtaking, steamy, and totally addicting story with irresistible characters who will steal your heart.

ACCIDENTALLY IN LOVE is the 6th book of the St. James family series at Luna Harbor. I love this best friend’s sister, forbidden romance between Kingston St. James and Myka Cantù. This is a story about a love so unexpected, a love so pure, you can’t stop reading about it. This story is just so deliciously angsty and yet, somehow, never overdone, and it is an emotional rollercoaster. This story is also fun, witty banter, embarrassing hilarious situations, and moments of heartbreak. And the characters? I found myself at times laughing and other times swooning over the very handsome, tall, demanding, and sexy Kingston St. James.

Kingston’s family is under a threat, so they are sent to Lunar Harbor until it is clear to return to Seattle. Being bored, Kingston decides to try the dating app WildMatch that his brother Myles recommended as the best hook-up app. To his surprise, his hook-up is none other than Myka Cantù—his best friend’s (Iskander) younger sister! Can it get any worst? Or maybe better because Myka is no longer little… in fact, she’s a feisty, sassy, and beautiful woman. Maybe, just maybe they could hook-up for one time only to satisfy a curiosity—nothing more, right! Kingston likes Myka’s rules for casual hooking up because no one gets hurt, don’t develop feelings, possessiveness, and don’t expect anything more. What Myka doesn’t know about Kingston is that he definitely does not do committed relationships and fall in love because he was burned once before. Kingston and Myka’s unexpected attraction for each other is so intense, but the chemistry like the one they have can only be denied for so long. Their chemistry leaps off the page. Their battle of wits is tremendously fun—acerbic and sexy and filled with tension. Everything about Kingston and Myka seemed too good to be true, but none of that mattered until a situation turns Myka’s idyllic life upside down. What will Myka do now? Find out what happened—what a conundrum! If FUN is what you are after, look no further—read ACCIDENTLY IN LOVE. Their journey is intoxicatingly quirky, perfectly paced, and all around fun. I loved Kingston and Myka’s story. This is a book I can reread over and over again. Claudia Burgoa writes dynamic stories about love, forgiveness, and family. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

There is so much to love about this forbidden/friends-with-benefits/to lovers romance! It is hilarious, heartfelt, hot & steamy, and a swoony hero that you can't help but fall in love with. Accidentally in Love is the third book in the Against All Odds: The St. James Family series by Claudia Burgoa, and was billed as a dating app hook up between acquaintances that gradually evolves into more. Mika and Kingston both carry enough emotional baggage to fill a 747, so neither wants a relationship, but as they spend more time together, they connect beyond the sheet-burning passion between them. They have different goals for the future, but can’t seem to let go of each other. Can two wounded people who’ve sworn off love find the strength to reach for things they didn’t know they wanted?

Wow! This book had a lot more going on in it than I ever expected! The world building is complex with the intertwining of the Cantú and St. James families, bringing some extra drama and a little suspense. I haven’t read the first two books in the series yet, so I’m not sure how much context I’m missing. I didn’t have trouble enjoying the story, but I do have questions about one of the subplots involving one of Kingston’s relatives. King and Myka hooked me right away. I loved their witty banter, the texting, the mind-blowing chemistry between them, and watching a stoic, steadfast character like King fall first and be vulnerable. I’ve read several dating app premise stories, but this one was the most original with the deepest emotion, complex storyline, and heartwarming support you can only get from a large, meddling family. I’d love to know more about the St. James family, especially that mysterious one that I don’t want to name.😉

I received an advanced review copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jason Clarke and Vivienne LaRue provided dual narration this audiobook. Jason brought out Kingston’s grouchy, irritable personality, while slowly bringing out Kingston’s more sensitive side. Vivienne’s voice was perfect for Myka, with all her mixed emotions, from flirty to insecure, to struggling with her past and her desire for a child. Together they helped guide me through the changes in Kingston and Myka’s feelings for each other.

When Kingston St. James is forced to Luna Harbor for security reasons, he decides he needs a hookup and fills out a dating app, using a fake name. When he is matched, they set up a meet and is surprised when Myka Cantu shows up. Seems she has also used the app, with a fake name. Myka is his best friend’s little sister, and he should back away, but they are both adults now and agree to a one-night stand, with rules. Which they immediately break. Myka continues to make rules, which they continue to break. I was rooting for them to realize they were perfect for each other, even though they seemed to be opposites.

From the beginning Kingston starts to watch over Myka, doing things to make her life easier. He is the eldest in his family, overly protective, and know has taken Myka under his protection, whether she wants it or not. It was like a dance between the two, that kept drawing them closer together. Myka is amazing as she puts others happiness above her own, I really wanted everything to fall into place for her HEA.

I liked the slow burn, as they got to really know each other while struggling against their mutual attraction. And no tears! Claudia gave us a gentle love story with a light touch of angst and a lot of sensitivity for her characters. I received an advanced audio copy of Accidently in Love and this is my honest review.

Kingston St. James is one of my two favourite characters in the St. James family along with Archer aka Finnegan Gil. So when Ms. Burgoa revealed that he is partnered with Myka Cantu, it was a surprise. I know that in her books, anything can happen unexpectedly with these family crossovers. I think it's an excellent way to continue the legacy and stories of the characters from her previous books.

Since I started this series, I was already anticipating King's story and it was worth the wait. Who knew that behind the playboy billionaire and eldest of St. James is a man who doesn't believe in love and has fears of becoming like his father? All it takes is to take a chance with his best friend's sister Myka through a one-night stand, turned friends with benefits. Despite the rules set by Myka, he purposely breaks them and realizes that she is the one he has been waiting for.
Myka on the other hand, has been living with a dark and traumatic past. Shutting down a part of herself from her family is a way for her to survive during her dark moments. With Kingston's persistence and moral support, she was able to see the light again.

The events in this book coincide with the events from the Covert Affairs Duet (Seth and Teddy St. James) book. It's a given since so much is happening to this family as of this writing. Myles's story might also be written in the same timeline and that is something that I am excited about. But again, who knows? Anything surprising can happen in Claudia's world.

This was a short read and I loved each page from start to end. King and Myka's chemistry is hot and their HEA was satisfying with that epilogue. I hope we can see more of this couple in the upcoming books of the series. Thanks, Claudia for this.

Gripping, addictive, swoon-worthy, and a must-read are just some of the words that describe Accidentally in Love. Ms. Burgoa is one author that as soon as I see that she has a new book coming out I get excited. She delivers a brother's best friend, forbidden romance and friends with benefits that is sweet, gripping and has some funny scenes that had me laughing.

Who knew that trying to get a hook-up through an app would get you the one person that you can never have, your best friend's little sister, Myka, but only she isn't little anymore. Kingston is lonely in Luna Harbour because of a threat to his family and decides to download and made a profile on the Wildmatch App. Little did he know that the woman that pops up is someone he knows and is off limits. With Kingston dealing with everything that is happening with his family and Myka having some secrets that she keeps close to her vest these two start an interesting relationship. What started off as a hook-up turns into a friends-with-benefits relationship which then turns into something so much more. Their journey was one that was full of banter, teasing, dirty talk and hot and spicy scenes. Love seems to pop up when you least expect it or even want it and this is Kingston and Myka's story.

I could not put this book down. The chemistry between the two of them was off the charts. The storyline had my full attention and I loved the crossover with the other books that came before this one. The secondary characters, who were MCs in other books, added to the intrigue of this book. I highly recommend picking up this book and enjoy a wonderful and beautifully written story.
